In your reaction at 3:03 I smiled and said: yeap, that's Tarja for you. I made the same reaction the first time I heard her, so many year ago, in a musical way it's like a Cupid's arrow right through the heart XD. They were my "gateway drug" when a friend of mine showed me a sample of one of their videos and that was it, I've been a metalhead (specially symphonic metal) since then, its my religion. I remember at the time reading LOTR and The Silmarillion, and thinking that Tarja's singing was like I imagine the Teleri elfs should sound like. On a side note: I'm surprised you haven't check out Rhapsody of Fire yet, for me they have the best orchestration and metal blend ever, listen to "Gargoyles Angels of Darkness" and you'll see.

naphackDT Oh that’s not what happen. She had lots of disagreements and tuomas had so much tension with tarja’s husband Marcelo. Nightwish used racial slurs to tarja’s husband which caused her to get in to big arguments with Nightwish and Nightwish screwed up people called them racist and tarja was just sad that they use racial slurs to her husband...
Just A Tarja Turunen Fan nobody in NIGHTWISH used "Racial Slurs" other than to compare Tarja's husband to Jay-Z because he wanted Tarja to travel apart from the band, would say that NIGHTWISH was limiting Tarja, was saying Tarja could be as famous as Céline Deon if NIGHTWISH wasn't holding her back. The physically attacked Empuu, Jukka and some of the crew right after the End of An Era show. That was the final straw. Empuu and Jukka wanted her out, Marco backed them up. Tarja was out. All of them have since made Peace, somewhat. All members of NIGHTWISH passed and present were part of a Christmas concert with quite a few other musicians in Finland last December. While they did not all perform together, they were all together back stage and at various times off stage.
@Rtm. Graf Gebhard von Sensburg-Neumark Floor is an educated Classical Vocalist. Tarja never intended to stay in NIGHTWISH indefinitely. She was planning to leave the band for 2 years. By her own admission, she was not planning to be part of the next NIGHTWISH album. She wanted the band to do a Greatest Hits album that neither the band, or their label wanted to do. Marcelo had become a headache (Tarja now admits that also) and backstage after the EoA show, Marcelo attacked Jukka. That was the final straw for Tarja's membership in NW. I have a band, if a member is bringing That much drama into my band, I don't care how talented they are, they're out. The Show Must Go On.
@Rtm. Graf Gebhard von Sensburg-Neumark For me Nightwish includes Tarja. Floor Jansen is really good but not Tarja. No. Dont say anything about this swedish 3rd vocalist who came after Tarja. (Anette Olsson).
Michael Von Drake Tarja was planning to leave in 2009 but things happen in bands. But Tarja said in a interview “I’m glad I’m not the same girl i used to be back then.” Tarja now is just now absolutely fabulous and fantastic
Tarja will always hold a special place in my heart. I miss this Era of Nightwish but I'm completely in love with Floor and this new Era. You guys should really explore more Nightwish. Their back catalogue is epic and incredible. I keep saying Pharoh Sails to Orion live!! I LOL. That one is with Tarja. If you want to really see something incredible, watch The Greatest Show on Earth live at Tampere (Floor Jansen) its long but very well worth the listen. I'm so glad you guys gave them another chance!
Tarja was/is not only the original and still the most long time singer of NW but also a founding member of NW with Tuomas and Emppu. They made NW sound unique, famous and international from a small town of Kitee (Finland)....the rest is history and continuing process and also some development with replacements.
If you love symphonic metal with amazing female soprano vocals, you HAVE to, i mean HAVE TO check Within Temptation!!!... I can't believe no one has mentioned them here or recommended them to you guys... The singer, Sharon Den Adel, did a duet song with Tarja on their last album called What About Us, amazing amazing song, but anything by Within Temptation is awesome.... Just throwing it out there, theres a world of great female vocalists you guys are missing out on like Elize Ryd from Amaranthe and Sharon from Within Temptation... Those 2 women did fill in vocals for a Nightwish show when they fired their 2nd singer and they didnt wanna disappoint their fans and cancel the show....
