PROUD 32" OG G7 OWNER HERE! Yes you are right. If you want the best out of a G series monitor, then get the Neos or latest. But the fact that the OG holds its own up against the latest is why I'll be sticking with it a few more years unless I could get a free trade out like I get with smartphones. Speaking of that, it's like the difference between an iPhone 7 and 7s.
I think the Neo G7 is really worth it. After a long research, I've decided to upgrade to it 2 weeks ago (had a Samsung Curved 1080p) and it is amongst the best investments I've ever made. I just love it!
@@Desleiden Well maybe you already did. Anyway I second that upgrade from G7 to Neo G7 is worth every penny if you can afford such price for monitor. I was thinking if its worth getting or I should wait till they finally do usable OLED because I love black. Boy was I in for a suprise.. can't actually believe what good VA + FALD can do before I see it on my own eyes.. perfect? No. But nearly there.
For some reason the red on the og G7 is incredibly vibrant--not just compared to the Neo G7--but most other monitors. The way it's produced is just striking, it's almost like "neon" red.
Another thing that I noticed, not only in this video, is that the neo image is very greenish....the old G7 looks more natural. Not sure if this is due to how the video was captured.
A very interesting review. Waiting for a seperate HDR comparison and comments about the resolutions 4K vs 1440p. It may also be curious to compare these aspects.
the problem with mini led is issues in the auto dimming causing delays and noticeable changing of pixels in some scenes that changes from bright to dark, or dark to bright also due to the extreme high peak brightness, it can cause noticeable light cloud around a white object on a dark background, the problem with oleds is its not as reliable as LCD panels due to its burn in issues taskbar or many other things can burn in, just get a normal 4k LCD display much cheaper and you get from both ends good results now its cheaper because of the mini led displays and oleds.
I loved my [OG] G7, what a great monitor even though it had some issues for sure (the brightness zones really bothered me when in real dark games). One MAJOR plus to consider when considering a NEO (I'd do a G8 for the small increase in price but) the native PS5 4k support makes the monitor slightly more appealing to me than the Alienware new QD-OLED (which I did order and am excitedly waiting on). Lastly, I was lucky and my G7 had absolutely NO issues even though I hear Samsung has common QC problems. Cheers, nice vid! :)
This size with the curve is really eye comfy, to me it is like the odyssey ark, but affordable haha. Energy consumption should be higher on the neo even with eye care and eco mode on. Odysseys are great, man. Thats about it
imagine video, would you say 4K is worth it over 2K? because colors and depth looks good on both, to me its either the 4K image worth the extra price or not i tried 4K in 27inch was, it was tough to notice the difference lol
Hallelujah Mama always said good things come to those who wait 😀. I think I'm going to stick in a holding pattern with my G7 OLED will be my next panel . Just need a few more advancements in the tech for monitors and I'll be sold. PS. I bought my wife a gigabytem 32q. This weekend on sale for 300 bucks that thing is a banger for the money I can't believe how good it looks compared to my G7 not quite as good but awful damn close for less than half the price 🕺🍻🍻.
The local dimming on that odyssey, is just sad. I had to sell it because in any dark scene with a small bright object, the local dimming would make the whole screen glow 🥲
Another beatiful video. I was looking for this!! I would like to have an Alienware oled, but I can't. I really want deep blacks. I don't like IPS glow and back light bleed as I have right now. I'm worried about the panel lottery of neo g7. I have only one chance to get a good panel. Do you think that is very likely to get a good one? or all are good panels because of their technology? like oleds. I have an Acer Predator XB271HU.
I think you should be fine friend. The mini led neos will all display the same its just maybe a bit extra wobble or build quality that may differ. I hope you get a good one with no Hassel. If you are set on it you won't be dissapointed of you want amazing contrast.
I really like the colored bloom on the Neo's HDR, I prefer the Sun on the OG with more dark parts though. I think the Neo G7 is a bit too washed out with too much Black EQ.
