  • Is Young Don correct in his assessment of the free grace teaching regarding salvation? Pastor Jesse uses scripture to give a defense of the truth. This is not to degrade the man, but we desire to point out the flaw in his teaching

The problem is the name of the doctrine. Free Grace. Sounds good. The problem lies in the Free Grace teachers, they teach that sin is ok. They teach preterism. They teach all sorts of heretical doctrines that attach to their version of Free Grace.
It lies in an old movement from the 17th century called antinomianism, means without law. Let me remind you, a worker of iniquity means to be a worker of sin. Anyone who sins fully willingly belongs to Satan. Sin is transgression of the law. We know the works of the flesh.
The people who stand out against Free Grace doctrine do not disagree that grace is free. They disagree with all the extra doctrines that seduce people to live in sin while confessing Christ.
Every Free Grace teacher I've seen has their own flavor of teaching. There isn't any consistency from teacher to teacher.

    • @Livingingrace
      @Livingingrace 3 месяца назад +1

@@Trivdgun- you should search out J.B. Hixson, Dennis Rokser, Charlie Bing and others. None teach that sin is okay. Paid for fully by Christ yes. Destructive to one's life yes also. I've never heard any serious free grace pastor or teacher say sin is okay.
Every person sins willfully when they sin. Be it mental or physical sin. That's called walking in the flesh and not walking in the Spirit. Anytime one gives in to their flesh big or small it is their sin nature being manifested.. That's every person on the planet saved or lost.

Free Grace is the true gospel and the purest form of Christianity. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved - period.

    • @DynamicGracer
      @DynamicGracer 3 месяца назад

I used to call it pure as well
But it’s just watered down lol
It’s incomplete and immature (and wrong)
      It’s amazing and ear tickling
It’s better than nothing I guess
But it’s shallow and requires the believer to discard most of the scriptures

    • @BibleLine
      @BibleLine  3 месяца назад +3

It’s only shallow if the believer doesn’t demonstrate his life according to the call in Romans 6, 1 Cor. 3, James 2, 1 Peter 1 or John 8. We absolutely are called to “go and sin no more.”
It’s just that we aren’t saved, kept saved or proven saved by the fact that we try to “go and sin no more.” That’s for our daily practical sanctification. That is a battle.
The battle for our eternal destination, on the other hand, has already been achieved by Jesus Christ. The “FREE” part of free grace is that all the individual need do to be saved is believe in Jesus Christ.
Every part of his walk (minus the continual grace of the Lord) thereafter requires effort, works, prayer, determination. It doesn’t come free.
If the believer is 10% one day or 90% faithful another day, it doesn’t change his salvation status. It just means he’s sloppy, struggling in sin, or something of the sort.

I honestly think that for many people, it's a matter of pride. They feel like they should have some say in whether they are saved or not. Not everyone, but many. For me, I used to know I was saved because I believed. In my mind I looked around at the world and I saw 2 kinds of people, those who believed and those who didn't. To me, that made sense. The very fact that I believed and had faith and was saved because of that made sense. I didn't even realize the bible says that as I was probably in my teens and didn't read much of the bible other than what I heard at church. But then, some years later, I heard a man on youtube say "it is not by faith alone. It takes more than faith to be saved." And suddenly, I was filled with anxiety and dread. I was deceived, and because I hadn't done much bible reading for myself, I was deceived quite easily.
After some time, I found your channel and would listen. I thought "he sounds so convinced and convincing, but it just sounds too easy and I had always been told by that guy and many others that if it seems too easy, it's not biblical. That's how they trick you. I later discovered he was a calvinist, as were the others. Eventually I became so filled with anxiety and confusion that I broke. I finally gave up trying because I just realized that there was no possible way for me to talk God into saving me, let alone pleasing him enough to get saved. That's when it all made sense to me and became as clear as day. It has to be faith in christ alone because we do not deserve salvation. Nor can we earn it.

I am always astonished how the works salvationists are always quick to condemn carnal sins, but they completely ignore the white collar sins of self-righteousness and religious pride that they are guilty of themselves. They ignore the tension in the Bible between the self-righteous Jewish religious leaders that led to His brutal torture and murder and Jesus with His mission to save all those who simply believe in Him.

