it' not just an anime about a volleyball team this is an absolute masterpiece i would say even better than attack on titan writing not always does the main team win actually spoiler alert our main leads team looses in the end they didn't even get to play finals . and the last match of the manga man i just want s6 now . i mean the studio is working on s5 .
This anime is a hype machine...never expected to get on the edge with every episode with a normal volleyball show. It is such a feel good and exciting show definitely worth a watch
I never thought I could like a sports Anime since I'm not a sports fan at all in real life. Then this show literally had me standing up and yelling at the screen for the players to do something like they could actually hear me. Simply insane.
at one of the major tokyo stadiums, their volleyball mascot is Hinata's crow form! it's awesome to see what kind of things people can connect to the real world when the anime is loved by many
@@Professor_Wisteria_ In case anyone is reading this comment and hasn't watched the anime: No, Hinata (main character) does NOT actually transform into a crow. It's just symbolism lol
Haikyuu is a gem. The animation, the music, the humor, the pace... everything is at top level. But most importantly, it's one of the few shows where you feel bad when a team loses a match against our main character. The depth of every single character is unmatched. Glad you liked the openings!
@@GOTGames The characters of Haikyuu has Zero character depth. It's a good show with nice characterdesigns (that's why it's so Mainstream) and nice action but has no story and no character depth unfortunality.. Because of that it's not one of my favorite Sport Anime Like Ao Ashi(Football), Major(Baseball) and Free!(swimming).. Hajime no ippo(boxing) is also better in my opinon..
@@baumfigger I have to hardly disagree with you. Yeah, Haikyuu characters doesn't have a character depth of Monster, One Piece, HxH or even Hajime no Ippo like you said but to say it has zero? (I know it was a hyperbole) For me it has just the right amount of depth that a volleyball anime need to have, a lot of characters have stories, feelings, different reactions to wins and losses and some just don't have backgrounds but it's fine, most people just play sports in school for fun, that's why it is so good, not every single character need to be complex and have traumas or a life change story. It would be dull, untrue and have a terrible pace.
@@Andrealves3002 yeah they have character depth but not pretty much. That's what I liked to say. It's okay but because of that and because of It has not a story which is that good it's not one of my favorite Anime (there is Something Missing) and the latest 2 seasons are boring in my opinion. Differently from Ao Ashi, Hajime no Ippo, Captain Tsubasa, Major. It's more like Diamond no Ace and Kuroko no Basket! Which are only about the sport itself.
Haikyu!! is definetely part of *my* top 5 anime. It's an incredible character-driven series that quickly became a comfort anime to me ever since season 2 started airing. The effort the characters put into the sport made me cry lots of times
Haikyuu is a story of overcoming and friendship. The protagonist wants to play since childhood, but he never had a team. When he gets a team, he hears from several people that he would never be good enough for being too short. But throughout the anime and manga we see the team working together, as a family, and the protagonist improving day by day to go after the dream of being a great player like his childhood idol.
There's a whole genre of anime called "slice of life" which is shows that usually have very little action and tell stories about regular people going through different situations in life. Personally, my favorite type of anime.
Haikyuu has had several real life impact in Japan by influencing teenagers to joing their school volleyball teams and creating a steady increase on highschool men's volleyball member since it's release on 2012. Not only teenagers but professional players and trainers in Japan have express to have been motivated and influenced by Haikyuu!!. And even in other countries, as a profesional team in Argentina adopted a character from the show as an honorary member. It has been voted as the best Sport manga by university students in Japan this year. During the manga serialization Haikyuu remained on the top 10 of sales. Haikyuu is realistic, entertaining, exciting and uplifting. It motivates you. You might not specifically want to join a volleyball team when you watch it but it certainly inspires you to do SOMETHING. The anime is about to end as well as on 2023 the last arc of the manga will be separated onto two movies. It is a great time to watch the show.
@@alexandregehin8665 it's not unrealistic bc it's not like the protagonist team knows about everyone else's story line, it's happening in front of the viewers' eyes only. Also it's a breath of fresh air to not have a popular sports anime with unnecessarily evil opponents, and the sport is important only to the players and spectators, it's not treated like a matter of life and death, just a passion the characters are invested in.
@@laurainathunderstorm Im not trying to critique haikyuu because I absolutely love the show but most sports anime has pretty realistic opponents and characters. I can name many. Ao ashi, Slam dunk, Ping pong the animation, diamond no ace, etc.