Create monitor as NEO G7 but flat and i will play every price… I do not understand why Samsung stick in all those years on top VA panels to curve technology not everyone like it !
why should i trade 240hz vs 165hz when i play competitve fps and i see more sharpend details in brightness to help me better aim so i stick def to the g7
I just purchased the neo g7 for my birthday gift to myself. Would you recommend playing games in SDR vs HDR? I'm hooking it up to my series x. Cheers bro and keep up the good work.
Im too late but still... Happy Bday friend.. May your G7 bring you so much joy... I honestly mostly play in sdr. Its brighter. I do keep local dimming on High for sdr so it gets brighter on certain scenes. I usually use custom with a black equalizer of 11-13. Everything else you decide what's best (Contrast on Cinema is too strong)
@@zackbigsby oh cool... Happy Bday to you, Happy Bday to you, Happy Bday dear Zack... Happy Bday to You......... 😆 (I actually thought you said OG G7 but I read your reply... you got a Neo!! Nice! I really love my Neos... those peak highlights are great. Try contrast Enhancer on and off again depending on what you like. Mortal kombat 11 looks amazing and I use that to test as there is so much contrast in that game.
Hi Viktor, bit of an off topic question - I have a Neo G7, looking to get a triple monitor setup for sim racing. Do you think getting two G7’s to go either side of the Neo G7 would be too much of a mismatch between the two panels?
Hi there!! Great vids friend, really well explained + visuals, they are awesome. I’m thinking about upgrading my monitor, in your opinion wich are the two best options for a 4k 27-28 inches monitor for xbox series x? Thx in advance and greetings from Spain!
Best 4k monitor I own at 27/28 inches for Xbox is the m28u at 499. Super cheap and gives you everything. At this price it's the best. It's on sale lately. Depending on the firmware mine is super bright butvrecent reports on new updates are lower in brightness. So that's the only issue. If you dont need 400+nits brightness or if you currently keep your brightness under 70% this is great.
Get the G50A. Its brighter and way more impressive overall. I have the ex2510 (non S) which is the same minus the higher refresh rate. I would get the G50A all day.
The Neo G7 has worse response times than the OG G7. Also the FALD adds input lag unlike the 8 zones on the OG which adds no extra input lag. 165hz is also such a downgrade and 4k for me is not worth it as opposed to higher fps and thus less motion blur. Now the Neo G8 has excellent response times and 240hz but has scanlines and also the FALD added input lag. HDR games that are good are not that many so for me the G7 is the ultimate SDR monitor with a good enough HDR for the odd game.
240hz vs 165hz is why OG G7 has better response times. But if you match hz vs hz they are the same. Higher hz = better response times. Neo g7 makes up for it with higher resolution 4k vs 1440p.
I have a problem my monitor flickers when I use gsynch compatiblility even though the fps is in the 40 to 165 range. I am using the Dp cable shipped with the monitor could that be the problem?
Hello my friend I have been doing the most intense research for the decision of a purchase for 5 days on which monitor to get and have looked into SO MANY options and looked at many reviews. You are by far the best account I have found on these specs and your comparisons/vs videos are the most helpful and perspective shedding for me I have found, me being as of before 5 days ago completely illiterate on the tech and have never had a gaming monitor. I have zeroed my decision down to to the Neo g7 when before this video I was leaning towards getting the og Odyssey. You are a beast at explaining and the only tech channel I am subscribed to now. I have a question. Would the neo g8 oled coming soon be an overkill purchase for a console user and would it be a good idea to wait until it comes out and get that instead? I just want the most optimum experience for MW2 and Assassin's Creed on console
Thx friend. I appreciate the kind words.. the New G8 OLED will be great for 21:9 UltraWide. Not overkill but 16:9 on a 34" to me is not bright enough and I believe you would get more impact on the Neo G7 for consoles. Now if you wanted it for PC then yes the G8 OLED in Ultrawide would looks amazing.. try to buy the Neo G7 at 1099. I try to list the sales when I see them...