If you fall short, pick up the bootstraps and change your mind. Our light in thus life will only shine brighter if we walk / abide in Jesus. 99.9 % of world religions require works. Its just very dufficult for man to accept that Jesys gave us a free gift. No one enters heaven unless he does the will of the father. That, as described by Jesus himself us to see the Son and BELIEVE on him whom the Father sent. What do we believe? 1 Corinthians 15 1-4 the Gospel! Another point: you cant have any assurance with works based logic. Abraham believed God, and it was RECKONED to him for richeousness positionally. When Abraham followed what God told him to do (Isaac), he was justified for all to see (James). This is bringing us on to perfection. Failing to abide in him and showing our christian faith (dead faithhaving respection of persons in this life) stunts our spiritual growth, can promote divine chastisement, and is useless to the world. If we let our light shine/ walk in the light (as he is in the light), the blood of Christ cleanses us of all sin. Discipleship is costly, salvation is free

A lot of people don’t understand that when we get saved that it’s our soul that is saved, our body isn’t. That’s why we struggle with sin. Paul says in Romans 7:23-25 “But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” Our body gets saved when the Rapture occurs. Romans 8:23 “And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.” But we should still make an attempt to not sin and live as Holy for the Lord as we can. That has nothing to do with salvation. Salvation is like birth, once it occurs, you’re in the family of God.

@VoVina111 did you not watch the video? The Bible clearly teaches against those things and any good Bible preaching pastor would teach against those things as well. But the Bible also has many clear passages on how to recieve eternal life to be saved. Acts 16:31, John 6:47, John 5:24, John 3:16 and many others.
And as for being saved and living a horrible lifestyle, here is what the scriptures have to say about that
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: that as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
      Romans 5:20‭-‬21 KJV
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? GOD FORBID. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

I totally believe that. Jesus said, Matthew 15:17 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.” Every sin committed, past present and future was paid for through Jesus’ sacrifice on the alter of the cross. Even for the unsaved people, which is why all they have to do to is Romans 10:9-10” That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Jesus literally did it all. No religion required.

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe-and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made [d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was [e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

He was quite humble, the very opposite of how he is now as one can see when he speaks. He entertained many different beliefs on his channel and after he had a so called Messianic Jew he very shortly afterwards began to change to a works based mindset to include going and getting physically circumcised when he himself told others of.
If he ever once truly believed what he first preached he is saved but so very much bewitched by the Galatian spirit of self righteousness. His decline happened so fast and so hard it was sad to see.

I think she is born again, she is just confusing her salvation with sanctification. I went through her same experience & was tempted to draw the same conclusion “I must not have really been born again back when I only believed on Jesus because surrendering everything to Him brings so much joy & peace like I never had before.” This is what brought me to do a deep study on “lordship salvation vs free grace” to determine if I was indeed born again by believing on Jesus or not until I surrendered everything to Him or “made Him Lord of my life & not just Lord of my salvation.”
Young Don & Mikayla would be correct if they simply changed their message from “do this to be saved” to “do this to experience the fullness of your salvation” or “to mature into salvation.” Both of them are confusing their growth in Christ with salvation. They themselves will admit it took them years to get to this place of sanctification & Mikayla even says “it could take you years to be born again.” It’s just sad that they haven’t realized the error of thinking this way, but I sympathize with them because I could have easily come to that same conclusion if I did not stick to God’s word over my experience.

