Tough decision, I'd love to have both, but I think the flanger has the edge, to my ear at least. I'd love to use the flanger with a chorus pedal to create feedback, I imagine that would sound pretty cool!

Flanger just feels bigger and fuller, but phase+heavy dist., like a rat or a muff, is a killer combination.

That "wah-wah" depends on the rate setting. The rate in this video seems rather high.

Phaser sounds better with distortion.

more extreme chorus.

It depends on what type of sound you are trying to find... But the most common is dist and od before any fx because it's like the root effect that alters the main sound
