Washer is one of the most deceptive false teachers. Even though I was already saved, for several years I got caught up listening for hours to teachers like him, and it eventually lead to extreme anxiety and fear that I might not be saved. People like him preach “you must do enough good works or turn from certain sins, and if you don’t maybe you didn’t truly believe.” I believe the Holy Spirit led me to ministries like yours, that preach the clear gospel of grace by faith. Thank you for your videos and I pray that they will help others come to faith and also help them in their walk after they are saved.

@@williamwagoner7857 While Washer may have some or even many elements of truth in his sermons, Washer seems to focus more on the sinner and what they must do or continue to do, than the savior. Now we should do works after we are saved: to honor God, and so that others may believe (Matthew 5:16, 28:19-20, Ephesians 2:10) and I’ll admit, I often feel like I don’t have much “fruit” in my life and want to grow in that, but our fruit or behavior doesn’t save us. The only thing that saves us is trusting that Jesus paid for our sin and rose again.

    • @Jeremy_Mitschke
      @Jeremy_Mitschke 9 месяцев назад +4

And the fear and the anxiety came from looking at my life and not seeing hardly any “fruit bearing”, even though deep down I think I knew I was saved. And even if I were a missionary and doing many things to serve the Lord, Washer and his Calvinist friends will never tell you when you’ve done enough because of their “perseverance of the saints” doctrine. And frankly, it is true that no amount of works is good enough in the eyes of God. (Romans 4:4-5)

      @TheShadow. 1,
      WHAT is the BIBLICAL Docrtrine
      of ELECTION and PREDESTINA
      TION?
      Jesus revealed this doctrine of
      Election and Predestination in
the parable of Wheat and Tares
      In this parable, Jesus revealed
the doctrine of election and pre
      destination..and who are those
      people who are predestined to
      be saved, and those predestined
to be burned in the lake of fire..
      Jesus revealed in this parable
      that those who are predestined
to be saved are the children of
      God literally..
      And those who are predestined
to be cast to the Lake of fire
are the children of the devil
      literally..
      Adam and his descendants are
      the children of God because
Adam is a true son of God as
      revealed in Luke 3:38...
      Cain and his descendants are
      the children of the devil
because Cain is the seed of the
      serpent(devil) as mentioned in
      Genesis 3:15...
Cain is not the son of Adam, he
is not included in the Genealogy
      of Adam in Genesis 5...
Cain has his own Genealogy in
      Genesis 4.. all the descendants
of Cain are very evil people like
      him...
      Jesus revealed in this parable
also that there are only 2 kinds
of people in the world, they are
the children of God literally and
the children of the devil literally
The children of God are called
Elect, and the children of the
      devil are called reprobates...
      Sometimes Jesus called the
      Elect Sheep and the Reprobate
      Goat.. All the Elect are
      predestined to be saved, and
      all the Reprobates are
predestine to be burned in the
      Lake of Fire...
Jesus gave His Life only for the
      Sheep(Elect) John 10:15
EXAMPLE of the children of the
devil can be found in John 8:44
EXAMPLE of the children of God
can be found in Psalm 82:6 and
      in Romans 8:14..
      Having the knowledge of the
      Parable of Wheat and Tares
      can answer the age-old
      Mystery of what will happen
to a newly born child who
died or to the unborn fetus
      who died in the womb..
      GOD BLESS YOU ALL WHO
      BELIEVES IN THIS REVELATION
      OF JESUS IN THE PARABLE
      OF WHEAT and TARES...

Paul Washers teaching and the way he exposits the word, by Gods grace, has brought me out of a pietistic funk I've been in for some time now. Realizing I cannot please God and that Christ HAS already pleased God has been so freeing. Believing on this finished work is what pleases Him and inspires love and obedience and the fruit of the Spirit. This is something my mind, left to itself, would be completely unable to realize. The natural man receives not the things of God nor can he understand them.

What is the proof of my salvation? 1 John 5:13 "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." That's the best proof I know of.

