Remember to remove the oil cap on top first so that oil drains out freely and much faster😉👍

Nice job. You're right about the poor filter location. They suck. Although I've seen worse on other cars to where I had to remove the front right wheel to get a good bite on the filter. Designers today are either clueless or they just don't care. I think the hardest part of the job is wiping up the mess. Not many of us "old school" do it yourselfers around anymore. Thanks for sharing.

This is the most very convenient oil change ive ever seen. We had 2020 traverse u dont need to jack them and the drain plug is easy access. Thanks for the video.. my nissan frontier 2016 truck is pain in a butt to oil change.

The placement on the oil filter is annoying since it's hard to not make a mess with it, but other then that it's a fairly easy process!

Nice I have a 2021 traverse and a 2018 frontier and this looks so much easier than the frontier

Thanks for the video, same as 2023 Traverse! I found the filter location very very convenient! I’ve been changing my own oil all my life 5+ vehicles and this by far was the easiest and less messy then anything else. Plenty room underneath for me, didn’t have to jack it up, just reached with 15mm.
Oil from filter drained straight down to the pan without getting over the engine or any supports. I like it.
Changed oil with engine cold so no heat from exhaust for an issue.

The 2nd gen traverse has the most user-friendly maintenance ever. Everything is all layout in the proper place for easy access, no fuss.

My 2 cents for a 2023 Traverse: This was going to be the 4th oil change on the vehicle and though the oil pan plug said 5/8 on top=15.88mm, the only size that grabbed it properly was 15mm. It would not budge. I ain't no weakling and could reach it properly without any lifts. Previous 3 were done at the dealer. I assume they use a calibrated gun. The filter was extremely easy to turn but what's the use. It's going back to the dealer since my quick lube experiences over the years have demonstrated a significant dip in skill. Cheers!

Personally I put the rear wheels on ramps because I’m a big boy and it angles the plug down.

Nice Video, Isnt the check oil procedure a pain? Helping a friend check a brand new 2022 and seemed liked it needed a quart after 3k miles but when it sat for 15 minutes when to the bottom of the cross hairs. Still not in the mid or upper cross hairs but maybe when he checks when cold will be more accurate. Reading the manual, they prefer to be checked cold or wait 15, 30 or even 2 hrs depending on different conditions. Thx

@@Handy-Mann hey sir! I need a very important quick answer please. What is next to the oil filter in the right side? Mines happened to be smok from it when I turn on my car, I'm worried. Thank you so much.

So the drain plug doesn’t take a washer?

If I have a 20000 mile oil filter and only change the oil every 3 month is that safe to do?

    • @lethalchaos19

Nope not good for ur engine. Everytime u make an oil change u need to replace the oil filter. They recommend every 3k miles up to 5k depends on ur car manual.
