7:45 that was my friend. Bought a 1993 Z3. Didn't want to do anything else but slam it on the ground. Bought cheap coils, slammed it, blew tires every week. Complained the car wasn't reliable.
Been there. I had a slammed cambered out fwd economy car with like 160bhp. Had no issues because scraping sometimes. When I picked up my 350z I did the same thing, deleted traction control, and spent around $5K on performance mods redoing basically half the engine bay + tune. It's close to 280bhp, rwd, and stiff as hell, and now I'm going through a set of michelin sports every couple weeks cause I like to send it lol. I was surprised at first, but I'm gonna have to go back and redo most of my suspension setup because I can't keep up with the tire cost. Lesson learned

#1 Rookie mistake, buying a car before learning about it. The number of people I have met who regretted not knowing that they should have bought a different year than the year they bought or they should have bought another spec rather than the spec they chose is staggering. Like people who buy N55 BMW 335i cars rather than N54 models. Or someone who buys a 2010 Mustang GT when you need to wait for the 5.0L Coyote in 2011, etc. Not knowing what you are buying or what spec you should be chasing is probably the biggest rookie mistake I encounter. #2 Rookie mistake is trusting the information you read on an aftermarket parts advertisement. Don't read an advertisement that says "installing this part will net you 20 wheel HP" and actually believe it. Often, those "performance gains" are achieved when a car has a bunch of other mods already installed that have made that part the bottle neck. Best bet is to actually research the mod and verify that, yes, in fact it does do what the manufacturer claims. Or at least temper your expectations of what it can do. Otherwise, Alex's list nails it.
artsohc ALOT of people who buy the N55 know exactly what they’re getting. The more reliable engine compared to the N54 and a lot of those guys don’t care about making 500+hp at the wheels.
Personally the 4.6 can be faster and it definitely has better reliability than most 5.0s. The 5.0 obviously has low end torque but the 4.6 consistently pulls top end and in my opinion it definitely sounds better haha
Honestly this video is on point. I’ve been doing RUclips for 4 years, modifying cars for 10 years and been involved in the car scene for 12 and there seems to be a separation between quality build and parts over Hypetrain/IG/Clout LEGO built cars. The younger crowd has bad influence and it could be the end of the car scene.
Lam Le Yo, you are right! These young bucks are just excited to do anything to their car. I think that’s why Alex leads these videos. The younger generation sees Alex and they feel they can relate. The older generation ( myself ) doesn’t judge a book by it’s cover. We listen more....”Oh okay, Alex knows his shit”. The car scene is California is going to shit. We all know why. Is this the end of the car scene? Yes and No. Yes, it’s going to come to an end and the manufacturers will be the ones to slam the nails in the coffin. They’ll try to make it super difficult to mod your car. My answer is also NO. No, it won’t die. Our human spirit won’t allow it. I’m JDM till I die. I think it’s going to cost so much more to mod in the future. My “secret” project cost me 45K to buy the car, wheels and tires 4.5K, bigger air intake, bigger intercooler, oil cooler, piping, blow off valves and a bunch of other shit you’ve never heard of.....can easily add another 10 to 15 thousand dollars. So yeah, in 10 years the younger generation will be stock, because they won’t be able to afford anything beyond that.
There are so so many people who make builds for clout and it isnt just the young ones. Also some people just naturally get "famous" off of having a nice build. Doesnt mean they do it for clout
Lam Le incorrect, I have found a club here in California and I myself am young and we don’t build our cars for anyone but ourselves and of course to race them. The car scene isn’t dying it’s just expanding
Mr. 5.7 R/T that’s true. Everywhere there are different age groups with different builds. All depends what you’re exposed to. I’m from Florida and 95% of the cars here are ratchet.
My rookie mistake was actually my first mod. The first mod I ever did was an engine swap and bigger turbos, didn’t go so well. Cost me a pretty penny, and I don’t have that many pennies.
Really appreciate Fitment Industries catering to people like me who really don’t know much of anything instead of taking the “you should just know” gatekeeper approach
I remember all my friends convincing me to swap a SR into my 240... I was happy with the 2.4, but I ended up going through a red top and a black top and finally have up on 240s all together, because I hated working on them in the end... seriously, just build your own car and appreciate other people's builds
Unbalanced mods lol...I’m good at that. I was so focused on HP mods that I ignored getting better tires, new suspension, upgraded brakes, upgraded clutch, etc...now I’m in the process of catching up the other parts. 😅 That’s a good point that shouldn’t be taken lightly.