    • @victorcroker2765
      @victorcroker2765 2 месяца назад

Don't be fooled. That's not proof at all. God wrote Matt 7:15-16 for a reason. It's a parable, but the lesson is clear. Those people in the parable "believed", and what was their outcome? The only assurance we can have is an ongoing desire to be obedient to the Word of God. We should find ourselves growing in the Lord more this year, than last year, and so on. That we hold the Bible as the Word of God and know when we read it, that's God speaking to us. That it's not a book of fairy tales and morality, but the power of God that leads to eternal life! Understand 1John 5, as all the scriptures, are written for the ones that God is planning to save, or has already saved. It's not written for the unsaved that God didn't choose. They will never see any truth in the Bible. Only, (from their vantage point) contradictions and inconsistencies. It's our Godly fearing of the truth of the Word that assures us of our personal relationship before all mighty God. The believer doesn't need proof, he already gets assurance.

You cannot read the new testament and come to the conclusion that the doctrine called calvinism is not biblical.
Not only that, but the doctrine of election is an entirely God glorifying view of salvation where as anything contrary reserves some miniscule amount of glory for the decision of man. Dead men cannot "make a decision" and free will is an illusion. Not only from a theistic perspective but from a scientific one as well.

I have watched Paul Washer for the last 2 years and I am convinced that he preaches straight from the Bible regarding salvation, justification, sanctification and glorification. He loves the Gospel of Christ and what he means for good, some of you are seeing as bad. Specifically, when he makes you "doubt your salvation", he isn't being mean or acting out his "Calvinism". He means that just because you prayed the sinners prayer, that doesn't mean you are saved. That prayer or any other communication you may have with God must have involved the deposit of the Holy Spirit. If that had happened, then your life would have transformed over timev to become more like Christ and life was regenerated. Paul Washer simply says that you must have evidence of the fruits of your new life in Christ that is, desire to read his Word, wanting to fellowship with His people, less and less desire of the things of this world, wanting to confess our sins and humbling ourselves, have new relationship with sin so that when we sin, we ask for forgiveness right away, and we understand that God is most offended by our sin, we want to worship more. If you consider this newness of life as works then, that is not Biblical, we love like this new life because the indwelling Holy Spirit compels us to live such lives, not because we have to or out of obligation. These are some of the fruits of our new life in Christ. Paul Washer all days this kind of life style reflects our salvation in Christ. We still have temptation and sin but generally our course of life follows Christ. Its better that we all search our assurance of salvation on this earth before we enter eternity, which is too late because there is no purgatory. Fruits or evidence in our lives confirm if we belong to Christ and not whether we say we believe or we made a decision to follow Christ.

There is one point missing from this text in Luke that is glaring. The rich man never repented of his sin, neither did he demonstrate or even claim that he would seek to love the Lord his God. All that he asked fkr was physical relief from his torment, finger tip of water v24. And mental relief that his brothers would not enter into that torment v28. There is no sign of remorse over his life nor any demonstration of a changed heart towards God. Its just not in the text.

Grace of Christ on a wretched man whose blood was poured out

Great video! While listening to this, 2 Cor. 11:3 popped into my mind right away. "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." Why would God make salvation so complicated if He wants everyone to be saved (as 1 Tim. 2:4 clearly states)? How can a loving God select only a small percentage of mankind to be saved and consign the rest to eternal torment without giving them an opportunity to believe? Furthermore, how does this teaching square with the biblical truth that God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34)?
Calvinism is one big fat contradiction, and it naturally leads to one of two outcomes. Either a person will look at their works and think they are performing well enough to prove that they are one of the elect, or they will look to their works and conclude that they are hopelessly lost. Either way, the Calvinist is looking to their works and not to the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.