      About that narrow way:
"Be glad, thou thirsty desert: let the wilderness exult, and flower as the lily. And the desert places of Jordan shall blossom and rejoice; the glory of Libanus has been given to it, and the honour of Carmel; and my people shall see the glory of the Lord, and the majesty of God.
Be strong, ye relaxed hands and palsied knees. Comfort one another, ye fainthearted; be strong, fear not; behold, our God renders judgement, and he will render it; he will come and save us. Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall hear. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the stammerers shall speak plainly; for water has burst forth in the desert, and a channel of water in a thirsty land. And the dry land shall become pools, and a fountain of water shall be poured into the thirsty land; there shall there be a joy of birds, ready habitations and marshes.
There shall be there a pure way, and it shall be called a holy way; and there shall not pass by there any unclean person, neither shall there be there an unclean way; but the dispersed shall walk on it, and they shall not go astray. And there shall be no lion there, neither shall any evil beast go up upon it, nor at all be found there; but the redeemed and gathered on the Lord's behalf, shall walk in it, and shall return, and come to Sion with joy, and everlasting joy shall be over their head; for on their head shall be praise and exultation, and joy shall take possession of them: sorrow and pain, and groaning have fled away."
      (Isaiah 35, Brenton Translation)
Jesus is the way through which people recieved their sight and the deaf's ears were opened and the lame were healed back on their feet and the mute ran praising God once healed. And it happened as Jesus himself told them; "According as you believe, so be it done for you. Go in Peace, your faith has saved you.", etc.
We walk down this Holy road, which is Jesus, though the foot-steps of the faith of Abraham, trusting that what God has promised (forgiveness, justification, resurrection and eternal life in a renewed world ahead) he will also give freely through Jesus Christ.

Let me showcase a believer committing a sin and then being condemned by Peter.
Acts 5:1-11 - But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
People like Don who teach this way always fail to see that even one tiny lie will not enter the gates of heaven.
    Rev 21:27
And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
They also seem to selectively forget.
    1st John
“IF WE SAY THAT WE HAVE NO SIN, WE DECIEVE OURSELVES, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN US.”
(notice one of the greatest Apostles of all time included himself in having sin in his life)
Solution to the above two passages...
2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
The only righteousness that will be accepted for entry into heaven is the perfect righteousness of Christ and it is given to us at the moment of belief.

As Christians we are called to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord. In the book of Hebrews Chapter 12:15 it talks about the possibility of a person failing the grace of God . That's in the KJV version. In the Geneva Bible it says fall away instead of fail the grace of God. Hebrews 5:9 talks about Jesus saves those who obey him. After a person is in Christ they can be taken out if they do not bear fruit. John Chapter 15 makes this very clear.

So according to Young Don, the thief on the cross wasn’t truly saved. I guess when he begged Jesus to “Remember him” as he enters his Kingdom, Jesus lied to his face when he said “Amen I tell you, on this day you shall be with me in Paradise”.
If there wasn’t a more glaring example that salvation is by pure faith in Christ, it’s the thief on the Cross. He had ZERO works to prove he was saved. Was mere moments from slipping away into oblivion, and he saw Jesus as his only chance. He took it by humbling himself and begging to be remembered. The thought of being allowed into heaven never crossed his mind because of how horribly distraught he was over his own sin.
And what did Jesus do? He HONORED his faith by granting him eternal life, THEN and THERE!!! No works, no baptism, no fleshly evidence, just pure faith.

As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”“

Good message! By young don's standard of "fruit-inspection" Mormons and the Jehovah's Witnesses are believers. I feel so bad for Christians who are trapped in a system which "adds" work to the mix for salvation. After 40 years ministering in the body of Christ and discipling Christians I have never once seen any of them think that any of the things young don has enumerated are things that are beneficial and okay for them to engage in. The problem with what people think about "free grace" is that they fail to see the remainder of the teaching. Discipleship is necessary and if any Christian believes that he can sin with abandonment without bringing upon Himself the discipline of the Lord, he is sadly mistaken.
Also, if there ever was a church that was in danger of losing their salvation it was the Corinthian church. Never once does Paul tell them their in danger of losing their salvation. He calls them saints and beloved, but yet some of them were still carnal walking in their flesh. He also shows us the discipline of the Lord coming upon some of them with weakness, sickness and death because of their sinful actions surrounding the Lord's supper.
Jesus doesn't tell us to "try" not to sin. Jesus tells us to remain intimately connected to Him...to abide in Him. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is exactly the fruit of the Holy Spirit. We run into problems when we try in our flesh to produce His fruit which He works out in our lives. When we "try" to live the Christian life in our "flesh" we are doomed to failure because if it could be done by us then the Spirit of God wouldn't need to do it. Our job is to walk in the Spirit...to be led by the Spirit and our new man can do that. Sadly to me, lordship salvation teaches people to do the work of God in the sinful flesh. God isn't impressed with fake fruit.