@@DisplayReality I'm at a confliction. I had a conversation with my cousin who is much more tech savvy than me and he said that consoles don't truly run at 4k 120fps, but I tried explaining to him about HDMI 2.1 that consoles just recently started working at the frame speed and resolution. Should I just get a 1440p or if I got one with HDM1 2.1 like the neo g7 would it actually optimize my experience on console and get the bigger bang for my buck?
Im about to get the neo g7 tomorrow to see how it compares to the OG G7 27 inch i have. Anything you recommend ill be playing on xsx and ps5. Also does the ultragameview works on console?
Hello my man , now i have a dell s2721dgf i love that monitor but i hate the contrast and 1 more and most important thing creates a discomfort for eyes, that it’s nano-ips panell i heard so manny complain about this . I have a possibilty to.buy a samsung g7 or a ultra wide huawei mate gt .Did those has same problem with discomofrt it creates on eyes ? 🥺
I don't have a eyes strain on the S2721dgf but I have seen what you say about that problem. The G7 is curved tho so you will need to get accustomed to that. But for consoles try PCrgb xbox or hdmi full ps5 for the mean time for more contrast.
Great video! Having done many comparisons in person, I can tell that Neo G7 fald crushes some shadow details in dark scenes and that something I can't deal with. And as you said full screen brightness is not as good. I need bright displays and no black crush, that's why instead of Oled or Fald all my monitors and tv's are qled samsung edge lit. Anyway no monitor/tv is perfect (right now).
Yea you definitely didn’t use fps and tweaked with the settings nothing is crushed and looks amazing I have a Sony a90j oled paired with my neo g8 I’ll take this mini led everytime over anything out there at the moment
I have an OG G7 for almost 2 years now. I moved to another state and it was stored for about 5 months. Brought it here finally and set it up only to find out the jog button is no longer functional... Did you ever had a problem with your G7's jog button? Any nice tips on how to get it back to work? Gladly my monitor settings are as I want but, of course, the button will eventually be very useful for me. I downloaded a DDC app, at least brightness/contrast is still changeable...
The only thing I can recommend is to hard reset the monitor. Disconnect all cables for 20min. Then reconnect. I hope it works again. At least you can still control and adjust thru software.
@@DisplayReality The jog button is woking again! I recently bought a couple desk stands for my monitors and had to replug everything back on. Swapped from display port 2 to dp1 input and it worked
Both are great. What did you specifically need in a gaming monitor? Basically it comes down to IPS vs VA Mini LED. Flat vs curve. And specific features like the gsync module on the D. That's about it as they are both great
hello! I'm considering neo g7 or 27gp950 for ps5. play pubg mainly. I just want to see enemy more clearly with no ghosting and fast reaction. should I go for samsung or lg!? I need your advice brother
I have the og g7. I can have the neo g7 g8 at a discount for work. But I think I want to wait for qdoled. If there wasnt a 2month wait on the Dell alienware qdoled id order it today
hey, I get gaming but I'm considering getting the Neo g7 as a programmer. Had one old Samsung VA panel 34" in the past (1440p). Currently using a LG 42" OLED but finding its too big and the glossy look kills me with reflections. Wondering if you could review running the Neo g7 at 4k120, text, readability etc. Have a Neo g7 in box and unsure if I want to go through the hassle now of opening it and replacing my LG 42"
So far Ibhave had nonissue on text or work related apps. You have had a VA Samsung monitor before so this will be an upgrade I'm sure in terms of performance. The Neo G7 so far has no scan lines that may be present on the G8. Semi Matte on the Neo G7 really is helpful like you say with Reflections.