In order 1. Coil overs 2. new rims and tires 3. Exaust system 4. Supercharger 5. Better brake system 6. Body kit 7. Fenders 8. Removing seats (weight reduction) 9. Stereo, sub, and speakers upgrade
Truth. I haven’t really been building my car yet. I’m waiting for school to end so I can make real money that I can spend. I always say if you can’t afford it once, don’t pay for it twice.
I bought cheaper quality stuff a couple times but when I got my hands on quality stuff I fell in love lol There’s deals out there all you have to do is wait and it’ll pop up. 😏
Never understood the saying "you are never done with your build". Yeah, you will never be done working on it with stuff like maintenance but plenty of people have a "finished" build. I personally don't but I do know what I want my car to be for now. It Will get "finished" and then maybe down the road, rims might change or this or that but I personally dont consider changing something like that a continuation of a build. But thats just me. I know far more people are never done lol
I have 1995 Toyota Corolla and I bought eBay coilovers. I ended up finding out that it’s really your only choice when it comes to that platform. Yeah they run a little stiff but honestly for the price I paid($202), quality, and better handling that I got out of it i actually love it. It’s decent enough to daily. I have eBay coilovers, Whiteline 14mm sway bar that I got for a steal! ($87), K&N intake which I had to fab and only paid ($65), OEM 2007 Yaris wheels from the junkyard which cut rotational weight from the stock Steelies(which I sold for $80), wrapped with Performance All Season Kumho Solus TA11, eBay 4-2-1 headers which needed small fab work ($85), and magnaflow hi flow cat ($65) and magnaflow muffler ($55.) this car was built on a mad cheap budget and I kept reliability, handling, and efficiency in mind. Not every build had to be a money pit with your modifications. This was just a daily which I wanted OE+.
Cutting my coils instead off buying lowering suspension then driving is a super bouncy car for 3 months while I saved up for the suspension I wanted. I cut the springs to much and ripped my exhuast off at one point.
2001 Audi TT Quattro 6 speed 1. Borla Exhaust 2. 42 draft Ram air 3. Forge Silicon hoses 4. Forge Blow off Valve 5. Re routed some lines for cooler air 6. Inter cooler elbow replaced with less friction 7. Lowering springs 8. Neuspeed pulleys 9. Down pipes needed (need) 10. Rims and tires (doing this soon)
I have a 2016 Acura ILX aspec I’ve been going crazy on what to do to it , managed to hold myself with just painting trim & cosmetic touches. THANK YOU for grounding me I’m gonna go do more research before really doing mods ✊🏽
Love how u said build for yourself I tried to do the stance thing but hated it I live in nyc and man it suck from speed bumps to shyt streets to tire debeading
So far my build plan consists of breaks, suspension, and transmission (bought the car with those things needed so i can talk myself iinto it) after general safety I’m looking at small performance parts, after that its all aesthetics.
GREAT video guys. I say these things to the younger guys in the scene here in QLD and you hit the right points home in a way that they'll get Have already shared this video to all the lads I know who are just starting out. Top Shelf Material.
What I like to do is buy decent price parts, install and eventually replace them with a more expensive part when I have the money.. I either reuse the parts or sell them to help out
My first project was a mistake. I got a rust bucket 1964 Ford Falcon with a 200 inline 6. Although the frame was rust free and most to the rust was on the surface, I had no idea what I was getting myself into at the time. It was just too much to handle for my first car. I learned alot about building cars though which I appreciate. I wish I knew what I know now so I could have maybe actually got it running and driving.
I do have to say, you as a person portray a more intelligent car enthusiast than your group. Being from Wisco I came and went from the group but my bias on you just based on the group has definitely changed. Earned a sub bud, great video.
only problem with that is by the time you get to the engine, its times to replace all the other mods you did before, given all the shit some of the big name companies are producing these days. really have to do your research before buying anything these days as the names we use to trust are the biggest piles of donkey... well you get the idea.
