Also redoing the roof of a rotten Winnebago Brave 94, had removed the bottom part of the A/C but couldn’t figure out how to remove the top as it resisting but I donc see any way it could be screwed into the roof, I guess I gonna try to pull on it harder, it must have stick to the roofing material. Thanks for your help!
Excellent series. I realize Im late to the party. But, what time can you come do everything you produced in your series to my RV? Nevermind, the wife said I just learned how to do it. Apparently I no longer need your assistance. I just subed when she wasn't looking. Shhh, Ill be back later to watch this again. :)
Bruh, that looked so ez. I'm resurfacing the roof and giving this a shot as it was last item on roof. Wss gonna leave it cause it looked like a nightmare. Hope this helps
That was a tough one for me. I actually used a rope and slid it down the rails of an extension ladder that was leaned on the RV at the best angle I could utilize. I ended up pulling it back up the ladder the same way.
I just think a helicopter would be much easier. They may also have humans that drop down and trim nuisance branches. For a bit extra and time worthy they also clean gutters. @@remodelyourrv
How did u remove the pan mine is stuck to the roof. Everything else looks the same as yours both inside and out. I can't see anymore bolts than the 4 that came out initially
Hello, I am working on getting my ac unit off my vintage camper and it is basically glued down by rubber.. anyways I wanted to ask you.. I thought I had a wooden roof and I bought a roll out pvc roof to put on it... but it turns out I have an aluminum roof... do you know if I can out down thin plywood down on top of the aluminum and then put the pvc down. Thanks for any help
That is a good question and I'm not quite sure if I have an answer for you. I don't have any experience doing anything like that, but maybe someone else visiting the channel can chime in. In the meantime, if I come across any information that can help you, I will pass it along. Best of luck!
Nope...the bolts (super long) run from the inside of the RV up into the AC unit. There is a metal bracket/brace on the interior that the bolts go through. Once the bolts are run from the interior and through the bracket/brace and into the AC unit, they will "pull" the AC unit down towards the interior as you tighten them down. I hope that makes sense.

Exactly what I was searching for!
I’m resealing my roof and was wondering how to remove the ac unit.
Glad it helped!
You made a very helpful video I have to change my RV AC unit out
Awesome. I hope it helps. Best of luck.
Great video pretty easy you can get it ripped off in 15 minutes
Very true!
This helped a lot thank you
Awesome. I'm glad it helped. Good luck with your project.

Hahaha. You don’t want my help. I’m wayyyyy too slow. Thanks for checking in and good luck on your project!

Good stuff
Right to the point
Thank you. I appreciate the feedback.
DONT FORGET, when doing this, replace the ac gaskets on the roof where the ac inserts
Got it so far... If there was only a video showing how to single handed get it down from the roof
I should have videoed that part, but it was too much of a cluster. lol
We straps and lower it down :) Works great!
We agree if trash to slide it off the edge and make a dent in the grass? Otherwise, fix it upstairs@@ClackStoneMedia
Any tips on getting the ac unit off the roof and on the ground?

I had to gently pry it up using a flat nail bar.

What did you do with the hole? Im thinking of buying a vent up cant justify spending 136 for a vebt fan combo
After I installed the new roof I reinstalled the A/C unit.
do i have to worry about taking the freon out? idk if they are all just a simple plug and play.
I’m no expert, but I haven’t seen any you have to remove the refrigerant prior to removing.
So does a penguin 2 fit the same holes?
I'm afraid I don't have the answer to that. Maybe someone here can help.
Is the hole size standard? Someone told me it was. I will like to get rid of it and put in another vent window.
I wish I knew the answer to that. Maybe someone here will chime in.
When you see enough bolts you just know where they go
Very helpful
Esther, I'm glad it helped! Thanks for checking in.
Big help for not knowing
Thanks and good luck!
So you are telling me that there were no bolts holding down that AC unit to theRV roof? It’s just sitting there…pleases make me understand this.

❤❤thank you, you were right the bolts were indeed long, bless... appreciate you sharing your experience.
