Floor's headbanging...I dare you to not fall in love with her!
Floor is just an unbelievable singing presence live. Tarja and Annette both brought their own unique voices, but Floor seems to have really embraced being part of the band, and her energy at the close of this song is undeniable.
Dude, how can she have so much energy and stay so in tune throughout the whole concert with such vocally difficult songs?
Jukka and that drum solo that starts at 4:26...yes! He does everything with so much energy and enthusiasm! I always watch for him in the older videos.
Song Of My Self and Last Ride Of The Day the next ones from Wacken. Big respect to the music they produce.

The cameras are so well done because this show was shot as a live CD/DVD called "Showtime, Storytime", which I personally have. I am sure you could purchase it somewhere like on Amazon or directly from the label (I am not sure if its Century Media or Nuclear Blast because Nightwish was once on Century Media and I am not sure when exactly they went to NB).
It also has the documentary that covers that world tour leading up to that Wacken show, even the part during the US leg of the tour where they lost Annette and Floor came on to help them finish the tour.
And that is what I get for posting prematurely, it seems you are aware of the DVD's existence so nevermind! :P
I love watching this videos with you guys because Imaginaerium is my favorite album by Nightwish and Floor is my favorite of the three girls, so I get to listen to my favorite songs go from 60 to 1000.
Nightwish live @ tampere The Greatest Show On Earth. That one is best shows out there. You guys should watch that!

One of my favourite Nightwish songs from end of an era is Creek Mary's Blood. Its a really underrated song, granted not as heavy as most of NW stuff, but would definitely recommend checking it out.

Also from the Wacken performance, Ghost River and Last Ride of the Day were fantastic. Then again it's Nightwish after all, every song is fantastic.

Song of Myself from Wacken concert is great. You would like it for sure. And about watching the whole concert I can say that I've watched it multiple times during a month back then. Was like hypnotized..
good news guys. They also have a great DVD called From Wishes to Eternity with young Nightwish, and Vehicle of Spirit from their Endless Forms tour, so you have almost limitless live shows
So you guys like THIS song ay??? Ghost Love Score is Nightwish's Magnum Opus...you know like Beethoven's Ninth? Now a word or three about Dutch Frontwoman Floor Jansen. She is a trained opera singer but she can sing in almost every genre of music. In her youth she was a competitive bodybuilder at 6'1" 200lbs. Floor was brought into Nightwish as a replacement for the previous singer Anette Olzon. After this concert she was asked to become a permanent member of the band which she accepted.
Due to the worldwide pandemic, Floor has recorded several songs in her home studio which you can find here on youtube. The ones she sings in Dutch Finnish and German have English subtitles thanks to her recognition of the massive increase in her English-speaking fans.
We love you Floor!!!
[BTW one of her fans bought a "WET FLOOR" sign from a hardware store and gave it to her wrapped as a present. She brought it to a rehearsal and put it in front of her mic stand LOL!! :-D :-D]

Already mondaymorning, the day need to start here. What a good way to see you guys react to a Nightwish song. You should definitely check out more epic symphonic female fronted metal bands (gave some hints/ suggestions) For sure you should check out some pre-Nightwish Floor. The bands played in (After Forever, Revamp) or participated with (Star One, Ayreon)
Do all songs of the Tampere concerts 2015 with Floor and 2000 with Tarja (From Wishes to Eternity) ... my two favorite ones (also End Of an Era).
Nightwish live in tampere is maby most epic show what they have filmed imo but wacken is good too.
You should totally watch the movie "Imaginaerum" and review that.
By my count, the songs you still need to do from Wacken are, Wish I had an Angel, She is my Sin, Ghost River, Last of the Wilds, Bless the Child, Amaranth, Song of Myself and Last Ride of the Day. I vote for the next one you do to be Bless the Child.

Whats interesting about this show is that Floor Jansen was hired shortly before this concert and tour started and had only 48 hours to learn the setlist before the show and she performed flawlessly
just in case you were not aware of it , there is documentary about that tour. it was included as bonus material on the "showtime story time" dvd set. but it can also be found on youtube under the name "please learn the setlist in 48 hours"

So, you have 9 songs from Wacken left, excluding the outro, and 14 songs from End Of An Era, including covers. Lately you've been uploading Nightwish every three weeks. At that rate, assuming you stick to those two concerts only, we'll have a fun almost one and a half year ahead of us!

Another great symphonic metal band is Within Temptation. They started at the same year as Nightwish (1996). They also have in common that they to have a strong female vocalist (Sharon den Adel). Like Floor Jansen and Simone Simons she is Dutch aswell and her vocals are insane (of the 3 mentioned she my personal favorite). They have many great songs but a good one to start with is "The truth beneath the rose". This clip is from their "Black symphony" concert DVD. On this DVD they were backed by a full symphonic orchestra (60 people) and choir (20 people).

This concert was my real first exposure to this band and i watched the whole show in one go, not knowing any of the songs. It was a revelation and they got into symphonic metal.
Do yourself a favor and take a look at it. I can garantee You won't be disappointed.

They should start having Within Temptation days on saturdays, then we would get Within Temptation and Nightwish in the weekend! That is of course if they like it, but I don't see how they could not like WT when they're enjoying Nightwish as well. Heart Of Everything is still one the best albums I've ever heard, and they have loads of great songs. And I agree that they should react to Black Symhony versions.
