- Peak summer travel is expensive, even in economy class.
In this video, I walk you through how to redeem credit card points for flights to Europe for as little as 25,000 miles and ~$200 in taxes and fees. Wayyyyy better than paying $1,000+
You can use the strategies in the video for American Express Membership Rewards Points, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou Points, Capital One Venture Miles, and Bilt Rewards Points.
This means you can do this redemption with the Chase Sapphire Preferred, American Express Platinum, Capital One Venture X, Citi Premier and the Bilt Rewards Mastercard
Keep a lookout for transfer bonuses. Currently, there is a 20% transfer bonus for Capital One Miles to Flying Blue. Instead of the usual 1:1 transfer ratio its a 1:1.2 ratio. This transfer bonus ends on August 31st.

I love it when the information is precise and straight to the "how to" of maximizing your points. Keep it coming!
Glad you like the video! I’ll keep making more!
I just love you! Informative, straight to the point and easy to follow ! Thank you !
Finnaly a simple explanation on how to use points, thank you
There’s no doubt that you’ll be running the credit card points sector on RUclips very soon. Very nicely done.
😄Thanks 🙏🏼
Short and to the point. I love your content.
🙌🏼 Thanks for watching!
Just what I needed, thanks a ton Max for creating and sharing this video. Right on time!
Yay, awesome clear and to the point. Max, thanks for bringing my fam of 6 to Paris in June 2023 🇫🇷
🔥nice job on the redemption !! 👏🏼👏🏼🥹
Love Max channel, a life saver for international budget traveler 👍
Thanks, Max! Definitely booking this way for my 30th Birthday trip next summer!
I love watching these videos
This a super sweet video! I would like to add that you're now able to book non-stop flights in the new 787-9 Dreamliner on Turkish Airlines via United for just 32k from SFO to IST. Chase transfers to United at a 1:1 ratio. Turkey is incredibly progressive, the food is amazing, and the current currency exchange is incredibly advantageous to westerners. The Turks LOVE American tourists and your dollar goes very far ($3 for a haircut and about $5 for lunch). Was just there 2 months ago!
Awesome tip! I haven't been to Turkey but planning on it and I heard its amazing! So looking forward to booking some flights to IST!
awesome video , very clear & understandable
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
You always have such great tips!
Thanks for watching! ☺️
Thanks Max, very good points for using my miles
Just found your page and super excited to try these tips! I’m trying to figure out a way to take my family of 5 to Spain in 2023 without having to win the powerball
Looking forward to your Flying Blue update when they start their stopover program! ✈️🇳🇱🇫🇷
Thanks this is my next step. We are probably a little late for June 2023 now but I am hoping we can get a great deal for next June despite the Olympics.
You Sir, are a life saver!
Can you also make a video for business class flights to Asia for the summer. Everywhere I look there doesn't seem to be good value for using points
It’s in my list of videos to make! I have an unlisted RUclips playlist for my newsletter subscribers. There are three videos where I walk through redeeming points for vietnam and most recently Taiwan. Maxmilespoints.com/newsletter
@@MaxMilesPoints Ty. Anything specific for Korea in the works? Flights there seem to be more expensive compared to Japan Tawain etc
Great video! Would appreciate videos traveling to Mexico and Philippines! Thank you 🤙🏾
THIS! I'm also looking for miles and points content for Philippines
Im really interested in seeing you breakdown your entire credit card setup. It seems like you have every card that offers transfer partners
Wow plan 12 months ahead for summer 2023 I just can’t commit to it so I end up having to look for last minute reward flights not as nice though usually
Dude!! you da man!!!
Thanks for watching!
More videos like this for us peasants flying economy 🙏
Thanks for your feedback! 😆Planning to do more economy redemptions!
Honestly two dream trips for me to use my points on would be lake como Italy or Iceland 🔥
This is literally my strategy i been using 😂

