  • After a few minor setbacks it was time to just relax and enjoy a quiet spot in the Idaho mountains. No drama here, just a few small upgrades and a meal in the meadow. Seem like something’s missing? I avoided one feature I usually include in most of my videos.

    Slim,
I’m a second year grad student in ATL who’s been writing a screenplay about a boondocking van dweller. Naturally, from doing video research on van life content on RUclips, I came across your channel through algorithmic fate. I’ve been hooked ever since, and really love your authenticity and candor more than most of the content I get on RUclips. Keep on keeping on.

Ok, so here is some unsolicited cooking advice: When you try to fry something, put it in hot oil and let it sit. Don't poke, stir, flip and mix. Just let it be. When it browns on one side, flip it. You can put the potatoes and the zucchini in together, but let them be. When you poke them all the time, they basically boil and then fall apart. Thank you for all your beautiful videos!

Thanks for taking us along Slim. I wanted to share a bit about lighting. The amber color you see when you turn on a light or see in a picture or film is caused by what is called light temperature. In your case, about 3400 degrees. Soft, and warm. It can be incandescent or LED. Same for, like your bright LED lamp, would be 5,000 to 6,500 "Daylight" temp..Bright and cool like noon on a sunny day. (my usual favorite since I am now 70 yrs.. and need it for reading a map or doing small sized repairs etc.). The Brightness you want is determined by either incandescent WATTS, or LED LUMENs. When you want to purchase a new bulb, or various type of LED (there are many), you need to determine what color temp., watts or lumens you want for your requirement. There is more, but close enough I think. Thanks for sharing your adventures, I'm sure we all appreciate them. jd

These videos have been helping me get through the week. I have to put our dog down today. I’ve been watching these because it’s down to earth and simple visuals and pleasant narration. I don’t want to think and I need something to occupy my mind. Hopefully, these videos help after our old boy is gone.

Thank you, Slim, for that wonderfully AMAZING footage of a secluded mountain meadow!! The sharp colors & time exposure shots all said one thing to me: a patient & EXCELLENT photographer!! It's true. Most people take such a talent for granted; not me. I have been in love with the mountains ever since I was 8 yrs old, growing up near the Colorado Rockies.
So, w/o rambling on & on, I give this video lots of thumbs up!!! Thanks again (and, yeah, I'm enjoying finding you channel again! 😊).
    God bless! 💜
