  • Watch as Anton Richards, Installer at Flood Protection Solutions Ltd deploys a Nautilus 200 Flood Barrier at a property.
Flood barriers provide a cost effective alternative to sandbags.
The flood barriers can be ordered for self-install, or can be fully fitted by our trained and accredited installation team.
The Nautilus 200 and 400 flood barrier systems are robust watertight aluminium flood barriers which can be quickly and safely deployed before a flood. Once the flood has passed, it is easily dismantled and stored away, ready for the next event.
The flood barriers are designed, engineered and manufactured in the U.K. They can span wide distances and are well suited for tough environments.
The flood barrier in the video was fitted some years prior and was undergoing a service inspection with a deployment video made for the property.
The barriers have been rigorously tested to comply with BSI Standard PAS1188 for demountable and building aperture flood defence barriers. The Nautilus 200 barriers have also passed independent testing for the new BSI Standard BS851188.
The barriers can be shipped internationally and you can find case studies of various uses on our website here: www.floodprote...

    Excellent flood barrier

Presumably the walls surround the area you're looking to protect and this barrier closes off the access. It's possible that the flood risk is at it's height during a period of heavy rain. What happens to the area behind the barrier? Won't it start to fill with water?

That is correct. It would fill with rainwater, but not overland flow. The area should also be defended against backflow with a Non-Return Valve, see video here: ruclips.net/video/nKu7NYliWdg/видео.html . For any water pooling, you can use a puddle pump.
