Nightwish is difficult band to recommend to first listeners as their song catalaque and variety of the songs is so HUUUGE: from slow jazz tunes (Slow Love Slow) to folky irish ones (The Islander), Power metal (Planet Hell, Wishmaster) and really heavy tunes (Romanticide, Weak Fantasy). Not to mention more easy listenings (and the most popular ones) like Nemo, Amaranth and Elán OR the epic, 10+ minute long songs. The band really has to grow on you. And to know the lyrics is VERY important! Nightwish was founded already back in 1996 in Kitee, Finland. They basically are THE band you compare all the other symphonic metal bands to. They have recorded eight studio albums and five live albums/dvds. They have had three singers: Tarja Turunen (1997-2006), Anette Olzon (2007-2012) and ofc the current singer, dutch Floor Jansen (2012-) Tuomas Holopainen (the keyboardist, main songwriter) is huge fan of the movie soundtracks/music and them composers. He has composed even a soundtrack for the Don Rosa's cartoon book "The life and times of the Scrooge McDuck". Their second latest album, Imaginaerum, is basically one long movie soundtrack and they even made full lenght feature film with the same name based on the album songs. Actually, the movie is pretty good! More about the band: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightwish I would recommend: Epic, longer songs: - Poet and the pendulum, 7 days to the wolves (Live at Wembley 2015) - The greatest show on Earth/LIve in Tampere (24 minute long song with five different parts! from their latest album) - Song of myself Uplifting uptempo songs: - I want my tears back - Shudder before beautiful - Alpenglow - Storytime - Last ride of the day Heavier stuff: - Weak Fantasy - Romanticide (Live at Wacken 2013) - I wish I had an angel Operatic power metal stuff: - Planet Hell - Stargazers - Ever Dream Off the box: - Sleeping sun - While your lips are still red - The Islander - Slow love Slow - Kuolema tekee taiteilijan (in finnish) - Taikatalvi (in finnish) Easy listening: - Nemo - Amaranth - Elan
_- The greatest show on Earth/LIve in Tampere (24 minute long song with five different parts! from their latest album)_ I saw that at AMA Reacts.. This was unbelievable. This was a masterpiece...
Damn you Olli, your list is (almost) perfect (for my taste) and up to date. Perhaps only addendum that I would like to suggest to your recommendation list is: Heavier stuff - "Astral Romance (remake)"
The issue is simple. You thought to just listen to music. A song. Nightwish don't just make music. Not just songs. They tell you a story and take you i a journey. But as with all journey's you have to go along with it to see the beauty. If you just show up at the end you only get a little of all the emotion of a journey. It's not 4 minutes of the same music. It's a trip through emotions and times. Only if you go A long will you see the beautiful connection between the different parts. Just like winter. Spring summer and fall. Each is more beautiful and special because of the others. Forget the others and no single part has greater meaning.
I can't describe how much I can relate to that. You expressed everything that Nightwish is about. The Journey through wonderous worlds that take your heart to places you didn't even know existed.
Ghost love score is my favorite Nightwish song but is also very different from all the rest of their songs. My top 5 (other than this one), all present in the Wacken live, number 1 and number 4 are the less melodic I would say: 1- Dark Chest of wonders 2- Everdream 3- She is my sin 4- I wish I had an angel 5- Nemo
Ghost Love Score is my favorite Nightwish song. It´s so epic, atmospheric, heavy, light, harmonic... The lyrics, music and melody tells a story. I think scenes out of Lord of The Rings, Pirates of The Caribbean and movies like that when I hear this song. I imagine various sceneries and events oing on. WHAT. A. BEAUTI. FUL. SONG. Floor killed it! A few weak spots but damn I wish I was there.
I've been a HUUUGE Nightwish fan since I've been 16. I'm 27 now, still loving every single release they bring out. Ghost Love Score with Floor Jansen (Former After Forever and ReVamp singer) is AMAZING!!!
And then you actually go to that Nightwish show and two and a half years later, you interview Floor right on this channel. Such a cool path! Gotta admit I was kind of avoiding this channel in recommendations for some time but now I see that was a huge mistake, so time to relive your exploring of NW and get up to date! ;-)
I know it comes a bit late, but this must be one of your best reactions. After all that time, it has been fun to see how you have started to grow on to their (Nightwish) music. Not really my kinda music, but i have started as well to learn to appreciate their music during the time.
"Ghost Love Score" is definitely not the best introduction to Nighwish if you never had experience with symphonic metal before, even tho it's one of their best songs, and that's simply because it has to grow on you... If you want something short and heavy listen to "Yours is an Empty Hope", "Romanticide", "Last Ride of the Day" or "Storytime" :) (All 4 Songs can be found as Official Live Videos with their current singer Floor Jansen who joined the Band in 2013)
I'm a bit inclined to disagree, but I do see where you're coming from. I love my metal, but I really do appreciate people who can really take control and project their singing, despite the genre of music they're coming from. I hate mainstream but I can appreciate Adele's voice in her first debut album. Hope that makes sense. I'll personally check into those songs you suggested, but I stumbled upon this band as I got lost in the RUclips rabbit hole of watching rocker chicks blasting vocals. I'll admit, the first song I heard from Nightwish was Bye Bye Beautiful, and I enjoyed it. Than I heard this song, and I was absolutely taken back, but I absolutely love the blend of hard rock, metal, melodic, symphonic harmonizing this beautiful woman does with her voice.
@@override83 i disagree too. I've given their other songs a listen after this one, and I'm not feeling it. But this... I'd put it as easily one of my favorite live performances ever. I would buy a ticket to their show just to hear Floor sing Ghost Love Score lol.
Ghost love score = Clicks and subs. It's why they all do it. Personally it was my introduction to NW and this version rocks but if people just want 5 minutes of mindless growling they need to look elsewhere I guess.
I have a tattoo for this band and seen them live twice soon to be three times. When it comes to orchestration and epic masterpieces they are in a class all by themselves. Seeing them in person is an incredible experience. They have plenty of heavy songs. I cannot stress enough how amazing Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish’s keyboardist and founder) is. He is one of the most amazing musicians to ever grace the metal scene. I have to admit I did chuckle a little when you guys said “there’s some potential there” because this band is one of the top selling metal bands ever to come out of Europe. They may not be bone crunching heavy but symphonic metal is more about epic orchestration and choir and the over all feeling behind it
SlayerSChris L. This is a much much better choice..probably 10 other songs from this gig that I would have picked before 'ghost love score'..great reaction guys..I think you should go to the gig.
Yeah..Romanticide to from Wacken 2013, Last Ride of The Day Wacken 2013, Stargazers from live in Tampere, Storytime Wacken 2013, Weak Fantasy (Tampere) with Kai Hahto(Wintersun) on drums.
