I bought this product based on your review … so happy! I ended up buying multiple colours. Lived up to your review and I am hard on my nails. Thank you!!!
These look like wonderful nail polishes! I use colour on my toenails but only a clear nail varnish on my fingernails. How nice to have simple method that lasts so long.
I have exactly the same problems as you. If I get one day without chipping it's a win! I take all the preventative steps you do, wiping nails with nail polish remover etc, using base and top coats, nothing works 😡 The Essie gel couture polish and top coat is the best I've found, but still only one or two days with no chips. I'm really interested in trying vinylux after seeing your results. Wow four days would be a miracle for me! I find washing my hair chips my nail polish too - strange I know! Have you tried Dior nail glow? I've just got it and am really pleased. It just makes your nails look more pink and glossy but natural (supposed to make tips look whiter but I don't find that to be the case). I'm on day two, having applied two coats, and no chipping so far. It dries very quickly and is great if you just want your nails to look pink and healthy and you don't have the time for "proper" nail polish.
Another great video, I have a problem with nail varnish too! Love having them done at the salon, but it’s too expensive to keep up, my nails grow really fast as well. I’ve tried Sally Hanson miracle gel top coat with her miracle gel varnishes, they work quite well, but probably only last about 4 days, but at least they don’t smudge, as it dries fast. X
I've been really pleased with the Olive and June polishes. Beautiful bottles, great colors, perfect brush and the paint stays put for a surprising amount of time for a "regular" polish.
YES! I'm absolutely hooked and it was in my Fave Products of 2023 video. They don't ship outside the US (which sucks) but I do buy more very time I go home. LOVE
Not yet but it's now on the list! I did recently pick up Olive & June and I think it actually lasts a bit longer. I'm getting 4 days without any chipping. Hopefully Dazzle Dry fits the bill too!
Actually, I left o and j on too long and it started to chip but the non chipped areas I had a hard time removing it. I had to soak my nails in nail polish remover. After a week it's better to remove it. @SkinObsessedMary
hmmm.... I just went looking and it doesn't seem so. I don't like that at all. Another alternative - and a brand I'm using all the time now - is Olive & June, and they're definitely cruelty-free. Just did a review if you want to check it out bit.ly/3ACBqfs
I bought a bunch of CND polishes at CVS when they discontinued the line and they were half price. Now I wish I had bought more of them. I didn't realize that Vinylux was a "system." I just use them like any other polish: base coat, two coats of polish, top coat, quick-dry drops. I don't know what it is about my nails but polish seems to stay on them forever without chipping. After 7 days or so the color fades and looks dull, but no chips. I'm not easy on my nails either. I wash dishes and do normal housework. Sometimes I wear gloves and sometimes I dont. I always start my manicure with super clean dry nails. I dip them in alcohol and let that dry then base coat and so on. I faithfully use cuticle oil every night before sleep and follow that with extremely expensive Clarins hand cream. My manicures would probably last two weeks if I didn't get bored with the color. I think my secrets may be the alcohol which leaves the nails so clean that polishes stick nicely and the cuticle oil and hand cream at night.
@@SkinObsessedMary I keep a little jar of 91% rubbing alcohol. After removing my old polish and grooming by cuticles, I wash my hands then dip each fingernail into the jar of alcohol. I let them air dry, then quickly rinse in cold water and dry them thoroughly on a towel. Then start my manicure. It sounds more time consuming than it is. I always use base and top coat regardless of the polish formula so those steps may add to the longevity of my manicures. Try it and let me know if it works for you. Good luck! 😀
I love that you swear lol. Makes you so much more relatable and real 😂
Thank you! I've had quite a few people say the total opposite 😳
It's just the way I talk...

Geez, that's a great idea - not familiar with with nail glow. Have to check it out!

That's so funny...I just had an order delivered this week. Video coming soon!
Looking forward to it!
Mary, I know this video is old, but thought I’d comment anyway. Have you tried dazzle dry? It dries in 5 minutes, it’s amazing.

Have you tried Dazzle dry? I’ve seen some wear tests and they go pretty well! I haven’t had much luck with CND unfortunately

@@SkinObsessedMary oooooh I’ll have to try it out!! Thanks for the videos ❤️
Have you tried olive and june nail system?
Oh yes and I love it! I have quite a few colours. But then I discovered Dazzle Dry, which lasts even longer for me. Have you tried it?
@@SkinObsessedMary Yes, it lasted a week
@@tuggiei8375 is that better or worse in your opinion?

Thank you for sharing ❤
Thanks for watching!
This is a new brand to me, I checked their site and could not find an answer I searcing for. Do you know if this brand Vegan/Cruelty free?

This brand is used at the Royal Caribbean nail salon. Pretty good. Lasted about two weeks on hand and 5 weeks on toes.
That's the Shellac version right? I have it on now right now!
@@SkinObsessedMary Looking to purchase the base coat, top coat and the wine colored shellac. Too expensive to buy the blue light for drying.
The only problem with vinylux is the stain to the nail that never goes away so you have to continue wearing a strong colour to cover it
Or... you wear lighter colour enough it first. I figured that out after a while :)

That's so interesting. What do you mean you dip them in alcohol? Mine don't even last 24 hours 😣

@@AngelinaX23 wow that’s so interesting…the alcohol doesn’t dry the skin?
@@SkinObsessedMary No because the quick dry drops are slightly oily and I use cuticle oil at night and hand cream several times a day.
olive june good polish like brushes
They're fantastic! I did a video about them actually 😂
Woman to woman, you have beautiful lips!
Oh wow that’s so sweet - thank you ☺️
