Tip for driving a slammed car: from now on, *all* speed bumps shall be viewed & treated as kicker ramps. If all of that time spent playing hours/days/weeks of 'graffiti' in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (OG version or bust) could translate into anything in real life, it's that you *are* Chad Muska each and every time you approach a speed bump. And make sure to look back at the speed bump afterwards, bc it'll turn either red or blue (depending on which color you were assigned at the beginning of the game, of course). If it didn't change color, better go back & hit that shit again - every point counts...don't be cocky.
I try to slow down when i see an un even road and it still tends to hit at times. It scares me because although im going 15 or less when i slwo down it sounds loud.

Man this took me back... I had a sudden flashback to the day I first got to drive my Nissan Hard body after I went from low to body dropped and bagged. We're talking 1997 or so when airbags weren't anywhere near as reliable as they are today, and that's saying a lot. Within the first 9 miles I was driving the airline for the bed came loose right before I was about to go over railroad tracks. Of course I got stuck on the tracks, teeter tottering, inching my way off the tracks and the stupid lights and bell came on. The arms started coming down and I went in panic mode. The dude behind me in a big ass Ford took the initiative and pushed me off with his truck. Totally smashed my tailgate but I didn't care. Thinking back I was 17 and an idiot and it really wasn't as bad as my dumb ass 17 year old self thought, but at the time I damn near shit myself. And now I miss 90s mini trucks.
God bless that fellow Tailgate damage sucks but he saved you from a total write off and potential danger. When I was 17, I tried drifting my first car on a dirt road. It ended about as well as you'd expect, front end in a ditch and rear wheels in the air. No major damage as it was a steel bodied coupe from the 80s, but still. I hadn't seen anyone drive through this country area once the whole hour I was out there, but 5 mins after my... *ahem*.. incident, a dude in a sports ute (pickup) turns up, throws a rope around my towbar and pulls me free. We shook hands and off he went, saved me an embarrassing call for help

Good Tips! I’ll tell you guys … I was driving a more or less slammed 2000 civic coupe for years not super slammed but lowered to about 5 inches off the ground.. half inch lower and it would have not been practical. Anyways NEVER DO THE AUTOMATIC CAR WASHES! I did it once and the dammed bar was scraping the entire length of the wash under my break pedal. Also like he said, WATCH OUT FOR PUDDLES! Pulling into a driveway at an angle with your wheels straight is a terrible idea, unless you're not that low. Pull up perpendicular (curb parallel to your side skirt). Stop your front bumper even with the driveway. Turn your wheel to full lock and put one front wheel up the curb. 1. Your wheels at full lock will sit on the shoulders of the tires and lift your front end (that's why drift cars run so much front camber, so they sit flat at full lock) 2. Once that first wheel is up, your whole car is lifted with the exception of the wheel on the opposite corner. 3. In a perfect world, if you have the $$$ for 3 piece wheels, you should have enough to buy a 2x10 board and build some ramps.
Worth looking at but not worth daily driving. It’s not just the roads in the US. The reality is most roads in most countries are far from slammed-car-smooth-rolling worthy.

If you're going to roll slammed static, you might as well send it so you have an excuse to change up your style every season. At least until you realize the economic superiority of air ride.
I drive a slammed static Jetta daily to commute. Yesterday I had an interview for a new job that went really well & was offered the job. The only problem is I had to leave my car on the side of a highway because the business is at the end of a 1/4 mile long dirt road filled with massive potholes everywhere. I actually attempted driving the car back there & immediately had to turn around when I realized just how deep those potholes are. Now I can't take this new job because lowered cars are life but my current boss is an asshole & well what should I do? I am installing a street shield skid plate today to cover the bottom of the engine, oil pan, trans, & subframe but still would not make it down that road without destroying the bottom of my car and fenders. FML first world problems
The only time I damage my front lip and crack oil pan when stock car, truck and suv go over big rock on the road and you cant see it until it's too late to avoid it and you cant turn left or right because there other cars beside you staring at your cool car and have no choice but to go over the damn big rocks... true story, other then that I pretty much a expert going down my driveway,go over speed bumps and void pot holes😁👍🏽
I've watched alot of your videos and this is probably one of the best car Chanel's I've ever watched! Keep it up. Love the videos. You can count on the views from me!
I live in Chicago. And in my neighborhood is a BIG, almost a foot long speed bump. Me when I first slammed my MK1 GTi went over it, cracked the oil pan, and oil spewed everywhere. I started a petition to decrease the size of those speed bumps. Now I got a slammed, static and imported 1975 Audi 50. Even lower than my MK1 that I had. it's on KW Suspension coilovers and Rotiforms. Both the MK1 that I had and the Audi 50 have rubber front lips. And their mounted pretty good. So they just flex when I leave a driveway. And after the whole thing with the MK1, both cars have/had (don't have the MK1) skid plates under them. #riptomymk1
Hit one of those by accident in my stock height Chrysler 200 at 25mph and the front scrapped on the far side so bad that I took it to the dealer for an early oil change (costs me $14 since I bought it new there!) So they could check for damage while it was on the lift!

