I love how Scott blame Xavier because he gave Magneto the school, but tbh Magneto was actually doing a pretty great job until Genosha happened.

@@loner1878if you followed magneto since the beginning - he was a lot of things, but dishonorable was not one of them. He’s led by cause & purpose. At this point, his cause/purpose was to follow in Xavier’s footsteps. He put the ball in human court (“don’t make me let you down…”) and - they dropped it. Sadly, Mags, like the humans and other mutants were just pawns in Bastion’s game.
I know right?! Scott, Roberto and Kelly all shit on Xavier like Magneto being in charge of the X-men affected any of this. Or Magneto attacking him for being in space when he was literally shot and near death and took a sabatical for less then a year. I hope we'll get more exploration of Xaviers dream in future seasons but from what I heard about the comics, he just becomes more of a jerk. Xavier needs a writer who truly gets him like this season did with Magneto and Scott.
The Black Leather joke is a top tier reference lmao

Apperantly before is was very hard to animate his suit....he didnt even turn in the original series
And now they can do stuff like that and actually make him fight

TBF, Sinister has always been a Machiavellian, behind-the-scenes guy in comics and animation. The few times he has actually gotten his hands dirty, he's been freakishly powerful and adaptable enough that it has usually required the entire X-Team to deal with him.
"Fuck them up queen!" Storm's return really made me realize how important her presence is. She IS the heart of the team
The art for how the adamantium was ripped from Magneto in this ep was a homage to X-Men #25. That was how it was originally depicted. The one where it looked like the skeleton was riped out was Wolverine 75.
Like in the comic Logan didn't even scream.😣
I wonder if we'll get a near-death scene with Logan and someone from the afterlife like with Illyana Rasputin in the comics. Remy or Madelyne Pryor would make sense here, or even Leech (since Logan saved his life in the Christmas Special)

I still have my full set of Fatal attractions comics with the Holograms, and a signed copy of Wolverine 75. One of the great X-Men stories.

As soon as I saw Logan's yellow and brown suit, I asked myself, "Is he gonna get his adamantium ripped out?" I temporarily forgot he had the bone claws around the OZT era in the comics.

I was getting a lot of Infinity War vibes from this episode. Having Magneto as Thanos, Cyclops as Star-Lord, and the repercussion of Cyclops' poor choice of decision-making had a part of Wolverine’s body being forcibly removed from him, and if Wolverine hadn’t had his healing factor, he would’ve undoubtedly gotten killed from Magneto’s attack
@DJIFridays gold team would've had more time anyway if cyclops hadn't blasted Xavier. If cyclops had let the professor just shut magneto down he, and anyone else who was able, could've gone and helped gold team while Xavier kept magneto a non-threat
After that ending all I'm saying is Phoenix returns, Onslaught will soon be born, Wolverine it's on the path to become the horseman of Death

Damn. That foreshadowing with the helmet on Xavier was crazy. Definitely getting Onslaught with the rest of the non mutant heroes getting “Reborn” except for Spider-Man who will probably be getting his 98’ treatment. Lol. I can see the “Heroes Reborn” story being a back door pilot for new Avengers, FF, Hulk, and Iron Man series. Or, that could be the explanation for the many adaptations that aired after the OG X-Men series ended (Avengers EMH, Fantastic Four Worlds Greatest Heroes, Hulk Agents of Smash, etc.) Either Way, the stakes have been raised and we’re definitely getting the Purifiers in season 2.

Magneto is removing the adamantium from Wolverine’s body in the same way it happened in the comics. No skeleton removal needed. 🤦🏾♂️🤣💀
I didn’t know magneto could liquidize metal so that was crazy when I saw that

I literally just got done watching about 5 minutes before you posted your video and I am beyond speechless at this part. So much crazy shit happened!
Loved seeing their costumes from the 70’s-80’s period and seeing everyone, including Professor X and Mr. Sinister, kick some ass. That ending had my jaw hang to the floor. I have no idea how the season finale is gonna end from here but I am excited regardless!! This has been a wild ride man.

Wet all do. This is somehow worse than when I was a kid waiting a week for a multi part episode to wrap up.
I feel like this episode showed for me that while Charles is wrong, Magneto isn't right either. As Xavier pointed out shutting off the power isn't just hurting the humans. It hurts all of them. And he was gonna keep it off permanently meaning that he was gonna potentially screw everyone over. Like Xavier said he lets his bitterness, anger, and grief guide him and while it's all understandable it does make him sorta shortsighted.

Agreed, Magneto is letting everyone suffer because of what happened on Genosha (which I understand, but that’s selfish for him to do that as well.)

