Had a ride on the 787-800 last week, MEL-DPS-MEL. I could not hear any hydraulic pumps, gear or flap movements at all, GE fan engines not intrusive, just making synchronous pleasing hum on TO, very very impressed. It's a beauty & well worthy of following on from the 747.
when I saw the 787 in person I was stunned of how amazing the size and wing span had increased great fully from the 777. she's a gorgeous plane, so far one of the best. (in my book)

This is my local airport, where the biggest civil aircraft that land here are 737s and A320s. It’s weird to see a 787 taxiing through the airport, despite the fact they’re assembled there
After those two crashes with the boeing Max model aircraft, I lost credibility with the company. I found it disrespectful to put airplanes that crash into their operating systems into circulation without even detecting such a possibility. Human failures are intolerable, but manufacturing failures are inconceivable. I sympathize with the families of the victims.
It was not a manufacturing failure. They didn't told the airlines about what they changed in the plane. Airbus A320Neo was popular because it had engines that consumed 15% less in fuel. And it didn't had technical changes that required costly pilot training. They just hooked up the new engines in the A320 class. And it sold, big time. Boeing wanted to do the same. But the plane was low to ground and the new bigger engine will not fit. So they pushed up. That created a problem that planes will stall during take off and in cruise mode. The nose of the plane will pitch-up. So they put a system called M-CAS, to balance the plane. They didn't told the pilots about it. In fear that such technical upgrad and required training will make airlines walk-away from it. The MCAS will pitch the plane down and the pilots couldn't control the plane nor they knew what caused such action. Boeing simply cheated the airlines.

Even though Philippine Airlines has ordered for Airbus A350s, I still hope to see the Boeing 787 to be flying with PAL( Philippine Airlines) in the near future.
Don't know who produced this for Boeing, but they should take a look at how their main rival does this type of video. There was literally more time showing the thing taxiing (over 5'30) than in flight (less than 90 seconds). There also seemed to be two false engine power wind-ups while the video shows the aircraft taxiing. The aircraft itself is nice, but the video (as a production), leaves a lot to be desired.
That is what I want to say. :) Engines sound like that, when they are going to take of or when they approach to runway they reduce the speed and balance the approach speed to have nice landing. In runway when they are taxing I never heard something like that. :( Worse edit ever seen.
Airbus is the best, Boeing is flashy although I like embraer and Airbus. I love planes so Boeing is fine but if you ask me what I love its definitely Airbus!

The engines. Are not GE. This plane use a ROLLS ROYCE TRENT .
