Cap already made an appearance in the 90's X-Men cartoon. Back then, other heroes making an appearance in a Marvel show wasn't a big deal because you sort of just assume they exist because it's a Marvel show. It wasn't until the MCU came into existence when seeing these heroes together became a big deal because of licensing rights and the hoops they have to go through to get those rights.
X-Men '97 not making a big deal of Captain America showing up, just casually showing the Watcher in the sky, and a quick reference to Spider-Man all harken back to those days.
Exactly that's how marvel should be don't put heros above others in importance unless it's in universe, we do need to see iron man and have a whole minute to build up to it

Rogue's mother is Mystique so I'm not surprised about her capacity to go dark. Rogue, Wolverine, Gambit, and Psylocke are definitely the killers if pushed.

This ep had me crying in the first 5 minutes and had me saying “God DAMN, Rogue…” like four different times
Morph can only mimic physical powers (i.e. super strength, speed, durability etc.). However, if they turn into Cyclops they can't shoot optic blast or if they turned into Storm they wouldn't be able to control the weather.
I love that. Its a nice upgrade to their power but also a nice limit

True. Captain America can’t just show up in another country unless there is an outward threat. You risk an international incident or starting a war. When he went to Germany the war already existed. And any other mission he was working as a shield operative to contain a threat (hydra) avengers 2 and Capt 3 are good examples of this. However if no threat exist and he goes rogue or if an enemy is surrendering and he doesn’t give them due process it would not only be an internal incident but also a pr storm.

I think magneto would be incredibly tempted to turn heal back into his old ways solely based on the E is for extinction/ genocide on Genosha. Now add in that Xavier is still alive, and how relieved and betrayed he might feel. Also he could feel justified in the fact that someone “more well tempered” is there to handle the politics with humans. But the real question is is Xavier going to stay that idealist or has him psychicly expierencing the Genocide changed him and made him more like his old friend Magneto.

I think that Magneto will be turned by Bastion into a living weapon. Maybe since Charles is returning we will see an interpretation of Onslaught

I love that we don't know where Storm & Prof. X are right now, I'm so curious where they are going to appear. Also, I'm wondering if Cable was able to make it that point but not to stop the attack because it was an absolute point that had to happened (that may be why we saw the Watcher in ep5). I love the direction of the show!
Yeah, when Rogue touched Gyrich, she saw an outline of Nimrod, whom we saw in the intro when it was showing past events. In past episodes I think Nimrod was a special type of sentinel from the future.
I’ve heard that Nimrod becomes Bastion which according to the subtitles is who that baddie with Sinister was. I don’t know where things are heading but this is really bad. It’s looking like a sentinel from the future is turning people into sentinel hybrids and just seeing Trask fight, they are obviously stupid strong.
Nimrod and Mastermold merge with a human to make Bastion. Sebastian Gilberti drained Mastermold of all of its energy and it merged him with Nimrod tech and Bastion was born
These are Prime Centinals. Made by Bastion. Humans that are enhanced with robotics. Cyborg type centinals. Bastion is a centinal himself created when Mastermold absorbed Nimrod.
Mastermold made the Prime Sentinels and Sebastian Gilberti took the credit. Bastion was created when Sebastian tried to drain the Mastermold’s power unit and in response it infused Nimrod tech into Sebastian along with Prime sentinel tech and he became Bastion
That was Bastion. Half Human/Half sentinel. I kind of figured this was where it was headed.

Rogue was fighting general Rosses Hulkbusters
This is bastion. Bastion/ sensation Gilberti is a fusion between nimrod and if I remember correctly a master mold. He’s a self proclaimed hating mutant and he’s adopted mom rose Gilberti is where he gets his name from. He’s like kind of human but not at the same time. And a giant POS.
Yeah, he's a fusion of Master Mold and Nimrod in the comics, 'evolved' into the form we see here by the Siege Perilous.
That was Bastion(a Mix of Nimrod and MasterMold). Nimrod is a Super Sentinel From the Future. And the plan is to make Clone Magneto. The one that Strips Wolverine of his Adamandium.
The bad. guy in the ending is Bastion, a super vilain.
Bastion has NOT been introduced in the animated series until now as someone that read the era of comics Bastions from I'm looking forward to see what he does with his Human sentenals.
Just seeing Cap was a moment that I seriously said at one point. They could bring back the series of the most powerful heroes on the planet and individually. The 90's spiderman series too. Because they all exist. A moment to shine for this chapter, the cameos, characters of xmen who have made an appearance and brought them as a bastion. And I begged to have this evil version that was from the comics before, mainly when he joined the Xmen.

