The red dye you mentioned in the pork bun may not be allowed over here, so the colour would be more natural. Quite a few food colourings you find in the States are banned in Europe.
Yeah those petroleum/crude oil based azo dyes are cancerous and linked to ADHD. Good thing Europe banned those
Thanks for the info 👍🏼
Hi Lisa and Bill nice to see you back in England. I enjoyed some of the food in Chinatown London. You guys are so lucky to go there all the time. Have fun...
coming here after walking through Chinatown for the first time in ages yesterday. London born and bred, love our town.
all the food looked amazing. Thanx for showing us around. Take care.
Anytime guys! Thanks for watching!
I have to say, what incredible food day in Chinatown, London. Tasty. Affordable, Buffet. The Roast Pork looked scrumptious as well. I am a huge fan of Egg Tarts. They looked so fresh and yummy but The fish/ green tea, vanilla soft serve looked as if it could be a favorite! What a day!❤ See you tomorrow!❤
We definitely found some tasty treats on the cheap! 😋
❤U guys always make the most outta your mini vacations🎉
This looks like a must stop for the food adventure! Yummy stuff.
You guys would love various parts of Yorkshire, Cheshire, and the lake district too. I'm a Cheshire girl and it's breathtaking ❤
Lol, I knew Bill wanted Lisa to try the black bun cuz he wanted to get her reaction first so he knew it was safe to eat 😂😂
LOL!
Damn..you two are the best couple food vloggers while making a trip, so natural, stay safe...❤you both...
Thanks so much!
Hey Lisa, Hey Bill ❤ I would have wanted the Roast Duck 😂
Hi Daniel! I know! But, we had to stick within budget. lol

Thank you, Deborah!
Love all your videos 👏🏻
Yay! Thank you!
Im up for this challenge when next we go to London! Loved the video!
Thanks!
It's a bit of a Myth that London is expensive, sure there are some rip off areas, but Chinatown the competition keeps the prices keen it's good value
This was wonderful, seeing the contrast between London and Chinatown. Thank you.❤❤❤
You’re welcome 😊
Oooo everything looked so good. We eat at a place here the is ayce Chinese place but it not as awesome as to what you guys found on your hunts. Keep it up! All your shares of your findings of good looking foods which look all so tastey makes my mouth water lol Love you guys.
Thanks so much! Yes, we found some great places! 😋👍🏼
Only just discovered and subscribed to Bill and Lisa,s youtube channel .❤ you guys. You are genuine with no false pretences, very informative. Greetings from Australia. 😊

Thanks so much!
Just a wonderful tour and experience, so enjoyed it!!
Aloha Bill and Lisa: Thank you for taking us along while you enjoy the food of Chinatown London. It looks like Chinatown London is a good walking adventure and I am glad to see so many people exploring the area. Looks like you both had a “yummy” adventure during your visit. Best wishes and much🧧! 🤙🏼
Aloha Bill! The Chinatown there is so picturesque with all the red lanterns everywhere. Happy you joined us on our adventure!
Yes. You don't need the whole Jamie Oliver / Ramsay expensive foods experience all the time. Just stick to a budget ( if you can) in these crazy financial times, chillax.
For sure, Ben. There are great deals, just have to look for them.
Excellent way to spend twenty pounds! 🤩🤩🤩
Hi Bill & Lisa! Enjoying these videos!
I spent the first three days in Chinatown. I really enjoyed it! Lol my problem was a solo traveler is that, while I'm fat, as i get older. I can't eat as much as i used to. There's somehow not as much tummy space. My eyes are definitely bigger than my stomach!😂
I’m always excited to see a new video come up. I always press “like” before I even watch it. Lol
Thanks Denise! 👍🏼
Love this video! Everything looked so yummy! Now I’m hungry!
That was a great video seeing Chinatown in London! Thanks Bill and Lisa for another fun one ❤
Glad you enjoyed it, S! 😃
Great video guys, really enjoyed watching your challenge. Thanks and take care.

Thank you! You too!
LOVE the new Graffixs! May I ask, what app do you use to edit your videos? Very professional and best I’ve seen done! Oh yea… finally recovered from Legacy. 😂😂. Great one again and much respect and ❤️
Thanks Wil! No fancy editing program, just iMovie app on the iPhone. Glad you recovered, ready for another Vegas trip?? 🤣
@@billandlisa nope. Not for a lil………unless that’s an invite. Drinks on us. 😂
Love the new graphic and sound effects! You guys are getting better and better!!
Thank you!
Nice!! 😋

I'm really enjoying you two in London! Other vlogs I watch tend not to tour Chinatown, and I'm here for it.
Safe travels. 💜
Thanks so much 😊
This was a fun challenge! It makes u find the deal & not just go crazy & eat everything. 😆 Please do this style again
I wish I could travel like you do. So. I'll just live it though you good folks.
Stay safe hope you weren't around for the problems they had there in London.
We’re happy you can virtually come along with us! No problems or issues while we were there.
Happy Thursday Bill & Lisa
Happy Thursday, Christine!