@@laurainathunderstorm I also wouldn't call haikyuu realistic either because for anyone that watches sports Shoyo's athleticism is absolutely mad and he has the same vertical leap as Michael Jordan. If something really is "realistic" then a highschooler shouldn't have the same vertical leap as the highest vertical leap ever recorded in volleyball and the nba.
fun fact about haikyuu that volleyball was losing popularity in japan and players quitting the game but when haikyuu manga was published they noticed that volleyball gained interest because of the manga and when the anime began it gained second increase in popularity and second fact is that the writer of the manga is volleyball player he created this manga with his town and real other places in his mind. so majority based on true life the places and schools.
Haikyuu is a treasure, i dont know how else to put it. I personally wouldn't call it the best but its definitely up there and its among my favorites. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to watch a more "normal" or slice-of -life anime, the show is very motivating makes me want to work out and do better when I watch it
@@redmdleeDude you mentioned vibe anime and not Mushishi. I have not been able to find another anime/manga/movie/show/book that can capture the Mushishi vibe
As a huge fan of Naruto, One Piece, Aot, Demon slayer, hxh, JJK…, I can comfortably say that Haikyuu is my favorite comfort anime!! and come in second place as my favorite anime🥰 the animation is amazing and I love ALL the characters! I laughed so many times I cried at certain parts but it just shows how good this is written. Definitely recommends you to watch it
I'm sure anyone who likes anime would love haikyuu, it's an amazing show with great story building and character development. I really recommend you to watch it sometime!
6:51 “oh we have a love interest” I am so glad Yaichi did not become anyones love interest. She had one of the most wholesome friendships in the whole show with Hinata + grew so much in such little time. She narrates the time skip and it’s so fitting & touching. 🥹❤️
Haikyuu!! is an amazing sport anime. It also gets called Hype-kyu because it's so good at hyping you up for more. It is literally a show about volleyball. It's very character-driven. Without spoiling anything the bit with the mountain in Opening 5 is an allusion to the main team's next challenge. The Openings are fantastic and I do love some of the Endings for Haikyuu!! They're meant to be really good songs to listen to when working out at the gym etc. Sport anime is a great genre for anyone and everyone. Definitely think you should also check out some other sport anime Openings. My favourites are Kuroko's Basketball, Run with the Wind, SK8 the Infinity, and Yuri!!! On Ice.
Oh I see, so that didn't go rock climbing it was saying this is going to be tough... I get it now. So many of you are saying this anime is brilliant! Really making me want to check it out
@@CreativeHandleOrSomething Thank you ☺ Sport anime are definitely one of my favourite genres of anime. Also love Salaryman's Club; Tsurune; Free!; number24; Prince of Stride: Alternative; Big Windup; Backflip!!; and 2.43: Seiin High School Boys' Volleyball Team.
Haikyuu is one of the best animes ever in my opinion. I'm 53 now and watched Haikyuu as it was released. I laughed, cried, yelled like crazy and ate all my nails watching those matches. They definitely know how to bild up the tension with every point hahahaha. You won't regret watching it.
Haikyuu is such a good vibe, uplifting show! There’s drama, life lessons, and passion. I would recommend this to anyone And….everyone’s a good boy in this show 😊
Haikyuu is such a refreshing anime, when I'm feeling down or stressed I watch Haikyuu and it's instant serotonin. Who needs therapy when Haikyuu exist 💖
Haikyuu is such a fun (normal 😂) sports anime! I'm behind on the seasons but loved what i watched. If I remember right, as a fun fact, the manga (comic) artist originally did more horror manga. You can see that style come out in certain scenes. I hope you watch it come day! Also, I promise there are a lot of normal animes. 😂
literally just about volleyball. super well animated and a whole lot of emotions through out. best of the sports anime genre. or at least one of the best. highly recommend!
Back in 2015, I downloaded the episodes and watched them on the way to my Soccer games. These games were out of town. I would watch them as it took my mind of the upcoming game that were 3 hours away. Although in the end my soccer games were really rough, I still have very fond memories of this anime as it helped with my anxiety. Also watching them at 4 am while driving to state championships was something that I could never forget. The feeling of never giving up, even when you feel like falling to the floor and taking a break. Those feelings are mirrored in this anime. I have not checked, so correct me if I am wrong but the writer definitely feels like they have played sports. I can see the passion that was put into this anime/Manga and its story. Also Fly High is in so many of my playlists (4th opening), I love it so much.
What i love about Haikyuu is how well characters development in every team, even team on the other side from us. and yeah, i learn volleyball cuz my friend recommended this anime
I never thought i'll love a sport anime let alone about a sport that i dont have any idea about, but after watching this, man, this show is sooo good. This is my most rewatched anime of all time combined with all the reaction channels that i've checked out, it's such a feel good anime
Opening 5 is my absolute favorite. The symbolism in that opening! The whole team looking at what seems like an unclimbable mountain, to the mountain turning into an eagle to that eagle showing Ishijima. I love it!!! Haikyuu is such a good anime and i cannot wait for the last season. I know I'll cry when it ends.