Hello guys! Today is 6 Feb 2020, just one day before the release of The new NW single Noise. I saw your recents reactions, and though of seeing youre NW journey, and is so funny to see you hard core fans sayng i am not sold yet, good voice, etc.... LOL you are awesome
The look on your son's face when the vocals started was priceless :). Yeah, NW is a symphonic metal band, so you're never gonna get the in your face melodic death metal thing going, though the band has a lot of heavier songs. This is my co-favorite band along with Wintersun. The keyboardist/leader of this band Tuomas is every bit the genius that Jari is...he's written some unbelievable stuff over the years, including this song, which is also a showcase for their current singer, the Amazon Warrior Queen Floor Jansen :). Floor is the 3rd singer--the original Tarja did classical opera vocals all the time, and NW at the time more or less started the whole symphonic metal genre. The 2nd singer, Anette, was a pop singer, and did a great job on the two studio albums she was one, but couldn't handle songs like this, so they had just started performing it again in 2012 when Floor came on board. For heavier stuff, you can try Ghost River or Romanticide from the Wacken show, or Weak Fantasy and Yours is an Empty Hope (where Floor growls a *little* bit in the chorus) from the Tampere show, or some of the other versions floating around. 7 Days to the Wolves from the Barona Areena show is good too. One nice thing about NW is that, between the official and fan shot vids, there are TONS of different versions of their live stuff on RUclips. Trivia...Floor is Hannes the drummer of Sabaton's baby mama, and the current drummer Kai is also in Wintersun :).
- Slaying the Dreamer - Planet Hell - Romanticide - Weak Fantasy - Wishmaster I think those are good songs to get into Nightwish. Ghost Love Score is a masterpiece... but you have to be in the "Nightwish-mood" to really take the best of it.
I promise you will not regret seeing them live. This tour you are contemplating going to will be my third time seeing them. Floor is such a dynamic powerhouse, she's a treat to see no matter what she sings, growls, or shrieks.
Oh I'm so happy for YOU that you decided to do a Nightwish song. You should definitely check some more. Probably more live stuff with their current lineup because they have done only one album and few official videos with the vocalist Floor Jansen. And another reason is obviously the drummer Kai Hahto who plays also in Wintersun. There is a whole DVD from this Wacken show and also newer recordings from Tampere Finland and Wembley London 2015. My recommendations to you: The Greatest Show on Earth, Weak Fantasy, The Poet and the Pendulum, Shudder Before the Beautiful, Ghost River, Romanticide, 7 Days to the Wolves.
I'll tell you everything you need to know to answer your questions and squash your doubts. Go see Nightwish, you won't be sorry. Also, whatever you do, don't get dragged into the debate over who the best Nightwish vocalist is. It's very simple, Tarja, the original singer is amazing and there's no one like her. Annette, is a good singer but doesn't 't hold a candle to Tarja or Floor. Floor, the current lead singer is proof that the planets can align and everything can be right in the world. She is the perfect Nightwish vocalist. As good as Tarja is, Floor does a better job of bridging the gap between the classical and metal style. React to Nemo to get a different feel for the vocal styles! I hope this helps but definitely go to the show!!!
This is a song you need to be "in" Nightwish in order to appreciate. I suspect you like some of the more heavy stuff so be sure to check : Dark Chest Of Wonders (Live End Of an Era) Romanticide (Official Live Video) The Kinslayer (Live End Of an Era) Ghost River (Studio Version) Planet Hell ( Live End Of An Era) Those should get you in the mood.
Dark Chest of Wonders is pretty good average song by Nightwish that gives pretty good image. Great live song and I recommend to take the same concert as Ghost Love Score from Wacken. =)
ImberNoctis Indeed it's a matter of taste. I said what I said due to the fact that the guys dig Trivium, Arc Enemy and staff like that instead of symphonic bands. I always liked Two Steps from Hell, E.S Posthumous etc symphonic acts, so Nightwish for me is a perfect match. I enjoy almost everything from them. Pharaoh sails to Orion is an amazing old school Nightwish song
Quiet amazing you guys this has been your 1st Nightwish video!! in my case I have never listened to Wintersun,, but I will soon! My check out video list for you: Romanticide( live at Wacken) The Poet and the Pendulum( live at Dallas,TX) Song or my Self( live at Wacken) Nemo (official video with Tarja or live at Wacken) Bless the Child( live at Wacken) Saludos!
Nemo, Ever Dream, Dark Chest Of Wonders, Last Ride Of The Day, The Islander - my top 5 Nightwish songs with a 99.9% of getting you hooked on Nightwish :))
"Hey, Hey, Hey, Heey!" (+some arm movement) = Proper crowd control 😈 "Ghost Love Score" is not the easiest, straight forward ongoing songs for stone hard Metal fans to listen. BUT... Perfect introduction for the band, as you saw, to feel the hunger for more. 😉 Cool reaction guys. Cheers from Finland 🇫🇮, the Mother Land of Nightwish 🤟😎
More Heavy songs is: Romanticide - ruclips.net/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/видео.html Dark Chest of Wonders - ruclips.net/video/OvOD6xecph4/видео.html or two song from the latest album: Shudder Before The Beautiful - ruclips.net/video/15H-TBrCyKw/видео.html Weak Fantasy - ruclips.net/video/9RdBwCwIYs0/видео.html or one epic song (from the latest album) The Greatest Show On Earth - ruclips.net/video/4YFf5CZSCYM/видео.html
top 5 nightwish songs 1: Greatest show on earth ->this song is 20+minutes long but it is a masterpiece with very complex lyrics and song structure detailing all of earth's history and how insignificant humanity is in the grand scheme of things, it's amazing. The live version is even better. 2: Storytime -> you might enjoy this one more, it's heavier 3: She's my sin -> I love this song mostly because of the wacken 2013 live performance. The singing by the new singer (that you saw in this video) is absolutely amazing in this one 4: Phantom of the opera -> again, the live performance with their first singer (Tarja Turunen) is absolutely awesome 5: Dark chest of wonders ->another heavy song which you might enjoy, the live version from wacken 2013 is the best for me
I can definitely recommend checking out more from Nightwish! They are one of the biggest metal bands that hails from Finland, and they have alot of different songs! Also their current singer is their 3rd. All three of them have done amazing songs, ofc the current one would be the one you see live... Also, most of their songs are stories of sorts, which have to be listened for a few times and they even have sometimes different types of parts written in, where the song almost seems like it changes completely. Or if it makes more sense: like a story; they have a beginning, middle point and the end. :P
That's true their older stuff is more power metal and the newer stuff is more symphonic metal. But the style doesn't matter they are a great metal band. You should check out some other songs like 'Dark Chest of Wonders' ruclips.net/video/OvOD6xecph4/видео.html or romanticide ruclips.net/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/видео.html both are originally from the same album but I think they'll suit you more
You HAVE to check out: The Poet and the Pendulum - Live at Wembley 2016 (an "epic" like Ghost Love Score, but more heavy) Ever Dream - Live at Wacken 2013 (a more simple, ballad song but beautiful) Shudder Before the Beautiful - Unoffical Lyric Video (Studio Version with awesome Visuals in the video)
I think it's just that maybe they were expecting something heavier. I listen to Wintersun and like it as much as they do, but I enjoy Nightwish equally as much too. It's just a tone down with heavy riffs and no growls, but amazing symphonic composions from Tuomas Holopainen with beautiful vocals. (Trying to explain it to these guys as well while replying to you :D)
I know, but it's not the usual style of Nightwish with, like the beautiful and majestic clean vocals with Marco revving his voice are. Floor actually growls rather nicely, even though I haven't got a hold of female growls so far.