In Christ alone our hope is found. Only through Him we have peace with GOD and made in right standing. The Christian life is dependency on Christ.

But as we grow closer to the rapture/tribulation/& the Lords coming....We are going to see more and more of a false gospel of faith plus works as a requirement of salvation which the bible doesn't teach. & by the way this rejects what Jesus did on the cross not only to save you from all your sins.... You are rejecting the Blood of Christ Jesus to be the only pure thing to purchase back humanity and Christ Jesus Righteousness the only pure Lamb of God who accomplished such a task.... read Romans 3:21-26.....

But they’re still saved because they have been born again. And btw, we all live in sin everyday. The amount of sins isn’t the issue. Just one single sin means we’re “living in sin” because it only takes one sin to send someone to Hell.

@@WhatGodDoeth We don’t earn salvation by living a new lifestyle. Nor is it proof of one’s genuine belief in Jesus. There are many lost people who live holier lives than many believers but they’re not saved. Because they haven’t BELIEVED in Jesus as their savior. I’m not advocating for sin. But to say a person is REALLY SAVED because of how they’re living their lives is heresy. You’re saying that a person’s works gets them to heaven. Bottom line. The reason why believers should live holy lives is because they love God. Not to prove they’re saved. A person is SAVED the moment they put their trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross as the payment for their sins. Nothing else will get a person to heaven. Living a good life is NOT evidence of salvation because like I said, a saved person can live like a lost man and vice versa.

@@HarpsDad22 what do I mean if we have faith in god, then we will listen to his guidance, he will always guide us to be in his will. So every time we are not listening to him, we are hardening our hearts, we start to fall out of faith, we might still have some faith, but at some point, that we do not know, our hearts may be hardened. There's plenty of biblical evidence of that happening, although everyone makes excuses as if it doesn't exist, there's plenty of examples of that happening in real life and then more excuses oh they didn't really believe, yes they did people really do believe and then fall out of faith. And this is why the Bible continually tells us to keep his commandments, straight through revelation, it keeps telling us how to live as a christian, we have to persevere in faith because Faith falls on us, that is how we call Labor with christ, he does all the actual Salvation Army work bringing us to the promised land, but we have to have faith in his work and if we have faith that we will do what he tells us to do.

I see what you’re saying. The problem is that Paul clearly details two natures. Romans 7 shows his struggle between the two, and Galatians 5 commands is to walk in one rather than the other.
Fleshly living is commanded against in Romans 6.
John also writes in 1 John explaining this relationship. It’s possible for the believer to sin (2:1-2, 2:15-17) in his flesh.
Peter references the corruption of the flesh being present in believers in his letters. Hence the commands to abstain from certain practices in light of the persecution.
James writes regarding believers being utterly hypocritical by lifting up the rich over the poor. The scolding is quite severe.
Jesus references the flesh and Spirit in John 3. These are two “births.” You possess both. You do not get your first birth (flesh) changed just because you receive the spirit birth. They are both present in the believer. This is why living in sin is possible, but it is utterly commanded against.

grace folks believe it doesn't matter.
Now I know where you are coming from. faith alone saves. But genuine faith results in a changed life. Good works do not "keep" you saved, but are evidence that
your faith is real. If I see a new convert who has no interest at all in following the Lord in baptism, little interest in opening a Bible or attending church....I will
question whether the faith of that "believer" is genuine.
Having said that...God is their judge, not me. It then becomes a question of how much "works" and for how long? I like the illustration of a row of planted fruit seeds.
Each sprouts and grows individually, some fast and healthy, bearing much fruit....others barely breaking the surface stunted and withering.
But the SEED (Christ) is the same for all.
Moments after I accepted Christ as my Savior I KNEW I needed to be baptized. I didn't even know why.
I also knew I should begin attending services..in fact I wanted to do both, and to learn scripture. These are changes that come from the inside, through the Spirit.

