That's beautiful country! I just got back from a ride over 4k miles from Bellingham WA to Sanders, AZ & back! My longest treck was nearly 900 miles from Ogden, Utah to Bellingham WA in 18hrs. Only stopped for gas and changed to cold weather gear crossing the cascade mountain range at night. Left Ogden, UT @ 6am, and arrived home around midnight. I slept all day yesterday after that last leg! I've done LOLO PASS a few times and it's amazing. I recommend riding Hwy 20 from Colville, WA to Burlington WA. It's my top 3 riding legs I've ever ridden and I've been through most nooks of all 50 stated many times! You cross 3 separate mountain ranges and high desert. The views and aromas are outstanding! I live in NW, WA so I start on the west side of WA and ride to Colville, then return the next day. There are no words that convey it's awesomeness!
You did such a great job on the series baby! So proud of you. Happy to have you home. 💗
Thank you baby! I couldn’t have done it without your support. 😘
I rode from Boise to Kooskia to Lolo on a ride that started from home in NE MN. My wife flew to Boise, I rode. After a few days with he family, she flew home and I went north through the Nez Perce National Forest and spent the night in Kalispell. The next day I rode the Going to the Sun Road made it as far east at Glendive, MT. The Going to the Sun Road was breathtaking but I enjoyed the 12 as it was just so awesome. The last day was from Glendive to home. All totaled, 3450 miles in four days in the saddle. July of 2024 will be from NE MN to Hyder, AK and back via the Beartooth Highway and Cheif Joseph Byway. that trip will be about 5000 miles. Love the videos, thanks for sharing.
Beartooth and Chief Joseph are one of my favorites. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
Had to save this one for a to do. Glacier was the last big trip me and a buddy did before he passed away. I promised him I’d keep exploring for him. One of the reasons I bought my Harley ❤.
When we rode Lolo Pass we came down from Glacier NP and spent the night at Lolo Hot Springs. Then next morning we headed west on US12 over Lolo Pass, love the ride, one of the best rides we have done.
YES!! Oh man I was hoping you didn’t miss Lolo Pass all the way over thru Lewiston. First time I road thru was over a Memorial Weekend and had no idea what I was in for. The mountain snow runoff had the river at peak depths and white-cap Class 5 rapids, and people line the river along the Hwy, camping, bbq-ing as the best kayakers in the world ripped down the river putting on quite a show for miles! Imagine having a cabin outside Missoula or Livingston for the summers and have this kind of riding in your backyard. If you find Lolo Pass & Beartooth in your top three, go east of Whitefish thru the west entrance of Glacier National Park before 6am (you’re in Free then), and you’ll be one of thee first into the park, your ride from the gate alongside Lake McDonald up thru Logan’s Pass, on Going to the Sun Road, to the east entrance of the park to the Many Glacier Hotel, may be the most spectacular stretch in the USA. The photo ops are endless, like the front steps to Heaven. No joke. Ride from Missoula to Kalispell past Flathead Lake and stay all night in Whitefish, so to get that early start to Glacier. Beyond surreal.
Love that area. We have property in Somers Montana right on Flathead. Never done going to the sun road but I do plan on it in the future. Thanks for watching and the insight. 🤙🏻
@@FullThrottleHOG Awesome you know the area and Flathead! Incredible riding, gotta keep the speed under control for all the deer. Like a petting zoo there!
I remember my first and only trip through Lolo Pass. It was an amazing experience. I stopped and took so many pictures along the way. Watching you go through the pass brings so many good memories. Can't wait to make my way back out there again!
This ride truly amazed me. I could've been there for days. Thanks for watching.
Just did 420 miles heading to do this little beauty on my Ducati Multistrada 1200S, when you hit the "curvy roads the next 99 Miles" And you go ........Gosh darn it......heh heh.
Nice ride. First time I rode Hwy 12 I upchucked my cookies riding in a Winnebago motorhome at age 11 passing through on our way home from PA USA to BC Canada. I still ride this road often. I live there now.
Today in Lawton, a little city in Oklahoma that I live in, had road construction crews all over adding MORE tar snakes everywhere it seemed. Most tar snakes here are three to five inches wide, and are a pain in the @$$! On a good note, it does improve my riding skills. I really did not know how bad the tar snakes were until I purchased my bike last year. The tar snakes are bad enough that I thought my front wheel bearings were bad, and on a good note, I have a set of front bearings for my bike for "when" I will need them.