These people really make Salvation burdensome and it's not. Jesus even said my yolk is easy and my burden is light. Come unto me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I'll give you rest. Mankind has the ability to choose or reject God. Adam and Eve chose to disobey God in the garden. Satan chose to rebel against God. It has always been a matter of choice. Choose you this day who you will serve. It's not a matter of God choosing some and rejecting others. When the Gospel message goes forth, a person chooses whether or not they will accept it or reject it. The same offer is given to all of humanity. Jesus paid the price for our sin. Will we accept that and believe and trust in Him alone for Salvation or reject it. It's just really that simple

Most of Calvanism is bunk. However, even a broken clock is right twice a day. I think the best way to explain "chosen" is that God, as an eternal being, has seen our lives play out. He knows whose are His. He therefore has chosen us to mold as clay, to refine as gold. He knows us before we are born because He is an eternal being. It is written that no one can claim that Jesus is Lord except that he is called by the Holy Spirit to do that. Chosen. So, yes, we all get to choose God/Jesus or not. However, God compels us, calls us, to Himself because He knows us and chose us. ✝️🕊️💗

Second, no one is in or going to Heaven. You will not find that anywhere in the Bible. It does say where Christ is we will be with him but that's not until the first resurrection.
Third, no one is in Hell or the lake of fire. The great white throne of judgement hasn't happened so everyone is still in their grave from Adam to King David to Peter and anyone else that has ever died.

    • @BibleLine
      @BibleLine  9 месяцев назад

Regeneration does happen upon belief. You receive the Holy Spirit, and he regenerates your dead spirit to life. You now have a regenerated spirit that cannot sin. It is that your flesh still sins (ie the body you see - the spirit is not seen). Sanctification is taught 3 fold:
      1) Positional Sanctification - we are immediately set apart in Christ the moment we believe (1 Cor. 6, Eph 1)
      2) Practical Sanctification - we set ourselves apart daily by walking in the Spirit - this changes all the time (Gal. 5:16-23)
      3) Permanent Sanctification - we are set apart in eternal life as perfect as Christ upon death or rapture (1 John 3:1-3)
      Thanks

    • @PurpleGiraffe9533
      @PurpleGiraffe9533 9 месяцев назад +1

@@BibleLine Well Trent, yes regeneration does happen when we believe. But the thing is a person places their faith in Christ through the Spirit’s conviction or the convincing of sin and judgment. It is the Spirit of God that grants repentance towards God and faith towards Jesus Christ. It’s the Spirit that gives life. This is a spiritual birth isn’t it? Just by having so called head knowledge without the Spirit giving life sounds like a spiritual stillborn, not a true spiritual birth. There must be heart felt contrition and heart felt repentance towards God. This is a work of the Spirit. Only the Spirit of God can change the heart of a sinner. A heart that loves sin is a heart that isn’t prepared for Heaven. Free Grace preachers typically change the meaning of repentance and encourage belief from the head, while the heart still loves sin… That sounds like a heart that is very far from God.