Haikyuu took me completely by surprise. I knew there were a lot of sports anime, but since I wasn't interested in sports I never gave them a chance. I decided to give Haikyuu a chance, and it hooked me immediately.
Everything past season 1 is absolutely stellar. This show is dramatic as hell and will make you feel that same "drop in your stomach" feeling that you get out of shows like My Hero. This show is a crazy ride of pure hype, especially the later half of S2 and S3.
As a sports athlete myself I fell in love with this show's depiction of sports psychology. The way the characters in this show express emotions in regards to anything from motivations to struggles to simple banter is so accurate and it never fails to make me laugh, smile or cry. Haikyuu is my favorite sports anime.
Fr, i never really liked sports. Used to play tennis and i wasn't the best, mainly because i was dragged down bc of my height (being a 15 year old girl and only 4'7/140cm) so i kinnda related to Hinata and. But i hated, hated volley ball, the ball hurt my wrist, i could never get it and whenever youth group played beach volley ball i would always sit out. But then i watched Haikyuu although admittedly i was a little younger and it didnt really change my veiw on volley ball, than later on i read the manga and believe it or not i learned from it, my school was doing volley ball a month after about when i had finished book 18 (cuz i had to borrow from the library so when i could read them was limited) anyways and i could play, i had focused more on receiving and i was the best! Everyone was surprised because i had never showed interest in volley ball at all. Anyways im rambling on, this anime is truly amazing
Sports anime is a whole different genre. Haikyuu is an absolutely amazing anime and is a Top 5 anime for me. Haikyuu literally means Volleyball in Japanese. In my opinion, it is the best sports anime due to how much you can actually learn from this anime not just the sports but life itself. Many in Japan had watched Haikyuu and motivated them to excel in volleyball and go professional.
op 1 and 3 singer (Spyair) have a couple of song on the First Take that are amazing !! I'm sure you'll love the performance and the attitude of this incredible artist Also there is all sort of theme in anime world, the most random and the most commun Love your reaction !! 💜💜
I didn't think I'd like Haikyuu, because I usually like more fantasy-style stories, but the drama is so well-written and the characters are all so lovable that it immediately became one of my top 10 series of all time. Even professional volleyball players and coaches have done reaction series to the show and consistently comment about how realistic it is and how well it captures the best parts of the sport. I brings back the best memories I have of playing competitive sports, when I was younger. The first episode will tell you if you'll like the show, or not.
For some context on the popularity of this show: Haikyu! made it into the top 5 most selling mangas in shonen jump during its run (Shonen jump is the worlds biggest and most known manga publishers in the world). the fanbase of this show and the manga is absolutey MASSIVE! and for good reason, the show is incredible and i would have never thought that a cartoon would make me care so much about a sport like volleyball.
Haikyuu is unbelievable. It’s in my top 5 anime of all time and one of the most hype anime you’ll ever see, despite just being a realistic sports story without any magic, super powers etc. I feel like this is an anime anyone can enjoy, even if you are not into volleyball (as most viewers aren’t). You just fall in love with the characters and feel like you’re part of the team. Btw, you should check out Food Wars openings too, they are pretty good and it’s another rather unique anime for you to experience 😉
YAY THANK YOU!!! Haikyuu is one of my all time fav anime! It has such a huge cast and every single character is fully fleshed out and no one felt neglected. The creator puts so much care and love this story. It manages to be realistic and Not boring!! Every episode is so interesting and this comes from someone who knew nothing about volleyball prior to Haikyuu. It explores a lot of important themes throughout the episodes too! It seems like just a feel good anime but it goes much deeper than that. FUN FACT! Haikyuu is widely recognized by various professional volleyball athletes from all over the world! That's how good it is. In fact, one of the character, Oikawa, is basically an honorary member of Argentina volleyball team LOL. As always, I love your reactions btw! I'm glad you enjoyed every single song (me too) :D Edit: I forgot to mention that Haikyuu technically needs to be spelled with two u's because the Japanese spelling has 'ー' which basically lengthens the pronunciation of the last letter. But a lot of people spell it as Haikyu as well, so both spellings are accepted!
Haikyuu, to me, is top tier sports animanga. It’s character-driven but you get not just the growth of one character but mostly all of them, at least in the main team. The character arcs are always worth seeing. The volleyball matches are made more exciting because of the characters (there are gems in there when it comes to action tbh). And the whole soundtrack, not just the opening and ending songs, are always on point and brings the right emotions or vibe forward. I honestly re-read the manga for this to this day and still get the same thrill for a match as I did the first time I read it.