I am glad that the tar snakes did not make it to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Reserve, where I like to ride most of the time.
Glad you are riding some wonderful roads, me not so much...
Sorry about me ranting on about the crappy roads here. You were just talking about how great the roads were, and I was not as lucky today.
Take care Ryan, ride safe.
Tar snakes are the worst!!!! Ride safe. 🤙🏻
Grew up in Missoula , HWY 12 Lolo Pass was in my backyard. Still one of my favorite sections of road. Yet to find a better section of road to ride.
Hands down my favorite stretch of asphalt.
Wow! What a beautiful route! The experience on a motorcycle is soooo different than when you ride in a car. The immersion is way better on a bike, imo.
I can't even imagine how bad the smell was. 🤢 I rode behind a garbage truck, and I was gagging... a truck full of pigs would've made me vomit for sure!
I feel the exact same way. It just hits different on a bike. Be safe. 🤙🏻
Spearfish Canyon is the best place I've ever rode. Beartooth Pass is now high on my 'want to go' list 👍🏻
I’m glad you decided to take Lolo Pass/12 vs I-90, I knew you wouldn’t be disappointed!! If you ever find your way back to N Idaho in the Couer d’Alene area I-90 and need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out! It’s been a while for me riding Lolo, but it’s ALWAYS a great ride!! Ride safe!
I really appreciate it Dale. Be safe. 🤙🏻
I rode Lolo Pass 2 weeks ago absolutely amazing highway. Definitely was worth the trip
It truly was a beautiful ride. Be safe. 🤙🏻
I try to run Highway 12 from MT to ID at least once per year...I just did the reverse ID to MT.. Hwy 12 is a great road and great people live along it in the small towns!
So true! Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
A fantastic road to add to your list. The bridge was a gem of a find.
Thanks Harry. I appreciate you following along. I could’ve spent hours at that bridge. 🤙🏻
Funny, an east coast friend of mine just talked to me about LoLo Pass last week. It's 16+ hours from where I live in NorCal, so after seeing your enjoyable video, it's now on my radar. If not this year, I will definitely make my way up to ride 12 next year.
Awesome! I hope you get out there and enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
I had the privilege to ride this road in July of 21 to and from my first Sturgis! Incredible,,,Thanks
That just moved up a few notches on my bucket list of rides!!
You definitely won’t regret it. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
Great road. Trying to convince my brother and his wife to take the #12 as the long way home from Sturgis back home (Calgary/Sylvan Lake). Hoping to stay in Red Lodge for a night so we can do Beartooth and Chief Joseph Byway. Last time I was on the #12, I was on the 2001 FLSTS. Gorgeous ride
Oh yeah, that would be a great combo. Maybe share this video with them. I would not pass up this opportunity. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
yes , I've been on this highway too ! Another really good one is highway 75 in Idaho also .
Thanks for the tip. I will check it out.
Wow what a Magical Riders Road....👌🇦🇺👌
Hehehe can smell them Pines in My Lounge Room..
It truly was amazing! Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
Took this ride in 2000 before it was closed due to fire. What great memories with hubby once upon our life time journey together. Thank you!
Thank you for watching and I appreciate you being here.
Best video I've seen on the Lolo Pass! As a photographer, I enjoyed your enthusiasm for both the road itself and your photography. I've done it twice before, add will be driving it it July. Can't wait.
One of these days I’ll be in Montana to ride. I’ve been there couple dozen times but always to fight fire and we are blazing our own trails deep in the wilderness and it’s still an amazing time. I’m leaving Monday for Arizona in the south or central part of the state. Last I heard it was 116 day time and 90 at night. Glad you had fun keep on riding maybe we will cross paths one day.
Oh man Dan! That’s hot. Stay safe out there and I thank you for what you do! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
This is definitely a bucket list ride
Wow what a Magical Place...thank u for the Ride..
👌🇦🇺👌
It seriously was amazing and highly recommended. Thanks for watching.
Man that was an awesome ride brother... Nicely done brother👊🏼😎
Thanks brother. 🤙🏻
Love that route. It's awesome in the fall especially 😊
Oooo I bet that would be awesome! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Since I live in the Pacific Northwest I had been on that road. Took it on the way home from Sturgis. Did you know that the movie "A River Runs Through It" was filmed on Lolo Pass?
