Furudate, the author of haikyu, said by himself that he wrote this manga for people who doesn’t know about volleyball at all and not into sports but will extremely rooting for these kids after read his manga and he extremely succeed in this goal

My Haikyu story: I was not a volleyball player, nor a fan of sports anime, and saw no reason to watch this show, except people kept talking about it, and recommending it. Sooo, I decided, I’ll give it 2 episodes, see if it looks worth it or not. So I start watching episode1…….5 minutes later, and I am already hooked. I practically binge watched the first 3 seasons. Then had to wait 3 years for season 4. Worth the wait. Not only is this easily my favourite anime of all time, but Hinata Shoyo [orange hair dude] is one of my favourite protagonists of any fiction ever. Eventually, in my wait for season 4, I broke and read the Manga [I own the entire series now]. The story is so good. Yes it is about people playing volleyball, not much else, but in that is one of the most inspiring stories I have ever experienced in my life. [im over 50 btw, so I have seen many movies and read thousands of books, so I know quite a few stories]. This is Manga author Haruchi Furudate’s love letter to volleyball, and it is magnificent. Miss out on watching this, and your life will be poorer for it.

I really loved this anime in middle school. Like, loved it to the point where I got so into it that I started to visit our volleyball school section and participate in various competitions every year. Didn’t even hope to get anywhere with it(professionally), and well, I didn’t, but it’s still my favourite sport and I have so much fun playing it :) Fun fact, after the manga and anime’s success, volleyball as a sport started to rapidly gain some ridiculous popularity in Japan among school boys as statistics showed, and it’s very inspirational too considering the main character of the show, Hinata, is a short boy with very big dreams Thank you for the reaction !!
There's a good mix of people who barely know anything about Volleyball but still loved the show, actual Volleyball players who also love this show, and some that started to play Volleyball because of this show. It's one of my favorite sports anime, if not thee favorite, because no matter how anime it can look, it's still pretty grounded (even confirmed by Volleyball players that react to the show). That said, there are a lot of awesome moments in the show. Overall: Pacing is good, animation is great, characters are fun and memorable, and the games can be as hype as an actual game of professional Volleyball.

It is accurate to the actual sport, it's realistic (no powers like typical shonen), with really great, rooted, realistic, lovable characters, It's intense, edge of the seat action, competition , the technical aspects, strategies, intricacies of the sport itself, with no villians, and we never know if the main teams will always win..., and the gameplay has anatomically realistic yet incredibly intense, smooth, artistic animation and it has almost every important side character well developed whether in one off opponent teams or regular side characters... with great character development And with the dramatics, intensity of shonen anime... It focuses both on offcourt aspects - personal, practice etc as well well as the on-court aspects like strategy, gameplay, analysis, tricks, tactics, techniques, coordination, skills, talent, and perseverance. And the release of Haikyuu has caused a significant increase in students across Japan to take up volleyball. The story is about volleyball club striving to go to the nationals. But that doesn't mean those who donno volley ball won't be interested in it, the characters, the challenges, the struggles both personal and on the court, different people supporting them in their path, and the competition,.. and the screenplay, storyboarding, plot... Everything is as captivating as it can get.

7:00 haha yes, that's an actual drill!! you need to learn how to properly dive / fall 😁 in order to reach balls (not let them drop to the floor) that go really fast, you need to learn to dive to minimize body damage, aka, not drop on your knees mostly :) and, if you learn it properly, it doesn't hurt much :)

well haikyu is my top 1 anime, well when I first watched it on Netflix, I was bored and chose it because they were coming up in my suggestion from time to time so I checked it out knowing nth about vb or that it is about vb. but now the sports that I am knowledgeable most in vb lol
i first watched haikyuu around the time i was having test at highschool. the reason i know some of volleyball basics was because watching this, and one of my regret was that i didn't watch this anime before test because actually it's so useful for my PE test D': that's how haikyuu is so 'watcher-friendly' even for me who know nothing about volleyball. thankyou for your reactions!

Hi I have watched this series when it released. Waited months and years for total seasons and still waiting for next season battle between karasuno and nekoma match. It's has better individual character buildup and also alot funny and tense episodes which is fun to watch. After watching this you will really want to play volleyball someday and it's true.
I don't understand why the One who did the compilation change the Openings a bit? I understand the copyright but it kinda ruined the cool Opening scenes. other than that the Openings are fantastic as always

I'd recommend checkin out SAO (Sword Art Online) openings. The show itself is mid, but pretty much everyone in the anime community agrees that the openings are absolute fire. Also every single opening is sang by a female with a strong voice. It is also one of those shows where every single opening is good, there's no bad one. Some are sang by LiSA, who you already know.