Nightwish - The Pharaoh Sails to Orion Live From Wishes to Eternity, you'll fucking love it :D it's with Tarja, they haven't played this song since 2003 ruclips.net/video/QODnHXXVBT4/видео.html
I love how we all can see the anticipation in your eyes before the intro. That is what makes your channel real. That is why i just became a patron. You guys are awesome!
I don't want to go into the ongoing Tarja vs. Floor debate (having seen them live with Nightwish, I think they are both amazing singers) but just add that without Tarja, this genre wouldn't probably even exist, because it was her voice that made Tuomas Holopainen develop the vignette sound of Nightwish. This said, as you seem to like Epica as well (and as I'm a huge fan of Kamelot, the band Epica got their name from) I recommend the live perfomance of Kamelot's "The Haunting" were former singer Roy Khan together with Simone Simmons really created a thing of pure beauty: ruclips.net/video/IWDALIOzXNk/видео.html . And for more of Tarja, I also recommend watching her collaboration with Netherland's Within Temptation, another great Symphonic metal band with an amazing singer: Paradise (what about us) ruclips.net/video/Dy6MpsDPKts/видео.html And third, for completion's sake, another Nightwish video, where they performed with their second singer Anette Olzen: Planet Hell ruclips.net/video/z_SlXqJjIO4/видео.html (I want to give a shout out to Anette because coming after Tarja, she wasn't appreciated much by a lot of fans though I think that especially with the Imaginaerium album, she really showed that she's also an awesome singer. Here she proves that she could sing older songs as well.
In my opinion, the greatest Nightwish tour! I've seen this tour three times: in Basel (Switzerland), at the masters of rock in Czech Republic and at Wacken open air! And I've also met Marco in a pub in Switzerland! Nice memories!
If you want to hear more of the bass player sing, listen to Nightwish - Master Passion Greed, which is by far the heaviest song by them. Also, his other band Tarot, is where he sings too. Songs like "Pyre of Gods" or "Ashes to the Stars" are some that I'd recommend heavily. Go for it! You'll love it!
Tarjas last christmas cd is absolutely amazing. She sang the first time after this concert with Marco at the Raskasta Joulu tour, heavy christmas song tour, 2017, it was an emotional moment at least for us in Finland to see.
Tarja is very good in operatic vocals, better than Floor, because she specializes in that, and has a very special voice. Floor, however, is more versatile, and has a better chest voice, plus she growls, too, lol. But if you want to explore her more operatic voice, you can check out her first band, After Forever (Mark from Epica was also in the band before creating Epica). Two songs that I love from AF are Leaden Legacy and Follow in the Cry (live, preferably). From Nightwish (all live): Planet Hell (End of an Era), Yours is an Empty Hope, Wishmaster (end of an era), Ghost River (Wacken), Ever Dream (I don't know which version I prefer, lol). From Floor's band, Revamp: Disdain (Graspop), Million (same), Here's my Hell (same), Wild Card, Wolf and Dog. From Epica, because you talked about them: Ascension (Dream State Armaggedon) (there's an official live of that one on their channel), Sancta Terra ft. Floor, Kingdom of Heaven, Universal Death Squad, Victims of Contingency. I think you'll enjoy most, if not all, of the songs.
Leaden Legacy is really beautiful, awesome slow song but I don't think they are ready for that yet (as they weren't for GLS). I would suggest Sins of Idealism. It has enough operatic parts to hear Floor's operatic voice and still is heavy that they would enjoy it. Greetings!
Oh! Monolith of Doubt or My Pledge of Allegiance I are awesome too! Well, I know they didn't really get into GLS, but I think it's also an acquired taste. Maybe having listened to other songs, they will appreciate it more now.
