This takes me back to this 1000+ page fanfiction combining the worlds of Super Mario and Final Fantasy VII. I've never been able to find it again, but it was so good. I remember them having to fight mass-produced Smithies and the main villain was being foreshadowed as being above Genova, but I remember very little. This was around 2004. Was so good.