Oh man, Haikyuu is amazing!!! It really has to be something special when an anime actually has enough effect that it COMPLETELY changes the view of a sport across an entire country. Haikyuu was so HYPE that it actually *kickstarted an entire new generation of male volleyball players that went on to surprise everyone in the olympics!* Mind you, male volleyball was in decline there before Haikyuu started. *I heard when the show came out it was like every boy in Japan wanted to play volleyball all of a sudden kk* 😁
Haikyuu is a super well animated show with so many great characters and hype that will get you jumping out your chair so you should defiantly check it out!! Also a great anime to react to would be Made in Abyss, it has 2 Ops and 3 ending songs that are all good (Myth & Roid made 2 of the endings). Also has some of the best OSTs in all of anime so you should give those a listen too. Its one of the darkest shows I've ever seen and has a super cool world where you never know what will happen.
Man, I honestly am so emotional every time I see and hear the Haikyu openings because this series really made us emotionally invested ourselves in the team and the characters (even the enemy teams). This series is just one of the best volleyball anime of our time. So if you've never seen it? You definitely should, even if you're not into sports anime, if you just want a good story with compelling character developments, it's a show for you :D
I watched Haikyuu with a couple friends who played volleyball through high school and college and they LOVED IT Edit: regarding the “u” - the Japanese character is written in Roman letters as “kyū”. The macron (the line above) is used to denote a long “u”, so you’ll see it written by fans as either “u” or “uu”.
Haikyuu is one of my Absolute Favourite Animes! Even tho am not into Sports, This Anime still made me a fan of it with its amazing & lovable characters, the build-up for every single match & everything else that makes you incredibly hyped & emotional at moments 🛐
Yay it loaded!! Haikyuu is one my top animes, I could watch it over and over and not get tired. It’s what I would call my “comfort anime” No action, gore, or superpowers but an amazing sports anime with beautiful character development and a great story!! I don’t know If I can say you’d enjoy it a super amount, but I think you’d like it at least ❤
If youre surprised about the fact that a volleyball anime exists you need to know the sheer amount of anime that exist just means theres always an anime about everything. theres anime about anything you can think of: prison life, martial arts, candy, drug addiction, cannibalism, sentient bread, time travel, Batman, medieval politics, reincarnation, vampires, etc... theres literally an anime where Jesus and Buddah are just roomates living a normal unassuming life in Tokyo and bromancing. so yeah you wont ever be dissapointed when it comes to variety.
Haikyuu is a very good anime even besides the fact that it's vollyball and a sports anime. I think sports anime's like kuroku no basket, haikyuu and the new blue lock are just as exciting as action anime.
One of my favorite animes is called Hikaru no Go, and it's about... a board game. Seriously. It is fascinating to me because it utilizes REAL Go strategies and games. Originally, it even included a short companion show afterwards that was designed to teach children (or anyone really) how to play Go. Given the topic matter, it's actually a pretty good anime.
I highly recommend you check out the openings to both Free! and Banana Fish. You'd really enjoy them! They're both down to earth animes with banger openings!
Sports is an incredibly large genre in anime and manga, and honestly one of my favourites. (Right up there with Mecha) Haikyuu is just wonderful because they’re able to use the animation to show these intense and wonderfully coordinated matches you’d never be able to accomplish with live action. (It was also created by a man who just truly loved volleyball and wanted to share it with people who normally wouldn’t give it a thought. As a result of his series volleyball in japan actually skyrocketed in popularity as a sport.)
I comment a lot on your channel and you don't have to take to heart everything everyone says but LISTEN HAIKYUU = WATCH IT I never knew anything about volleyball before I watched this show. I thought I would never remember all the names of the characters in different teams and I thought there would be a main villain we will all hate like in different animes. Reality? I started playing volleyball (Libero anyone? :'DD) even though mostly for fun, and I adopted every single character in the show, they are all great characters and there is no hate towards anyone - you can't hate them for wanting to win, right? This anime, Haikyuu, is just something else. I watched it like 10 times at least and it has a very VERY special place in my heart. Sure, you won't see action like in Attack on Titan. But the animation is still fire, fights are so worth it and the characters are all so precious, relatable and just everything. I laughed, I cried, I screamed during this anime a lot because it's a whole roller coaster and I don't regret even a minute of my life I put into this anime. Definitely worth checking it out!!
Best sports anime ever. It's one of the more grounded ones, the visuals are great, the characters are great, the camera work is amazing, and it really gets you hyped. I never watched an sports anime where I'm glued to my TV and yell for the team and literally cry out at a cliffhanger opening, not realizing the episode ended.