Nightwish was one of the first bands that got me into metal music. I don't listen their songs very much anymore though, but here are couple songs I keep returning from time to time. - Sleeping Sun - Romanticide - Bare Grace Misery - Gethsemane - The Riddler
I think you guys completely took the wrong Nightwish song to start with. They do a whole bunch of different compositions (and they have had 3 different lead female singers + 1 male singer) but because you like wintersun I am gonna recommend the following. Listen to one each from each set and then you can do down the list if you like: First Singer - The legendary soprano Tarja (more symphonic and edgy compositions - classic Nighwish Sound) 1. Wishmaster: ruclips.net/video/R82paQbF0Yo/видео.html 2. Nemo (Don't listen to the official version it is slowed down in tempo): ruclips.net/video/AGWBmZnZdkw/видео.html 3. Phantom of the Opera: ruclips.net/video/8VgLKXD-BoY/видео.html 4. Bless the Child: ruclips.net/video/U52aAa9VkEk/видео.html 5. The Kinslayer: ruclips.net/video/YBkc2hxjoEI/видео.html Second Singer - Annette Olzon (She was a great singer but completely different style - more jazzy and smooth. However, Nightwish stepped up their music quality and compositions during her time) 1. Storytime: ruclips.net/video/5g8ykQLYnX0/видео.html 2. Amaranth: ruclips.net/video/GdZn7k5rZLQ/видео.html 3. Bye Bye Beautiful (Official version is slowed down): ruclips.net/video/bK4tNY3vITc/видео.html 4. Turn Loose the Mermaids: ruclips.net/video/DJS5g4-p3K4/видео.html 5. The Islander (Marko is singing in this one - and this is quite a beautiful ballad): ruclips.net/video/--tFFz44zvc/видео.html Current Singer - Floor Jansen (She is a pretty good singer who can belt soprano vocals (although not a good as Tarja) and does sing some early songs live. The only album she has sung in so far has been fantastic musically (it's based on Richard Dawkins' book Selfish Gene) and her voice suits it) 1. The Greatest Show on Earth (This will give you feels like Wintersun's Time - pay attention to the drummer (; ): ruclips.net/video/aTAaEHiGjvU/видео.html 2. My Walden: ruclips.net/video/J8Xwr1kTEdk/видео.html 3. Endless Forms Most Beautiful ruclips.net/video/vmuC1_WF2nQ/видео.html 4. Elan: ruclips.net/video/zPonioDYnoY/видео.html 5. Shudder Before The Beautiful: ruclips.net/video/XNy9rU7An00/видео.html I can confidently say that there are only two kinds of people in this world - one who like Nighwish, and others who haven't listened to Nightwish. (:
Well, since floor jansen is the actual NW singer, I think you should listen to songs performed by her: 1.- Romanticide, live in Wacken 2.- Shudder Before the Beautiful, live in Wembley 3.- Stargazers, live in Tampere 4.- Storytime, Live in Wacken 5.- Dark Chest of Wonders, live in Wacken Yeah, the wacken show as a whole is a great experience :) and Nightwish is definetly a the type of band that grows insede you! glad you guys gave it a try!
You can not expect to tell if you like nightwish after one song although this song got me hooked first time I heard nightwish you gotta listen to all their popular songs to say yay or nay
Fair comments guys, bear in mind this song was written when Floor was in the band. It was written for Tarja and as such Floor is essentially doing a cover everytime. And I think she does a perfect job, especially the way she throws her own spin on it and adds that huge scream at the end which is something tarja didn't do.
+Samuel Milliken I think the issue and we even say it in the video is we went in thinking we would be getting Jinjer and instead is way more melodic. I have hear the song now several times and it has grown on me. Much better after a couple of listens
1. The poet and the pendulum live @wembley 2. Master passion greed 3. Yours is an empty hope 4. Romanticide 5. The greatest show on earth live @wembley or @tampere
I'd recommend from the top of my head, Dark Chest Of Wonders, Storytime, Greatest Show On Earth, Wish I Had An Angel, Nemo and Endless Forms Most Beautiful
I think that two of their best live performances are in "Dark Chest of Wonders" (Live Wacken 2013) and "Ever Dream" (Wacken 2013). In Ever Dream you can also hear the bass player, Marco Hietala, singing - and he has some kickass vocals as well, I must add.
