Actually, his mother was only 13 when he was born. She was physically and verbally abusive to him, and his father was also verbally abusive, although thankfully not physically abusive. He is a great dad, because he wanted to show his children a different life than the one he had.

This is how my mom spoke to me and my sister. She figured we didn't know any words anyway, why not get us used to the "grown up" words right away? And personally, I loved the sound of words, and I always wanted to know what something that my mom said meant, and then I'd try to use it in a sentence myself right away, to see if I understood 😂. There's no real reason a kid can grasp "be nice" but not the word "defer." Which admittedly isn't the same concept, but that's all my mom was actually asking of me in the moment, deferment, not kindness. So I think it also helped me understand nuance, because there's so many different words, and even though many mean similar things, there's also different connotations to consider!
This is how you raise your children to encourage joy! This relationship will only grow stronger. The father is this boys hero, as your father always should be.

I had a nice conversation with my one and a half year-old niece about strawberries. She was babbling and said the word _strawberries_ . I told her that strawberries would be good right then. She looked at me and plainly said "I know!". She continued to babble and toss out the word strawberries whenever she felt like it, as I talked about how good they are when prepared in various ways. She'd clap her hands, giggle and say "I know!" I was being silly and asked if she thought strawberries would be good with chili. She gave me an odd look, pursed her lips as if she was thinking about it, and I said "Nah, that's a bad combination." She looked at me and said "I know!" 😄

But that's the thing, they're building such a strong relationship now, and some good communication, that those kinds of things are not gonna be a big issue. The baby might grow into a moody teenager who still listens to his dad, dialogues with him and they can meet eachother halfway whenever's possible. And by the way, being "against" your kid when needed doesn't break a bound like this. That I can say by experience, although I wasn't really a "moody" teenager myself haha

You saw that right??” 😂 This guy is a great father love to see it 😁 Edit: from a developmental aspect it’s really great to talk to your kids as much as possible because it helps them build the mechanics for linguistics! Babies who interact with parents who speak to them often are more likely to develop language skills more quickly and proficiently

He may not be a moody teenager.
But that's the thing, they're building such a strong relationship now, and some good communication, that those kinds of things are not gonna be a big issue. The baby might grow into a moody teenager who still listens to his dad, dialogues with him and they can meet eachother halfway whenever's possible. And by the way, being "against" your kid when needed doesn't break a bound like this. That I can say by experience, although I wasn't really a "moody" teenager myself haha

I love watching the bond between these two! They’re 100% father and son relationship is absolutely beautiful! They may not be able to totally understand each other but they know what the other is saying! They’re developing a life long bond that is amazing!