Sorry you've become convinced of that. For all his Christian bravado... this poor man doesn't even have assurance that he is saved because Calvinism doesn't afford it. Even R. C. Sproul affirmed that. The problem the Calvinist has is this; Since Calvinism contends no one can believe and respond positively to God apart from God's effectual act upon them against their will, (Sproul reluctantly agreed it is akin to 'spiritual rape' because the reprobate literally has no say in the matter), This is also true of anyone who leaves the faith or rejects Calvinism.
I’d say one would be hard pressed to suggest these prominent former Calvinists didn’t ‘understand’ TULIP. Here are a few recent well known and respected de-converts:
Tyler Vela, long-time popular Calvinist apologist, now denies Christ
Paul Maxwell, a former long-time associate of John Piper/ Desiring God writer and the author of the book The Trauma of Doctrine, has announced he is no longer a Christian.
Derek Webb, artistic apologist for Reformed theology for 10yrs in his work with Caedmon's and then in his solo albums, now denies Christ.
Joshua Harris, leading Calvinist pastor and author, fonder of Sovereign Grace Ministries, associate of Louis Giglio/’Passion movement’, left ministry and the faith altogether.
ALL of these people affirmed Christianity and Calvinism for many years... which they also affirmed was by God's decree, just as any Calvinist does. "Unconditional Election" is the Calvinist fundamental premise. However, now they have all abandoned their belief in Christ. And a Calvinist must affirm this is also only by God's decree. This means their entire Christian experience and testimony was only an episode of Evanescent Grace... their faith was fake.. by God' decree, and they had no idea.
John Calvin devised his theory of temporary/ ‘Evanescent Grace’ which teaches that God grants 'temporary/fake "faith" some which causes them to live convincingly 'as-if' they are saved. BUT God withdraws it later because he was just messing with their mind for his own amusement and never really loved them anyway. THAT is what Calvin taught and IT IS THE ONLY way to explain those who abandon their profession of faith within the parameters allowed by Calvinism. No man can profess Christ apart from God's decree and the same is true for those who later deny Christ.... As they like to say, "It's all God".🤷🏻‍♂ But you can never know if the faith you think you have is actually 'genuine' or not. This means Calvinists are encouraged to worship a God who, in the end, cannot be trusted to love any one individual…personally, certainly not themselves. If he did it to these studied, prominent, trusted, and respected Calvinists, you have no assurance God does not already have plans to do it to you. 🤔
The Calvinist can have no assurance of their election to salvation because Calvinism does not afford it. All one can do is search for 'evidence' of Christian activity (works) and cling to them like a broken plank form a sinking ship and "hope for the best" because that's all they have.
As for those who come out from under the fog of Calvinism and retain their faith in Christ, the single most common comment is along the lines of “I can’t believe I ever fell for it” Once you accept the false premise of Calvinism, all scripture must be first ‘filtered’ through TULIP and that which doesn’t ‘fit’ must be ‘massaged’ until it does, and that which cannot be made to fit is explained away or sacrificed on the alter or “mystery”. All this is done that the doctrine of TULIP may survive.

      WHAT is the BIBLICAL Docrtrine
      of ELECTION and PREDESTINA
      TION?
      Jesus revealed this doctrine of
      Election and Predestination in
the parable of Wheat and Tares
      In this parable, Jesus revealed
the doctrine of election and pre
      destination..and who are those
      people who are predestined to
      be saved, and those predestined
to be burned in the lake of fire..
      Jesus revealed in this parable
      that those who are predestined
to be saved are the children of
      God literally..
      And those who are predestined
to be cast to the Lake of fire
are the children of the devil
      literally..
      Adam and his descendants are
      the children of God because
Adam is a true son of God as
      revealed in Luke 3:38...
      Cain and his descendants are
      the children of the devil
because Cain is the seed of the
      serpent(devil) as mentioned in
      Genesis 3:15...
Cain is not the son of Adam, he
is not included in the Genealogy
      of Adam in Genesis 5...
Cain has his own Genealogy in
      Genesis 4.. all the descendants
of Cain are very evil people like
      him...
      Jesus revealed in this parable
also that there are only 2 kinds
of people in the world, they are
the children of God literally and
the children of the devil literally
The children of God are called
Elect, and the children of the
      devil are called reprobates...
      Sometimes Jesus called the
      Elect Sheep and the Reprobate
      Goat.. All the Elect are
      predestined to be saved, and
      all the Reprobates are
predestine to be burned in the
      Lake of Fire...
Jesus gave His Life only for the
      Sheep(Elect) John 10:15
EXAMPLE of the children of the
devil can be found in John 8:44
EXAMPLE of the children of God
can be found in Psalm 82:6 and
      in Romans 8:14..
      Having the knowledge of the
      Parable of Wheat and Tares
      can answer the age-old
      Mystery of what will happen
to a newly born child who
died or to the unborn fetus
      who died in the womb..
      GOD BLESS YOU ALL WHO