I had an Odyssey g7 before and returned it because it was way too dark. It was so dark that I couldn't even play some games and tried everything to get the brightness up. I'm not sure if I had a lemon or not, but I would like to know if the Neo g7 is that much brighter to where I wouldn't have to worry about brightness issues?
this video is almost 2 years old, is there really nothing newer on the VA panels that has come out in all this time?? still looking for a newer 4K VA panel to upgrade from my older non-gamer 60hz one.. this is how I got to this old video now. Even with all the new miniLED tech now, I still absolutely refuse the low native contrast of IPS and IPSglow. Contrast is paramount for me, as I have had OLED screens on my phone and tv for a while now, so poor contrast is very noticeable to my night-owl eyes. i know the new OLED monitors this year finally look great (imo) but, there's still a big but (and not in the good way), I also use my monitor as what it is, a damn computer monitor, for hours a day, so the risk of burn-in is really a non starter for me. and that burn-in risk is the same with gaming; playing the same game for hours on end, the hud(s) and non-changing items on-screen are noticeable, and that is a no-go. thats why I can't truly enjoy a full gaming session on my tv, the thought is always on the back of my mind. all this before even mentioning regular RGB array vs wRGB or whatever the other arrangement is for OLEDs pixels. I am a mac user so text and UI artifacts are a mess in non-mac displays. thats why 32inch 4K is a must for me, I use it with no (visible) scaling, 1:1 and that solves that problem, at least to my eyes. so all that makes me still want VA, it's the right balance for me. great video review btw! showcasing the mini dim zones and highlights capabilities 👍
The cinema preset does not let you adjust the black equalizer. Sometimes in certain scenes the image has a black crush to it. Thats why custom is best as you can adjust everything to your liking. I use BE of 11-12 on custom. Cinema is a set preset. Even 13 on custom looks not as crushed as cinema 13. Black crush meaning shadow detail.
I'm getting the m9 soon but the Neo G7 has more zones. The M9 is flat and I like that and want to test 96 ips zones.. plus the m9 is really made for ps5. That sync capability in hdr mode looks like a great feature.
G7... that's a huge price difference.. the G7 does everything except peak highlights and 4k120hz which the Neo is best for. Tho now 1440p120hz is great on the G7.
Does the Neo G7 support 1440p @ 120hz over HDMI 2.1? I'm gaming in PS5 and my buddy has the. OG G7 and I love that monitor but I want to get the NeoG7 but idk which to go with that will be best for PS5 especially since Playstation just enabled 1440p on PS5. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Yea friend. The Neo G7 and 8 both can do 4k120hz. No issues on stock firmware. The OG is great but the Neo is better for sdr highlights brightness (it makes sdr look hdr) and true HDR...
Can you make a video on HDR setting for neo g7. As in HDR mode my monitor colors are not right somehow.. There is no tutorial for hdr set up in pc in RUclips. BTW I bought neo g7 seeing your recommendations.. Keep doing wt u do.. Thanks for your hardwork..
@@DisplayReality Thanks for the reply. Yes kinda washed out in Hdr mode in PC.. Using windows 10 pc.. When I enable hdr in pc and tried to play games or eatch hdr videos.. rts profile 100 brightness 75 contrast(up to 100 for user preference) 60 sharpness black equalizer 16 (13 to 16 user preference) , gamma mode 1 color tone normal.. this will really get a nicer true color i feel webpages will be more white than the warm hue
Hi, i have a Neo G7 and i like it, its far from perfect, but man i hooked up my PS5 and this HDR is going to laser my eyes .. my Neo G7 has the Scanline Problem, from 120Hz to 165Hz Scanlines but it is no dealbreaker for me because my viewdistance it far enought to not see the Problem. My fullscreen brightness is good, i am going with 80% brightness on windows with SDR and it is to bright for dark rooms, open a browser or windows explorer and your eyes going to burn. What triggers me is the point that some settings are not dedicated for the Input Ports, why i cannot shut down the display with 1 button ? the OSD is not much user friendly and there is no software to control the Display, shame on samsung.
