I actually remember hearing Doris herself saying during one of her Christmas messages on her website that she `didn`t have anyone to share Christmas with` she seemed to be referring to family and she was encouraging those that do to spend time with their families and loved ones. I remember thinking at that moment how sad she sounded and I thought about her grandson and how he was her only living relative but it was obvious there had been no communication between them for quite some time...... Something is wrong here. I just listened to a 25 minute interview of Robert Osborne interviewing Doris Day on her 90th birthday in 2014 and WOW was she sharp as a tack so I can only imagine how sharp her mind was 14 yrs ago in 2005. I'm only guessing but I think if Doris wanted to see her Grandson that NO Manager would be able to stop her. I'm absolutely sure she knew how to use the phone because that interview by Robert Osborne was by phone. Too bad this has to come out after her death where she cannot contribute to this story.
I had been hearing bits and pieces about her mental state since Terry`s death which I`m sure deeply saddened and probably took her quite some time to process his death her but I heard her quite a few times being interviewed by phone up until she was 92 and she sounded great and sharp as a tack...She was also leaving audio messages on her website on a regular basis until 2017 but after that it seemed she stopped and when Kaye Ballard passed away around that time, I noticed that Doris made no statement which she normally always did whenever someone she worked with passed away. So I`m thinking maybe that`s when she started going down mentally . Rich Little said he wanted to perform at her 97th birthday celebration and wanted her to be there but was told she probably would not know who he was. He said it was being said she was in great physical health but mentally not so great when she passed apparently........ However from 2017 and before, it seems she was in control of her mind and could have reached out to Ryan unless she was really convinced that Ryan did not want to see her .
At first but I thought it was for money but his Dad Terry Melcher was Rich too and I'm sure left him money. Maybe it was just a family squabble that was never resolved. Sad. Her only Grandchild.....
Something not right - your Grandmother invites you to dinner then some manager tells you that you cant see your Grandmother - that would clearly tell you something was wrong and your Grandmother might be in danger - would you just be "bewildered" or would you find a way of speaking to your Grandmother even if it meant digging a hole under barred wire fences - Grandson must either be a liar or a bit simple
Maybe the grandson did not maintain the relationship with Doris over the years and decided to come around when she got older and she interpreted that badly. Maybe thought he wanted to make sure he got an inheritance? It is surprising to see how many disinherit their children.

That publicists is dodgy as hell. I doubt trust him at all.
Doris handlers were greedy and trapped Doris. Many people worried about her. I pray karma who hurt Doris family.
Well you know what they say that theirs is two sides of a story 🤔🙏🏻🕯
Crazy fan I bet you!
did the manager what all Doris's money? That grandson looks like her
He should have brought a candelabra
LOLOL!!!!!
God bless rest in peace of the day family
It’s that song form the phone commercial
Yes it was from the Samsung Galaxy something don't know what version
Though the song may be used in a phone commercial, it is from her movie, “The Man Who Knew Too Much”.
I'm sorry but no one is going to stop me from seeing my blood relative ,which is my grandmother!!!!
I'm sorry she was my grandmother before she was rich and famous
who is this fan and who is this publicist.
His ass should have went there and got his ass removed.
removed off of everything that was going on with my grandmother.
you need to stand up for yourself when she was alive....
you can't speak now after she's dead .
what's going on with this story.
trying to make money somewhere on the story... sounds fishy to me.
Sorry...Day family NOT telling the truth.....shame they werent mor forgiving....feel sad for grandson
Who got what?
I knew it, another fake, prolly hated being called grandma.
Ms. Day is no longer with us, so now the grandson is remembering that he wasn't allowed to see her?? She's not here to defend herself. So to me, this is a non story. What does he want to happen now???
Do I smell a fight over her money ? Her stuff just sold and I expect most of the proceeds will go to her animal charities and the people who manage her estate. The grand child does not seem to be invited. If she left nothing in her will for him, he is out !
There`s a staggering amount of money at stake... Doris`s networth was $200 million .
She signed a power of attorney to the caretaker. He made all the decisions after that.
He looks so much like his father I hope he gets a large inheritance from Doris as there’s no other relatives
I believe the grandson but why not just use his key to go in and see her??
Samsung's commercial song