I once forgot my wheel spacers when going to stoopicold, drove there on my winter set (stockies) when I went to put the summers on for the show, realized I forgot the spacers, and used washers. 10/10 biggest mistake ever
Quality over quantity Is the best lesson here . For me the biggest mistake was not going air suspension from the start. I went with bc coilovers extreme low 22kg and 18kg had them for 4 years now. I've replaced the same shit over and over . Lips, bumpers, oil pans, inner barrels and bull shit lol .but best mod u can do first is suspension just depends the direction ur going with the build because ultimately not everything has to be bagged . And definitely research what ur getting into for what ur trying to achieve on ur car
This is my favorite from you Alex! Definitely a must watch for everyone!! My biggest mistake was boosting a single cam Honda Civic del Choad with 212k miles and putting an aggressive BASEMAP (not even a tune yet) and then racing the fuck out of it. Long story short, I was NOT surprised when I blew it up 😂
I'm starting my first build on a lexus is300 right now. I daily it, so I'm not making a racecar per say, I'm making a dailiable sporty thing that I can take to track day and car meets sometimes. 👍
I haven't got myself a car yet, but I'm pretty close I plan to do something really unique, I guess I'll give my plans out here. Maybe you can reply if there's something that can be improved, or just a new idea. Starter Car: Mercedes 190E, preferably a 1.8L or 2.0L model. 1. Short shifter 2. Coil-overs (nothing excessive, just a stiffer ride, and a lower height) 3. Bucket seats 4. Cold air intake 5. Retro 5-spoke rims and newer, sportier tires. 6.A small wing, like the one on the 2.3-16V or the 2.5-16v EVO 1. 7. A metallic paintjob. 8. Bigger and better brakes. 9. LSD 10. Some small engine mods, not looking for mega horsepower, not a fan of turbos either. 11. A new exhaust system. Don't know what else for now, to be honest.
Thank God you mentioned the Driver Mod. Watched a guy who had recently got a huge inheritance buy a Viper at the dealership that I used to work at...He pulled out of the dealership and threw it into the side of the highway literally a few minutes after signing the deal.
My wheels rubbed my wheelwells when i swapped to the winterwheels. I remember thinking that i had to fix that the next day, then something came up, then i had to graduate while still driving 120km a day.. result: Tires are still in one piece, the lining of my wheelwells isn't.
I think I messed up with these really thick engine mounts. But eventually I'll build another engine on the side to swap in. Non Vtec to Vtec. Other than that I pretty much build it for myself. I'm on a good path then :D I'm glad.
I have a hammer similar to that from harbor freight that I strictly use it for my punch at work. Fits perfectly in my drill bag with drill bits, punch and tap magic 👍🏼
I wanna get a 2005 ls430 as a daily and lower it and put some wheels but that's super common in the VIP world for that car and I wanted to do a dark color but black is super common but was thinking dark purple. What should I do to it so it's more unique and not to crazy?
Look up a color called java purple. It’s a Harley Davidson purple. It looks very dark in some light but other times it’s really purple. I almost bought a f350 duality painted this color and have never liked purple.
was so close to buying one as a daily as well since i loved dailying my ls400 but is going into full drift car status with a welded diff but ended up getting a 335d. I would just say stay away from the basic wheels and its fine if you car looks similar to other cars from first glance. I think its all in the details and quality that shows off builds and as long as its what you want, then thats fine. Also simply things like getting custom retrofitted headlights or maybe even get the badges and small accents coated in something unique like rose gold. There isnt as much aftermarket options for the ucf30 as the ucf10/20 sadly but you can almost change small things to make it yours
So right now I have a BMW 330ci and I have done all preventative maintenance. The only thing is that it’s automatic and I know people frown upon that. I know what I want to do to my car and have to money to modify some stuff right now. -just got to the part where Alex said to build your car for yourself. So I guess that answers my questions. Still any opinions or suggestions?
Adamdickieson Yes, it’s an e46 2002 BMW 330ci. I spent a lot of money already fixing it up. Was thinking about getting something new that’s manual. I’m also in college so I don’t got the funds like that to restart on a new car. So I was thinking later on when I’m done, I can do a manual swap or even an engine swap. I really do enjoy my car and know the car very well after all the fixing
I have an Auto Civic that looks like an Si... don’t be ashamed. I know an Auto Bagged Civic in car shows. Build it how you like and people will be looking at yah. Stay humble and keep pushing the passion
I've an E46 330d touring 2002. I've upgraded the suspension with AP Suspension which lowered the car 40mm front and 20mm rear and replaced the stock wheels with Fox Motorsport MS007 in carbon grey (17x8j) wearing 225 45 17. Poly bushed when old bushes have needed replacing and the always followed the servicing schedule. This is my family car and is used daily. The has covered 248,880 miles and is still going strong! 👍
Greasy Style just trying to make it look nice right now. I can’t afford into drifting. I want a new paint job (some body work needs to be done), new rims, reupholster the interior, and suspension to lower it.
