I have both ....Legion Go for screen and controllers,mouse pad,back stand etc... Asus Rog Ally for software and updates......Legion Go software feels and looks c cheap and updates feel like is abandoned some times ... Both running nice ...BIG screen is a must for me,enjoying games much more!
Legion Go is my go-to. Refunded the Ally and since I own the Legion I have played a tremendous amount of time on it. On the Ally I had no "need" to play.
I had the Ally for 11 days returned it a for the go a few days ago. The Asus was failing on day 9 to read the micro sd card. Card was fine in another laptop. It would sporadically connect and work. Legion Go I’ve had zero issues.
Had the GO for a few weeks and returned it. The dpad was garbage, the speakers were garbage. The edge of the controllers dug into my hands and wasn’t comfortable for longer sessions. Legion space was terrible. I ended up using playnite. The screen was pretty awesome tho. 🤷🏻♂️
Legion Go for me, the screen we all know about is superb quality and a great size. Also playing emulators / retro games on the big TV and detaching the controls, plus also that beefy stand is so good. I use that stand all the time, even when holding it. The updates from when I got it day one to now have improved it significantly. Unfortunately I got stung by ASUS with a terrible laptop last year, never again. Sure the Rog Ally is great though.
Got my go a few months ago and I’m happy with it. Think the ally would of been decent and would of been happy if I got that. But right now it’s better to wait. These need more ram as it’s shared between cpu and gpu. 16gb is just not enough when most new games require that for just ram. You can decide how much the gpu gets which 4/6gb seems to work the best. But if it just had 32gb you could split it and be fine. There is a few devices with 32gb about but not sure if they are any good. Really hope a guide comes to mod the go with more ram
Chose the legion go just got mine yesterday my only issue is the audio a person like myself who is hard of hearing I can barely hear it at all compared to my steam deck which I had no problem with . Kinda sucks because im loving the screen size

had legion go for 2 weeks but decided to return it, it keeps stoping whenever i play and it lags i think it has a software problem i dunno. heavy for a handheld and im not comfortable holding it for a long period of time... i will try the new Rog Ally X soon
I have been on my LegionGo for months and put down that Ally bc of the screen is just too small for my bad eyes. But, damn I do miss the VRR, and, the speakers also get less hot as well. I was playing Elden Ring on the Ally last night just felt smoother and sounded great but, had to switch back to the big boy. As always appreciate the content are you getting the slightly better Asus Rog X?
@@JahsonENT i followed your videos ever since you posted about tips and tweaks never got a single issue with it compared with Rog ally having issue with sd card. Not just the screen goes with the unique feature of having fps mode, screen at least having the option to play with a built with mouse.