For those who enjoy Haikyuu and are looking for something similar, I recommend Run with the Wind. It's another slice of life sports anime about running. The character development and feel throughout the show is very similar
Haikyuu is not just about volleyball, there are some motivational speech, inspirational quote, the urge to keep moving forward, roller-coaster feelings, happy moments and above of all, the greatness of volleyball. Me and my boys instantly playing volleyball as soon as we watched this anime. This story is about a young boy who defies the absolute rule where "ONLY TALL BOY CAN PLAY VOLLEYBALL". Main character doesn't even give a damn of what people think of him.
Since this is my favourite and I would love for you to check this out: You don't need any prior knowledge of volleyball to enjoy this. They explain the rules well. The Manga is finished and there are currently 4 seasons out. They will finish the show with 2 movies eventually. There are a lot of characters with very interesting personalities and backstories. Please consider checking out the endings too.
Yes please do react to haikyuu. It's phenomenal and off the charts awesome. It's so wholesome and heartwarming on one hand & on the other hand it's so hyped and pumped up, it's crazy. The show is so detailed and realistic in showing actual nuances of volleyball and make it bloody interesting to watch. And this is the only show where you can't help but like each character. The characters are nicely fleshed out and are quite relatable. Just like in this video you will constantly be thinking and saying, "how can I get so pumped up by watching a freaking sports anime" when you watch the show.
I think I should say it. In general, anime about sports is one of the most interesting, since this is exactly the genre that can keep the viewer in constant suspense. As for this anime, it's really interesting! One of the most exciting and inspiring anime ever! I would really like it to be included in the list of anime that we will watch after AOT. There is another sports anime called Basketball which Kuroko plays. Openings there, of course, are not for everyone, but the plot is in no way inferior to volleyball. Kuroko's Basketball was my first anime about sports, it was exactly what opened up for me to be in this amazing direction. I would also like to ask for a review. P.S. The first episode of Volleyball was released in 2014.
I feel like that's a reason Anime has blown up so much in recent years, everybody is starting to realize that it has all the genres that "normal" media like movies and TV have. Anime has everything like Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Drama, ect. Haikyuu is a sports anime, and I would say it's definitely worth a watch, especially if you like an underdog story. It's easily one of my favorite anime of all time. A lot of people have that preconceived notion that Anime is just "Japanese Cartoons" meant for children, and I couldn't be happier that more and more people are starting to realize that just isn't true.
Since you checked out all Hunter x Hunter openings recently, I'd recommend you to watch the endings as well. And don't worry unlike the openings they have all different songs.
Sports anime are quite a big genre in Japan - but Haikyuu definitely is one of the most successful ones for sure. Personally, I really like how the show handles the rival teams - there are no flat villians, very team is interesting an compelling in its own way.
Best word to describe haikyuu: hype!!! It’s really fun and the animation of the matches itself can rival the best fight scenes in any other fight anime out there. It’s fully fleshed out and the story is amazing. It’s an emotional roller coaster too. It’s up there in my top 5 probably.
Haikyuu was my second anime i watched, first being deathnote. I was skeptical when i saw that my friend recommended a volleyball anime, cause i had no interest in volleyball whatsoever. I decided to give a go and try the first 2 episodes. And i got hooked and made me fall in love with the sport. Ive watched 30+ anime shows as of now and haikyuu is for sure in my top 5.
This is definitely one of the God Tier anime. I've watched it several times but every time it makes me almost cry in specific episodes. If you have experience in any kind of sports, you'll love it. Even you don't, you'll love it. I'm a Japanese living in Japan and have been watching various anime more than two decades, and still I strongly recommend this.
This is one of my favourite animes from the last few years. I would never thought I'd like a volleyball anime as much as I do. I'm just annoyed about the news for the final season
Yeah, "slice of life" is a genre of anime that is all about regular daily life, and is one of the biggest genres of anime. Speaking of which, i highly recommend checking out: - Daily lives of high school boys OP 1 - Nichijou OP 1 and 2 - Grand Blue - Moss Kobayashi's Dragon maid
After Opening 1 you mentioned that it's just a drama anime not action. But man this Anime makes every rally feel like an intense battle. It's something else. And this is coming from a guy who never thought he could ever get interested in a sports Anime or show at all.
It's insane how good the writers are at making stories. I say this wholeheartedly, this is peak writing. They can make such a seemingly boring soort, intense as hell! I say seemingly, as real volleyball once you understand it, is incredibly intense. Hope you can watch this, I guarantee you will love it. We'll be here the when way
this show has made my cry so many times. its so much more than just a sports anime. if you ever watch it i hope you get to experience how brilliant it really is
This is SUCH a good anime!! It is amazingly realistic, and one of my absolute favorites. It got me starting to play myself, as I'm sure it did for many others! I think you would like to react to Kuroko no Basket as well, both openings and endings. It has a similar vibe. P.S: Yes, you are pronouncing Haikyuu correctly.