Great reaction guys! You should also know that Marco Hietala, the bassist, has a classical heavy metal band called Tarot, in which he sings and it's amazing too. You should check out some live perfomances from their live show Undead indeed, like I rule or Traitor.
You guys have to hurry, for Nightwish' US-Tour 2018 is going to start next month. They will play incredible 34 concerts throughot the US&Canada within 7 weeks in March and April.
Anything from this concert worth reacting too, it is amazing. But try out The Poet and the Pendulum, from Wembley, there is no words to explain it, you have to listen to it!
It's not so comfortable. You hear your favorites insulted and belittled all the time. I had the same, but toxic Floor fans who kept attacking the other two, have pretty much ended my Floor affection.
I’ve read that Tarja had the flu, when she sang 😱😱😱singing like that With the flu..... thx for A great reaction, totally love this Powerfull performance 🤷🏻♀️❤️🇩🇰🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Many years ago, RUclips suggested this Phantom of the Opera video to me. Like you, I was blown away. Roll on to 2018: Nightwish/symphonic metal are my favourite band/genre. It's so great to watch you both having the reactions that I did! Anything you check out with Tarja (pronounce the j as a y) or Floor will be epic. The middle singer, Annette, is on two great albums but was not great live, especially on earlier songs written for Tarja. Suggestions: Tarja: Dark Chest of Wonders ruclips.net/video/tVNtnOFdP4Y/видео.html (heavy), Sleeping Sun ruclips.net/video/ejnck_pnSWk/видео.html (beautiful, haunting ballad). Floor: Yours in an Empty Hope ruclips.net/video/bkOIskrv5a8/видео.html (powerful, heavy track where Floor growls!). I refuse to be drawn into the massive "who is the best singer" argument. They are both fantastic but have different styles. You need to listen to the same track by each one and see who you prefer. For me its ... (nope, won't say lol)
There are also songs that have just the lead guitarist and he sings really well in those. I love his voice in those as well. I don't recall which songs those are but I will look for some. What Night wish does is amazing itself. I love the way they work. Its always something new for them and their music is always good in my opinion.
To be honest I really don't like comparing singers. All three are different, and I'm so glad that they are. It's like there's 3 versions of Nightwish, and I can choose which one I want to listen to. They still are very alike, but still so different. I'm trying to say that we have a big variety of songs (and 'styles', so to say), so I personally just can't get bored of Nightwish. That's exactly why I love them so much.
Floor''s first band was After Forever.Which was a mix of Symphonic metal and progressive metal quite operatic and is worth checking out. Songs like Emphasis, Beautiful Emptiness, Transitory .... she's a versatile beast. I dont know many channels that even react to that band, criminally overlooked.
I would really recommend doing this video. From the same concert. ruclips.net/video/1p29LcuuvgQ/видео.html Lovely song! :) The song is called Ever dream and i think it's one of the best songs they have done. It's from the Century Child album.
Have loved the heavy metal sound since its start with Deep Purple and Black Sabbath in the early 70’s and as I got older in this 1990’s I started to like Broadway! Now I can have both at once! I love Emppus guitar flourish at the end and wish he had a solo during the song. He’s a great picker from what I have seen. Marko is a great singer. He has a powerful voice! Great reaction. Who’s better. I love both. I love the sound of a Ferrari but I also love Dodge SRT Hellcats! Enjoy!
Welcome to Symphonic Metal! One of my favorite genres :) Xandria is another but they tend to go through singers.. Marco the bassist has his own band called Tarot. I would check out Painless from it. He is also in Northern Kings. They do covers. I love their version of Journey's Don't stop believing. Also if you want full cheesy music check out Gloryhammer, really any song. Although Unicorn invasion of Dundee is a good one. Gloryhammer is Chris Bowes from Alestorm side project so you know it's gonna be good .
