    At first I loved Gel Couture, but after five or six consecutive applications…this colour…my nails began breaking and delaminating. Dazzle Dry has been a lifesaver! Thanks for your informative, fastidious, and very entertaining videos!

    Essie Gel Couture was my favorite polish before I tried Dazzle Dry. The dry time for Dazzle Dry is what wins it for me.

    Love these BOTB videos and would definitely watch the Essie Gel Couture 2 week wear test.

      I think I’m going to test it for 2 weeks on some willing clients now that I know that it lasts well at least a week :)

    I absolutely LOVE Essie Gel Couture, the ONLY polish that lasts on my hard nails without rubbing off at the ends - can actually get 7-9 days out of it. Unfortunately, they've stopped making the sheer French white I loved and now only offer ones with shimmer. It's also incredibly hard to find the polish in any color! When they first came out I purchased at Ulta, then Amazon until they started to arrive old and thick, switched to online CVS ordering but they're often out of stock in the other other colors I prefer. Anyway, I'm very excited to see the results of your test and have found two sheer whites on DD's site! Off to order a mini kit to try...

    I love these comparison videos. I think I would chose essie simply cause its available where I live. We don't get a lot of the newer brands of nail polish here. We really only have basics Revlon, Sally Hansen, OPI, Essie, Sinful Colours , Essence and Mavala. We do get Chanel and some Dior as well.

    The Essie Gel takes forever to dry on me. Bad enough to make me stop using it. ILNP is my current favorite.

    Does drazzle dry do a color like the essie like more of the red undertone but dark and vampy .

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife 2 года назад

      I wish. This is the closest to that dark red vampy color. There are 2 of these colors by Dazzle Dry: Pumped up Purple (almost like Lincoln Park in the Dark) and Forbidden Passion. This is more red but I wish if there was one leaning even more red.

    How does he get his polishes to wear so long?

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife 2 года назад +3

      Hi Ashley. I literally do nothing to make them last longer. I look at these videos are torture testing and treat them as such. House chores, weight training, occupation, etc. is done with no regards to what I have on my nails. I don't oil/moisturize more, wear gloves, or make any compensations to daily life to get better wear. - MSL

      Dazzle Dry, the wear of both was pretty close but the drying time is where Dazzle Dry really excelled and edged out Essie.
      Thanks! - MSL

      @@TheSalonLife I am so pissed I can't find dazzle dry in Europe. I don't know why, probably because Europe prefers gels over air drying polish? I am curious if there is any marketing report showing consumption rates in polish types throughout the world.

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife 11 месяцев назад

      Dazzle Dry is a small company that has grown quite a bit lately but they are still relatively small. Growing company is risky because it requires a lot of money to invest in a bigger production, hiring more people etc. Not everyone can do that and is willing to risk it.
      Exporting and shipping nail polish is extremely expensive (check out for yourself which companies allow shipping nail polish. Not many)
      It’s a difficult task.
      I understand their position deciding to stay small and local. Bigger isn’t always better
      Sucks for us (outside of USA) but you can’t make everyone happy. I respect that.

      Hey Carlos, I was very fortunate my co-workers were actually really good about the nail polish. The jokes/haggling that was done was never to harm, it was all in good fun. I'm not an easily offended person and can take jokes and haggling quite well. Hell, I'm just as good at dishing it back. :) Have yourself a great day Carlos! - MSL

      Essie Expressie compare to Essie Gel Couture? Or their gel polish (the LED cured one)? I know, confusing....
