Chevrolet did a fantastic job in designing this 2nd gen traverse. Maintenance is user-friendly and very easy to gain access for no frill oil change. This is how a proper engine should've been built for maintenance. 2 thumbs up to the tech guy that design this engine layout. Everything was well thought out of the box. I just recently made a switch to the amsoil signature series, and the difference is huge. No more thermal down and less wear on the engine.
Based on the position of the drain plug would it have made sense to reverse into the drive way? I'm asking because I had someone ask me that. I guess they were thinking it would drain more that way?
@@retromeatball4402 I have that it's a shudder going in and out of 4th gear. Typically around 20-25 mph (slow). I've taken it to the dealers several times and they just drain and refill the fluid. It's a piece of shit car, shit dealer and won't be buying GM again.
It is helpful to have room under the car. But if you can fit under far enough to get to the drain plug. You might not need to jack it up. If you don't and it works, will you let me know?
Your video made this look easy! I think I’m confident enough to try my self
I have 2014 traverse 99k , no issues fantastic suv

If you think this is easy you should check out a 4th Gen 4Runner.
Are you high or did you get paid to type that? That's got to be one the worst oil filter locations I've ever seen.
I agree way easier and more reliable than previous traverse
Thank you for the video. Will be changing my oil referencing your video guide.
You are welcome.

@@padroni79 I am going to try that when I change the oil again. I will let you know how it goes.
Can the oil filter be changed from below the engine?
Yes, you can change it from below the engine. It is just a bit of a reach.
Great job on making this video

@@adammaciag187 No. sorry I don’t know any problems like that.
have you had any issues with the transmission yet?
Sometimes, when I put the car in park I get a message saying it is not in park. What are you experiencing?