There are no bad songs in this End of an Era concert. As far as my favorite songs in this epic show (that you haven't already covered in previous videos): "Ever Dream" is passionate and beautiful.. "Sleeping Sun" is a bit slower, but highlights how beautiful Tarja's vocals can be.. "Slaying the Dreamer" is heavy as hell.. "Nemo" and "Wish I Had an Angel" are such catchy tunes. By far my favorite live concert, and a great send-off to the era of Tarja.
They also do a duet with floor and Marco singing Ave Marie also floor is the 3rd lead vocalist anette Olson sang vocals on the incredible Imaginaerum album, also look into the endless forms most beautiful especially the track the greatest show on earth enjoy
You should try to listen to "Scaretale" from their album "Imaginaerum" with the 2nd singer Anette Olzon. It's quite heavy and sort of her signature song, but it's also very different and Marco has a lot of fun singing ;) I know I just luuuv the ambiance of that song, it grows on you ! (It's so nice watching people fall in love with Nightwish !)
Hermosa interpretacion de el fantasma de la opera, sin lugar a dudaTarja es una de las mejores cantantes. Cada cantante de nightwish tiene su sello y cada album es una obra de arte. Saludos..
You don't know how much Nightwish makes the audience bounce :D Shudder Before the Beautiful, Dark Chest of Wonders or Storytime (the three latest opening songs) make people mosh and smash their hands in the air. They definitely don't just stand still there :D Then again songs like Ghost Love Score, Sleeping Sun and Greek Mary's Blood are magnificent songs just to enjoy and listen to. Dead Boy's Poem too. Nightwish is a real master to make great stuff from heavy and dark feelings to awesome melodies and powerfull ballads. Also lighter songs and even moderate level style.
Also check out Lacrimosa and Diem Carpe's covers. Diem Carpe's version is a cover of the Nightwish cover but is a music video with epic costumes, scenery, props and special FX
Believe it or not this was her last performance before the band had to let her go. The reason being that she never really felt like this was her path. Originally, when Nightwish was formed it was going to be more of a classical band. Tuomas noting Tarja's operatic training brought her into the fold and basically formed the band around her voice. Being that they were all good friends since childhood and growing up together, it was very hard for them when she started to drift away, missing the practices and started making statements about leaving the band. Floor was actually the 'fill in' singer back when Tarja started missing the practices. Then they hired Anette and she was with them for a time until she broke her ankle in a fall when she was pregnant. At that point Anette just wanted to heal, have her baby and be close to home. So they moved Floor to the position of lead singer. The song The Poet and The Pendulum, which was written and wholly composed by Toumas, was all about the dark time around when they had to ask Tarja to leave. Toumas and the band suffered depression over their feelings of betrayal, especially Toumas who was affected the most, to the point that the band, family, and friends were worried about him committing suicide. You can see in The Poet and The Pendulum that it's his journey working through that depression, those dark times. The very last words of the song are about forgiveness, love and making a fresh start, "In the end I will always love you....The beginning". So very hauntingly beautiful.
If you like Nightwish for those reasons, and if you like Epica for those reasons, I think you would also like Within Temptation. They have been around since before 1998 anyway (not sure of their full history) when they were at Wacken. They are GREAT and they featured Tarja in one of their songs, Paradise (what about us?). They are amazing and their lead vocalist also has a BEAUTIFUL voice! She has AWESOME control is also very versetal, so the band has taken some heat for apparently crossing genres within Metal. They have been a Symphonic Metal band and they were called a Goth Metal band at one point. Recently they have a sort of Pop sound, though they are still noticeably the same band (just a different drummer now).
I love your reaction when Tarja start her vocal solo at the end, your faces are priceless... I recommend ( Swanheart ) from Wishes to Eternity DVD, Tarja's voice is mind blowing.
