Thank you for your videos! I recently bought Dazzle Dry and used your videos to determine which colors to purchase. Your channel was the only resource I could find with an accurate depiction of a wide variety of colors. I’d love to see 10 and 14 day wear as well. Dazzle Dry claims chip-free wear up to two weeks which I wasn’t quite able to achieve. Any recommendations for wrapping the edge on short nails would be appreciated too!
Thanks for this video! I’ve been wondering about wear time for Dazzle Dry 😄I’m a nurse, so any polish that will last on my nails longer than 2 shifts is desirable ☺️
Much appreciate these comparisons and I’m looking forward to the next rounds. It may be helpful to specify whether featured products are intended specifically for professional nail technicians vs direct-to-consumers. As an at-home amateur, I looked up the CND Vinylux no-light polish but the website seems to direct one to search for salons using the product as opposed to direct purchases. As always, thanks again for being so thorough!
Thank you for your comment. CND promotes salons but their polishes are available to consumers. Same with Dazzle Dry. Basically any nail polishes are available to public. Gel polish should be only used by trained professionals
The Salon Life Thanks so much for the follow-up. I’m in the US and just found it on Amazon but some polish is listed as “Longwearing” but others use the term “Weekly.” Do you know of specific formulae differences or is this a timing/marketing gimmick? So appreciate your expert perspective ☺️
thank you for these wonderful tips to polish. How long does your Vinylux last as far as shelf life. I find a busy season, it gets THICK within less than a year. I love the DD, I am going to try massage and oil at the end. Lifesaver and great tip!
With polishes it depends how often you open them and how clean the neck of the bottle is (so it doesn’t allow air). I find the old formula used to get lumpy. I haven’t noticed it with the new formula.
I was looking at the CND range but it's expensive. I bought Essie " Here to stay" basecoat, its thin but has very good adhesion of my Essie matte nail 💅 polish! Vast improvement in the nail tips, didn't chip as much! CND STICKEY basecoat is next but CND is expensive. Essie is a lot cheaper! UK 🇬🇧 20.3.24
I use the Seche thinner for mine. I have yet in life to find a topcoat like Seche that has that gorgeous thick fiberglass look and fast dry down that doesnt shrink. Have tried to make Seche work for decades as love how it is right after polish but always shrinks and pulls from the cuticle and free edge for me no matter how flawlessly I have done my nails, thin layers and all. Makes me feel mental when not a newbie with nails at all lol. Nothing on the market is as close in thickness and shine as I have tried it all aside from Vinyl Luxe. This topcoat isnt as thick and doesnt dey rock hard as fast but has great shine and the closet to Seche I will ever get without shrinkage which is why it has been my staple topcoat to date for regular non gel polish. Seche is a quality thinner so have had no issue using it with any top coat I have! :)
@@TheSalonLife Yellow approximately from the middle of the nail up the the free edge. I wear different colours (green, orange etc) and change them quite often, so I thought it's a mixture of pigments, but then I heard you speak about nitrocellulose being the culprit, and that could be my case, I suppose. Also, thank you for all you do on this channel, it's very helpful!
@@TheSalonLife I find the dynamic between you two really unique for a nail channel and your videos are so fun and cosy to watch. I also love how much you seem to take your viewers opinions into account for videos and how interactive you both are.
I'm left handed too and this world is made for right handed people so us leftys have to adjust and do most everything but write ✍ with our right hands it makes us be ambidextrous.... 😁I think it is much more versatile to be left handed
If the health of the natural nail is paramount I would suggest Dazzle Dry. Harder isn’t always better but yes, I found DD made my nails feel solid when I took my gel polish off. Now that my nails are all grown out I don’t feel any difference.
What brand/type of cotton wipes do you use for the removal? We have lint free (too thin) and pads (too thick) compared to what you are showing. I like your technique for removal and love your videos!
I use felt (like the 9x12 craft felt sheets) and cut it into 1-2 inch squares, and it is awesome for removal. I started doing it when textured polish was big, and it helps so much- i find it sets on the polished nail, and seems to "absorb" the polish that is softened w remover. I was amazed how well it worked! I buy white felt individual sheets at walmart - and they are very inexpensive. It usually takes one little square to remove all polish!
I got Essie nail polish because it a lot cheaper than CND, and you can buy a 5ml Essie polish and a 13.5ml polish, so you don't waste money! Essie is OK. The Essie topcoat and basecoat are good quality and economical! UK 🇬🇧 20.3.24
Not a lot of interest overall for Caption on my channel. the videos I did with it don’t have many views at all. Also my local supplier said it’s discontinued. Not sure if it’s discontinued overall or just there
@@TheSalonLife ok. Well I was curious about the drying time. As they say it is fast drying, I don't think it is at all. Unfortunately I cant buy dazzle dry in the NL so looking for other options
Just wanted to tell I appreciate your information I’m trying everything you recommend I have trashed nails from 25 years of all kinds of fake nails I’m in the hair business so that does not help
dazzle dry us too expensive. I kuvd the 10 application you did before very professional. But they say don't apply dry spray on infinite shine ladt 15 minutes drying time I applied 60 seconds dry drops, it helps to get rid of the tacky feeling. Thank you for review

i have found cnd vinylux at cvs stores in the US
Vinyl Luxe didn't stain the nail despite not having a basecoat! That's a plus!
Can u make universally flattering colors that complement most skin tones from CND vinylux you may own? Thanks, learning a lot from your videos.
Hi Mochabomb. Thank you for the suggestion :) - MSL
Thanks for this wonderful video. I always learn so much. When you explain as you go along.
Thanks so much! Great job!!
I loved this comparison. Thank you!!!

Thank you Shaye!! ❤️
Thank you so much for doing your videos, I have learned so much- and really appreciate it!!
Great video. Thank you for the comparison
I would love to know what thinner CND recommends for Vinylux!!
I’m curious too!! When their top coat gets thicker (like half way down) I get shrinking from free edges and borders. :(.

Thank you for your comment Teodora! ❤️
I learn so much from you thank you
Not sure this is a 100% fair comparison because dazzle dry is applied on a non-dominate hand (left) and CND on dominate hand (right).
He is left handed. But mostly ambidextrous
How do you keep nails from staining with darker colours? My nails stain like crazy despite base coat sometimes applied in two coats 🤨
Hi Yulia! Damaged nails stain more. Do yours stain whatever the polish color is or are they just yellow?

Well, 2/2.....I like your videos! Great advice, fun client! But you've gotta eat!
Dazzle dry makes my onion skin nails much harder and will even seal a split. Curious as to the strength of the vinylux

I find if you use the DD transform you get a 'plumper' look and it hides imperfections- I love transform and the DD system.
How about comparing Zoya with Dazzle Dry?