Love that movie Chris. Thanks for watching.
Totally killer brother. Stoked you decided to add a bonus video 🤙
Thanks for watching Nick! 🤙🏻
Awesome Stupendous Scenery ‼️
WOW ❗😎🤙
Thank you 🙏🏼
I made the asphalt you rode on from the state line to 60 miles west except the fresh stuff you saw. That was another asphalt plant in my company.
That is beautiful. Adding that ride to my bucket list 😍 Thank you for the bonus!
It truly was amazing and I don’t think you will be disappointed. Ride safe Luke. 🤙🏻
Now we have to go and ride it! Was on our list for our CrossCountry trip back in 2020 but because of lockdown we had to re-route and skipped… damn I wanna ride it! 🤘🏼😝🤘🏼
It truly was amazing! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Ride safe.
I whole heartedly agree FTH! I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for 21 years; My buddies and I ride HWY 12 /Lo-Lo Pass every year, sometimes twice a year. It's that good and never disappoints. We always stay in Lewiston, ID and always eat at Ernie''s Steakhouse and breakfast at Jeffrey's Cafe! The North Cascades HWY AKA The Cascade Loop (20) is right at my back door and do that with friends multiple times per year.
I see that you are in Santee, CA...I lived there for years when I was in the U.S. Border Patrol, San Diego Sector. I transferred up here to Washington state after 9/11 and never looked back.
I will be riding LoLo Pass again in June 2024.
Great video!!!
Cheers!
My husband just did this ride and said it was one of the most incredible roads he’s ever been on. It was nice to have a visual to go with it. Thanks!
Thank you for watching. 🙏🏼
What a beautiful view. Worth the visit there
Thank you Stacey! I appreciate you watching. 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
The Lolo pass Highway 12 is fantastic. Reminds me of WV or VA with a bit of MI tossed in. Thanks for sharing.
I just sub'ed. I look forward to longer riding this year as my stock seat was horrible - just installed a Corbin. Things are going to get more real.
Hello there! Thanks for checking out the channel. I appreciate you being here.
Awesome job filming, the 12 made my list
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Ride safe. 🤙🏻
Excellent series! I’ll be in Hamilton next week and Lolo Pass is on my list of rides.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Ride safe. 🤙🏻
Definitely on my checklist of places to go!!! Great vid brother!!!
Thank you for watching. I appreciate ya! 🤙🏻
I felt exactly the same as you at 4 minutes 40, when I entered Yellowstone National Park from the West gate this morning. What a day I have had. Todays footage is the first footage I don't feel anxious about editing, it was such a great day. Unfortunately, I've 53 days worth to edit once home before I get to todays Hahahaha!
This Bonus Vid is a great "topping on the cake" video...Thanks again Ryan for the series.
Thanks man. Oh boy, 53 days of video…sounds like you have got to lock yourself in doors for a week. Ha ha. Be safe. 🤙🏻
and i will ridng it after i get back from Sturgis. Lolo is a part of my 1500 mile 36 hour fundraiser ride for Mile Monters Inc. Been a couple years since i hit Lolo. Great video you got me excited to ride it again soon. August 19th!
Wow! Maybe someday! I’m shooting for Sturgis next yr.
✌🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks…
Awesome! This would be a good one to add onto your route if possible. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
Lolo Pass is awesome did my first Ride1Kinday over Lolo. some absolute beautiful country.
It is one helluva road, corners until you're tired of them 😂 if possible
So true! Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
Every time I visit Montana I leave another piece of my heart. It seems that most of it is out there waiting for me. Thank you so much for sharing with us!
I’m right there with you Eddie. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
This is my #2 dream ride... My #1 is North Cascade Scenic Hwy... I live in Mississippi but spent a little time in Central Washington. My goal is to iron butt to New Mexico, spend a day in Colorado, head up to Jackson Wyoming, on to glacier, then Lo Lo pass, head north take the North Cascade, then down to PCH. After that just take my time heading home.
Hwy 20 is another great road (after college I lived in Everett WA). Lolo pass is still my favorite ride.
