Spelling correction: Osten Ard*
Every time I read these books I wonder how much they influenced a song of ice and fire
Such Great books, i should re read them again.
I should too!
I really want to read them but I only want the paper back of Michael weylan covers, super excited to start it though when I find them
Love those classic covers! Hope you find em!

Im think about reading theses when iv finished the Of blood and bone series
No idea wut ur talking Abt but I'm here for it
Was spelling it as "Austen Ard" on purpose?
Whoops that was an accident, forgot to correct that part in the auto captions 😅
I tried Dragonbone Chair and I was so bored! Could have been the narrator on the audiobook but it just didn't draw me in at all.
To be fair, the beginning starts off nice and cozy but then the pace drags on for soooo long until finally pickup up and getting interesting. I was super close to just giving up, but then around page 130 or so it got much better and the story drew me in. So I totally understand being bored in the first half of the story, and when the narrator isn't interesting that makes it even worse haha! But the story does pick up, and I love the second half of the book. It's sequels are really great as well
It is on my "Come back to this" pile. Part of the problem could also have been that I was feeling like a Greenbone Saga reread and that's not an easy series to ignore. I might try and get it on ebook this time to give it a better go. @@CapturedInWords
Idk i read one book by Tad Williams and hated it, forced my way through because "hey it might grow on me" but it didn't. Now I'm hesitant to pick up anything by him
did an AI write this script lmao
I had a hard time getting invested in any of the characters. All I’ve read is the first book. Compared to sanderson’s‘s writings, Patrick Rothfuss, and Joe Abercrombie, Ted Williams pales in comparison, when it comes to character building.
Couldn’t get into it unfortunately. Read about 250 pages of the first book before I got really really bored. Maybe the writing style is a bit too old. Really cringed whenever he said stuff like Simon pilgrim and scatter you catter. Just seemed like a whole bunch of old cringe-worthy dialogue. I enjoyed the segment in the castle but after wondering around for 100 pages after through the woods and the cave etc meeting the guy from that one place something like Iquinuc or smth. I didn’t care about the kings brother or what was happening and Simon made me cringe every two lines. Idk maybe it’s too meandering for me which is a meaningless statement, I like meandering books. It was just boring.
