I was about to suggest The Greatest Show On Earth Live in Tampere myself. One thing that would be cool is if they watched and reacted the whole Tampere concert in one video. I know it would be a long video, but I'm sure it would be a great experience for them :)

Floor Jansen is perfect balance between Tara and Annette. She owns the stage.

She really does fit the band perfectly. Tarja was too opera not enough metal, and Annette was too metal not enough opera. Whereas, Floor is right at home with Nightwish's sound.
The basis of the Nightwish band was built on the opera so you find albums with Tarja are all very high level songs unlike the new albums ones a few powerful songs.
@@InquieteNightshade Anette was to pop I would say. Not really metal. She was great in the studio, but couldn't bring the same live.
So glad to hear you guys are getting more into Nightwish. I remember having the same initial reaction years back when I first discovered them and then after a few listens came to better appreciate what this amazing band does. So much heart, power, and electricity! And yeah, there's drama and conflicting opinions regarding the singers, but despite Floor being my personal favorite, I like to think of it as a bonus to have the option to listen to three incredible women bringing their unique talents to the music.
I always find something like Ghost Love Score, while an amazing song, not so great for "first NIghtwish songs" because it is more mellow and sort of slowly builds up to a grand climax. It being the first Nightwish song they heard I understood why they were a bit iffy on the band at first.
BlackDragonBurn if you think 7/8 original albums are just a bonus then you don't really like nightwish you are just a floor fan. every song is perfect with original vocals because they were composed in order to fit the voice of the singer in their time.

I absolutely love nightwish, i love tarja, but holy hell floor is on key and kills it way more often than not live. Floor is exactly what they needed.

YESSSSSS!!! FINALLY EVER DREAM. Wacken 2013. My fave version of this song. Floor makes it her own. And yes there always some Floor maniacs and Tarjaholucs that battle with each other but under it all we all LOVE THIS BAND. THANK YOU for Ever Dream.

During this world tour they play mainly older songs but few newer as well. I don't know if you have a song for Wednesday. If no I recommend songs from their current tour setlist (with Floor): I Want My Tears Back (live, Hartwall Areena) or The Greatest Show on Earth (live at Tampere). Or The Poet and the Pendulum (Vehicle of Spirit), this isn't on the setlist though but on of their greatest songs. Nightwish Sunday is an awesome idea!
Floor is my favourite but Tarja is amazing too. And don't forget about Anette Olzon :)
And after seeing them live you will like them even more :D
Man... great video, and great reaction. I do like that you will do Nightwish songs from all three singers. That will give you perspective and broaden your opinion of Nightwish songs.
But now I really would like to see your reaction of Greatest Show On Earth (live version, Tampere show). That is a epic metal song, you can't go more epic than that, some epic singing, some epic drumming and quitar playing. It's a long song, but worth every minute.
That one will have to wait for the summer when we have more time and days to record!
You guys have to do "The Greatest Show on Earth" live in Tampere on Wednesday. This is their magnum opus and definitely will be played at the show that you attend. One of the best songs ever written - period.

It's great seeing you guys come around to Nightwish. They have so many good songs that you'll be able to do these videos for quite a while. For your next one, I'd recommend either Nemo or Amaranth

He replied in another comment that he is doing a "ft. Floor" double header soon where he is doing an Epica song and Evergrey song, so I am assuming they are doing In Orbit. It is a great song, but I would wish their first Evergrey song would be something heavier/darker from an earlier album like Recreation Day or Inner Circle..
Oh thats nice, didn't see that. But that is awesome! And I do completely agree on that, something from Recreation Day or Inner circle would be better to start Evergrey off. I would definately start with "touch of blessing" anyway, and then do the following reactions in the following order: Recreation Day, You, Broken wings, Wrong, Torn, the paradox of flame, Blinded, Your darkest hour, I'm sorry, in orbit.