If you want a top 5 this one would be on top easily but otherwise my other picks are: 1. Romanticide from the same concert (Wacken Open Air 2013) 2. Yours is an Empty Hope (Live at Wembly arena) 3. Their cover of Phantom of the Opera (End of an Era concert - this is with their old singer) 4. Dark Chest of Wonders (Wacken Open Air 2013)
good fair reaction guys. i wasnt much a fan of NW but was a fan of their singer Floor Jansen from her previous band, After Forever which broke up. Once she became NW vocalist i made sure to go and see her. She has seriously one the most spectacular voices in all of metal. So ive seen them 2x w her and i highly recommend to check them out. she has great stage presence also. So i recc these songs to check out w her singing cuz you wouldnt dig as much their previous 2 singers 1.Yours is an empty hope 2, Shudder before the beautiful 3. Romanticide 4. Weak Fantasy 5. Phantom of the opera (yes they cover the classic song)
I'm following most of other people with my opinion. Ghost Love Score is not the best to introduce for people to hear the band for the first time. It's absolutely one of their best and beloved songs due to deepness and emotion gathered there. Nightwish is extremely versatile band that you can't expect anything that comes out. My recommendations: 1. Ever Dream (Live at Wacken 2013). My all time favorite songs. Kind of simple but that emotion charge is incredible and the song gives amazing climax at the end. I've never could kept tears when heard this live. 2. The Greatest Show on Earth (Live at Tampere) Gigantic monster with 24-minute runtime is very multi-layered evolution story featuring Richard Dawkins. Needs "a few" times listening. 3. The Poet and the Pendulum (Live at Wembley). Another monster song with 14 minutes. This is very dark atmosphered song in self-hate with powerful outcome. 4. Shudder Before the Beautiful (Live at Wembley) Pretty basic big sounding Nightwish song 5. Song of Myself (Live at Wacken). Another longer song with great story and nice power. 6. Greek Mary's Blood (End of an Era). Their original singer in her last concert. Beautiful story of indians life and sorrow. Kind of the same style as Ghost Love Score Heavy Nightwish stuff: 1. Weak Fantasy (Live at Tampere) 2. Yours Is an Empty Hope (Live at Tampere) 3. Romanticide (Live at Wacken) 4. Storytime (Live at Wacken) 5. Slaying the Dreamer (End of an Era) 6. Planet Hell (End of an Era) 7. Master Passion Greed 8. Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean 9. Pharaoh Sails to Orion More basic Nightwish stuff: 1. Dark Chest of Wonders (Live at Wacken) 2. Last Ride of the Day (Live at Wacken) 3. Alpenglow (Live at Tampere) 4. Stargazers (Live at Tampere) 5. Wishmaster (End of an Era) 6. She Is My Sin (Live at Wacken) 7. Stargazers (Live at Tampere) 8. Nemo (Official music video) 9. Bye Bye Beautiful 10. The Escapist Great covers by Nightwish: 1. Phantom of the Opera (End of an Era) 2. Over the Hills and Far Away (Official music video) 3. Light stuff: 1. I Wan't My Tears back (Live at Wacken) 2. Elan (Live at Tampere) 3. My Walden (Live at Tampere) Ballads 1. Sleeping Sun (Live at Tampere) 2. While Your Lips Are Still Red (Official Music Video) 3. Forever Yours 4. The Islander
I also forgot to mention that their bassist is absolutely the best male singer that Finland has. He was also very close to be picked to sing in Iron Maiden when Bruce left the first time. Amazing voice and character.
A great reaction to a great song! This performance is really at the top.of Just beautiful. I would like to make 2 special suggestions almost no one will give you: 2 bands: The Warning: start with "survive" at TedX, and then "21st century blood" official video. They have a new song called "dust to dust" which is incredible. Motion Device: "thick skin" and then "doves and snakes'. There's a reason almost no one knows them, but they still are amazing! You'll see it by yourself. React to them and I will explain you why so good musicians are so unknown... Thanks a lot and enjoy! P.S. I will post this comment on a lot of your reactions because you may not see it most of the time because there are plenty of comments.
You see, this song and especially this performance transmits a crescendo in passion. Imagine a young person, sweet and innocent in the ways of love. As time progresses that person gets more experienced, jagged and yet stronger. I believe this performance is meant to be a representation of personal growth, hence the slow progression in tempo and emotion. But hey, that's just my take on it. Cheers.
My top 5 nightwish songs are 1. Ever dream (it's kind of a ballade) 2. Romanticide (official live) 3. Slaying the dreamer 4. Yours is an empty hope ( in this she even does growls) 5. Stargazers (live at tampere)
Start with Tarja era: The Kinslayer Over the Hills and Far Away Sleeping Sun Then Annete: Amaranth Ghost River Then Floor Jansen: Weak Fantasy Yours is an Empty Hope Shudder Before the Beautiful
Probably my top 5 from Nightwish: - Shudder Before The Beautiful ruclips.net/video/15H-TBrCyKw/видео.html - Alpenglow ruclips.net/video/oNC_uZ2GeU4/видео.html - Last Ride Of The Day ruclips.net/video/E6EQgzPX7G4/видео.html - Storytime ruclips.net/video/pvkYwOJZONU/видео.html - The Greatest Show On Earth ruclips.net/video/aTAaEHiGjvU/видео.html
Also in terms of female vocals, I think Unleash the Archers would be much more up your alley. They're a melodeath band driven heavily on guitar riffs and the singer's epic vocals. I'd recommend Tonight we Ride, Cleanse the Bloodlines, Apex and I guess Test Your Metal for a slightly less heavy song :D either that or check out Battle Beast-Let it Roar
What's great about Nightwish is that they are not stuck in one style so just explore their catalogue and you'll find songs that you'll love. If you would like to check out more heavy songs then go for Yours Is An Empty Hope, Weak Fantasy, Planet Hell and Slaying The Dreamer (these were the first I could think of). Not all of them will have Floor on vocals but at least you'll hear the music. Oh, you should also check out Sahara (live version) but make sure that it's a clip where Floor is singing because she's amazing when she sings it.
this song is soooo cool. i saw them live in munich! this show blows your mind! floor is so amazing :-) please react also to nightwishs song: "the greatest show on earth" in live version.. this is EPIC!
Nightwish always brings me in to a own world...brings up feelings, lead me to dreaming...its very atmospheric music. Its like drawning with music instead of using pencils...two songs of nightwish you could listen to are: planet hell and creek marys blood :)
I agree with a lot of the comments: try listening to Planet Hell, Yours in an Empty Hope and Dark Chest of Wonder. That's a great selection if you're into more heavy stuff. This one is more of a ballad, in my opinion.
There are several Nightwish songs which I would recommend: "Come Cover Me", "Dark Chest of Wonders", "Wanderlust", "She's my Sin" and "The Riddler". Those are from the first of the nightwish albums but in my opinion they suite the band the best, especially if you want to know what exactly nightwish is like. Please check them out :)
Dark chest of wonders, song of myself, ghost river, she is my sin. All of those are on that same wacken live. The bass player sings also and he is also an excellent singer.
My Top 5 Nightwish Songs: The Islander Élan My Walden Nemo Over the Hills and far away Everyone has his own favourite songs of Nightwish... they had many lead singers and they are doing many different styles from melodic to folk and various very epic styles. Nightwish is a classic band and even if they are not everyones cup of tea they will have at least one song you like. I saw them life and they were amazing. I love Nightwish and I hope you guys will get into them in time.
You definetly have to go to their concert, they are one of the best livebands \o/ But before that you have to try out The Poet And The Pendulum, Shudder Before Beautiful, Weak Fantasy, Song Of Myself, Romanticide and Last Ride Of The Day...enjoy ☺ and so many more Creek Marys Blood aso 😁
React to Nightwish The greatest show on earth (Tampere) 2. Passion And The Opera or Phantom of the Opera (Tarja Turunen) 3. Sleeping sun (Tarja Turunen) 4. Ghost Love Score 5. Ghost River
My Nightwish pick: 1.Wish I had an angel 2.Storytime 3.Shudder Before the Beautiful 4.Yours is an empty hope 5.Last Ride of the day I think these songs are great introduction of NW variety, catchy melodies and they aren't too long.