Controversially I'm going to disagree on kuroko no basket. It's basically about superpowers and ruins most of the show for me. I'd suggest ace no diamond instead. But then again this is just my opinion and some people like the superpower aspect even in sports anime. Ace no diamond is also about teamplay instead of solo people.
@@Trinedyy While I agree about the superpower part, I was thinking more about the openings/endings and their style in music. But for more realistic sports anime, I'd go for Area no Kishi as well. Not at all as interesting as Haikyuu in my personal opinion, but still very good in it's relation to real life.
Haikyuu is an amazing anime! My favorite anime! It's so action packed and hilarious! The comedy is gold especially in the dub. But this anime really keeps me on my toes as it is so exciting and intense. The author is a mastermind behind this.
So, yeah, sports anime is a whole genre. It just tends to get overshadowed by action and fantasy shows. Haikyu is easily the most popular sports anime now, having run for 4 seasons from 2014-2020, with the final story arcs planned to be covered in 2 movies. Also, cover Kuroko's Basketball next! 7 outstanding openings, 6 of which are all from the same band, so that's fun.
sports anime/manga is a whole other genre, it's so vast, you'd be surprised about how many sports that has an anime/manga of them and haikyuu is one of the best sports anime/manga
Most of the dynamic scenes you saw in the openings are metaphorical, like The top of the mountain, big eagle and crows, describing hardwork , strength and powerfull opponents. Anyways the anime is a big hype and it's more about being competitive and ambitious in a sports and slice of life genre it's totally awesome you would want to play volleyball after completing the first season lol, hope i get to see it
Haikyuu is such an awsome anime thanks for your reaction ! Worth watching it for sure. I also find the endings to be very nice. I recommend you to the Gintama's openings. Some of them are mind blowing.
I never thought I would like a sports anime, but Haikyuu absolutely stole my heart. I swear I cried more times in that show than any other, and there were multiple occasions when I had to restrain myself from cheering so I wouldn't wake up my roommate. Absolutely recommend!
Haikyuu is insanely good. The characters are fantastic, and the stakes are handled super well, considering the world is never at stake lol. It is in my top 3 anime of all time 💖 and reignited my love for volleyball, too 😅
Re:Zero endings and the 4th opening (Longshot) please! Myth & Roid has awesome songs here. You can't miss them. Also, Land of the Lustrous has a great opening and ending, really unique.
As someone who has been watching anime for over 30 years, it boggles my mind how some people think there are no "normal non-fantasy" anime. You are not the first reactor I've heard say that :) Anime is not a genre it's just short for animation, therefore it can be of ANY genre, for kids or adults, for males or females. Sports anime is a genre in itself (Haikyuu, in particular, is also a comedy) as is slice of life and romance. So if you are interested in more realistic anime, there MANY to choose from. My guess as to why you thought there were no real life anime is that anime aimed at teen boys (a.k.a. shounen) are the most popular and this demographic TENDS to enjoy more sci-fi/fantasy stories. I say TEND because many sports anime are also shounen and there are also romantic shounen. So yeah, tldr: anime (and manga, obviously) is very varied.
Haikyuu is one of the finest animes you will ever watch! It goes way beyond just volleyball! The story, character depth and development, everything is just on fire!!
Los temas de Haikyuu siempre son así de inspiradores que te animas cuando estás desanimado, te ayuda a no rendirte a pesar de las dificultades me encanto tu reseña, mis favoritos son el 3 y 6😁😄😯🤔🤔😱😱
I just started season 4 of haikyu and omg it’s such a journey that brings me such joy. At my highschool I don’t have a boys volleyball team but I really want to start one because of haikyu. Please react to haikyu, it’s such a relief especially if you’ve seen so many fantasy shonen anime like I have🔥💯
It definitely has some great Openings and Endings. And the Openings for Free! are sung by one of the Voice Actors' band, OLDCODEX; whilst the Endings are sung by the main Voice Actors as their characters.
You should check out the soundtrack to Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. Not only my favorite mech show, but easily one of my all time favorites for the storytelling and cast. The music ties it all together and has some absolute bangers on the OST
I'd recommend you react to "Kuroko no basket" openings . They are straight fire and hype, the anime is about basketball but it has hints of supernatural human capabilities but not over the top. Animation is beautiful the pacing is amazing and the tension with every episode is peak.
I never thought an anime about Volleyball would look so so good!!!

it' not just an anime about a volleyball team this is an absolute masterpiece i would say even better than attack on titan writing not always does the main team win actually spoiler alert our main leads team looses in the end they didn't even get to play finals . and the last match of the manga man i just want s6 now . i mean the studio is working on s5 .
