I am excited, I got to this bike by reading about future shock and I was in market for a hybrid with full road focus. I had been in market for something like Crosstrail, then after many months I said no more front suspension.
The majority of my riding is aggressive style on the streets of Baltimore city where potholes and imperfections are everywhere. My only gripe is the price. Am I not better off getting the aluminum version for 600 and a Specialized Roll for the same price?
Just bought a Sirrus X from my local bike shop. Do you know if the bike can support a dropper post with internal cable routing?

Can 650b wheel with 47c tires fit?
This is all very well and good . But why are the small or even the xsmall models lumbered with 170mm cranks ? Surly it's not beyond the wit of the team at specialized to work out small or very small riders need shorter cranks to go with their XS frame ? 160mm or even 165mm please. On a £1600 bike is this to much to ask ? Apparently it is when I inquired!

This just sounds like a hybrid of the Sirius and the Crosstrail. So why make it?
How so, from what I can tell you are saying they achived that by widening the tires 8mm?
This is lighter, has a carbon frame, future shock instead of a suspension fork, and slightly better components although the drivetrain is maybe apples and oranges with the crosstrail options. Sirrus geometry is different too. I test rode both, though months apart, but the crosstrail felt more like a tank (I'm exaggerating though) while the Sirrus X was nimble, fast, and smooth.

Great bike but specialized is way overpriced period !
