Full versions of Linked horizon openings have more references to their previous openings than you think 😂 There's live version of their song on RUclips
I don't know if you already saw them but if not here's three animes with great openings: "full metal alchemist brotherhood", "seven deadly sins" and "log horizon". Some of them are masterclasses.
When you said “Man I miss watching attack on titan” I felt it - wish I could go back to the first time I watched it! You should try reacting to Grissini Project attack on titan OST covers, you will realise that a lot of the soundtrack was actually in German and the lyrics are absolutely beautiful :)
The Rumbling is one of my favorite songs ever. SiM is their own genre, mixing metalcore, reggae, and punk. I've seen them live a couple times and they put on insane shows. I even got in a wall of death at one of their shows during their recent headlining tour.
If you're going to listen to the full version of any of these songs it has to be 6, My War / Boku no Senso. The song has even more to gain by being listened to everything it has to offer
you have to check "Hiroyuki Sawano / Project【emU】 “Attack on Titan” suite" it's live performance of some of the best OSTs of the show and has a couple German OSTs as well. definitely worthy of a reaction video
The scene during red swan where young Erin bumps into his older self is so powerful! His younger self can’t recognise the man he becomes, completely unaware of what his life is to become. Older Erin is completely blinded by his search for freedome that he can’t even see the joys of his youth anymore, the type of freedome a child has through the very nature of being free from responsibility. It’s a reflection of how the gang are once they finally reach the see, there all still able to find joy in there life and appreciate the life they have even given its conditions and yet all erin can focus on is the enemy before them a hundreds of miles across the sea.
Revo, linked horizon's composer, has primary band named sound horizon. Its albums tells stories. So if you think linked horizon makes "specific" melody in their songs, it's because they do reference something. Because Revo is a storyteller. It's his way to tell you a story through his songs.
The extended version of Boku no Sensou (My War) is probably one of my favourites It keeps adding more and more to itself, becoming increasingly more chaotic, just like war
There are live versions of the first three openings on RUclips; part of a full concert (which is also on RUclips). They're pretty amazing. And yes, full versions! Especially of Linked Horizon. You think you caught the callbacks, well, there's a lot more in the full versions!

If you search Linked Horizon attack on Titan live, you'll see they wrote many song to the series like song from Eren Mother perspective, song about Annie struggle, song about Petra admiring Levi, even song about Ilse from Ilse notebook ova...
@@hessiah2021 I left a comment somewhere here too about this but something more for you - they actually change the lyrics a bit too. The shinzou wo sasageyo from op3 was changed to shinzou wo tabanetemo. So it got changed from "give your hearts" to "we gave our hearts". They changed the perspective from the scout recruits in s2, to the fallen soldiers in s3p2. Also the bit with the growly voice that caught the reactor offguard, translates to "If you want to see the continuation of the dream, what can you offer? The devil whispered sweetly, creating a road with corpses." This is as the animation goes to the beast titan. It's Zeke, the 'devil' offering Eren a continuation of his dream of freedom, but creating the road of corpses with it. Absolutely crazy openings nothing comes close.

What's even cooler at 19:47 is that Linked Horizon actually use not just the first opening, but the second, third, and even an ending, all in 8 bars. It's really cool as well because they use the same melodies (mostly), but change the lyrics. For example, the "Shinzou wo Tabanetemo", was changed from "Shinzou wo Sasageyo" (opening 3). This means they've changed the words from "give your heart", to "we gave our hearts", so it's talking from the perspective of the fallen soldiers in season 3 part 2, as compared to the perspective of all the scout recruits in season 2.
Amazing video man, glad I found it! You have an open mind and try to understand songs, instead of judging them off first listen (yes I am a big fan of The Last Titan lol). I really hope you're able to make a reaction for the endings! I'd personally love to see your reactions to the full songs too, they really add so much. And if you listen to them on RUclips I highly recommend watching lyric videos with the translations. Many of the openings and endings have super interesting lyrics which tie into the story :)
The "Epica vs Attack on Titan" EP is well worth checking out, if you never have. Getting Simone Simons singing a bunch of those songs, with choral backing...
The use of german and germans names throughout the intros is for a major reason. Though the people on the island of paradis have a few different ethnicities, the main one is german as the eldian empire began with King Fritz. Based on fritzs appearance and timing, the fritz tribe could be compared to other germanic tribes before the unification of germany. But this is also evident through last names of character, like eren yeager, clearly a respelling of Jaeger. Its one of my favorite details that even though its a japanese anime with japanese bands making the intros, german features are very prevalent. One cool example is the design of the hosues within the walls.
