One of my main problems with Foamstars is also the artistic direction like you stated. It's not that it's bad... but how everything looks the same. Especially with the stages because Foamstars looks like every battle is in the same city but only in ONE SPOT of that city. And nothing is standing out from the environment. Like they do a panning shot with some distinct areas but no footage is in them. (I can see a ferris wheel and that blue tower at 4:13) meanwhile you ask what Moray Towers is, and you get an EXACT imagery of what it looks like. Hell even saying "The reef's first bridge" is an example of knowing a location just based on a simple set piece. Meanwhile foamstars looks boring with it's scenery and art direction.
To answer all the end questions: I think the game is enjoyable as someone who's played since Splatoon 1, and the aesthetic and music carry it so much, though the microtransaction bundles are overpriced and stupid (Don't charge $45 bundles for a $30 game, even if that game launched on PS Plus for free). Yes I enjoy the concept. Yes I've found it fun. No this game will not kill off splatoon, in the same way that hero shooters can't kill TF2, platformers can't kill Mario, and horror games can't kill Resident Evil, Silent Hill, or FNAF. It's gonna be seen in the public as a clone, and I'm just hoping this game with an awesome setting and music that makes me think of the Persona series doesn't die so fast.
I think you forgot to add Balan Wonderworld to that list of Square Enix games💀

I like the vibe it’s trying to go for but I get what you mean besides I think the finals does it way better.
I’ll always find it funny that nothin has gotten that team based shooter down since tf2

Woah! A Vertigo 2 mention in a non-VR related video? That really took me by surprise!
Such a underated game
@@oOCCBo Absolutely, I'd have preferred a lot that it had won the Steam Award for best VR game instead of that random VR game nobody knew about.