That was fun! ❤❤❤
It’s Wednesday.!! Yay for another vid!! 😊
Yay! Thank you!
You could have packed that take away container with twice the amount of food! I would have 😂
Initially thought the lid had to close, but later found out it didn’t! lol
I want some Chinatown food!! I live vicariously through you two 😂 Thanks for sharing your adventures ❤
Our pleasure!
This was a fun video to watch! I had charcoal pork buns at Mott 32 in Las Vegas. They were interesting.
Mmmmmm. Thx for sharing.
Great fun...food looked delicious ...safe travels and God Bless ❤😊
Thanks so much, Jade!
Wow! everything looked so good! Now I'm craving Chinese food! But what really looked awesome was the fish shaped cone with ice cream. What a beautiful presentation!
Thanks Carol!
I enjoyed the 20 pound challenge, nice variety of food.
Hi Bill and Lisa, I hope, you’re both doing great. I have missed that you’re both in the UK, I’m glad I went onto RUclips. I lost 2 family member in the last 3 weeks 😢 so I have not been around. Stay safe, the food looks really nice in this video 💋
Hi Angie. We’re so sorry to hear of your loss. We’re doing well and will be here whenever you are ready. Take care.
The buffet was a great deal! Mmmm. Great video! 😊😊😊
Yes it was!
You know my weakness is ice cream.
Thanks for sharing.safe travels.🙏🏽❤️👼🏾🇺🇸
You’re welcome, Devon!
Sweet deals on some excellent looking food!
Oh yeah! 👍🏼😋
great challenge
This is a great video ...the food looks really good...Chinese food is my favorite ❤ have fun and enjoy your trip😊
Thank you!
The London China Town Buffet system and vessel for the food are very unique! Have never seen a "black bun" in any Chinese bakery in the USA. Great looking Ice Cream Cone; very expensive though.
Loved it. this was fun, guys. Would you believe - I lived in London for 2 years a while back ago (late '80's), and NEVER hit their China town. Oh well, my loss. Always, thanks.
Was Chinatown as big in the 80’s as it is now? Thanks for watching!
@@billandlisa Not sure how alluring/popular it might have been in the late '80's. As I said, never went. Was too busy hitting up all the **Indian restaurants, and ordering some Chinese fare in my own neighborhood (Chelsea, SW3). As a native New yorker, I can tell you New York's chinatown - an eternally famous, powerful draw, as I know it is in in San Fran and L.A. (your home base). Best-
I think I saw that chinese buffet on another vlog of the worst buffets in London...haha
Lol
LOL!
"I've never seen black (hahaha) buns before".
You two got some great deals! I think I want to go to London, my husband and I are planning a trip for our 20th anniversary.
That would be an amazing anniversary trip!
👍
Started watching this earlier today but had to stop and finish watching later.
This is a great video showing how affordable London can be if you do some research and visit different areas like Chinatown. If all looks delicious.
Agreed! Chinatown is a lot more budget friendly compared to Borough Market where it can add up pretty fast. Thanks for finishing the video, Yvonne! 🤗
I would love to meet you guys one day in the UK! =D i love watching your videos, thankyou ^^
Our pleasure!
I would make a bet that the “charcoal” bun is actually made of black sesame. I see black sesame in ice creams, desserts, etc. all over Japan and Asia
We've had black sesame desserts before, didn't taste like it. We're guessing just food coloring.
The Lunchbox, i would've loaded up with Chicken Wings
🐣🐣
good luck
Best deal was the take out buffet. I would have put some sweet sour sauce in the box for the spring roll and chicken cubes 🤷🏻♀️. Char siu bao was huge. British people seem to love mushrooms. Great challenge! Room temp drink...hell no! Lol. Thank goodness it wasn't that hot outside.
Great deal on the buffet takeaway for sure! Thanks Carol!
We pronounce pence P! as pee! (Really) so we'll say "that cost 10p. (10pee) less than that one"
Thanks for the info! We’ll get all the lingo right one of these days. 🤣
@@billandlisa you do really well by yourselves. You're wonderful 💛
Another great video!!❤❤ who would have known london has a Chinatown 😂😂 the Chinatown bakery bread looked pretty soft and good!!!!😊😊😊 the spring rolls seem better than the california places😅 all the desserts and food looked good. I liked how many things are individually wrapped❤ i wouldn't have thought the charcoal bread would be any good😮 this was a very fun video to watch!!! So many great 🍨 desserts😊😊😊😊 thanks for eating all this for us!!! Eat like a king😂😂😂😂