Responding to the false teaching of Young Don Reborn, @BibleLine Pastor Jesse Martinez has clearly shown the Bible’s teaching on how a person receives eternal life only BELIEVING IN JESUS CHRIST and His finished work of shedding his blood on the cross, and NOT BY TRUSTING ONE’S OWN WORKS. In the New Testament book of Galatians, the Apostle Paul made it clear that adding works to faith for eternal justification and eternal life is a DIFFERENT “gospel” which is NOT really “good news” (the literal meaning of “gospel”).
    >>>“…a person is NOT JUSTIFIED BY THE WORKS of the law, but by FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by FAITH in Christ and NOT BY THE WORKS of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified. … I do not set aside the GRACE of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” -Galatians 2:15-16, 21
When the Galatians started following a false teacher who urged them to add works to their faith, the Apostle Paul condemned that teaching as a “different gospel, which is not another.”:
    >>>“I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to A DIFFERENT GOSPEL, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to PERVERT THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, LET HIM BE ACCURSED. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches ANY OTHER GOSPEL to you than what you have received, let him be ACCURSED.” -Galatians 1:6-9
Jesus Christ and His Apostles clearly taught in the Bible that eternal life is only available to those who BELIEVE in Him without adding their own deeds:
    >>>“Therefore they said to Him, ‘What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?’ Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you BELIEVE IN HIM whom He has sent.’” -John 6:28-29
    >>>Jesus said: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who BELIEVES IN ME has everlasting life..” - John 6:47
    >>>“For we maintain that a man is justified by FAITH APART FROM WORKS of the Law.” -Romans 3:28
    >>>“But we are all like an unclean thing, And ALL OUR RIGHTEOUSNESSES are like FILTHY RAGS; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.” -Isaiah 64:6
Contrary to Young Don Reborn’s false teaching, receiving eternal life does NOT require GOOD WORKS of following Jesus over time. Instead, Jesus taught that once a person BELIEVES IN HIM for eternal life, one has permanently passed from death into eternal life that can never be lost.
    >>>“…he who hears My word and BELIEVES IN HIM who sent Me HAS EVERLASTING LIFE, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” -John 5:24
The verb translated in English as“HAS PASSED” is μεταβεβηκεν which is in the perfect tense active indicative (third person singular-see biblehub.com/lexicon/john/5-24.htm). The perfect verb tense in NT Greek connotes a one time action with continuing results. “If you remember that the meaning of the word perfect is complete, then you can remember that the perfect tense has to do with completed action. But the perfect tense is a primary tense because it emphasizes the present, or ongoing result of a completed action.” The third person singular makes clear that the person believing in Jesus is the personal recipient of the one time action with continuing results. Thus Jesus is making clear that the person who “believes in Him” as a one time action is the recipient of the continuing result of having “passed from death into life.”
In fact, as Pastor Jesse Martinez correctly points out, the Bible clearly teaches that ADDING your own payment of good works to Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for us is actually rejecting God’s offer of the FREE GIFT of forgiveness and eternal life. What you pay for is not really a gift. We must trust ONLY in Jesus Christ’s perfect sacrifice for us.
    >>>“For if Abraham was justified by WORKS, he has something to BOAST about, but not before God. For what does Scripture say? ‘Abraham BELIEVED GOD, and it was credited to him as righteousness.’ Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but BELIEVES IN HIM who justifies the ungodly, his FAITH is credited as righteousness, just as David speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness APART FROM WORKS.” -Romans 4:2-6
    >>>“But if it is by GRACE, it is no longer on the basis of WORKS, otherwise grace is no longer grace.” -Romans 11:6
Eternal life is a FREE GIFT received only by grace through belief in Jesus Christ:
    >>>Jesus Christ said, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVES IN HIM shall not perish, but have ETERNAL LIFE.” -John 3:16
    >>>Jesus Christ “… was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification.” -Romans 4:25
    >>>“For the wages of sin is death, but the FREE GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord.” -Romans 6:23
    >>>“For by GRACE you have been saved through FAITH, and that not of yourselves; it is the GIFT of God, NOT AS A RESULT OF WORKS, so that no one may boast.” -Ephesians 2:8-9
The Bible warns us to be alert to FALSE TEACHERS:
    >>>“I know that after my departure SAVAGE WOLVES WILL COME in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore BE ON THE ALERT, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears.”-Acts 20:29-31
    >>>“But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will [a]fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and DOCTRINES OF DEMONS, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron” -1 Timothy 4:1-2
    >>>“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be FALSE TEACHERS among you, who will secretly introduce DESTRUCTIVE HERESIES, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.” -2 Peter 2:1
    >>>“BEWARE OF THE FALSE PROPHETS, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” -Matthew 7:15
The Bible makes it clear that we are to AVOID, NOT GREET, and HAVE NO FELLOWSHIP with teachers of a false gospel which is one type of false doctrine.
    >>>“Now I urge you, brethren, note THOSE WHO CAUSE DIVISIONS and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and AVOID THEM. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.” -Romans 16:17-18
    >>>“Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, DO NOT RECEIVE HIM into your house NOR GREET HIM; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.” -2 John 9-11
    >>>“And HAVE NO FELLOWSHIP with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” -Ephesians 5:11
This BibleLine video is soundly Biblical and very needed today to correct pervasive false teaching with Scripture itself!
If you have never placed your faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross ALONE, without trusting your own works, I encourage you to do so today!
Grace and Peace through our Lord Jesus Christ,
    Bible Professor Al, Ph.D., Th.D.