Really loving your channel guys!! Nightwish is my favorite band of all time, but seeing your reaction on this song, I can see why you were not too impressed and didn't know what to think. I love watching music through a new set of eyes. Nightwish is amazing because they are so different from song to song, CD to CD. They aren't like most metal bands where almost every song sounds just like the rest. Tumos is always pushing himself to create new sounds...Creek Mary's Blood is Indian chanting metal! And so beautiful and great. Ghost Love Score is just an epic piece of romance metal. I would recommend Scaretale, Slaying the Dreamer, or Wishmaster as those are heavy and all SO original. If you want to check out something "different" - try Kontrust "Hey DJ" or Evil Scarecrow "Crabulon"...
You should definitely go check them live. Her voice is really something else live. My top five is Slaying the dreamer, Poet and the pendulum, Planet hell, Yours is an empty hope, 7 days to the wolves. Ps. Floor is married to Sabaton's drummer Hannes Van Dahl.
In no particular order ... 1. The Poet and the Pendulum 2. The Last Ride of the Day / Song of myself 3. The Pharaoh Sails to Orion (some terrific keyboard passage) 4. Wish I Had an Angel 5. Dark Chest Of Wonders / Wishmaster Special Mention : Phantom of the Opera (Live)
Well, I'm a huge Nightwish fan that thinks that Ghost Love Score is one of the best songs they ever wrote. This said, some of there other songs that I really dig are: Ever Dream, Planet Hell, Master Passion Greed, Slaying the Dreamer, Wishmaster. No matter what, if you have the chance to see them live, you should take it, as no matter which songs they'll sing, it'll be a great concert. Oy yeah and just to go for something totally different: I'd like to see you react to Satyricon - To Your Brethren in the Dark.
Ghost Love Score is amazing, but probably not the best Nightwish song to start with. My recommendations would be to hear the progression of Nightwish as they have had multiple lead vocalist changes. Start with: Singer, Tarja: 1. Dark Chest of Wonders 2. Wishmaster Singer, Anette : 3. Storytime 4. Ghost River Singer, Floor (The one you saw in this video) 5. Yours Is an Empty hope 6. Weak Fantasy These are all a bit more heavy or driving than some of their more atmospheric or ballad type song, but will give you a nice insight into what Nightwish is all about! I hope that you are convinced to see them live because they are one of the most incredible bands live to see!
My top-5 Nightwish songs are: 1. Nemo 2. Wish I had an Angel 3. Planet Hell 4. Ghost River 5. Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan The last song is in Finnish, and singed by their previous vocalist, but it is really beautiful and powerful song.
You need to react to Nightwish - Dark Chest Of Wonders (Live Wacken 2013) and Last Ride Of The Day from Wacken 2013 too!. Love your channel guys! cheers
React to Nightwish - Greatest show on earth live at Tampere That is their ultimate masterpiece and probably one of the most epic songs of all time. That particular live show was the very last they did on a long tour before their break, so there's a special feel to it. You won't be disappointed. The quality is excellent, since the video is from a live dvd they made of that live performance. edit: I just watched your reaction video all the way to the end and realized this was your first Nightwish song ever. Before you do Greatest show on Earth (and you definitely need to do it), you're probably better off trying some of the other songs mentioned in this video's comments. From the same show I suggest Dark chest of wonders or Romanticide, there's also the opening track of the new album Shudder Before the Beautiful live at Wembley. That's probably the easiest one to listen to. Their heaviest song has to be Master Passion Greed. That's a song you will never hear the band play live and there's no music video. It's a darker, heavier song than anything else in their discography and Tuomas wrote the song after the controversy with their original singer being kicked out. Once you're few songs in, you can take a step up and truly enjoy these epic masterpieces. :) Nightwish is truly a band like no other, and takes time to get used to. Tuomas Holopainen is one of the greatest musical minds of our time, a true genius.
Oh, and I almost forgot. Your friendly neighborhood Kai Hahto from Wintersun plays drums for Nightwish at the moment. He can be seen in many of their newer music and live videos.
I like the song, intro was good, the switch was great, when Floor Jansen ENTERED it became majestic, the dreamy part with the choir was amazing, the next parts were exciting, the last switch was incredible, that last part before the outro the song reached it's altitude with Floor Jansen at her best. I'm jealous of that crowd. The performance is already exciting behind my dumb screen but what the crowd must have felt ......
Just found your channel! Really like the idea behind this channel and you guys seem very likeable, too! I will definitely check out more videos, cheers from Germany! :)
You should listen to the more heavy tracks of Nightwish: 1. Romanticide (live at Wacken) 2. Slaying the Dreamer (live 2005 End of an Era) 3. Shudder before the beautiful (live at Wembley) 4. End of all hope (DVD - End of Innocence) 5. Kinslayer (live 2005 End of an Era)
They have had three singers: Tarja Turunen (1997-2006), Anette Olzon (2007-2012) and ofc the current singer, dutch Floor Jansen (2012-)
Tuomas Holopainen (the keyboardist, main songwriter) is huge fan of the movie soundtracks/music and them composers.
More about the band: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightwish
I would recommend:
Epic, longer songs:

Uplifting uptempo songs:
- I want my tears back
- Shudder before beautiful
- Alpenglow
- Storytime
- Last ride of the day
Heavier stuff:
- Weak Fantasy

- I wish I had an angel

- Planet Hell
- Stargazers
- Ever Dream

- Sleeping sun

Olli Järvinen your right with that ^^ \m/
_- The greatest show on Earth/LIve in Tampere (24 minute long song with five different parts! from their latest album)_
I saw that at AMA Reacts..
This was unbelievable. This was a masterpiece...
Perfect.
So true
The Journey through wonderous worlds that take your heart to places you didn't even know existed.
it's just like Avantasia... i love Both.
everyone needs to have a floorgasm with this perfomance... this woman is perfection
You really don´t need to miss Tarja, when you can listen to Floor Jansen!! LOVE HER!
That last note she sings is what we call a Floorgasm!!!!! Nightwish is considered Symphonic Power Metal.
Thanks to react of one of my suggestion, i'll give you heavier suggestion next time lol
Ghost love score is my favorite Nightwish song but is also very different from all the rest of their songs. My top 5 (other than this one), all present in the Wacken live, number 1 and number 4 are the less melodic I would say:
1- Dark Chest of wonders
2- Everdream
3- She is my sin
4- I wish I had an angel
5- Nemo
I guess its their first reaction to the Goddess known as Floor Jansen
And then you actually go to that Nightwish show and two and a half years later, you interview Floor right on this channel. Such a cool path! Gotta admit I was kind of avoiding this channel in recommendations for some time but now I see that was a huge mistake, so time to relive your exploring of NW and get up to date! ;-)
That is awesome.
First song I listened from Nightwish and I was in love with the instrumental when the chorus starts. It made me wanna head bang my desk so bad.
I disagree. This was the first track I heard and I was instantly blown away.
Ghost love score = Clicks and subs. It's why they all do it.