Ngl i hated volleyball before this but the action in this anime is so interesting that i like vollyball now
btw when you reacted to naruto openings you forgot to react to the main openings that were the naruto shippuden openings . the best show ever .
Please react to Kuroko no Basket openings! That is the best sport anime ever, I highly recommend it and its openings

Feel you guys, can't agree more on this
Yup
Legit one of the best of all time anime
You should watch this anime next after attack on titan since this anime is like a pull back from the fantasy and back to the real world kinda 😊
"I'm a Believer" was actually played at the Olympics during the Japan vs Venezuela Volleyball match. Haikyuu is very beloved.
at one of the major tokyo stadiums, their volleyball mascot is Hinata's crow form! it's awesome to see what kind of things people can connect to the real world when the anime is loved by many
Do u have the link for the video?
They also played fly high at VNL when Japan got a clean spike
@@Professor_Wisteria_ In case anyone is reading this comment and hasn't watched the anime: No, Hinata (main character) does NOT actually transform into a crow. It's just symbolism lol
As well as Imagination
Haikyuu is a gem. The animation, the music, the humor, the pace... everything is at top level. But most importantly, it's one of the few shows where you feel bad when a team loses a match against our main character. The depth of every single character is unmatched.
Glad you liked the openings!
XD?
Wow, that does sound interesting! The shows like this where people talk about the character depth and writing are always the ones that catch my eye
(I know it was a hyperbole)
For me it has just the right amount of depth that a volleyball anime need to have, a lot of characters have stories, feelings, different reactions to wins and losses and some just don't have backgrounds but it's fine, most people just play sports in school for fun, that's why it is so good, not every single character need to be complex and have traumas or a life change story.
Haikyuu is one of the most emotionally fullfilling sports anime to this day,and man those goosebumps it gives, you have to watch it!
And the conclusion to the manga was also really fulfilling. Hoping the rumor I've heard about 2 movies instead of season 5 is wrong.

Slice of life is where anime shines the best for me
And it's a perfect genre if you are learning Japanese xD
I didn't know this! Thank you. ❤️
Haikyu is not slice of life tho
Haikyu is prolly one of the most realistic animes ever with great characters. All the teams are given a kind of story, even the most irrelavent ones.
Which is the unrealistic part of it :v A realistic anime would prob be boring af x)
Monster: Ha ha. Great characters and realistic, ha ha...
I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to watch a more "normal" or slice-of -life anime, the show is very motivating

Haikyuu!! is an amazing sport anime. On Ice.

Haikyuu changed my life, it appeared in my life when I was at my lowest. It will forever have a special place in my heart.

literally just about volleyball. super well animated and a whole lot of emotions through out. best of the sports anime genre. or at least one of the best. highly recommend!
Furudate LOVED going to his volleyball club after classes even if that meant he had below-average grades in class xD that's dedication I guess haha
@@WijaVT thanks for telling me that. 😊😂
Hard not to get swept away by such unbridled enthusiasm, even if it's a sport you have never watched in your life.
Everything past season 1 is absolutely stellar. This show is dramatic as hell and will make you feel that same "drop in your stomach" feeling that you get out of shows like My Hero. This show is a crazy ride of pure hype, especially the later half of S2 and S3.
I love BURNOUT SYNDROMES, the band that did OP 4,5, and 6 for Haikyuu!
As a sports athlete myself I fell in love with this show's depiction of sports psychology. The way the characters in this show express emotions in regards to anything from motivations to struggles to simple banter is so accurate and it never fails to make me laugh, smile or cry. Haikyuu is my favorite sports anime.
I never liked sports anime, but Haikyuu is just special.
I don't know how else to describe it, it is just *that* good.
I present to you Run With the Wind. An amazing character drama anime on running

I'm sure you'll love the performance and the attitude of this incredible artist
Also there is all sort of theme in anime world, the most random and the most commun
Love your reaction !!
ALL the characters are so likable. It's actually kinda insane how much I love these characters
There is something with sport animes that hits different. Haikyuu is just incredible
Actually there's a genre in anime called slice of life, which is mainly happy go lucky, most of them are super wholesome
I'm glad you enjoyed every single song (me too) :D
Edit: I forgot to mention that Haikyuu technically needs to be spelled with two u's because the Japanese spelling has 'ー' which basically lengthens the pronunciation of the last letter.
Haikyuu was so HYPE that it actually *kickstarted an entire new generation of male volleyball players that went on to surprise everyone in the olympics!*
Mind you, male volleyball was in decline there before Haikyuu started.
I watched Haikyuu with a couple friends who played volleyball through high school and college and they LOVED IT
Edit: regarding the “u” - the Japanese character is written in Roman letters as “kyū”.