Jesse, When it comes to my understanding of the conflict between lordship salvation and free grace theology it is not about your performance contributing to you getting and staying saved but rather it is about whether or not your faith at the moment of salvation qualified as a genuine salvation producing faith. It is not faith plus repentance from sin that saves. The question that needs to be dealt with is can a faith that does not produce repentance of sin qualify as a genuine salvation producing faith? If at conversion the quality of your faith is such that you believe in what Jesus did and you want to receive Jesus and remain just as sinful as ever with no intentions or desire to turn from your sins then does your faith actually qualify as genuine salvation producing faith? Genuine faith produces certain things that do not contribute to you getting or staying saved. If that faith is not the kind of faith that produces those things that do not contribute to your getting or staying saved then is that faith a genuine saving faith? What genuine faith produces in your life simply testifies to whether or not your faith is genuine or not. Bear in mind that both the advocates of free grace theology and lordship salvation teach the eternal security doctrine and that you cannot earn salvation either at the moment of receiving salvation or from that moment onward. Now I have never heard of the speaker that you feature and do not know if he truly has the qualifications needed to accurately articulate his own theology. The advocates of lordship salvation that I have heard affirm that our performance does not contribute to our getting and staying saved.

I understand your explanation, and I thank you for the cordiality.
The main problem I see is that you’re adding a word to faith that should not be; “genuine.”
Jesus did not tell Nicodemus to have “genuine” faith that is faith in Christ and evidences itself in works/fruit.
He simply told Nicodemus to believe in the Son whom God gave (3:15-16 of John).
It is great that Nicodemus actually continued serving and following, but this is not a testament to his salvation. It is rather a testament to his continued obedience and faithful lifestyle.
You and I may look at Nicodemus and say “Yeah, he’s a saved Christian following Jesus!” Because that’s what we see according to his outward obedience.
God looked at Nicodemus before any work, service, fruit, evidence or anything and justified him the moment he believed in the Son. Cf 5:10-13 of 1 John.