I do not think that in orbit is a fair representation of Evergrey as a whole. That is why I would not perhaps start with it. I would rather start with something more "typical" and characteristic like "A touch of blessing", "Wrong" or "Recreation day" :)
Awesome...you guys are in for a treat. I just saw them in Baltimore, and I was in the front row :) Floor is just amazing on stage. Baltimore was a seated venue, and we stood from the second the show started until the end, so you will too lol. I think it's really cool that you guys are going to these concerts and not taking school as seriously, personally I think school is quite detrimental at the minute, there is so much pressure to get good grades as atleast in the UK we are told it will determine our entire lives and it definitely takes a toll on most people, and most of the stuff you learn is useless anyway! The only important part is getting grades, it's doesn't teach you important skills.
I am incredibly lucky imo, I naturally get good grades (I do try in school, but I only try in school tbh lol) and I am laid back with grades and whatever, life is gonna roll on ahead and you don't know what you wanna do until you do it, so I personally don't see the point of stressing and getting all worried about it.
Time is invaluable, you guys will only have so much time to do things together that I don't think there is many things more important than having great memories, I do truly love my folks but we never really do anything together and I really wish I had those memories but I just don't and don't ever think I will, so yeah, make the most of it!
Went to the show in Charlotte on March 10, with VIP....So amazing...it was definitely one of the BEST shows I've ever gone to, and Marco and Floor were so bubbly and amazing to meet. Emppu was fun onstage...he just needs to work on his pick-throwing, lol. Glad you guys finally got to see them too!!!
I wish if you would react to Nightwish more frequent, it's because they have so many good songs, I discovered them 5 years ago by total Coincidence، on RUclips I just stumbled on "The End of an Era" Concert without knowing who they are, at the beginning I thought they were a different band because I got there from a related video, so I watched the whole Concert and immediately fell in love with them, their kind of music was totally new to me and it hit my soul so bad, after that I downloaded all of their albums and for about six months after that I never listened to any other music but Nightwish, and still today about 70%-80% of the music I listen to is Nightwish, and when their last album came out 3 years ago (exactly by the way), it was on a loop every day all day and never got tired of it, for me I don't consider any Nightwish song is a bad song and I loved all three singers and still follow Tarja and Annette solo carriers thanks to their time in this band.

WOW congrats on going to NIghtwish Im so jealous, I went to see them on 2012 when floor had only been with them for a month or so, and although everyone could tell she was nervous as hell she rocked!! There are rumors they are coming back by the end of the year! Anyway you better do your homework because this tour, Decades, is a special 20 years aniversary tour and they are playing really old songs some of them havent been played since 1998 , so its a really wierd and changing set list!!!

I just saw them in Atlanta on the 9th and they were fucking AMAZING!! They ended up closing the show with Ghost Love Score. Yall are in for one hell of a good time!!!
I like Nightwish with all 3 singers, but there are a lot of people who just can't let go and move on ...
yeah, to me it doesnt matter even tho they sound different, because all 3 are still very good singers
You have to keep in mind that Tarja Turuunen had a big part in the original success of Nightwish and the combination of Tuomas Holopainen's songwriting skills and her voice is what created the special magic . So to lose a singer so beloved is already hard, but to lose her the way it happened made it even worse and the fans lost that magic with it.
To be perfectly honest, I still have a hard time forgiving Tuomas what and how he didit back then, and I also think that they kinda repeated the pattern with Anette, but no matter how you think about the circumstances, what I never understood is how you can pile so much hate on Tarja's successors (especially on Anette) when they had nothing (nada, niente) to do with that decision first place
And just to add that: I loved everything after Tarja's departure, from Dark Passion Play to Endless forms most beautiful and still think that Imaginaerium with Anette Olzen was near perfection. Floor is to me one of the best singers on planet earth anyways
I discovered Nightwish during Tarja's time and I fell in love. I lived the Annette Era and it was still awesome. Then I kinda forget Nightwish, it was this old band I liked to listen sometimes. But Floor just resurected Nightwish for me. And, even if I still love the old singers, I fell in love with Floor's ability to be able to sing everything and blast it with almost perfection. To me, Tarja was the Diva ; Annette the Angel ; but Floor is the Valkyrie. And I love them all too. ^^ Because Nightwish is more than its singers. It's all about the band and the alchemy between its members

Recently discovered NW myself (about a week ago) after sleeping on them for a very long time. They are now my favorite band, hands down. How stupid I was to not give them a listen until last week. Literally have only listened to them since. I’m hooked.

Great video guys. Hope you enjoy the concert, I've seen them so many times in 4 continents! But I'm ever so slightly concerned (in a good way though). Once you've seen them live and have listened to the songs sung by Floor, anytime you listen to the same songs sung by Tarja and Annette it will leave you feeling "empty". Well, at least that's how I felt/feel. Floor is a major upgrade to both of them. In the studio Annette is great but live she is not the same singer. Tarja is " too" operatic, although her voice is beautiful (totally over her now) ........... but............ Floor is, well there is no other word to describe her except, perfection. She can sing both of them off the stage. She can sing operatic, pop, rock you name it she can sing it. I've followed NW from the very beginning and I love all 3 singers but Floor completes them. You could say she's the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle.
and also: thks for sharing good music with yr son......we need more !!!!