Build it how you want it people! Even if people call you a "ricer"! When I search for "ricer" I see some stuff I hate but I also see some stuff I really like!
I like how he jokes about having an expensive car is not a mistake because half the people that get them can’t afford them - just because you can make the payment doesn’t mean you can afford it because making 30k a year is nothing and after take home pay it’s about 20k if you don’t have another job
The biggest issue I see is people who make 1k a month and think they can afford a car because the month payments are $650 a month. People are dumb. The way I keep money is buy taking half of my monthly income and limiting that amount on bills. So I make 2k a month, max I’ll spend on bills is 1k a month. Granted I only spend about $400 a month lol
You know, I get where the rookie gear head might go to Ebay to get super cheap, super sketchy parts, I was there in my early 20's. Honestly, it's a good thing that there are channels like this that can advise the rookies in what the best thing to do is. Myself, I plan to bring a lot more power out of my truck's 7.3L IDI diesel. Not for making my truck faster, but for better towing, and pulling. Conversely, I'm not going to start with my engine, I'm starting with my transmission. In my case, I'm looking to replace my aging E4OD with a heavily upgraded unit from Monster Transmissions. Some might say to start with my suspension and tires, but the thing is, my suspension is built from the factory, perfect for pulling, and my tires are 10 ply, heavy load rated tires. So in turn, that side of the truck is perfect. Not saying I won't upgrade my brakes though, but I do have a little leeway there, as the trailers I will be pulling, will have brakes as well. Also, I'm used to inspecting my equipment, being a proffesional driver.
mistakes are everything. learning from mistakes is how you learn the car world and how to tune:) for me and my integra gsr and my brother and his nissan 240sx...
You should always build a car for you and learn about your car the type of car what engine it has the ins and out also fix all the problems with it before you start building
My biggest mistake was adding performance mods to the car i.e cams, intake, exhaust, more on a tune than really needed lol, and then my suspension with coils and camber kits to keep a slight tuck and in the end having no money to get aftermarket rims so I ride the stock 17” long beaches on my car with a decent set of toyo tires
There is one mod that I really want to do at my car in 1 or 2 years when I will have a nice engine bay it's a transparent hood, I only have seen one car like this and even on youtube you don't see that much of these (it's pretty "unique" and it's look really nice)
Hey man, thought of doing this as well. Either making the whole hood outta lexan, or cutting a hole in the hood around the engine cover and covering the hole with lexan. Might be cool
What I did to my scion tc 2006 144000 miles what I bought in order. Radio system done before all other parts. After market unit, new door speakers, amp and subs. 1 fixed the check engine light.os sensor 2 new tires and tie rods.plus wheel alignment 3 new catalytic converter 4 short ram air intake 5 spark plugs. 6 gt carbon fiber wing 7 strut bar 8 new slotted rotors, brakes and brake calipers.(brake oil flush and change) 9 ksports coilovers (dropped 1 1/2 in all around)rear sits higher by .5 10 new rims avid sl02 (Waiting to do the following) just time. 11 fab wide body kit 12 lip, side skirt attachment, diffuser. 13 inside and outside underglow lights. 14 vinyl wrap 15 flame decal Yea I was told not to upgrade a old car but I enjoy every moment of it and it's only getting nicer.i will say just make sure to do main maintenance first before and upgrades and do them step by step to make sure it works well and what slight changes are made between you and driving the car after each upgrade. And don't go cheap.just save until you get the next part on you list.