Personally it was my introduction to NW and this version rocks but if people just want 5 minutes of mindless growling they need to look elsewhere I guess.
I love that you did honest reacting to this one.
They may not be bone crunching heavy but symphonic metal is more about epic orchestration and choir and the over all feeling behind it
guys please React to Nightwish - Dark chest of wonder (Live Wacken 2013) !. you wanted something harder going in, this is the song.
SlayerSChris L. This is a much much better choice..probably 10 other songs from this gig that I would have picked before 'ghost love score'..great reaction guys..I think you should go to the gig.
Ya! This song and Romanticide plz
Yeah..Romanticide to from Wacken 2013, Last Ride of The Day Wacken 2013, Stargazers from live in Tampere, Storytime Wacken 2013, Weak Fantasy (Tampere) with Kai Hahto(Wintersun) on drums.
Adrian Bumbarov weak fantasy ......tune..
SlayerSChris L. Yes. Yes. Yes
Nostalgia confirmed!) thank you guys!) Nightwish was my favorite band some day back in 2012 when I started to listen European Metal)))
Hello guys! Today is 6 Feb 2020, just one day before the release of The new NW single Noise. I saw your recents reactions, and though of seeing youre NW journey, and is so funny to see you hard core fans sayng i am not sold yet, good voice, etc.... LOL you are awesome
Need the lyrics with Nightwish. Takes you on a journey.
Going to see Nightwish when they tour the US in March. Absolutely awesome live in concert. This will be my 2nd time seeing them.
- Slaying the Dreamer
- Planet Hell
- Romanticide
- Weak Fantasy
- Wishmaster
I think those are good songs to get into Nightwish. Ghost Love Score is a masterpiece... but you have to be in the "Nightwish-mood" to really take the best of it.
César Contreras Slaying the Dreamer is the song that forced me to pay attention to Nightwish. I hope Floor sings it on the upcoming Decades Tour
It’s one of my favorite songs with best singer on earth... 😎👍❤️
Nightwish is such an amazing band, my all time favorite band.
Nightwish - The Greatest Show on Earth (live Tampere)
Nightwish - Ghost River (Live at Wacken)
I suspect you like some of the more heavy stuff so be sure to check :
Dark Chest Of Wonders (Live End Of an Era)
Romanticide (Official Live Video)
The Kinslayer (Live End Of an Era)
Ghost River (Studio Version)
Planet Hell ( Live End Of An Era)
Those should get you in the mood.
+john_L we plan on doing Dark Chest of Wonders next...having said that I have given this song several listens now and like it more and more
If you'll like Dark Chest and the other songs I proposed then you are in for a treat with Nightwish!
Enjoy!
Dark Chest of Wonders is pretty good average song by Nightwish that gives pretty good image. Great live song and I recommend to take the same concert as Ghost Love Score from Wacken. =)
You really got a point there.
I love Nightwish m I've loved this band for years but I feel that when you make a review about them, I can trust your judgement
Quiet amazing you guys this has been your 1st Nightwish video!! in my case I have never listened to Wintersun,, but I will soon!
My check out video list for you:
Romanticide( live at Wacken)
The Poet and the Pendulum( live at Dallas,TX)
Song or my Self( live at Wacken)
Nemo (official video with Tarja or live at Wacken)
Bless the Child( live at Wacken)
Saludos!
TOP5 Nightwish songs:
1. Ever dream
2. Dark chest of wonders
3. She is my sin
4. Last ride of the day
5. Endless forms most beautiful
Nemo, Ever Dream, Dark Chest Of Wonders, Last Ride Of The Day, The Islander - my top 5 Nightwish songs with a 99.9% of getting you hooked on Nightwish :))
NIGHTWISH - Shudder Before The Beautiful (Live @Wembley Arena)
Amaranth and Nemo are probably my favourite Nightwish songs
"Hey, Hey, Hey, Heey!" (+some arm movement) = Proper crowd control 😈
"Ghost Love Score" is not the easiest, straight forward ongoing songs for stone hard Metal fans to listen. BUT...
Perfect introduction for the band, as you saw, to feel the hunger for more. 😉
Cool reaction guys.
Cheers from Finland 🇫🇮, the Mother Land of Nightwish 🤟😎
More Heavy songs is:
Romanticide - ruclips.net/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/видео.html
Dark Chest of Wonders - ruclips.net/video/OvOD6xecph4/видео.html
or two song from the latest album:
Shudder Before The Beautiful - ruclips.net/video/15H-TBrCyKw/видео.html
Weak Fantasy - ruclips.net/video/9RdBwCwIYs0/видео.html
or one epic song (from the latest album)
The Greatest Show On Earth - ruclips.net/video/4YFf5CZSCYM/видео.html
top 5 nightwish songs
1: Greatest show on earth ->this song is 20+minutes long but it is a masterpiece with very complex lyrics and song structure detailing all of earth's history and how insignificant humanity is in the grand scheme of things, it's amazing. The live version is even better.
2: Storytime -> you might enjoy this one more, it's heavier
3: She's my sin -> I love this song mostly because of the wacken 2013 live performance. The singing by the new singer (that you saw in this video) is absolutely amazing in this one
4: Phantom of the opera -> again, the live performance with their first singer (Tarja Turunen) is absolutely awesome
5: Dark chest of wonders ->another heavy song which you might enjoy, the live version from wacken 2013 is the best for me
Nightiwish with Floor is just one word at minute 10:23
WOOOW!
You should check out some other songs like 'Dark Chest of Wonders' ruclips.net/video/OvOD6xecph4/видео.html or romanticide ruclips.net/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/видео.html both are originally from the same album but I think they'll suit you more
10:16 - we have achieved Floorgasm ;)
You HAVE to check out:
The Poet and the Pendulum - Live at Wembley 2016 (an "epic" like Ghost Love Score, but more heavy)
Ever Dream - Live at Wacken 2013 (a more simple, ballad song but beautiful)
Shudder Before the Beautiful - Unoffical Lyric Video (Studio Version with awesome Visuals in the video)
With Ever Dream they can also hear Marco singing.
But maybe it's to "poppy" for these guys :D I think they will enjoy their heavier stuff more. In "Poet" Marco sings, too.
Janne Peuraniemi in ghost river and yours is an empty hope floor does some growls
I know, but it's not the usual style of Nightwish with, like the beautiful and majestic clean vocals with Marco revving his voice are. Floor actually growls rather nicely, even though I haven't got a hold of female growls so far.
1. Dark Chest of Wonders
2. Romanticide
3. Slaying the Dreamer
4. Song of Myself
5. Yours is an Empty Hope
Nightwish was one of the first bands that got me into metal music. I don't listen their songs very much anymore though, but here are couple songs I keep returning from time to time.
