How To Fix Electrical Failure No Start No Accessories 01-03 Ford Escape & Mazda Tribute. Test Rely

In this video I take the viewer through the steps I used to find a major electrical problem found in a Mazda Tribute SUV, and how to fix it. I also show the viewer a simple and cheap method to test a relay.
One important factor I didn't mention in the video, and I wish I did, is the cars computer will not allow the actual starter to turn the engine over. When you turn the ignition switch to start nothing happens. The reason for this is the PCM or the computer controls the ground in the circuit that controls whether or not the actual starter will operate. Before the computer will ground the circuit needed to start the car it will look at other circuits in the car to make sure they're functioning correctly before it will allow the car to start. The electrical errors created by the faulty Ignition Switch Relay prevented the computer from allowing the car to start.
