For me, other than the act of writing a brand new song, the greatest joy of being a musician is the feeling of performing to an audience. This is why our tour schedule has been packed almost to the point of insanity over the last few years. I love playing music live for folks, meeting the people who watch our videos, and just having that real-time connection. The world has changed to make that impossible for a while, and the loss of touring also means a significant loss of income for musicians like us as well as our team (we have a lovely booking agent named Jarod who does incredible work for us).
We’re hosting this concert to recoup some of the lost income from our canceled and rescheduled tours, and also to have a way to connect in real-time with you guys again, this time with high quality audio and video to recreate that concert experience.

Reina del Cid is a singer songwriter and leader of the eponymous folk rock band based in Los Angeles and Minnesota. Her song-a-week video series, Sunday Mornings with Reina del Cid, has amassed a devoted and diverse following made up of everyone from jamheads to college students to white-haired intelligentsia. In 2011 she began collaborating with Toni Lindgren, who is the lead guitarist on all three of Del Cid’s albums, as well as a frequent and much beloved guest on the Sunday Morning videos. The Sunday Morning videos also feature a rotating cast of bandmates, special guests, and occasional random bystanders.

Hey Ken you got me by some decades. I can tell you I did grow up hearing a little Dylan. Mostly what you might hear on some oldies or “mix” radio station. Often some movie will make an oldie popular again. Like Twist and Shout in the 80s. Luckily today we can share music online or share these videos with others. What a great time to be alive, eh?
Btw, as if to illustrate your point, I don’t remember hearing Dylan and/or The Band do this one. SundayMorning does it awesome.

I’m only 31 but my dad showed me Pink Floyd early. He was 44 years old when I was born and he was born in the 1940s. After showing me Pink Floyd I found jimi then the Grateful Dead and then Bob Dylan.
The lead guitarist on the left is the PERFECT Lead AND backup singer in my opinion - she just wants to subtlety enhance the band and not take over- so awesome !!!

It's hard to imagine anyone not enjoying playing if they could do it nearly as good as Toni does. Probably at least ten times as much as I enjoy listening to it. And that's A LOT.

I just went through my library listening to every version I have (19 of them). Then I spent a week sitting on it so I wasn't rushing to judgment.
It's obviously a matter of taste, but the idea that this is the best version extant is perfectly credible, IMO. It's certainly up there with the best.

No doubt Dylan's iconic, but I'll take Prine. Like a lot of song writers, Dylan frequently wrote about himself and his life, Prine wrote about others and their lives. JMHO

Great great version of a... masterpiece! Being myself from Brussels, I have always loved that song (rhyming Brussels with muscles/mussels, what a genius!). I remember Bob singing it here in 2002 for the very first (and last?) time, the crowd went mad! Btw, I love all your videos, keep on keepin' on!

Toni’s like a sculptor. Her slab of stone is the chord progression. Then she removes everything that isn’t part of the most gorgeous rhythm accompaniment. Masterpiece finished.