1. The big boss character is named Bastion. His only link to the OG series is that he’s a hybrid of Nimrod and Mastermold. How they adapted him in this series will be interesting, but the opening credits scenes may give us a clue. They’ve had the one where Bishop blast apart Nimrod with “AoA” Wolverine and Storm for two weeks now. I think the Nimrod in that story (One Man’s Worth) got stuck in the past and somehow got salvaged by a young Trask or combined with a version of Mastermold to become Bastion.
2. We’re getting The X-Men vs The Avengers. Captain America mentioned his team to Rogue and we know he ain’t talking about the Howling Commandos. Lol. Plus, Beast mentions them in relation to Scarlet Witch being on the team in the OG episode “Bloodlines” with Quicksilver and Magneto. I just hope they do the 80’s version instead of the 2010’s one.
3. The actual Trask was turned into a Prime Sentinel. I think the TO virus (the same that Cable has) from the “Phalanx Covenant” OG episode has something to do with that and Bastion’s creation.
4. The “Prize” Sinister referred to in this episode will be a double cross and will release the Legacy Virus. Another adaptation they’re fitting in with Bastion taking the place of Stryfe.
5. I think either Android Magneto, Joseph, or Xorn is being created from the real one by Bastion.

I hope we get to see the 90s animated versions of Iron Man, Spider-Man, venom, Hulk and ghost rider in the future

These X-Men also appeared in 2 Spider-Man episodes, and then Storm in the Spider-Man secret wars finale build-up.

Bastion is basically Hiller to mutants. He's the worst of the worst. You got to kinda see him in episode 4 in a photo on Forge's noteboard but they had Bastion's face covered. He was one of the foul people Forge worked with to created the collar technology to suppress mutant powers.
Only fighting game players like me noticed the reference they made with Rogue using her air roll into divekick from the Capcom fighting games. LOVED THAT!!!!!🔥

You might remember this villain from the original series, but at the time he was known as Nimrod.
It's Bastion, took me a while as well.
Bastion is a more obscure villain from the X-Men comics. He actually debuted in 1997 and I imagine that’s why they’re using him here. I won’t say what his origin is cause I’m sure the show will explain it coming up
I don't think Gyrich is dead. When Rogue arrives, he's already been worked on by Bastion. That's why he rubbed his arm and said a psi probe wasnt a worry. Note the electricity when Rogue was absorbing his powers and memories. Bastion "killed" him to activate the Prime Sentinel in him. JMO
So it's Bastion. No wonder they kept showing Nimrod in the intro.
The subtle way to bring real world events and contextualizing them into the Marvel Universe in such a delegate way has always been the formula of the X-Men (from comics to animation), despite what the toxic voices say as they shout "wokeness."
The combined scenes from @6:30 and @10:29 is a direct conversation on the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting of June 2016, and what it's like with struggling to come out to ones parents on being anything other than straight.
It's a gripping display how the writers and creatives flawlessly weave these topics into the story to show that despite ones fear of coming out to their parents, it's always going to be better than them finding out by way of a news story hearing their child was a victim of a hate crime.
I can not praise the writers enough for doing this so seamlessly, because if you aren't tuned to picking it up, you might not catch it.

I think the voice of Bastian is Neal McDonough, who played Damian Darhk in the Arrowverse. Another great casting choice

Humans converted to sentinels is an idea from the 2014 Magneto comic, which is about post-Genosha Magneto going on a revenge quest, much like Rogue here. It is really interesting seeing how they adapt these things, especially the relatively newer stuff!

Morph can take on the physical traits of those he morphs into, that includes physical powers. So the speed of Quicksilver, the agility of Psylocke, or the durability of Colossus but it will always be to a lesser extent in a one on one fight (at least that's been my understanding). So Morph couldn't use Psylocke's psionic abilities or Magik's teleportation powers because those are not physical traits tied to the body
That last scene with Bastion and Magneto is terrifying. They just went Pulp Fiction on us.

Bation is the "evolved" form of Nimrod, the super-Sentinel. OZT is Operation Zero Tolerance, the successor to Project: Wideawake (the Sentinel program). PRime Sentinels are humans cybernetically augmented with Sentinel trch.
When i first heard the Bastion voice, i thought it was Neal McDonough. It sounds just like him. But it is actually Theo James. Rogue has been and always will be my Favorite X-man, X-Woman, lol. But I swore she figured out her inability to touch others in the Original Series, love her, but she needs to see there is far more to intimacy then just the physical! I Can't think of a time Gambit didn't think or her first!
Morph can take on the physical abilities of the mutants they morph into. The villain is definitely from the comics.