Your comment about that being in the top 3 roads got me to thinking about how we all define what it is best. It’s interesting to think about for me. I could see that being a top 3 in scenery but for me, when I think about a top road, it’s more about how many curves, what kind of curves and the quality of the road surface. It then makes me wonder how the way we define a top roads and if it’s linked to the type of bike. Would be an interesting poll. Another great vid!
That’s a really good point. I do believe all “ranked” roads are subjective. With that said, having that scenery like that for over 260 miles was insane. Sweeping turns with almost no straights. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
Awesome job by an awesome person and the best videographer out there!!
Oh man, thanks for the kind words Robert. I appreciate you being here and following along.
You have discovered our secret Idaho!
Absolutely beautiful. Roads like this is why we ride especially up here in the PNW. We loved your 12 days behind bars. Thank you for taking us along on the journey
Bro, as a 31-year resident of the Seattle area, now in Mobile, Alabama, I can confirm western Washington in the summer is a riders paradise. Green everywhere, temps this week of high 80's down to 59 or 60 at night, so all you need is a fan on you window and you sleep like a baby. Mt. Ranier, white pass, Snoqualmie pass, Steven's pass, and my personal favorite ride in state, the North Cascades highway. A ride over the cascade range on highway 20 goes higher than any pass in state. Over 100 miles across it between gas stops on a road covered in mountains of snow all winter. Pool table smooth with 1 state patrol on either end, so being uh, loosy goosy with the throttle from time to time. Seafair is about to happen this time of year. Unlimited hydroplane races, on Lake Washington. The Blue Angels fly over the race course at noon. Not a bad place to be on a bike in August.
The further I get into the vid, and see you digging the northwest, the more I want to encourage you to ride western Washington and the north cascades highway. As a guy who lived in central Cali until I was 20, finding a place with mellow summers and green everywhere was so refreshing. It's what riding should be in what summer should be. Highly recommend it dude, by the looks of your enthusiasm, I'm sure you and wifey would thoroughly enjoy.
Awesome Vid! Hwy 12 is a fav of mine! I've been on it both directions several times over the years, Riding and/or pulling my 5th Wheel Toyhauler. The Bridge u walked on was over the Lochsa River, then further west is the Clearwater River. Funny that u wanted to jump in the River, which I've done a few times to cool off! Ride On Bro!!!
Thank you Larry. I appreciate the insight as well. It really was an outstanding ride. I could’ve spent a few days there without question. I can’t wait to show this road to my wife. Be safe. 🤙🏻
Love it.Thanks
LO LO PASS IS AMAZING !!
Great series and bonus. Definitely on the list
I thank you for following along. Be safe. 🤙🏻
We ran that a couple of years ago and it was one of the best rides we did. Seeing the drone footage definitely makes me want to go back real soon. Thanks for the video excellent job capturing the amazing scenery.
Thank you Mike for watching. 🤙🏻
Wow adding that to the bucket list!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 🤙🏻
Very nice road and very nice ride.
Thanks Papa P. I appreciate you watching. 🤙🏻
Wow an amazing leg of your journey home. Thanks for sharing man 😎🤙🏻
It seriously was a bonus highlight of the trip. Thanks for following along. 🤙🏻
Live your videos ! Awesome!
What a beautiful ride…have to make to make the trip from Connecticut out there
It is seriously amazing and you wont regret it.
Great bonus video! Loved it
Completely agree with your comments on the T-Bars. I opted for the Kraus ERG setup after watching Adam’s giveaway build. Chatted with him about it when I joined the Convoy in AZ.
Nice! That setup looks amazing with a lot of ability to make it your own. Ride safe. 🤙🏻
Love the videos ,top quality dude, I'm in northern Ontario,Canada and I can't wait to get back out riding, your epic footage makes me envious lol
I’m spoiled. I grew up in Missoula and rode 12 a couple times a month.
Oooooo I’m jealous. Trying to get up that way next month to hit up 12 again. 🤙🏻
In the 12 days behind bars series you mentioned that it would be raw. If this was raw, I am very curios to see "not raw". This was a fantastic video!
Thank you Larry. To see what I was referring too, I would ask you to watch “Sturgis Doesn’t Care” and “Every Mile A Memory”. Those are two documentaries that show the other style. 🤙🏻
Im goin to glacier in 3 weeks. Thanks for this. Im gonna hit it also.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Fantastic road to ride in fact in my opinion very underrated by motorcyclists surrounded by motorcyclists around the country
Awesome riding day!