8:30 I dont know who either of you are, I am a Diciple apart from the temple systems, homeless and with no head but my own headlessness.
This other guy isnt totally wrong.
He is just prideful so he isnt allowing himself to see his mistakes. Maybe, it seems.
    But, you know? He is the truth of that statement, the painfully hard to understand truth;
"The Lord, by his nature. Knows at the moment of creation who will rise and who will fall because by his nature he is also at the end.
The Lord, by his nature. Had to begin, knowing personally. Who and how many, and why. So, by the nature and law of things. God, is in mourning for what he has done.
Knowing, ultimately it is a must-be-done as it is also inevitable and the only self-completed solution is completions by prophesy".
Aint it wierd how even After Jesus, the Father is like, "Im still claiming the Jews. Try and stop me, I declare against my own oaths, I will, claim my tribes despite all wisdom". Almost like, we are using loopholes alot here in the final ages. So, I wonder. What is, "Eternal Suffering in a Super Massive Blackhole". Is Hell and eternal suffering, _Actually_ eternal.
Or is eternal damnation just slightly less eternally eternal than God's more perfect eternal love!?"

Because I am neither a Christian, Nor a Church. I am a Disciple and of the Body, who generally speaking,
I's is kept apart and on the fringes of what is considered safe for knoweldge. As a tool bag. 🤓
WHY?! Do I play such a bold and mightily strange gambit? Marrying what is clearly a wisdom unbelievable with a reasoning unfathomable!?
    I liken it to Wizardry, which is not Sorcery but a Spirit Science like Math, but it is actually Litterally Called Kabalaa and I never studied that;
I basically never studied, anything. Except General Knowledge, Bible, and Culinary Arts and Bushcraft.

I also begged to be like specific individuals, Namely Importantly?
Solomon, Isiah, Jeremiah, Sampson, Barnabus, and Timmy.
I also now ask for Peter's Seat, to what actually might be an annoying degree, though is is largely teasing.
The Reason it has to be as it is is so that by the end, the pastor and I can nod as Equal-but-not-evenly-Yolked Though, evenly distributed Collueges and Brothers.
It throws of everything below Prophet and The Minister Specifically so, i never really ever end up saying anything to the wrong people.
By now the general population has discredited me and moved on.

Jesus calls some goats & some sheep & he laid His life down for His sheep. There are those who were given to Him by His Father before the foundation of the world & they come by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit (not by debt but by God’s Grace - He is free to love the entire creation, and love His people in it enough to actually, effectively call and save them. The others He still owes no Grace & can leave them in their fallen state, according to His pleasure - not worldly wicked unsaved people who feel they are entitled. This is simple stuff - if you abandon all notions of God owing several people salvation simply because He elected to ensure at least one person gets saved without fail.
Jesus didn’t love His people enough to provide a “possible” way - He did EVERYTHING to guarantee His Sheep actually ARE fully and completely saved. He loved the World of His sheep & of those, because of Him - not the sheep, He will lose NONE.

Gods desire is now and has always been to redeem all of mankind, he desires that no one would perish. The tragic truth is the vast majority of humanity will perish because they're deceived and for the most part want to depend upon their own righteousness rather that call upon Jesus Christ.

For God So Loved the World
16 “For God so loved the world,[a] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

Romans 1: 7 To all who are in Rome loved by God called to be saints.
So that means some in Rome He did not love. It also means those He loved became saints, an effectual call.
john 3:16 does not say "God loved the world so much... " This is a indicative statement and it means "this is HOW God loves the world"
The end of the verse is also indicative and says " all the believing ones will be saved"
These are not imperative commands so I will link a short video to explain John 3:16 properly. It is so true that all the anti calvinists just throw a couple verses out with no context or proper hermeneutics applied.

Hey man good presentation. I do understand Paul washers position and I think you're kind of talking passed each other he meant to say that men on their own without the aid of the Holy Spirit don't come to Christ.
And that's true the scripture says our flesh is at enmity with God and cannot be made conformable to God's ways.
In that quote of the interview that was shot with somebody's phone or whatnot he just wasn't saying what he said and many other places.
To be careful not to judge people in off the cuff comments that are either taken out of context or not the complete teaching that they represent I've watched enough of Paul to know that that's what he has said in other places in would say if you were to question him directly.
I don't think what he says the position he holds is opposite of what you said about god-loving the whole world but God loving the whole world does not mean that the world loves him back reciprocally.
So we have it both and not in either or am I pray that we would all be showing the world a loving side of Christ by not condemning without Mercy or showing Mercy in an unbiblical way where God ends up being the excuse of those who are unrepentantly guilty.
I'm not saying you're doing that Brother but that we need to be lovingly accurate about what the other one is saying.
I've kind of gotten beyond the whole calvinist Arminian debate.
I truly believe that both positions are right in what they affirm & wrong in what they deny.
Have you considered that possibility ?