Nightwish is my alltime favorite band and their music has helped getting very difficult times so I owe my life to them
You really have to hand it to Jukka in this track his insane drumming, and double bass hits are insane. I think NW have been really lucky to have had two world class drummers in Jukka and Kai.

Same here, our first and we are so pumped.
I have been listening to NIghtwish since 03 or 04 and April 19th will be my first time seeing them live. Actually, they will be only the second concert I have ever gone to after Amon Amarth last year. Metal acts have only just started to come around my area in the last couple of years, so while I have been HUGE into metal for 15ish years now, I haven't really had concert experience until last year.

You guys started with Ghost Love Score which is a complex song that takes a few times before you REALLY get in to it. That might be the reason why you didn't "get" Nightwish in the beginning. But hey better late than never. You will love them.

Pia Lindqvist yes, one of the best or maybe the best imo. But if you are a new listener, you might want to start with something "easier" and and something a bit more catchy.

But still, I have to agree. If you hate school and don't care about it at all, might as well devote your time to doing something you love. Everyone only has one life, so we should enjoy it while it lasts.
I went to college, but I've been a bit icky when it comes to thinking about university-level education. People keep telling me that I should educate myself as much as possible, but right now I prefer to work as a carpenter with a small salary because it gives me the time to listen to a ton of music, and lately the time to actually _make_ my own music. Besides, I grew up watching science and history documentaries instead of cartoons and my IQ consistently measures well above average, so how much am I really going to lose by not sitting in class for another 4-5 years anyway? One of the things I hated most in college was the fact that I already knew half of the stuff we were "taught" there. I just don't see the sense in that.
And in time, this youtube channel of yours could actually be a profession for you, with the trademark #heyguys and everything. :)
He is smart he just doesn't like school....which is fine, as long as he gets something out of it. To me I value the time we spend together going to shows, because we will only have this time to do this before life takes over his life.
From what I hear (I'm in Europe), public education in the US is pretty bad. But my guess is Canada has things better organized. I heard some good things about Montessori education. I think they let kids go more by their own pace (fast on some subjects, slower on others, etc.). Maybe that is the solution ? If the current education isn't working at least have a look around, because education is still important.

Just checked the setlist they're playing on this tour and wow it has a lot of very old songs like 'The Carpenter'. I don't think Floor has ever done it before.

Haha! I think you didn't start with the best song for non-Nightwish listeners. Ghost Love Score is one of their best songs, but it's so intricate that you need to have heard Nightwish stuff before to really appreciate it, plus I think the more you listen to the band, the better it gets, lol.

Nightwish é daquelas bandas que a primeira vez que se ouve pode parecer algo estranho, principalmente quando temos um background mais agressivo tipo death black ou folk metal (o que era o meu caso quando comecei a ouvir isto para ai em 2005. Mas o certo é que a música deles é fascinante, as letras são magnificas e Thomas Holopainen é um génio! Eu sugeria antes da proxima reacção veres alguma entrevista do Tuomas sobre a música deles, o que o move... Etc. Dá te uma outra prespectiva da musica.
A titulo de curiosidade, há um tipo chamado Dean Kapri se não me engano, que é um pianista que tem vários videos no RUclips de covers de nightwish, e mais recentemente fez um DVD na Finlândia na qual da um concerto de piano acompanhado de um violino e 7 vozes femininas (acho k são 7 mas n tenho a certeza) só de nightwish, se pesquisares por kiteenarium no RUclips encontras facilmente...

Great reaction to a wonderful song by a fantastic band. Please note that the current tour is the Decades tour so the setlist will include lots of very old songs that are not really metal at all. That said, I know the songs are getting a bit of a rework for the tour and seeing them live with Floor will be epic. I'm jealous as they don't have any dates in the UK on this tour apart from Bloodstock and I don't do festivals. Enjoy!

I had the fortune of going to two concerts with their first singer, Tarja, and this song, Ghost Love Score and Phanton of the Opera were beyond perfection. It was great. All three singers are great but Annette struggled live. Still jats off to her for having the balls to step up and fill Tarja's spot.