- Sleeping Sun
- Romanticide
- Bare Grace Misery
- Gethsemane
- The Riddler
I think you guys completely took the wrong Nightwish song to start with. They do a whole bunch of different compositions (and they have had 3 different lead female singers + 1 male singer) but because you like wintersun I am gonna recommend the following. Listen to one each from each set and then you can do down the list if you like:
First Singer - The legendary soprano Tarja (more symphonic and edgy compositions - classic Nighwish Sound)
1. Wishmaster: ruclips.net/video/R82paQbF0Yo/видео.html
2. Nemo (Don't listen to the official version it is slowed down in tempo): ruclips.net/video/AGWBmZnZdkw/видео.html
3. Phantom of the Opera: ruclips.net/video/8VgLKXD-BoY/видео.html
4. Bless the Child: ruclips.net/video/U52aAa9VkEk/видео.html
5. The Kinslayer: ruclips.net/video/YBkc2hxjoEI/видео.html
Second Singer - Annette Olzon (She was a great singer but completely different style - more jazzy and smooth. However, Nightwish stepped up their music quality and compositions during her time)
1. Storytime: ruclips.net/video/5g8ykQLYnX0/видео.html
2. Amaranth: ruclips.net/video/GdZn7k5rZLQ/видео.html
3. Bye Bye Beautiful (Official version is slowed down): ruclips.net/video/bK4tNY3vITc/видео.html
4. Turn Loose the Mermaids: ruclips.net/video/DJS5g4-p3K4/видео.html
5. The Islander (Marko is singing in this one - and this is quite a beautiful ballad): ruclips.net/video/--tFFz44zvc/видео.html
Current Singer - Floor Jansen (She is a pretty good singer who can belt soprano vocals (although not a good as Tarja) and does sing some early songs live. The only album she has sung in so far has been fantastic musically (it's based on Richard Dawkins' book Selfish Gene) and her voice suits it)
1. The Greatest Show on Earth (This will give you feels like Wintersun's Time - pay attention to the drummer (; ): ruclips.net/video/aTAaEHiGjvU/видео.html
2. My Walden: ruclips.net/video/J8Xwr1kTEdk/видео.html
3. Endless Forms Most Beautiful ruclips.net/video/vmuC1_WF2nQ/видео.html
4. Elan: ruclips.net/video/zPonioDYnoY/видео.html
5. Shudder Before The Beautiful: ruclips.net/video/XNy9rU7An00/видео.html
I can confidently say that there are only two kinds of people in this world - one who like Nighwish, and others who haven't listened to Nightwish. (:
Well, since floor jansen is the actual NW singer, I think you should listen to songs performed by her:
1.- Romanticide, live in Wacken
2.- Shudder Before the Beautiful, live in Wembley
3.- Stargazers, live in Tampere
4.- Storytime, Live in Wacken
5.- Dark Chest of Wonders, live in Wacken
Yeah, the wacken show as a whole is a great experience :) and Nightwish is definetly a the type of band that grows insede you! glad you guys gave it a try!
By the way guys
Nightwish have a replacement drummer and if you go you will be seeing them with Wintersun's drummer Kai :))
This song was written for Tarja when she was in the band, not Floor.
1. The poet and the pendulum live @wembley
2. Master passion greed
3. Yours is an empty hope
4. Romanticide
In Ever Dream you can also hear the bass player, Marco Hietala, singing - and he has some kickass vocals as well, I must add.
if you want some hardcore nightwish classics listen to either wishmaster or end of all hope. Both are great.
If you want a top 5 this one would be on top easily but otherwise my other picks are:
1. Romanticide from the same concert (Wacken Open Air 2013)
2. Yours is an Empty Hope (Live at Wembly arena)
3. Their cover of Phantom of the Opera (End of an Era concert - this is with their old singer)
4. Dark Chest of Wonders (Wacken Open Air 2013)
agree with every word
good fair reaction guys. i wasnt much a fan of NW but was a fan of their singer Floor Jansen from her previous band, After Forever which broke up. Once she became NW vocalist i made sure to go and see her. She has seriously one the most spectacular voices in all of metal. So ive seen them 2x w her and i highly recommend to check them out. she has great stage presence also. So i recc these songs to check out w her singing cuz you wouldnt dig as much their previous 2 singers
1.Yours is an empty hope
2, Shudder before the beautiful
3. Romanticide
4. Weak Fantasy
5. Phantom of the opera (yes they cover the classic song)
Symphonic Metal. Fuck yes
I'm following most of other people with my opinion. Ghost Love Score is not the best to introduce for people to hear the band for the first time. It's absolutely one of their best and beloved songs due to deepness and emotion gathered there. Nightwish is extremely versatile band that you can't expect anything that comes out. My recommendations:
4. Shudder Before the Beautiful (Live at Wembley) Pretty basic big sounding Nightwish song
5. Song of Myself (Live at Wacken). Another longer song with great story and nice power.
6. Greek Mary's Blood (End of an Era). Their original singer in her last concert. Beautiful story of indians life and sorrow. Kind of the same style as Ghost Love Score
Heavy Nightwish stuff:
1. Weak Fantasy (Live at Tampere)
2. Yours Is an Empty Hope (Live at Tampere)
3. Romanticide (Live at Wacken)
4. Storytime (Live at Wacken)
5. Slaying the Dreamer (End of an Era)
6. Planet Hell (End of an Era)
7. Master Passion Greed
8. Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean
9. Pharaoh Sails to Orion
More basic Nightwish stuff:
1. Dark Chest of Wonders (Live at Wacken)
2. Last Ride of the Day (Live at Wacken)
3. Alpenglow (Live at Tampere)
4. Stargazers (Live at Tampere)
5. Wishmaster (End of an Era)
6. She Is My Sin (Live at Wacken)
7. Stargazers (Live at Tampere)
8. Nemo (Official music video)
9. Bye Bye Beautiful
10. The Escapist
Great covers by Nightwish:
1. Phantom of the Opera (End of an Era)
2. Over the Hills and Far Away (Official music video)
3.
Light stuff:
1. I Wan't My Tears back (Live at Wacken)
2. Elan (Live at Tampere)
3. My Walden (Live at Tampere)
Ballads
1. Sleeping Sun (Live at Tampere)
2. While Your Lips Are Still Red (Official Music Video)
3. Forever Yours
4. The Islander
+Mikko Laine holy crap, this is one in depth post. Amazing work!!!!! This post is better than any video I could ever do.
I forgot Wish I Had an Angel from the Heavy List! :D
+Mikko Laine how dare you??? You should be ashamed of yourself.
I also forgot to mention that their bassist is absolutely the best male singer that Finland has. He was also very close to be picked to sing in Iron Maiden when Bruce left the first time. Amazing voice and character.
+Mikko Laine is there anything you guys can't do well?
A great reaction to a great song!