Once you have finished the show, some stuff in the openings clicks. Like at 14:10 when adult Eren was around young Eren. I wonder if that's what you meant when you said that aloud. Also him looking at the 3 of them. Just hits deep knowing how the story plays out.
Loved your analysis! It would be nice if you do it with all the endings, if you want of course 😊 My favorite is "My War", it's a experience 😅👌🏼 and "Guren no Yumiya" has a special place in my heart
The fact you could tell the fans drop in Red Swan (opener 4) isn’t the biggest climax of the song blew me away. Listen to the full song asap you’re going to love it
Lol the characters are Germanic which is why the lyrics are in German. Not to spoil anything but ummm.... I dont know how to say this but there are German "soldiers" later on in the series that are very similar to an army from 1940s Germany.
If you've watched the whole show there are parallels you could bring out in the show versus real world stuff that happened, I imagine there's something there that you could bring out to say that's the reason why they went with german in some songs. But it could also be that german sounds cool sometimes. Edit: Also, very unpopular opinion but my favorite opening is Red Swan.
Yeah true, I gotta say, it's been a while since I watched AOT so I didn't really remember all the German and WW2 references tbh. Yeah Red Swan is amazing!
@@MrAnimeAlex1 Be sure to listen to “Red Swan ” in its full version. The composer of this opening is Yoshiki - pianist, percussionist, leader of X Japan, the song was sung by Hyde - singer of the legendary band L'Arc~en~Ciel. The sound of the song is fully intended. Hyde also sings the latest ending to DEMON SLAYER. It is quite in his style of his other band VAMPS :)
I think you should make this a common video, not a lot of musicians reacting to anime, you have a perspective and expertise that not a lot of people have. You should react to more anime music!
You watched AoT and you're asking why there are so many German names and references? Maybe you should watch it again xP You should also check out the Hiroyuki Sawano AoT Suite and other AoT OSTs, most of them are incredible (Call of Silence, Call Your Name, Zero Eclipse, to name a few)

I won't be the first or the last to recommend that you see her. Greetings and thank you for sharing and giving value to a part of this piece of work.
Red swan reminds you of creep probably because it's almost the same progression as creep but on a different key and changing one note hahaha Creep goes I-III-IV-iv on G major, while red swan goes I-iii-IV-iv in F major To me it's the best opening for this anime, it's just the perfect representation of the sad world those three live in and the uncertainty of everything in their world. I also strongly recommend checking the full version, it has a beautiful key change on the middle of it that bumps up this song to a million
I recommend you listen to the Eyeshield 21 Openings next, it's a sports anime about American Football and it's actually written by the same person that wrote the iteration of One Punch Man people are familiar with Yusuke Morata. The manga is actually very popular, and the openings are some of my all time Favorite! Another option is checking out the Detective Conan openings because those go hard.

Norman Osborn, Mikasa and me:
Oh, you can't do this to me... You know how much I've sacrificed? 🤬
Once you have finished the show, some stuff in the openings clicks. Like at 14:10 when adult Eren was around young Eren. I wonder if that's what you meant when you said that aloud. Also him looking at the 3 of them. Just hits deep knowing how the story plays out.
25:22 felt that “bro”
red swan is like the best opening i'v ever seen/heard on a series. Not just anime, series in general
Loved your analysis! It would be nice if you do it with all the endings, if you want of course 😊
My favorite is "My War", it's a experience 😅👌🏼 and "Guren no Yumiya" has a special place in my heart
The song🌷✨☁️
Episodes💣💣🪦⚔️
Please do more man these analysis’s are fun to watch 🙏🏼🙏🏼
you should show your best friend some of these, with some of the german they use in aot openings. Would make for a nice surprise i think lulul
The fact you could tell the fans drop in Red Swan (opener 4) isn’t the biggest climax of the song blew me away. Listen to the full song asap you’re going to love it
There are live versions of the linked horizen songs. You should react to them! very good videos!
opening 2 has got to be my favorite but honestly all of these are fucking amazing
also the rumbling reaction XD finally reached it and it is the best
Love your reactions! Also Luxembourg is beautiful, had a wonderful trip there once
The full versions of the Linked Horizon songs are incredible.
Can’t wait for your reaction to the OSTs
I'd love to see you react to the full songs from the Linked Horizon openings.
The opening for Kaiju No. 8 is also so good!