Great video! Are you able to book one way business class and then the return flight economy class or do you not recommend that? Like would I end up using more points in the end doing it this way? Thank you!
Awesome, thank you! Glad I stumbled upon your page on Instagram and clicked follow. I’ve got quite a few miles with capital one and wasn’t sure how to use them. I also just got a chase sapphire card after watching another one of your videos. Can the same thing be done for Mexico? I’m trying to plan a trip end of April.
You can but it’ll be a delta operated flight if you search in Air France’s website. You might want to check British airways to book AA flights to Mexico
Great video. Can you do one for business class to Amman for next summer with a week stay in a Istanbul. I have a bunch of chase points.
Thanks
Thanks this is so informative. How do I find out what the transfer bonuses are at any given time?
Thank you
💯 you got it!
Amazing! I was looking for flights to Europe for next summer! How do you add in the stop over? Trying to do LAX to London with a long layover in Paris. Thanks!
Hey! No stopovers are allowed with Flying Blue flights unfortunately
Can you do a video on how to have other people transfer points to you from multiple reward cards so you can book flights all together.
thank you
hi max great work, how do I get lower better buss class seats on Klm $ Af flights. as those flights are the easiest connections for us to from caraiben (sxm) to india & Far East.
appreciate your prompt response.
thanks and have a blessed day
Remember, Unless your ONLY gaining miles through normal spending the house always wins. Look at the r/t price to LHR b4 u use miles. Last I checked it was $550, now some airlines want 30k miles & $250 Nope
Hi Max! Thanks for the great video. Our family of 5 is planning an Italy trip May 2025 from Canada. How far in advance should we start looking because looks like the flight schedule hasn’t been released yet (it’s Feb 2024 at the moment). Thank you!
You should look as far in advance as you can! Most airlines open up award space 10+ months in advance. So you’re on the right track!
This is great love hands on example lol.
Glad you find it helpful!
Max, any tips for summer 2024 gravel to Europe if i am planning to use points?
I know this is an old post but found your video very informative... does it make sense to transfer points to take advantage of the bonus offer even if we don't have any plans to travel yet?
you can, but I personally wouldn't do that unless your 100000% sure you'd redeem them with that airline. I'd only transfer points if you plan to use them immediately for a redemption. your points lose flexibility when you move them to an airline and the are stuck with the airline.
Do Avios next please 🥺
Can you make a video for us to Australia
Could you do one for Asia?
Is it possible to split up the points redemption from different credit cards to book a flight?
I tried booking through airfrance with miles and am unable to book a flight for an infant. What do you suggest I do here?
So cheap to go to Paris! Just have to know that cancellation, strikes, long lines and delays can happen especially in summer.
what website can I use to get an alert when there is transfer bonus?
where do you find current transfer bonus list
Hi how u know when they had promotion?
Is it too late to book now for Europe this June?its 3-6-23 today :( or should I book for next year? Thank you Max!
If you’re looking for a good deal, I’d say it’s too late. Pay cash and save your points for next year
Short and straight to the content, Max could you help me how to book a flight on Alaska airline website awards ( 200K for the ticket) but I have Chase UR - 120k and Citi Thankyou 90K
Thank You
Hey! You can’t transfer any credit card points to Alaska unfortunately. Only way to earn Alaska miles is to fly Alaska or their partners or have their credit card.
So it is too early to book Summer ‘23 right now?
Can you please do a video on using points for Mexico. We have 88,000 citi points and 180,000 Ultimate rewards. Family of 4. I don’t really like flying ( that’s why I don’t want to go all the way to Europe) but I do like to vacation, and flights to Mexico aren’t that long 😊
Yeah I’d love to see him do a video on Turkish Airlines, they have flights to Mexico from anywhere in the US for 10k! Turkish is notoriously difficult to book! (Partnered with United)
Check out this video and it might help

I walk through how to book United flights via Turkish
I’ll make a video!
@@MaxMilesPoints i’m so glad I found your channel, there’s tons of channels that talk about the points and miles game, but almost none talk about actually using them! Thank you
Can you do this with the chase freedom points also?
You need the Chase Sapphire Preferred or the Chase Sapphire Reserve or the ink business preferred! Combine your Chase Freedom Unlimited or Chase Freedom Flex to this cards to complete the redemption
How do you add a connection to a flight like this ?
If you want to add a connection that connection will need to be a Delta flight. And whether flying blue will be able to see connecting flights is hit or miss. I recommend booking nonstop flights from the nearest major airport that Air France or klm flies to.
Living in Los Angeles costs me more :(
I did a search and it now wants me to put dates in, can you confirm this?
Click the X next to the date. Try and search one person first without a date to see if it requires you to input a date. Sometimes it's kind of finicky
@@MaxMilesPoints yes its still wants a date even with only 1 person selected.
Great video! Do you know the best route for redemption of chase points if one is traveling one way from Dallas, TX to Rome? The return flight will be from Paris so this video did help a lot!
I guess after some research, looks like airfrance would be another option so would prob just be able to go same technique?
following!
Your points percent calculation doesn't make any sense how do you get to 3.83. You're spending $700 anyways in taxes and fees.
Love these videos. Short, sweet, and simple. Thank you. :-)
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