Thanks Beverly! This was a fun fun food challenge! Stay tuned for our last London video dropping this Sunday.
I really enjoyed this adventure. Just curious if you made it on the 20 pounds or if you went over? Seems like you got enough food to fill you up. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for us!
We made it exactly 20 Pounds. We have one more London vlog dropping this Sunday. Stay tuned!
Love ❤️ your videos! It would be great if you could wish Renee and Danielle a Happy Birthday 🎉
Thank you! Will do on the shoutout. Look for it in about 2 weeks, after the upcoming New Orleans series.
Hi Bill and Lisa. I love your videos. What camera do you use ?
Hi Kristian! We use our iPhone 15 Pro. Thanks for watching!
6:35 from what I hear curry is pretty popular in the UK.
Do you two follow Amanda & Felix from Hawaii? They were in London, too and just posted their London Chinatown video...check it out sometime. Really enjoy watching all of your jet-setting adventures!
Yes, we follow their adventures, as we’re pretty sure they watch ours. lol
Damn! You two ate all day on 20 pounds?! Now that's how you find some yummy deals !
Just got to search around. 👍🏼
OooooBill and that ice cream….i got his vibe even through a video …he was loving it. It did look great…cool and tasty. Enjoyed this vlog. Barbara PS--was the cash only - US dollars or pounds? Looking for the next one.
Thanks Barbara! All cash in Pounds.
You should check Wong Kei in Chinatown they are legendary for their food and rude customer service.
Lisa, they have any magnets there. I collect them. You please take pictures for me thank you
Yes, plenty of magnets in stores. We already left, sorry no pics.
Thank you. Glad you had great visit. Maybe next trip. Thank you again @@billandlisa
£20? Let's see...😂
Prices look like US pricing until you factor in the 30% hit on the exchange rate.
❤❤❤❤
👍🙂👍🇬🇧
13:00 I don't like when there is too much bread to meat ratio.
I heard VANCOUVER has the best Chinese food...due to high immigrant level from Hong Kong...can you do a show from Vancouver China Town!!!!!
Ybqw ❤😊
Did they have buns with red beans inside?
Pretty sure yes. 👍🏼
Try the Reading Terminal in Pennsylvania
Been there 7 years ago, here's a throwback vlog of when we went. 5:32 mark... ruclips.net/video/5TfQc9MKwqI/видео.htmlsi=Tb9Zge7iw07EMF38
Cant believe you got all that for £5 and even got to sit at their tables to eat it.
Yes, and we could've overflowed the container if we wanted (we saw others do it with no problem).
I could get the train there from my house half an hour away and still not be out of pocket.
I wanna be you in my next life. Living the dream. Thanks
no more budget videos spend money like crazy guys the best
LOL!
Hi Bill and Lisa can I get a 14th anniversary for Austin and Sun-Hee V . Are anniversary is August 21. Appreciate it 😊
For sure! Look for the shoutout in about 2 weeks, after the upcoming New Orleans vlogs.
lol
funny
I feel like Chinese food is the soul food of East Asian cuisine. Lots of carbs, sugar, salt, fat, etc.
Yup. You can live on 20 pounds a day....but you got to do your research.
Hi, very interesting London Chinatown, didn't know they had one. Also, you guys should consider travelling to Prague, it's a beautiful/historical place with great food and beer!
well Hong Kong use to be a British Colony that is why there are so many Chinese there in England and therefore Chinatowns was built
@@lilamk5 I would love to visit London too ;)
Prague ain't that great, full of homeless people, food is borderline, dog poop everywhere and considering it's in central Europe the stuff should be cheap but it ain't when things are cheaper in the surrounding countries. Also, very boring unless you like museums and castles. Poland, Germany and Romania are better.
Dating back to the mid-1800s, London has had multiple Chinatowns, including the East End (Limehouse), Soho, and the West End (Shaftesbury Avenue).
Hey, bring me back a 5 pound coin.
That was fun. Eating challenge. When were you there? Why is everyone in sweaters and jackets?
July 16-17. Thanks for watching!
Wow ho Lisa and Bill. You going to see queen. Also the Olympics
This visit was just before the start of the Olympics.
@@billandlisa ahh ok. We're you able to see any magnets. My appointment today for my procedure. Did not go well. Took me off from transcare. They shut down. Been horrible since beginning of July
@@deegushea4455 Sorry to hear, please take care.