This is one of the best covers ever! Simply amazing. If you want to hear more songs with Tarja (yes please), check out Ever Dream from the same concert: ruclips.net/video/1p29LcuuvgQ/видео.html Sleeping Sun, a great ballad: ruclips.net/video/0e5HATe9pwY/видео.html Kinslayer: ruclips.net/video/f3aM0XjYdBA/видео.html And also, dear A&P, I have waited for the whole month of January to see some Moonsorrow reaction since you mentioned them in your videos. I'm having a hard time to choose what to recommend for your first impressions (spent 2 hours just picking these 5). Huuto, one of their most popular songs: ruclips.net/video/MRg8Tg-oM_A/видео.html Jotunheim, great song with an absolutely beautiful intro!: ruclips.net/video/PqdvZTnRmnY/видео.html Raunioilla: ruclips.net/video/ocJm4D7a6Bs/видео.html Haaska: ruclips.net/video/fKpFcrfUmIk/видео.html Jumalten Aika, from their latest album: ruclips.net/video/nZTh-jgFHHo/видео.html They are long songs, but worth the time. And just as a fun fact, their main composer Henri Sorvali is making music for Angry Birds and other Rovio Entertainment games as his day job :D
Tarja does opera, and that's pretty much it. Floor is way more versatile and does that versality with quite amazing skill all over her range of timbres and styles... So what ever floats your boat.
let's be honest...Tarja's enormous soprano range will obscure anything Floor can offer with possible exception of the belting and roaring specialty (something that i love about her)...but the relatively, soft way she sings now compared to her powerful performances with her former bands and even her brilliant appearance in the 2013 wacken concert, make this whole discussion rather moot....
There's Anette Olzon also (singer with Nightwish from 2007-2012). Not everyone's favourite with that band, but to me a very underrated vocalist nonetheless :)
So glad you're going back to their classics too...you got to experience Tarja now ('j' makes a 'y' sound in Finnish and other Nordic languages, so Tar-yuh) and hear Marco's amazing complimentary vocals and just YAAAAAAAAY, there's a reason they're credited with popularizing the "Beauty and the Beast" vocals (which Epica took to a new level with Mark's harsh vocals) Nightwish is my favorite band, symphonic (power) metal Gods, I'm seeing them in March (sad you can't)
I totally agree with nimendhe109, After forever was an amazing band, most of the best Floor's performance can be seen with After forever. Leaden legacy and Follow in the cry are two great songs. I also recomend sins of idealism from the album invisible circles
Tarja's dramatic voice is so stunning! And that High Eb is so powerful!!!
This song was why I named my daughter Tarja!
Floor's good. Floor's *damned* good. But Tarja is MY Nightwish Frontwoman. Her voice is just...holy Christ.
I'm right there with you
damn right ♥

Agree to disagree

Exactly right! When I think of Nightwish it is the Tarja years.

Don't sleep on Annette! Scaretale, Storytime, Last Ride of the Day....super powerful metal with great vocals.

This was actually her last performance with the band. She got kicked out minutes after the show. You should check out The Islander, another NW song that offers something different.
why did she quit/get kicked? to me nightwish is dead, no Tarja no nightwish.
wow really? right after the concert? There must have been boiling stuff under the table up to that point..

While they did not all perform together, they were all together back stage and at various times off stage.
Please do The Siren end of an era!
joskuoraa the siren, nemo, wishmaster
Try reacting to Epica - Sancta Terra (feat Floor Jansen of nightwish) Live Retrospect show next
Now that's Nightwish, to me...
squashedeyeball oh hell yess
If you like the voice of Marco (bass guitar) you MUST check his band Tarot.(Pyre of Gods or Wings of Darkness songs for a start)
We will be doing Nightwish on a very regular basis on Sundays!!!
A&P-REACTS AWESOME! I love watching these!! You guys won't be disappointed. Its only better the more you watch.
On a random note: Akado- oxymoron no. 2 is a pretty fun song
The greatest show on earth is my favourite one by Floor
Yassin KF also a favorite of mine but I have so many now days LOL
Tarja was/is not only the original and still the most long time singer of NW but also a founding member of NW with Tuomas and Emppu. They made NW sound unique, famous and international from a small town of Kitee (Finland)....the rest is history and continuing process and also some development with replacements.