Arminians believe you must maintain works, or salvation can be lost. We love the people who believe this, but we reject such teaching.
Calvinists believe God forces His hand by picking some to go to hell and some to go to heaven. They also believe works are evidence of salvation. Again, we love these people, but we reject that position.
Washer said exactly what he believes. We love him as a person for whom Christ died, but we fully reject that position. Paul said to let those who preach a false gospel be “accursed.” Gal. 1:8-9

Seems you're agreeing with Paul Washer, but sticking to it's all man's choice. It's very hard to comprehend, because i too struggle a lot with it.
But as you said and wholly agree, is that without the Holy Spirit (1/3 of the triune God) acting in your life you can't come to God. And that's why dead men can't save themselves and we are dead in our sin until God works in our lives through the Holy Spirit.
So, it seems you're arguing against Paul, but stating many of his points.
I, like you, believe men have that choice.... But without God first acting and drawing us through the Holy Spirit, we stand against Him and are pure evil. (Paul's point)
So you're arguing point 2 in the process while Paul is talking about point 1.
And to all my brothers calling Paul Washer a false teacher, please watch your hearts. It's what comes out of a man that defiles him (Matt 15:11)..... they honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me (Matt 15:8)
Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? (Matt 7:22) do not be against the work of the Lord as you yourselves are creating division in the body of Christ.
Mark 9:38-40... Do not stop him, for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able to soon afterward to speak evil of me
And as Paul (the apostle) wrote in 1 Cor 3:4-9 regarding i follow Paul, i follow Apollos.... You follow neither, you follow Christ, they are the servants through whom you believed.
Stop picking fights with Christians who believe the true gospel and preach Repentance, and seek with all discernment the wolves in sheeps clothing, trying to destroy them bride of Christ, and that is NOT Paul Washer, definitely not in the clip used.

Yes, but God did NOT love every human being with a "redemptive" love. If he did love everyone that way, then everyone would go to heaven. "...thou shall call his name Jesus, for he shall save HIS people from there sins" Matt 1:21. Not Everyone! So the verses that you quote, though they are absolutely true, are ONLY referring to the ones that GOD has saved from the foundation of the world. Redemptively, it does NOT apply to the rest Listen very carefully to Christ's prayer to the Father in Rev 17, before his crucifixion. He says, he prays" NOT for the world, but for them that God has given to him." Read it! And know the God means business when he says it! Listen to God when he describes OUR hearts as, "deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked." Jer 17:9 . Listen also, how God describes us before conversion, and read Mark 7:21-23. So we are, by nature wicked people not because Washer said it, but because God says it! Still don't believe it? Then you have NO intention in listening to God and I feel sorry for you.

Yes, He shall “save his people.” Unsaved people aren’t saved. The reason they aren’t saved isn’t because God didn’t love them. He does - John 3:16. He didn’t come to condemn them - John 3:17 - but he came to save them too. It’s just that they will go to hell for one reason - they didn’t believe in Him - John 3:18.

@BibleLine @BibleLine People will come under the wrath of God because they were not elected by God, not because they didn't believe or accept. The bible is clear that there is none that seeketh him, there is none righteous, no not one. An unsaved person is DEAD in trespasses and sins, and he could never know God in a way that's pleasing to God. The reason Christ didn't come to condemn is because the entire human race is already condemned. If God's will was to save everyone, then everyone would be saved. Salvation is independent of your will. We are condemned at the moment of conception. That's why an infant with no knowledge of salvation is still in trouble with God and needs to be saved of God. After all, they could die as an infant and would need their sins paid for as well. Right there should show you that it's NOT our desire for salvation that saves us. But if you believe in man's free will, as many do, you would never hear this message.
