It simply is a great car, no matter what people say! This has to be one of the best and most important BMWs of the latest years, starting into a whole new era. As emission regulations and restrictions get heavier and heavier, the best way, especially for BMW, is to on one hand put out the last pure traditional petrol models that are sporty and with manual transmissions etc. to celebrate it one last time, and on the other hand do the transformation as fast as possible, reinventing the brand for the future. I'm happy that BMW is transforming very fast at the moment, keep it up!

I think it looks pretty but I would prefer real switches and buttons to press. Voice control doesn't work and doing different hand gestures while driving is pretty stupid. A simple button is sometimes a better user experience than just being high tech for the sake of being high tech.
I am a long time BMW consumer, but I am not sure about this new model design... It's hard to understand what went wrong, it doesn't look like a BMW at all. So sad, because the actual BMW models are really beautiful. Maybe it's a model made to me a hit in the chinese market, who knows.

You have 2 main ways of charging an EV: AC (like at home; the inverter or “charger” is inside the vehicle) or DC (direct current, no inverter required, it goes directly to your battery). 11 hours would be 0-100% on AC. This is quite standard and on par with the charging speed of other EVs, including Teslas. In practice, the car will charge a couple of hours overnight. Just to top up what you used during the day. For long distance drives, you’d use DC Fast Charging stations. 0-80% in 40 minutes, apparently. That’s where it’s not competitive. Teslas typically do that in 20-25min.

So I have to wait 11 hrs to charge my vehicle fully or wait anywhere from 30 min to several hours to get enough charge for my commute...meanwhile I’m in and out of the gas station in 5 min
The idea behind it is that you're supposed to charge it at home overnight and you'll always have a full battery in the morning for your commute. If you don't have the ability to charge at home, most likely not worth buying.
I purchased the X5 45e G05 7 months ago and it’s the best X5. The exterior and interior is the best in its class. The iX in the other hand needs more work. Fix the exterior lines, clean the cockpit, improve the battery miles and BMW will have a home run.
This car is not that bad, BMW just constrained themselves to that iconic kidney grille for too long and now they are trying to run away from it, and its not looking great. its a harsh change and they could've done a better job.