When I get my car done and bagged it won’t have any aero. It’s a 2005 Cadillac deville limited. The wheels I plan on them tucking all way up in the fender wells when it’s in show mode. The wheels are also going to be painted to match the car. She’s pearl white with chroma flare. My rims are 17x7.5 or 7 even I don’t remember I have 215/50/17 on now. No tire stretch for me either. My other car has “bbs” rs style wheels front are 18/8 with 235/50/18 rears are 18x9 with 255/45/18. The rims are silver on the design of the rim with the outer polished. The car they are on is silver with a dark gray clothe top. It’s a 2005 caddy sts. I’m gonna put 225/50/18 on the fronts so they match the fitment of the rear. The front have to much sidewall now and the rear are just big enough to fit the 9 inch wide rim.
I'm lucky a new automatic car wash that opened up by my house doesn't have the wheel tunnels instead you drive onto a conveyor belt so its slammed car friendly 👍👍

If you're going to roll slammed static, you might as well send it so you have an excuse to change up your style every season.
At least until you realize the economic superiority of air ride.
The day Alex became a preacher.
“And fitment industry told me it was cool” best line ever. Lol
So true!!! Hahaha , you forgot don’t drive on roads you don’t have memorized at night ... it’s also the devil 👿
Ammo NYC is a great channel for learning car cleaning maintenance. All hand detailing, to help you stay away from those automatic car washes.
Some heavy first world probs 😂
Those wheels look AMAZING
The only time I damage my front lip and crack oil pan when stock car, truck and suv go over big rock on the road and you cant see it until it's too late to avoid it and you cant turn left or right because there other cars beside you staring at your cool car and have no choice but to go over the damn big rocks... true story, other then that I pretty much a expert going down my driveway,go over speed bumps and void pot holes😁👍🏽
It happened to me idk why there was a brick in the middle of the fucking road
d2k em2 lucky.. I got a cinder block
I hit a fucking full trash bag in that same situation and the plastic bag melted against my exhaust

The seamless transition into the Canadian accent was great 😂
😂 my '91 civic was "slammed" from the factory! Always scraping speed bumps, always hear the struts and shocks bottoming when I hit a pothole...
CRUNCH! 💀😅😂
Sameee
I've watched alot of your videos and this is probably one of the best car Chanel's I've ever watched! Keep it up. Love the videos. You can count on the views from me!
We are glad to hear that you enjoy our content!! 🙌
I'm a big fan lol
Never been this early for anything.
2:38 hey that right near my work!
My girlfriend got her smart car stuck in an automatic car wash lol. She had to call a tow truck. Now she’s afraid to go in any car wash smh. 🚗
Even the ones that don't have the track? Nothing to get stuck on in low rider friendly car washes.
Lmfao
Went straight for the petition! I see you 😂
At the end of the day it’s then end of the day.
This video made me miss the static life. But bags are life
LOL this was comedy , ty for your 2cents
Full send , that’s it bro
I never expected a "that's what she said" joke from this video.
in my country you have low car or not you will get damage because we have alot of Speed bumper like literally alot

Tip #1 do bags you won’t have this issue
ey guys a pussy over here ;)
bags are for groceries
Preach it Euro Racer. Air up and get over that garbage. Air down after and keep it moving. Don't listen to these guys talking about being a pussy. It's called doing shit the smart way and protecting your ride and investment. Not to mention making life easier for you.
@Shannon Day Or just adjust ride height
@@jakeoboy67 yeah bags are for groceries lol. You can actually have a grocery getter vehicle that's slammed if you have bags
Those wheels on the E30 looks good .
keep stock wheels on your car...
I can confirm, I've gone through 6 front splitters in 1 year yessir yessir🤙
These ear-rape bass boost memes are nice
That’s not bass boost, that’s distortion.
Do a video on tip for building an old/uncommon car.
Alex is the best. Lmao “rip mgk”
I got stuck entering a delta sonic car wash in my slammed ride... ny state trooper was one car behind me also. Super cringe when they needed to pull out the wooden boards and proceeded to lift from the wheel well so I could back out 🤦🏻♂️ 🔰
lmao that clip with the camry was from my school
Always keep a set of ramps in the truck lmao
I'm lucky a new automatic car wash that opened up by my house doesn't have the wheel tunnels instead you drive onto a conveyor belt so its slammed car friendly 👍👍
Wellp... I guess im never gonna be slammed. My streets angle is so aggressive that one of my cars is practically stock height. Well lowered in the front and i scratch the front (StOCK) bumper. Well atleast wheels arent a problem...
Wait they are :D
E30 with a little rust? Gees... i sent my jack through my frame because northeast E30s suck. But great video man
