I grab three strands and just hope for the best. Sometimes it's a Dutch braid, sometimes French braid, sometimes a cornrow. But is it finished tho? Hell yeah so idgaf LOL

This "pinch + scoop" method saved my lifeeee. I was literally singing "pinch.. and scoop" along with the music. Thanks homie!
God bless you for making this video. I never would have seen how simple it is, you know, because it's SO easy people literally do it like the Flash would. So by this time next year hopefully, 'll be utilizing this WAY more.

I hate cornrows... flat twists too. I can never seem to manage the adding hair part 😒
I can do it but my hands always start cramping and I never finish. I've only fully cornrows my hair once and it looked HORRIBLE but I was proud and my dumb ass wore it like dat to school da next day 😂😂

Will it looked great on the first attempt. 😎 If you are a beginner I would advise cornrowing forward much easier! :) and then move onto cornrowing backwards. But GREAT attempt. I tried sooo many times before I got it right. Can I suggest you make your own styler gel from Linseeds. You'd be surprised how easy, cheap and how well it holds your hair. Your videos make me smile every time.
Do you recommend cornrowing on wet hair/ freshly washed or on blow dried hair for a first time attempting to cornrow your own hair ? I have no idea how to cornrow my hair and would like to learn

It’s easier to learn on short hair. Long hair gets tangled before you get to pull it through the part where you cross-over. I used to do flat braid styles all the time when my hair was shorter, now it’s a headache

So wait... a cornrow and a French braid is the same thing??
Hmmm.... but your hair is long..5 or 6 inches of stretched African American hair is probably the minimum needed to most easily braid with not the most nimble fingers... there needs to be a product that keeps the braiding strands easy to separate
Shorter hair can work if you make smaller cornrows. I once had a go with my uncle's hair that was 2 inches long. As long as you can do it comfortably without pulling your hair too tight it'll work with practice. You detangle the hair at each stitch as you go along to keep the hair separate. Oh and it gets harder the longer the hair is because you have more hair to keep detangling. I have friends who could cornrow super quick on short hair. They're slower on longer hair. It's up to you if you use product or not. I do without.
Will that cornrow reminds me of how I do mine. Never tight at all. It isn't messy. I've learnt to do them since childhood. Just wait 'til you hit waist length and you've got all of that hair to cornrow. Then simple works best or else you'll be at it all day.
