I am a convert to DD too. After wearing dip nails for so many years and then not being able to go to salons during covid, I’m excited that DD is a solution. I too have found my nails getting stronger after getting so weak from dip applications. The system is very easy and following your tips has made my polish last 8-10 days. Now I have another tip to keeping the shine of the top coat last longer too. TFS!

This was very interesting to watch. Kristina, your nails have looked amazing for years. I had acrylics & gels for years when i was working. They pretty much ruined my nails but they have never been great nails. Very soft, peel & tear easy. Tried O&J from CZ & that worked for about 3 months. Then my nail tips wouldnt hold the polish like usual. This sounds great but i sure dont have your patience. I have purchased so many bottles of polish over the years & wound up throwing them away as i couldn’t use them up. Now i just keep my nails really short and oil them a lot. They never get strong & they dont grow that much. Dont like going to salons because of the products they use and the shortage of colors. So, i will just enjoy your nails in the videos.

When my nails are at their shortest, I don't worry about the free edge as much. However, after a week or so, your nails should have grown out the tiniest bit and you should be able to cap the free edge with polish at the next application. I find that having even just the littlest bit of growth gives me the space to cap the free edge. :)

    • @kwernerdesign

When you have this many layers, I find that it's rock hard solid at around 10 minutes. At 5 minutes I move on with my day, though. You'd have to really jam it into something to make the polish smudge or dent. With less layers, it's rock hard at 5 minutes.