Haikyuu is one of the most realistic and epic shows I've ever watched. Please consider watching it next
Yay it loaded!! Haikyuu is one my top animes, I could watch it over and over and not get tired. It’s what I would call my “comfort anime”
No action, gore, or superpowers but an amazing sports anime with beautiful character development and a great story!! I don’t know If I can say you’d enjoy it a super amount, but I think you’d like it at least ❤
Bro cant believe how happy this makes me
If youre surprised about the fact that a volleyball anime exists you need to know the sheer amount of anime that exist just means theres always an anime about everything.
theres anime about anything you can think of: prison life, martial arts, candy, drug addiction, cannibalism, sentient bread, time travel, Batman, medieval politics, reincarnation, vampires, etc...
theres literally an anime where Jesus and Buddah are just roomates living a normal unassuming life in Tokyo and bromancing.
so yeah you wont ever be dissapointed when it comes to variety.
Haikyuu is a very good anime even besides the fact that it's vollyball and a sports anime. I think sports anime's like kuroku no basket, haikyuu and the new blue lock are just as exciting as action anime.
Ngl i hated vollyball before haikyuu but the "action" in the anime made me like it
One of my favorite animes is called Hikaru no Go, and it's about... a board game.
Yess banana fish
Sports is an incredibly large genre in anime and manga, and honestly one of my favourites. (Right up there with Mecha)
Haikyuu is just wonderful because they’re able to use the animation to show these intense and wonderfully coordinated matches you’d never be able to accomplish with live action.
(It was also created by a man who just truly loved volleyball and wanted to share it with people who normally wouldn’t give it a thought. As a result of his series volleyball in japan actually skyrocketed in popularity as a sport.)
I comment a lot on your channel and you don't have to take to heart everything everyone says but LISTEN
HAIKYUU = WATCH IT
I never knew anything about volleyball before I watched this show.
Since this is my favourite and I would love for you to check this out:
You don't need any prior knowledge of volleyball to enjoy this.
Pure wholesomeness and hype. Imagine character development minus any sort of world ending, cartoon villains or bullshit powerlevels.
Speaking of which, i highly recommend checking out:
- Daily lives of high school boys OP 1
- Nichijou OP 1 and 2
- Grand Blue
- Moss Kobayashi's Dragon maid
After Opening 1 you mentioned that it's just a drama anime not action. But man this Anime makes every rally feel like an intense battle. It's something else. And this is coming from a guy who never thought he could ever get interested in a sports Anime or show at all.
OP 6 is special to so many people me included. After years of a hiatus the show that inspired us more than anything is back.
Out of all the insane things in anime I NEVER would have guessed that Volleyball was gonna be the thing to break his brain 🤣
Totally recommend the openings of kuroko no basket
sports anime/manga is a whole other genre, it's so vast, you'd be surprised about how many sports that has an anime/manga of them
and haikyuu is one of the best sports anime/manga
Please react to this show, the characters are so well done, you can feel the emotions they feel, it just so addicting
You should check out kuroko basketball openings as the name suggests its an anime about basketball but the openings are fire
The soundtrack in the show is also unparalleled. It's SO good!
Haikyuu is insanely good. The characters are fantastic, and the stakes are handled super well, considering the world is never at stake lol.
It is in my top 3 anime of all time 💖 and reignited my love for volleyball, too 😅
100% recommend haikyuu. It’s a dope show with a lot of hype, great characters, and really heartfelt moments
Re:Zero endings and the 4th opening (Longshot) please! Myth & Roid has awesome songs here. You can't miss them.
Also, Land of the Lustrous has a great opening and ending, really unique.
Haikyuu is probably one of the best sports anime out. Just so heartfelt, funny, and such hype moments
Please react to haikyu, it’s such a relief especially if you’ve seen so many fantasy shonen anime like I have🔥💯
React to the anime openings of a show called ' FREE! ', its about swimming. It's funny how anime can make nearly any boring thing interesting
It definitely has some great Openings and Endings. And the Openings for Free! are sung by one of the Voice Actors' band, OLDCODEX; whilst the Endings are sung by the main Voice Actors as their characters.
One of the only animes I can keep rewatching and watch any reaction to any episodes I can find of
You should check out the soundtrack to Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.
Not only my favorite mech show, but easily one of my all time favorites for the storytelling and cast.
The music ties it all together and has some absolute bangers on the OST
True
All op and ed are simply amazing
omg more than a year later i still strongly recommend this anime!!! it's seriously one of the best anime fr (and i've watched a ton of animes)
I'd recommend you react to "Kuroko no basket" openings . They are straight fire and hype, the anime is about basketball but it has hints of supernatural human capabilities but not over the top. Animation is beautiful the pacing is amazing and the tension with every episode is peak.
An amazing volleyball anime, one of my favourites for sports animes!