I've never been one to follow trends when building up a project car, I grew up in a hot rod shop but I have a love for imports and that has always translated into my builds. Currently I have a '05 Subaru Baja turbo 5 speed that set up for over 400 horsepower to be a daily driven rally truck
For the little excerpt about life and things to avoid in your 20’s, most of those are “somewhat” extreme, but they are what need to be done to be successful. Its what separates everyone from the 5%
been doing research on my na Miata build for about a year now and I don't even have the car yet, been looking for parts and pretty much have the whole build planned at this point, will get the car shortly after I graduate this year
Made several of these. Biggest one was my foxbody mustang. Took advantage of the forged rods and went all in on the engine. Fast as shit gobs of torque, but drove it that way for a week and it got like 8 miles per gallon. I live in socal so there is always traffic. I hated not being able to let it loose

I currently drive a 5.0 but I miss the 4.6, it was 10 years older than my brand new 5.0 and I already have more problems with it haha
Glad that you find our channel informative, helpful, as well as entertaining! 🙌❤️
Even if the car is stock, just a simple suspension/wheels/spacers [REASONABLE SPACERS..], it'll look pretty damn good. Simple and Great. :)
Someone has to do it! 🙏🏼
First thing I ever did to a car was change spark plugs out. Super fun and when it actually fired up after, I was pumped as hell.
Truth. I haven’t really been building my car yet. I’m waiting for school to end so I can make real money that I can spend. I always say if you can’t afford it once, don’t pay for it twice.
I think the saying is if you can't buy it twice don't buy it at all. Best of luck with building your car!
I bought cheaper quality stuff a couple times but when I got my hands on quality stuff I fell in love lol
There’s deals out there all you have to do is wait and it’ll pop up. 😏
Be a leader not a follower set your own trend
Amen
G up all day that’s why I bought a civic, even though I get clowned on, I love every bit of it, except for the fwd
At the end of the day it's about what makes you happy. That's why I dont pay people no mine
some people are not cut out to lead........
This was just a daily which I wanted OE+.
yo send me pics of this beast on ig bro! @anurvg
Damn sounds like quite the build you have so far! 👀 You should upload some pictures to our gallery sometime! 🙏🏼 bit.ly/2obqAZQ
Yo let’s see a pic
Angelo what's ur IG homie?
I NEED that matte black banner behind you!!
I gotcha my guy! bit.ly/2H5D8sm
Been working on my s13 hatch for 10 years 😭 it magically turned into a sil80.
2:46 Alex getting into life advice now too? Hell yeah.
Cutting my coils instead off buying lowering suspension then driving is a super bouncy car for 3 months while I saved up for the suspension I wanted. I cut the springs to much and ripped my exhuast off at one point.
2001 Audi TT Quattro 6 speed
1. Borla Exhaust
2. 42 draft Ram air
3. Forge Silicon hoses
4. Forge Blow off Valve
5. Re routed some lines for cooler air
6. Inter cooler elbow replaced with less friction
7. Lowering springs
8. Neuspeed pulleys
9. Down pipes needed (need)
10. Rims and tires (doing this soon)
Slam it, then correct suspension geometry.
Seeing that E36 drift through Seattle was my favorite part of the video.
camber over 10 degrees in either way should be illegal
Foreal, California over here worrying about exhaust notes when they should be targetting these excessive cambered niggas, It's hideous
@@mirainikki7681 So because you don't like how it looks mean it should be illegal.. makes sense
ITZ Caleb why does it affect you?
I normally dont like excessive camber but on a few cars it looks cool to me
@@joshuakleine7821 well it poses potential risk to others on the road, considering they have less grip...
I have a 2016 Acura ILX aspec I’ve been going crazy on what to do to it , managed to hold myself with just painting trim & cosmetic touches. THANK YOU for grounding me I’m gonna go do more research before really doing mods ✊🏽
Makes me happy that my skyline is my project car and im going moderate on it, sort of a semi stock look.
As a rookie myself I really needed this video thx Alex
I drive an automatic I just wanna put rims on it, tint windows, and drop coil overs in it and just clean but slow as f*ck lol gas savor 😂
do lowered springs instead of coilovers, same look, better ride. You dont need coil overs where you're going.
Manuals are better on gas
Jus sayin
@@ofthamist on what planet
@@huntermatthews5919 He is right tho. Manual can be cheaper on gas than an automatic depending on throttle control and shifting into high gears.
GREAT video guys. I say these things to the younger guys in the scene here in QLD and you hit the right points home in a way that they'll get
Have already shared this video to all the lads I know who are just starting out.
Top Shelf Material.
Thank you very much sir! We aim to help everyone in the car scene!
6:30 my head hurts...
That shit gay
Marwan Eldomiaty pussy.
Yeah as a previous owner of a 370Z Nismo that hurts my soul. I don’t know why someone would want to do that to their car, but to each their own.
I do have to say, you as a person portray a more intelligent car enthusiast than your group. Being from Wisco I came and went from the group but my bias on you just based on the group has definitely changed. Earned a sub bud, great video.