This is a neat reaction really nice
The suite is next ! Definitely have to react to that
Lol the characters are Germanic which is why the lyrics are in German. Not to spoil anything but ummm.... I dont know how to say this but there are German "soldiers" later on in the series that are very similar to an army from 1940s Germany.
yessss anime musicc timeee
The 4nd OP reminds me a lot of Muse music, especially the background choirs and the same way of singing
Which OP is your favourite?🔥
I guess Rumbling
Op 5 or Op3
good choice🔥
Op 2 easy
OP 6 My war and op 3
Sehr coole videos, weiter so :) grüße aus nähe Köln
oh my god, i am from Luxembourg too!
great video
Eyyy nice😊
Love you and your reaction bro❤
It’s my favorite one too.
Love it❤
I like you analyze like this ❤️😊
I appreciate it❤️
I don't have the most "advanced" knowledge but I love music and composition/songwriting...
日本の音楽は海外と色々違うらしいので、海外の方の専門的な意見とても面白かったです🥰
日本人の感性が歌にも良く出てると思います、海外の方も日本の曲を沢山好きになってもらえると嬉しい✨️
dude react to "Attack on Titan suite Project Emu" worth it 👍
Also I recommend Hiroyuki Sawano - AOT Suite, Bauklötze, all the AOT ending, Nisennen (final ending)
shinsei kamattechan is so goated
2:46 LOL Exactly!!
I think you should make this a common video, not a lot of musicians reacting to anime, you have a perspective and expertise that not a lot of people have. You should react to more anime music!
You watched AoT and you're asking why there are so many German names and references? Maybe you should watch it again xP
You should also check out the Hiroyuki Sawano AoT Suite and other AoT OSTs, most of them are incredible (Call of Silence, Call Your Name, Zero Eclipse, to name a few)
Alternative title: "If Eren Kruger reacted to AoT openings"
I came across this video and i suggest watching :
Attack On Titan Opening Guren no Yumiya Live🔥
Hiroyuki Sawano / Project【emU】 “Attack on Titan” suite🔥
I wish see you reacting this masterpiece 👑👑👑
You're not regret it 👍👍👍
Please do the outros as well!
The Title of the Video should've be "William Shakespeare reacts to Attack on Titan Openings."
op 5 takes the motifs from op 1 , 2 and 3 in its chorus, idk how people dont notice, its amazing
my war is so fire its literally my alarm
you should also react to the endings, they are as good as the openings.
I'm weird coz I like opening 2 more than anything else
20:35〜
振り返るとシーズン6が一番好きだったな😌
内容も含め「あれ?いつもの進撃の巨人じゃない🌀」って混乱する体験は初めてで、知らない国へ迷い込んだ感覚になれた。
Well, if you liked the openings, I don't want to tell you what it means to listen to the soundtrack while watching the series. It involves a story and some totally incredible script twists. I won't be the first or the last to recommend that you see her. Greetings and thank you for sharing and giving value to a part of this piece of work.
Oh since you liked the openings maybe check out the cover EP dutch symphonic metal band Epica did (Epica vs Attack on Titan)
AoT EDs next?
I always thought there was a choir of kids in OP6 but turns out it's just the band's singer with an effect on his voice lol
Hiroyuki Sawano love to use German in his songs
Now that you've mentioned it, it's true that the 4th opening resembles Creep by Radiohead
"Wow"
yup thats attack on titan for ya
TRY TO WATCH/LISTEN "YOUR NAME" SOUNDTRACK
The Rumbling and Sasageyo 🔥🔥
Are you going to do the Endings too?
Soon😉
Funfact about second opening. Nearly the whole beginning is in German
unpopular opinion - red swan by far the best opening here
Red swan reminds you of creep probably because it's almost the same progression as creep but on a different key and changing one note hahaha
Creep goes I-III-IV-iv on G major, while red swan goes I-iii-IV-iv in F major
To me it's the best opening for this anime, it's just the perfect representation of the sad world those three live in and the uncertainty of everything in their world.
I also strongly recommend checking the full version, it has a beautiful key change on the middle of it that bumps up this song to a million
Great reaction and analysis. Please react to the OST life performance by Hiroyuki Sawano!!
REACT TO THE OUTROS TOO!!!!! Theyre so so good and nice to breakdown
I recommend you listen to the Eyeshield 21 Openings next, it's a sports anime about American Football and it's actually written by the same person that wrote the iteration of One Punch Man people are familiar with Yusuke Morata. The manga is actually very popular, and the openings are some of my all time Favorite!
Another option is checking out the Detective Conan openings because those go hard.
listen to 'red swan' full version!!