This performance is really at the top.of Just beautiful.
I would like to make 2 special suggestions almost no one will give you:
2 bands:
The Warning: start with "survive" at TedX, and then "21st century blood" official video.
1-Phantom of the opera live end of an era
2-High Hopes live end of an era
3-Romanticide live wacken 2013
4-My Walden
5-I Want My Tears Back
nightwish the greatest show on earth live tampere
You see, this song and especially this performance transmits a crescendo in passion. Imagine a young person, sweet and innocent in the ways of love. As time progresses that person gets more experienced, jagged and yet stronger. I believe this performance is meant to be a representation of personal growth, hence the slow progression in tempo and emotion. But hey, that's just my take on it. Cheers.
My top 5 nightwish songs are
1. Ever dream (it's kind of a ballade)
2. Romanticide (official live)
3. Slaying the dreamer
4. Yours is an empty hope ( in this she even does growls)
5. Stargazers (live at tampere)
+Diandra Koyro Camacho thank you for the suggestions
Start with Tarja era:
The Kinslayer
Over the Hills and Far Away
Sleeping Sun
Then Annete:
Amaranth
Ghost River
Then Floor Jansen:
Weak Fantasy
Yours is an Empty Hope
Shudder Before the Beautiful
Probably my top 5 from Nightwish:
- Shudder Before The Beautiful ruclips.net/video/15H-TBrCyKw/видео.html
- Alpenglow ruclips.net/video/oNC_uZ2GeU4/видео.html
- Last Ride Of The Day ruclips.net/video/E6EQgzPX7G4/видео.html
- Storytime ruclips.net/video/pvkYwOJZONU/видео.html
- The Greatest Show On Earth ruclips.net/video/aTAaEHiGjvU/видео.html
Alpenglow! Possibly the most underrated Nightwish song in my opinion.
Shudder before beautiful in amazing!!! I want to see them react on that.
Also in terms of female vocals, I think Unleash the Archers would be much more up your alley. They're a melodeath band driven heavily on guitar riffs and the singer's epic vocals. I'd recommend Tonight we Ride, Cleanse the Bloodlines, Apex and I guess Test Your Metal for a slightly less heavy song :D
either that or check out Battle Beast-Let it Roar
+blazejecar Unleash The Archers are Canadian and tomorrow we are having an all Canadian day....Stay tuned
Once you hear the song as a whole, you appreciate the beginning more each time you hear it
Nightwish always brings me in to a own world...brings up feelings, lead me to dreaming...its very atmospheric music.
My favourites: Weak fantasy, Shudder before the beautiful, Last ride of the day, The greatest show on earth and Planet hell
Dark chest of wonders, song of myself, ghost river, she is my sin. All of those are on that same wacken live. The bass player sings also and he is also an excellent singer.
My Top 5 Nightwish Songs:
The Islander
Élan
My Walden
Nemo
Over the Hills and far away
Everyone has his own favourite songs of Nightwish... they had many lead singers and they are doing many different styles from melodic to folk and various very epic styles. Nightwish is a classic band and even if they are not everyones cup of tea they will have at least one song you like.
I saw them life and they were amazing. I love Nightwish and I hope you guys will get into them in time.
Elan, Endless Forms Most Beautiful, Alpenglow, Wishmaster, and Bye Bye Beautiful
Ever dream!!!!!
Please!!!
Voltei apenas para ver a diferença da reação de vocês desse vídeo e do vídeo de I Want My Tears Back 😂😂😂😂😂
Estou com saudades dos vídeos do Nightwish!
Domingo!!!!
React to Nightwish The greatest show on earth (Tampere)
2. Passion And The Opera or Phantom of the Opera (Tarja Turunen)
3. Sleeping sun (Tarja Turunen)
4. Ghost Love Score
5. Ghost River
My Nightwish pick:
1.Wish I had an angel
2.Storytime
3.Shudder Before the Beautiful
4.Yours is an empty hope
5.Last Ride of the day
I think these songs are great introduction of NW variety, catchy melodies and they aren't too long.
Nightwish romanticide or Ghost River from Wacken 2013. Nice and heavy. Their whole Wacken 2013 set is awesome
Lol kids reaction in the beginning when floor started to sing he was like what f$&%
In no particular order ...
1. The Poet and the Pendulum
2. The Last Ride of the Day / Song of myself
3. The Pharaoh Sails to Orion (some terrific keyboard passage)
4. Wish I Had an Angel
5. Dark Chest Of Wonders / Wishmaster
Special Mention : Phantom of the Opera (Live)
Start with:
Singer, Tarja:
1. Dark Chest of Wonders
2. Wishmaster
Singer, Anette :
3. Storytime
4. Ghost River
Singer, Floor (The one you saw in this video)
5. Yours Is an Empty hope
6. Weak Fantasy
These are all a bit more heavy or driving than some of their more atmospheric or ballad type song, but will give you a nice insight into what Nightwish is all about! I hope that you are convinced to see them live because they are one of the most incredible bands live to see!
10th man down - BEAUTIFUL song. A whole lot more. They really have so many.
Remember.......this was 100 % live
My top-5 Nightwish songs are:
1. Nemo
2. Wish I had an Angel
3. Planet Hell
4. Ghost River
5. Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan
The last song is in Finnish, and singed by their previous vocalist, but it is really beautiful and powerful song.
You need to react to Nightwish - Dark Chest Of Wonders (Live Wacken 2013) and Last Ride Of The Day from Wacken 2013 too!. Love your channel guys! cheers
You should definetely check out Nightwish - Romanticide (Official Live Video). You won't believe how heavy the song is!
React to Nightwish - Greatest show on earth live at Tampere
That is their ultimate masterpiece and probably one of the most epic songs of all time.
Nightwish is truly a band like no other, and takes time to get used to. Tuomas Holopainen is one of the greatest musical minds of our time, a true genius.
Oh, and I almost forgot. Your friendly neighborhood Kai Hahto from Wintersun plays drums for Nightwish at the moment. He can be seen in many of their newer music and live videos.
For a classic throwback you should react to Iron Maiden - Hallowed By Thy Name. Great song!
Cheers and welcome to the channel.
You should listen to the more heavy tracks of Nightwish:
1. Romanticide (live at Wacken)
2. Slaying the Dreamer (live 2005 End of an Era)
3. Shudder before the beautiful (live at Wembley)
4. End of all hope (DVD - End of Innocence)
5. Kinslayer (live 2005 End of an Era)
1. Wishmaster
2. Ever dream
3. Nemo
4. Dark chest of wonders
5. End of all hope
NIGHTWISH - Shudder Before The Beautiful (Live @Wembley Arena) is the perfect choice for epic performance !!! Enjoy
I agree. I would recommend same concert just other songs: Ghost River, Storytime or I wish I had an Angel. try them :)