I saw this comment earlier today and it's terrifying me. I'm losing my mind about this kind of thing I don't know what to do.
Quote: "FYI, Galatians 2 is referring to Jewish Mosaic Law, not God's law. Galatians 5 also says we are saved by a faith that works through love. That is the only true faith. All other faith is counterfeit. Unfortunately, the "proof" texts to support free grace theology has many flaws. Gal. 6 plainly says believers will reap ETERNAL LIFE if we faint not. this goes hand in hand with Matt. 10:22 that says he that endures to the end shall be saved. Plain and simple.
All over The Bible, both Old and New Testament, salvation is conditional on remaining faithful to God. 1 john 2: 24-25 even lays out the condition for final salvation being that we remain in Christ. We also see in 1 Peter 1: 5 we are kept by the power of God through Faith (present continual tense in Greek). If free grace theology was correct, 1 Peter 1:5 would say we are kept by the power of God through grace, since continued faith would not matter in regard to justification. After all, it would be God's grace keeping us, not faith. Also, if it is "all of grace", as free grace proponents say, then we can thereby fall from grace, since Galatians 5 says anyone seeking to be justified by the law (who are true believers according to verse 1) is fallen from grace. If we can't fall from grace, then this passage becomes null and void. Some try to argue that these were "false converts", but, we clearly see in verse one that we stand in the liberty that Christ made US FREE. As such, Paul is clearly referring to true believers. And, since we are saved by grace, we can thereby fall from that grace.
And, why would Christ say he would not "blot out" believers names from the Book of Life (Rev. 3:5) if he couldn't? The answer is because He can. We also see Jesus says in Rev. 2: 10 "be FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH and I will give thee a crown of life." So, to have faith in the Bible means to be faithful to Christ. We see the word Lord used over 700 times in the New Testament to refer to Christ! However, free grace theology promotes Jesus as Savior without demanding He also be Lord. If free grace theology were correct, we would not need Heb. 5: 9 that says Jesus was made the author or eternal life for all who OBEY Him. According to free grace, that verse should actually read Jesus became the author of eternal life for all those who believed in Him" And I specify past tense believed because according to free grace theology your continual faith ultimately does not matter in regard to salvation, as long as at one time someone "believed"...... These are the things free grace actually teaches!
Lastly, the "carnal" Christian is an immature Christian, according to 1 Cor. 3, not a reprobate. In 1 Cor. 6, Paul clearly states that those (talking to believers) who practice adultery, fornication, idolatry, murder, homosexuality will not inherit the Kingdom of God. HUGE difference between the "carnal" Christians of 1 Cor. 3 and the complete reprobates in the local churches in ch. 6. These 2 are not to be blended as being one and the same, and that they are all saved!
In short, free grace theology is a cult with a false view of salvation." :End Quote.
I don't know how to answer arguments like this. I'm struggling with sin right now and I'm terrified of so much as going outside lest I just trip and break my neck and passing away and go to hell. Please, can anyone help me?
Especially that bit about being blotted out of the book of life in revelation. Please, someone tell me...is this true? I don't understand.

My friend the problem with sin is that it brings eternal death that will be thrown in hell one day. & the bible teaches we have all sinned and come short of Gods glory. Rom 3:23 So it's not a question that if you sinned a lot or a little or if you stop sinning... God demands 100% perfection to get into heaven and that's why the bible teaches that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Cor 5:21
Are you beginning to understand that only Jesus can make you righteous or in other words right with God...
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
      21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
      23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
      25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
      Romans 3:20-26
      My friend in short...
      Jesus and His Word teach...
You are saved by faith and not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9).
All who rely on observing the law (commandments) as a requirement for salvation are under a curse (Galatians 3:10).
Salvation occurs at the moment you believe the Gospel
.....How that Christ died for our sins, was buried & rose again 3rd day.....
(Jesus made himself the substitute for our sins & our sins are dead & buried & forgiven / He rose the 3rd day as proof that God the Father accepted Jesus shed blood as the once and final payment for our sins ) Your eternal sin record was wiped clean the moment you believed on Jesus finished work.
      (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 / Ephesians 1:13-14/ Hebrews 9:12-22 / Act 20:28/ Romans 3:20-26/ 2 Cor 5:21 / 2 Cor 5:21 Colossians 2:13-15).
      Jesus purifies sin (Hebrews 1:3).
You can know for sure you are saved (1 John 5:13).
The sacrifice of Jesus is finished (John 19:30).
Believe what the bible teaches not comments you read online..... Especially mine take all these verses and double and triple check them through the word of truth the King James Bible....

Young Don is himself a son of disobedience if he didn't put his faith on Jesus *_alone_* for his salvation. If he thinks his (self) "righteousness" is more than filthy rags, he is severely confused, which is not from God but from the pul-pit of hell. Young Don's preaching is a corrupt tree producing corrupted fruit, _100%._

Not exactly. This hyper-grace hersey has proven quite disastrous.