Glad to hear you enjoy the content, Welcome!
Biggest mistake: fitment like the 370z at 6:27
That shit gay
I love the build behind him, its really well done.
At the end of the day, my mods should be in the following order:
- Interior LEDs
- Tyres
- Brakes
- Wheels
- Suspension
- LSD
- Engine & transmission
vdochev lol
only problem with that is by the time you get to the engine, its times to replace all the other mods you did before, given all the shit some of the big name companies are producing these days. really have to do your research before buying anything these days as the names we use to trust are the biggest piles of donkey... well you get the idea.
@@MarkSegree It's a car. Sooner or later you will need to replace everything.
@@vdochev true. I just wish it was later than sooner o.o
I once forgot my wheel spacers when going to stoopicold, drove there on my winter set (stockies) when I went to put the summers on for the show, realized I forgot the spacers, and used washers. 10/10 biggest mistake ever
Quality over quantity
Is the best lesson here .
Bags need coil overs anyway
This is my favorite from you Alex! Definitely a must watch for everyone!!
My biggest mistake was boosting a single cam Honda Civic del Choad with 212k miles and putting an aggressive BASEMAP (not even a tune yet) and then racing the fuck out of it.
Long story short, I was NOT surprised when I blew it up 😂
I'm starting my first build on a lexus is300 right now. I daily it, so I'm not making a racecar per say, I'm making a dailiable sporty thing that I can take to track day and car meets sometimes. 👍
I definitely agree with everything you brought up. Very well put.
Oh and I understand the “driver mod” one. I start off with a 200HP SUV, Moved on to a 300HP R/T now I’m in a 400HP SRT next is 700HP
Preach man. Back your mods up, diversify your funds and drop coin on maintenance first!
Rookie mistake: Buying a sports car *just kidding best mistake ive ever made*
I haven't got myself a car yet, but I'm pretty close I plan to do something really unique, I guess I'll give my plans out here.
Maybe you can reply if there's something that can be improved, or just a new idea.
Starter Car: Mercedes 190E, preferably a 1.8L or 2.0L model.
1. Short shifter
2. Coil-overs (nothing excessive, just a stiffer ride, and a lower height)
3. Bucket seats
4. Cold air intake
5. Retro 5-spoke rims and newer, sportier tires.
6.A small wing, like the one on the 2.3-16V or the 2.5-16v EVO 1.
7. A metallic paintjob.
8. Bigger and better brakes.
9. LSD
10. Some small engine mods, not looking for mega horsepower, not a fan of turbos either.
11. A new exhaust system.
Don't know what else for now, to be honest.
4:30 mans LITERALLY described my plan for my car (my choice no one else’s) 😂
During that clip featuring LEP Automotive @6:35 with the black car. You could literally see the front of the body kit flexing in the wind
My mods: an unnecessarily large wing
a wing for my wing
a wing for that wing
a big sombrero to put on top of the car
...idk
And the sombraro is made of straws designed to funnel and direct air into the abundence to wings!..genius
I guess you could say your car is all hat, lol
Still better than the sticker guys
rocketboyJV honestly, you had me at sombrero for your car. I approve this comment.
I love how inclusive this video is with the EFs
I think I messed up with these really thick engine mounts. But eventually I'll build another engine on the side to swap in. Non Vtec to Vtec. Other than that I pretty much build it for myself. I'm on a good path then :D I'm glad.
I have a hammer similar to that from harbor freight that I strictly use it for my punch at work. Fits perfectly in my drill bag with drill bits, punch and tap magic 👍🏼
I for one, like automotive Linus.
Just as short as well
That mini coop is too clean 🔥🔥
At the end of the day I have a 91 GMC Sonoma all stock with just a tool box. I see a blank canvas to build my dream truck.
Nice e30 in the background 😄. I had no budget when i started my e30 n54 project.
I wanna get a 2005 ls430 as a daily and lower it and put some wheels but that's super common in the VIP world for that car and I wanted to do a dark color but black is super common but was thinking dark purple. What should I do to it so it's more unique and not to crazy?
Dark Purple is 🔥🔥 fr tho!!!
Look up a color called java purple. It’s a Harley Davidson purple. It looks very dark in some light but other times it’s really purple. I almost bought a f350 duality painted this color and have never liked purple.
maybe look into some lesser known lip kits? but also maybe what if you did something with your interior like some kinda custom fabric?