But, they won’t because they’re heroes. That’s what separates the good guys from the bad guys: doing the right thing even when the entire world is against you and does you wrong. The whole point of the X-Men.
Wish they would have explained how bastion captured magneto since he told what he saw regarding leech
Magneto most likely passed out after the attack. Aside from the energy field he was maintaining he has a barrier over his skin that probably saved him from Leech's fate, but he would have really overexerted himself. If you look closely Bastion was already there at Genosha before the attack and likely grabbed a comatose Magneto up. He has teleporter technology so he could literally be out in an instant.
That ending left my jaw dropped! Holy Sh*t! 🤯 🔥

As much as I enjoyed seeing Jean kick Sinister’s ass, I kind of wish it would have been Cable. It would have been so poetic to see him defeated by the very thing he spent years trying to obtain. Hopefully we’ll get it next episode

This is the first time ever we see Cable actually using his power on TV or film! He can't really use it too much because he's constantly focusing most of it to keep the virus from spreading past his arm. I wonder if it'll spread now... 😭

I'm kinda on Magnetos side, and he really tried to do good by Charles, look what it brought.
Nope they said this show is playing for keeps so they're not going to time rewind everything. Where does this go? Onslaught! Magneto is dying, Charles is going to use his power to reverse the poles and then put his mind inside his own to "save his friend". Next season over the first few episodes some mysteriously heinous shit will happen and Charles will seem off... bout half way Onslaught makes his grand reveal!
As for the Bastion plot this season idk how we wrap it up... seems like we're gonna get the collar on him somehow. Bishop may show up since he's been MIA for a minute to help. They had a scene of Phoenix Jean in the opening this time so she may die and immediately revive as the Phoenix, disable Sinister's control over Cable and the Jean + Cable + Storm manage to kill Bastion cause the more I think of it I don't think we can let him live either.
Imma need my man Bishop to make that game winning shot. Also, I can see them writing Jean off to go to the White Hot Room to make way for Emma Frost to join the team and hook up with Scott.

I jumped outta bed with my jaw wide open in shock. I can't believe they're doing this! As a certified Wolverine hater I'm happy though, lol. This show is rebalancing 20+ years of damage Fox has done by focusing so much on and inflating the Wolverine character in the crappy movies. X-Men '97 is putting him in his place. Love his personality and grumpy humor but they reeeeeeaaaaally made that character overplay his position. That's why I always say we haven't had an X-Men movie yet! They're all Wolverine movies, lmao. Which is why I don't wanna see Hugh Jackman anymore past Deadpool 3 because they're still kinda gasing him. THIS IS X-MEN!!!!!!!

This was a crazy asf episode especially the ending where wolverine stabs Magneto then gets the adamantium ripped right out was like a Mortal Kombat Finishing move Frfr. And as far as Jean goes I was hoping to see some dark Phoenix action still have one episode left I guess to see what happens next I can't think of a better way to get rid of Sinister than with some dark Phoenix action lol especially when Cable is under sinisters influence so we'll see what happens next

I have to say, I would be completely onboard with Bastion's plan to improve humanity lol. The constant struggle between humans and mutants would be tiring. I would want my own way of defending myself from the bad mutants so the good ones wouldn't have to swoop in and save me all the time. Being human is incredibly boring. If I wasn't a mutant, being a Prime Sentinel would be the next best option.
This Was an awesome episode I can't wait for the Finale in 2 Days.

My 1 complaint with this episode: Magneto should have ripped Wolverine's claws out first. Then Wolverine should have grabbed one of the claws to manually stab Magneto.

All the hints have been there from constant mentioning of it, to being shown multiple times in the intro, and to Jean dismissing Madelyne powers with small Phoenixes on the astral plane in episode 3. Even Cable seem to have fire like raptor when his powers were activated against Jean. Sad but not understandable the split with the team after what happened in Genosha. Think most of us saw this but surprised Scott and Hank didn’t side with Erik from their previous comments. Hank I gather changed his tune because of what happened to Trish. From Demayo hint of certain comic book definitely not surprised Wolverine Adamantium taken out but still horrifying this happened. Can’t wait for the conclusion next week!! Btw Demayo said no time traveling resolving what happened this season
I was really hoping for Jean to stay mortal for awhile before doing anything Phoenix related but I truly don’t see how they fix any of the issues present without cosmic power. Reminds me of “Here comes tomorrow” where Sublime basically destroyed the planet and Jean did a hard reset on the timeline to fix everything as White Phoenix.

Time traveling never solved any X-Men plot in the comic except for those that came from the future only to create time paradoxes and alternate timelines for their present by trying to change what they think is their past, but the X-Men’s present.

At the start of the episode The X-Men and also you seem to have had forgotten during the "let's blame everything on Magneto" part that if Magneto didn't get off the EMP last episode they would all be enslaved or dead and humans would be forcibly converted into prime sentinels! And also that literally nothing they were complaining about had anything to do with Magneto or Charles leaving him in charge and also pre-genosha he WAS doing what Charles would have done!

It's very meta for Sunspot to go with Magneto because when Magneto lead the New Mutants in the comics, Sunspot is part of the New Mutants.

Well; what did you expect? Black leather? I remember X-Men #25 as well, and this is exactly the same. It was graphic enough; which blood and metal flying everywhere. Pretty gruesome stuff. This whole episode is in homage to that comic; as the Uncanny X-Men were Blue team lead by Scott, and X-Men were gold lead by Storm. The only big difference here, is the new Psylock was Scott's second, to Jean being Storm's. Psylock's ninja skills and psychic blade made her more battle ready for Scott's team. She would later join Wolverine on the X-Force Black Ops team for the same reasons.
