I just recently made a business class award redemption to Split, Croatia using two one-way flights with AirFrance KLM and one positioning flight on Delta. I generally reserve my Amex points for international flights and I'm excited to try out some more of their partners soon! Great stuff as always man! 👊🏼
Flying blue is far and away my favorite Amex transfer partner. Aspirational business class is really nice for one trip, but if you want to travel to Europe in a good economy cabin with good service for a very reasonable redemption *multiple times a year*, flying blue just can’t be beat. Also, bonus is their stopover program! Two vacations for the price of one!
Good stuff as always Max! I just booked 2 biz class seats JFK-LIS for 56K points via Lifemiles by transferring Citi TYP with the 25% bonus. This route is 35K/person biz on TAP Air Portugal. Gonna spend Valentine's and my Bday in Paris with my wife and fly home MAD-IAH via Flying Blue for 20K/person that cost me 31K UR points thanks to the 30% bonus. Saludos!
Personally I've exclusively used my Amex points through Aeroplan and have been really loving it, booking 2-4 seats in J at a time. Still have yet to book a round trip (or RTW) on ANA though, or Flying Blue and all those amazing deals to Europe!
FYI, British Airways just devalued partner awards on American Airlines and Alaska Airlines. This devaluation was unannounced, and it became effective Dec 12th. For example, LAX to HNL is now 16K, not 13K Avios points. DFW to CUN is now 11K Avios points (up from 9K).
do you know how long miles are valid once you transfer them? i'm considering closing my amex plat and want to store my miles with one of these airlines, but don't want to be forced to use them within a year (or whenever they might expire).
@@Spiritual.Warrior.777 yes, I tried it out. The answer unfortunately is no. If you book through miles, you don‘t earn XP‘s. This is kind of disappointing, since I have no Idea for what to do with my miles. I need every XP to maintain the status.
Thank you Max, needed video. One question, looking at BA for American domestic flights. I am unable to see them, Do I need to be login to British Air? Ty
Yes, depending on what route and class of service you want to fly etc. Ryan air provides flights cheap enough intra Europe but if you don’t want to fly that then it can make sense in some cases to redeem points
I’d consider it! If I were able to find award availability and provide bookings instructions for trip for you and one other person, hotel and flight how much would you be willing to pay for the service? Shoot me an email max@maxmilespoints.com
@maxmilespoints I would pay you $100 to find the booking and help with the transfer process. I can’t imagine it would take more than 45 minutes of your time. I have 110,000 Amex miles.
I second this. I would absolutely pay to have someone map out how exactly to redeem my points. If I could tell you “I have x amount of points, would like to travel to x destination, in x months, please give me a step by step breakdown including transfer partners etc… that would be worth some money for sure!
Man I hope I find award availability for Japan in November 2024. Availability starts opening up in 2 months and I'm going to transfer enough chase points to Virgin Atlantic to capitalize that transfer bonus now
I actually booked two business class award flights for Japan for September 2024 last month with JAL. I recommend getting seats.aero and paying for the membership so you can get notification for flights a year ahead. That’s what I did. They notified me and I booked with Cathay airlines. My points transferred in less than 10 mins.
Looking to fly thru JAL Airlines in October/November 2024 first Class. From San Diego to Japan Narita. Which are the best credit cards to transfer points to miles. I have a American Express any others?
@@judycanedo2938 if you got Amex then Cathay Pacific is your best bet. They did increase the amount of points you need to redeem back in October but they’re the airline you’ll most likely find award availability for JAL.
How difficult will it be to book for a family of 5 using your tips? Usually when I find award availability I only see 1-2 seats available. Trying to find the best way to fly to Japan in 2025 using MR.
Look as far out as possible now to see what’s available via British Airways. You’ll probably find the best options with JAL via BA. I saw business class with 6-8 seats at a time.
Good look finding ANA availability in a premium cabin! They are releasing one J and one F per flight, and people snap those up the second they open, 355 days in advance! 😂
Small 2.9% fee ...really dude. What's small at 2.9 ? That's about $3k a month for me on average on business expenses...I get it u want to get some kickback from melio bud dude...
Award flight availability basically does not exist for any of the routes I want to fly at the times I want to fly. Even then, it represents really questionable actual dollar value. The best Amex transfer partner has definitely been Charles Schwab for me.
Hey Aeroplan has a black Friday sale, where you can buy Aeroplan Milan they match you. If you pay $3000 Canadian for 100,000 miles they will will give you 100,000 airplane miles. This sounds like a really good deal is it?
Anyone know the cheapest way to Australia? Airline, transfer partners, Alliances, etc..? One World Alliance goes there from US but not sure how or which airline to book through.
With the exception of ANA, what’s the difference between this video and the Chase one?😂 maybe consider making one video that’s called the best airline points programs. Really no point in pumping all these content vids when there’s nothing new to be said.

Max, can you advise me on where would i transfer 400T amex to fly 3 persons on business class to Philippines.
nice , thank you for the tips. british airway to alaska airlines . sfo to cabo 🎉

Where ever you transfer them to it’ll be subject to the airline or hotel program rules. Some programs expire in 2-3 years some never expire like Delta
Again, nice job. #Subscribed
Heyyyy max I have a quick question how to transfer virgin atlantic points to saudi airlines ?
Super helpful video. Thanks Max
How do you find available flights?
Nice decor! Where can I get one of the black tile display boards you have on your wall?
if you transfer points to virgin atlantic, does it have an expiry date?
I plan to fly to Philippines next year, where would I transfer my points?
Need help figuring out how to get from the bay area to puerto vallarta in the spring without breaking the bank

lets say i use a travel partner to book a flight operated by united. Do I still get my united status?
It’s possible you may be able to still get your United status benefits if you’re able to input your United FF number onto the reservation
Max! Love your content! Help me redeem a my amex points for a flight to vietnam business class please!

What about transferring to Hilton Honors? The ratio is pretty good
