I grew up running a Ford 5000 row crop model. Really good tractor.
The old 5000 ford tractors was the best tractors they was just the right size to do anything u would want to do with one
4000s are better

we run a fleet of 6 Fords, 2 of those are 5000's great tractors
I’ve always loved Ford tractors, equipment, and trucks, never had the opportunity to run many ford tractors
Why didn’t you push in the button located on the stop lever on the fuel pump? Guaranteed it would have started first turn.
Far too few ford tractor owners seem to know about it. Makes a hell of a difference

Didn’t even think about it, didn’t realize fords had that button, my pawpaws David brown tractor also has that same button on the injection pump
@@JTsBuildsandFields yep DB and DB/Case have the same pumps as Ford.
Sweet old Ford. Love them 5000's. Just remember that the only reason Chevy and Dodge never built farm tractors like Ford did is because they knew farmers had more important things to do than to be fixing their tractors all the time. 😉
Yessir, ford farm equipment was by far great quality stuff, depressing they quit producing ag equipment
If che y built tractors they would have put Ford out of business Ford stands for fix or repair daily🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@rickybearden4575 no ag equipment was right up ford's alley. Tough slow ugly noisy and rough just like their vehicles. They should have stuck to tractors and stayed out of the road vehicle market..
@@kevinfloyd808,I've always said, "you know ford made a good tractor, because people that don't like ford cars and trucks still like ford tractors." My neighbor, chevy pickup guy all the way, farmed with nothing but ford tractors for 40 years. I like them all myself

Oil in the rear end could be so low, not enough to run the hyd pump .
I was thinking that too, but the owner said it had new oil in the rear end
Had the same problem with the hydraulics change the hydraulic filter I found that out after dealership charging $1800 changing everything out mechanics finally told me when they changed the filter it started working
That’s bull crap, those kind of people will just take your money and run
What was the tractor worth, as a bid price as is?
to me looks a but staged with the weeds and such around it... maybe im wrong ..but its under a shed/roof... not many weeds grow under a roof

Had trouble starting our 9000
I’d love to run a 9000, mainly because it’s a 6 cylinder turbo
Check valve under seat it might be stuck hit it with a hammer sometimes it works to make the lift go down
Alright might have to do that
Must be to hard to put down hood

Could be, not my tractor though so I’ll probably never know

ya ... what a joke... can turn the fuel off of a diesel and simply prime the pump again to make a video like this
Or pull out the stop control and push it in again