Just keep it classy, that’s a HIGH quality car. There should never be low quality parts on her.
was so close to buying one as a daily as well since i loved dailying my ls400 but is going into full drift car status with a welded diff but ended up getting a 335d.
This man is the linus tech tips of the car industry and I love it
So right now I have a BMW 330ci and I have done all preventative maintenance.
Well first off, I’d say what do want out of your car? Drifting? Stance? Canyon car?
What car arrow means ? I can’t find anything bout it
It’s car aero as in aerodynamics. It means a big wing or a front lip
Thanks man . 😊
I thought it was a troll comment at first. Not everyone knows everything though.
mistakes are everything. learning from mistakes is how you learn the car world and how to tune:) for me and my integra gsr and my brother and his nissan 240sx...
got arp headbolts in my whip
im still listening to video... i put mini cooper brake rotos, stainless steel brake lines, and type R calipers... plus hawk trackday pads :)
2:46 I made every one of those mistakes except buy a house lol
This man is spitting facts appreciate you and these videos man
You should always build a car for you and learn about your car the type of car what engine it has the ins and out also fix all the problems with it before you start building
Fi back at it again with amazing content as usual B)
🙏🏼❤️
Because at the end of the day
My biggest mistake was adding performance mods to the car i.e cams, intake, exhaust, more on a tune than really needed lol, and then my suspension with coils and camber kits to keep a slight tuck and in the end having no money to get aftermarket rims so I ride the stock 17” long beaches on my car with a decent set of toyo tires
ThatWhiteGuy but, because of the sun and the heat of the engine, I wonder if it will become yellow, so maybe I will put it only for car show 🤷♂️😂
What I did to my scion tc 2006 144000 miles what I bought in order.
Radio system done before all other parts.
After market unit, new door speakers, amp and subs.
1 fixed the check engine light.os sensor
2 new tires and tie rods.plus wheel alignment
3 new catalytic converter
4 short ram air intake
5 spark plugs.
6 gt carbon fiber wing
7 strut bar
8 new slotted rotors, brakes and brake calipers.(brake oil flush and change)
9 ksports coilovers (dropped 1 1/2 in all around)rear sits higher by .5
10 new rims avid sl02
(Waiting to do the following) just time.
11 fab wide body kit
12 lip,side skirt attachment, diffuser.
13 inside and outside underglow lights.
14 vinyl wrap
15 flame decal
Yea I was told not to upgrade a old car but I enjoy every moment of it and it's only getting nicer.i will say just make sure to do main maintenance first before and upgrades and do them step by step to make sure it works well and what slight changes are made between you and driving the car after each upgrade.
And don't go cheap.just save until you get the next part on you list.
🤦🏽♂️ I have at one point made every mistake I possibly could have. We live and learn ✌🏽
Facts. 🙏🏼😂
I've never been one to follow trends when building up a project car, I grew up in a hot rod shop but I have a love for imports and that has always translated into my builds. Currently I have a '05 Subaru Baja turbo 5 speed that set up for over 400 horsepower to be a daily driven rally truck
Biggest mistake...getting new wheels and for getting to tighten down the lug nuts 🙃
Oh boy...💀😅
For the little excerpt about life and things to avoid in your 20’s, most of those are “somewhat” extreme, but they are what need to be done to be successful. Its what separates everyone from the 5%
*ok, now this is very guacy*
That's good right...?👀😂
*o fucc yea*
been doing research on my na Miata build for about a year now and I don't even have the car yet, been looking for parts and pretty much have the whole build planned at this point, will get the car shortly after I graduate this year
Biggest mistake: body kit
Brian Young *hella camber
Let people enjoy things and tasteful body kits are welcomed in the community.
Those tiny hammers are awesome, they are a life saver when changing brake pads on multi piston callipers such as brembos
Idk why he feels he needs to bash automatic transmissions, all the fastest cars I know about run some sort of automatic...
great info in here! Build your car to make you happy no one else!
Biggest mistakes: Buying Lambo doors and Not painting my '99 Eclipse MNP
Made several of these. Biggest one was my foxbody mustang. Took advantage of the forged rods and went all in on the engine. Fast as shit gobs of torque, but drove it that way for a week and it got like 8 miles per gallon. I live in socal so there is always traffic. I hated not being able to let it loose