Nightwish - Stargazers (Live Tampere)!
Yes yes yes! I did also ask them to check WT in comments. Finally I'm not the only WT fan here ;)
Nightwish - The Pharaoh Sails to Orion Live From Wishes to Eternity, you'll fucking love it :D it's with Tarja, they haven't played this song since 2003
ruclips.net/video/QODnHXXVBT4/видео.html
I love how we all can see the anticipation in your eyes before the intro. That is what makes your channel real. That is why i just became a patron. You guys are awesome!
you should check out Kamelot - The Haunting ( with Simone Simmons from Epica ) or Elizabeth ( from the One Cold Winters Night DVD )
And for more of Tarja, I also recommend watching her collaboration with Netherland's Within Temptation, another great Symphonic metal band with an amazing singer: Paradise (what about us) ruclips.net/video/Dy6MpsDPKts/видео.html
And third, for completion's sake, another Nightwish video, where they performed with their second singer Anette Olzen: Planet Hell ruclips.net/video/z_SlXqJjIO4/видео.html (I want to give a shout out to Anette because coming after Tarja, she wasn't appreciated much by a lot of fans though I think that especially with the Imaginaerium album, she really showed that she's also an awesome singer. Here she proves that she could sing older songs as well.
Ya the haunting is an awesome song. Well worth a listen.
In my opinion, the greatest Nightwish tour! I've seen this tour three times: in Basel (Switzerland), at the masters of rock in Czech Republic and at Wacken open air! And I've also met Marco in a pub in Switzerland! Nice memories!
LOL your faces at 6:26 :) To complete all the Nightwish singers check out Storytime with Anette: ruclips.net/video/5g8ykQLYnX0/видео.html
With Tarja, Sleeping Sun. I promise you a tear in your eye :)
If it's the classical 1999 version.
If it's the pop metal 2005 version then... meh.
Guys, do Nightwish - The Siren, from the end of an era album. Both singers also feature in that one and it's probably my favourite Nightwish song.
For more of the bassist guy (Marco is his name) check out band Tarot. Especially “Pyre of gods” and “Wings of darkness” :-)
I love it so so much.Tarja is my Vocal Queen♥ THX for your Reaction
These two are also very good suggestions. Yeah... will be good if they re-listen to GLS now even for their own check.
Transitory .... De-Energized .... Emphasis .... Beautiful Emptiness...
all from After Forever i think theyd really enjoy
nimedhel09 free of dout the 3 first albums of AF are wonderful
6:20 Tarja's vocal solo always drops jaws!
yes, she is better ♥ Tarja is a goddess ♥
I have comfortable situation because i love Tarja, Anette and Floor :P
React to Nightwish-The Poet And The Pendulum(Live at Wembley)
There are also songs that have just the lead guitarist and he sings really well in those. I love his voice in those as well. I don't recall which songs those are but I will look for some. What Night wish does is amazing itself. I love the way they work. Its always something new for them and their music is always good in my opinion.
My ALL TIME favorite Nightwish song was and always is Mary Creek Blood.
Please react to Ghost Love Score from end of an era and also slaying the dreamer! :)
Whispered- Lady of the wind! Finnish samurai metal!
React to Shudder Before The Beautiful Live in Wembley
From the same concert (End of a Era): Ever Dream, Wishmaster, Dark Chest of Wonders, Ghost Love Score.
still gives me goosebumps. love this song.
I'm with you for the next nightwish, tarja reaction. ^^ I've seen them live in Berlin 10 years ago. Loving them too.
Me encantó la reaccio!!! Amo a Tarja hace muchos años jaja saludos cynthia de Argentina
There you go, now this is Nigthwish
Tarja is the best...just watch end of an era complete 💜
I would really recommend doing this video. From the same concert. ruclips.net/video/1p29LcuuvgQ/видео.html Lovely song! :)
The song is called Ever dream and i think it's one of the best songs they have done. It's from the Century Child album.
agreed, this is the one to do next.
