    The fact that you do not upsell is a testimony for your credibility!! I have only ever had one professional manicure many years ago. The tech buffed all of my healthy nails before applying just regular nail polish. Within a week every one of my nails split, peeled or broke. I had never had this problem previously when doing my own manicure without buffing. I look after my nails using Anna's advice. What a difference you made to your client's nails, beautiful!!!

    Thank you for explaining that shrinkage with dazzle dry is likely caused by too thick of a top coat, I think that that's what caused mine because I really laid the top coat on thick last time! I'll go a little easier next time 🙂

    In regards to the butterfly removal and how the polish removes after being freshly applied compared to later on down the road, the product continues to cure over its wear time and “stiffens” which makes it bond to the keratin harder than freshly applied product

    • @TheSalonLife
      @TheSalonLife 9 месяцев назад +4

      So the actual bond changes or the structure of the product changes? Like it might be less porous? I wonder why does CND keep advertising the butterfly removal even though we can't expect this kind of removal after 2 weeks

    • @sydneyo.649
      @sydneyo.649 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@TheSalonLife from what I e understood in the education I’ve received from CND, the bond with the nail changed due to outside UV exposure from the sun and it really grips onto the keratin in the nails anyways. Plus if your client had the little keratin “fingers” sticking up from a prior application of Shellac it tends to intensify the adhesion (in my experience) and makes the removal a little harder and a little longer (still, in my experience). So, in short, I think the clients with surface damage get a better and worse adhesion of the product in terms of wear and removal, but this is all what I’ve experienced and talked to the educators at CND about, and I’ve been using the product for almost 10 years now.

    • @sydneyo.649
      @sydneyo.649 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@TheSalonLife I would also like to mention that even though you do get a full cure in the LED, it’s still possible that all of the photo initiators don’t fully cure into their tubular structure and with regular sun exposure it tends to cause them to adjust, I’m still not sure why, but don’t take this as a reason to over cure product, still follow manufacturer instructions, but it’s how it does, cause the gel color itself is porous until you apply the topcoat, so… I guess the porosity changes between the products, but regardless, we should still get what they advertise to us. (I’m sorry about nerding out, I could go on for days and days about product chemistry)

    I have yet to watch this video, this may sound weird but I wanted to know right at the very beginning of this video you showed us what the nails look like all pretty and painted. As we see each nail is on the finger itself not sticking off the finger or just barely off the finger. Is that from using the tool, pushing back the skin on each finger or is that from something else or just how your nails are all the time? I know this is weird me asking what may sound like a stupid question, just wish my nails were just like that.

    • @TheSalonLife

      Hello Olivia! Thank you for your question but I’m not sure I understand. The first second I show how the nails look after the manicure. Then “I go back in time” and remove the old Shellac that was coming off the nails. Then I do a manicure and then I paint the nails.
      Please let me know how and what else I can explain :)

    Hello there,
    I have been doing Gelish shellac for some time and two of my nails started to detach from the nail plate. Dermatologist overruled fungus or bacterial infection and I did nail scrub sample which isn’t yet ready. On one fb group people with similar experiences said that I have onycholysis and I shall cut it so my nail will grow normally. I would like to please share the photo with you and if possible have some advice what to do. It looks terrible for me and I need to find a solution to camouflage this nail because of work.