This is why we ride.
Agreed! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Thanks for your videos
Thank you David for following along. 🤙🏻
Great video. Glad you enjoyed the 12. Was awesome to see and hear your excitement during that ride.
Love the 12 Days Behind Bars series and this bonus. Never been on the 12 but I’ve followed it on Google Earth. This video confirms how beautiful I thought it would be. Thank you. I love your channel. Ride safe brother. Maybe I’ll see you on the road someday.
This is my drive home lol. I work in lolo but live by the hotsprings. I guess I’m pretty lucky
Awesome video thanks for sharing it 👍🇺🇸
Thank you for following along Jim! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Absolutely beautiful! I’m running out of words for my comments. All I can say is Wow!
Thanks Jim. I appreciate your constant support for these videos. Be safe. 🤙🏻
Hi there, I have been binging on your videos and man! I tell you, they are really good! I am from the Philippines and not an HD guy (yet!😂) but your videos are awesome and so inspiring that I just want to ride all the time. Take care man and ride safe always! Oh and keep those videos comin’. God bless you man!
Enjoyed the 12 days series. I have now seen your "professional" video and your "raw" video. You do such a fantastic job of taking us along on your trips. Stay safe !!!!!
Been there in a snow storm. I was too cold to enjoy it
Fantastic! Ive now seen the whole series. I really have enjoyed the way you do things
Thank you Chris. I really appreciate you following along. Be safe. 🤙🏻
Great road eh did it last year heading to Sturgis. It’s also in my top 3 I’ve ridden. Great Video in joy them all
Thank you! I really appreciate you following along. 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Awe, man. I loved this series so much that I'm sorry to see it end! That road looked epic! I had a similar experience last weekend on my first long road trip in a while, riding through the farmlands of Central Wisconsin. There were a lot of "Oh man... oh my... I hope the camera is doing this justice... wow, just wows" coming from me. Haha! Great job on the series, dude!
Awesome ride safe
Thank you Joanne. 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Rode Lola Pass last year in June and it rained the entire time
Oh no Tom. Sorry to hear about that. Hopefully you get a chance to give it another go. 🤙🏻
Imagine coming over the top and starting down the southside with an intense lightning storm. I did that driving truck.
Oh man! That would be insane. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Lolo and hwy12 are awesome you should do the cascade loop hwy2 and hwy20 in Washington
Good to know. I will put that on my list. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
That was gorgeous. I really want to get out west (UPSTATE New Yorker), and see some of that stuff.
I once drove my 21 ft travel trailer from Dillion MT to Clarkson, WA over highway 22 in a day.... Trailering, and going up hill, it was a very, very long grueling day making that trip over highway 12. I was not that impressed with it.... highway 1 south from Astoria, OR to Coquille, OR to stay at an Indian Casino was a much much better drive. Stopped and did a tour at the cheese factory in Tillamook.... Highly recommend it. As for doing "raw" video's.... when you have material this good, footage and picture wise, to work with... it's impossible to not come out with a very polished video.... so, so, so much material in the 180 to 200 miles of this. Maybe if I'd gotten an earlier start, from Missoula that morning, it would have been more enjoyable. Coming into Clarkson at late sunset to set up camp, was not fun, enormous amounts of mosquitos I was trying to keep out of my travel trailer. Savage blood sucking beasts!
I Agree with Eating oil my 2019 RG Special does that on Long trips
Glad to hear it’s not just me. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
Seeing all that greenery made my sinuses flare up 😆 Looks like a great ride for sure!
Lol, it was amazing! Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻
Rode the pass twice. Was on a Goldwing. From Lewiston ID to Missoula MT. Would love to ride once on my Harley the direction U are riding. Down hill.
Haha. The smell like feet turning out to be pigs had me LOL. Great series. Thanks.
Lol, it smelt sooooo bad. Then I had to laugh at myself. 🤙🏻
Very cool series. My wife and i were thinking about going to Durango Colorado Labor Day weekend. We have ridden there numerous times. When we saw your video on Lolo Pass we changed our mind and r riding there from iowa instead. Thank u for showing and talking about Lolo. By the way did u get the eye drops?