Hey guys! Jeje you reacted to "ghost love score" on oct maybe can you react to the same song but the end of and era version please.
I love it "yours an empty hope" from Nightwish, I recommend it 😉🎸🤘
Nice reaction :D Good to see you guys starting to warm up to Nightwish.
When I saw the video for the first time at 6:20, I had the same reaction, impressive!
Enjoy!
You should watch and react High Hopes from Nightwish.
TARJA !!! 💛
I enjoy y’all’s reactions. More Tarja please
Saludos..
Finally, a good song. Tarja is a goddess. One of the best opera voices of all time.
Also, if you want to hear more of the bassist (marco hietala) do THE ISLANDER or HIGH HOPES
Also check out Lacrimosa and Diem Carpe's covers. Diem Carpe's version is a cover of the Nightwish cover but is a music video with epic costumes, scenery, props and special FX
Never mind breaking glass she could knock down buildings with that voice.
Nightwish is on their third vocalist. Tarja Turunen, second was Anette Olzon and currently Floor Jansen
Bobble heads. Priceless. Great music
Love symphonic-melodic metal
This is one of the best covers ever! Simply amazing. If you want to hear more songs with Tarja (yes please), check out Ever Dream from the same concert: ruclips.net/video/1p29LcuuvgQ/видео.html
Sleeping Sun, a great ballad: ruclips.net/video/0e5HATe9pwY/видео.html
Kinslayer: ruclips.net/video/f3aM0XjYdBA/видео.html
And also, dear A&P, I have waited for the whole month of January to see some Moonsorrow reaction since you mentioned them in your videos. I'm having a hard time to choose what to recommend for your first impressions (spent 2 hours just picking these 5).
Huuto, one of their most popular songs: ruclips.net/video/MRg8Tg-oM_A/видео.html
Jotunheim, great song with an absolutely beautiful intro!: ruclips.net/video/PqdvZTnRmnY/видео.html
Raunioilla: ruclips.net/video/ocJm4D7a6Bs/видео.html
Haaska: ruclips.net/video/fKpFcrfUmIk/видео.html
Jumalten Aika, from their latest album: ruclips.net/video/nZTh-jgFHHo/видео.html
They are long songs, but worth the time. And just as a fun fact, their main composer Henri Sorvali is making music for Angry Birds and other Rovio Entertainment games as his day job :D
Janne Peuraniemi
Sleeping sun is one of the greatest ballads ever.
Seen Nightwish live at Sweden Rock Festival (SRF).
first 6 words my whole body got goosebumps n tingles up n down my spine tarja is the best
The greatest show on earth!!!!
Watch Creek Mary's Blood from this concert too! I think you will like it :)
There's Anette Olzon also (singer with Nightwish from 2007-2012). Not everyone's favourite with that band, but to me a very underrated vocalist nonetheless :)
Please do Paradise from Within Temptation. Sharon has great voice as well. This song also features Tarja.
From Tarja era you could check "Slaying the dreamer" -Live-End of an era-. It's pure metal.
Best Nightwish song and perfomance ever....
this is not a nightwish song , its a cover
So glad you're going back to their classics too...you got to experience Tarja now ('j' makes a 'y' sound in Finnish and other Nordic languages, so Tar-yuh) and hear Marco's amazing complimentary vocals and just YAAAAAAAAY, there's a reason they're credited with popularizing the "Beauty and the Beast" vocals (which Epica took to a new level with Mark's harsh vocals)
Nightwish is my favorite band, symphonic (power) metal Gods, I'm seeing them in March (sad you can't)
I totally agree with nimendhe109, After forever was an amazing band, most of the best Floor's performance can be seen with After forever. Leaden legacy and Follow in the cry are two great songs. I also recomend sins of idealism from the album invisible circles