What are your thoughts on the longevity of the neo g7 vs the VA panel? I am leaning towards the old G7 due to no maintenance required. Is it true I have to disable my taskbar to reduce risk of burn in?
guys plz help me. i have problem with eyes . I have now 2 monitors one of them is VA panel 32 inch 1080 fhd , second IPS panel 27 inch 4k , both samsung both 60 hz . but ihave problem on IPS panel dont know why . im playng poker online , im not gamer but stil need more hz monitors and thinking on g7 neo ... i need minimum 144 hz monitor with 4k and What other monitors can be bought? p.s i can buy 1 monitor 32 inch or 2 same monitors 27 inch .
Try custom, rts or rpg modes. Daily in the black equalizer settings to 11-15 (depending on what you like) sharpness I keep at 52 and Gamma mode 2. Contrast Enhancer on for consoles but I dont believe I have it on for pc. Local dimming on High for gaming off for work.
@@Marc2k6 honestly it does, for gaming I don’t see why 4k should be a priority and if u decide to upgrade to a pc later down the line you will have that 240hz option
Neo G7 looks great and nicer natuve 4k etc but the G7 or G6 will do great. As long as you monitor comes without any defects you will be happy on the image..
Old VA G7 for 520€ New NEO G7 for Only 1210€ Holy shit its completly WORTh it i think i Buy it right NOW!!!!! with this small price difference I have no choice ;D
I have Neo G7, what is your favorite settings/ preset? i have been using srgb preset because rtings review said it was the most color accurate. edit: i got farther in video. you don't like srgb preset? 8:00
I use srgb Preset only for editing. Friend.. only use rtings or anyone who calibrated settings if you want a natural toned color accurate 200nit picture. (It limits the power of the Neo for the sake of accuracy) I never use those settings. That's just me. I use custom, 100 brightness for the highlight power. Black equalizer of 12-13 depending (on custom) contrast 80, color 58, Gamma mode 2. Local dimming high. Advanced contrast sometimes on or off depending on what looks better per game. Try my settings and it's Night and day vs rtings srgb for an amazing impactful image.. the key is to adjust your black equalizer so it does not crush your image. Between 11-15 on all presets should not go under or over for an impactful image.
Use fps and tweak it brightness 100 sharpness 72 go into color gamma mode 1 turn the saturation to 75 or 76 and put the contrast enhancer on it’s amazing in warzone the colors pop and you can see all everything clear all those black suites hiding in the dark can see them for miles
Indeed the SDR peak brightness is better on the Neo G7 thanks to its mini led technology, but i think the comparison is flawed. One should not compare two screens by setting incorrect presets and maxing out the brightness, both screens must be calibrated first. Manual calibration with tools is not strictly necessary, online there are many reviews that show the proper settings with both monitors: both should be set on "Custom" mode because is the most accurate preset out of the box unlike Cinema mode, then the brightness for SDR must be set much lower than 100 when watching those monitors in a pitch black room, otherwise for a non oled screen this would result in a washed out image with elevated blacks. So the correct values for brightness should be "20"ish and 75 for Contrast on BOTH. In HDR mode everything should ramp up to Max (100-100) automatically. Also, local dimming should be used only for hdr contents, so for a fair comparison the correct thing to do is testing both with local dimming (and dynamic contrast) off for SDR contents and THEN turning it on for showing the obvious difference that mini leds can do.
Thx for your input friend. Tho I would never play at 20 brightness no point in this Mini led then. Why pay more if you are not going to utilize the tech. Also Local Dimming on High works with sdr content for amazing peak highlights.
Can you please tell me the best settings for the neo g7 for next gen consoles , I can't seem to find the right sweet spot , some images are too dark and others too bright and some colours just seem way off , it's quite disappointing for price of this monitor im hoping there are tweaks I can do to make it worth while

No in depth of 4k vs 1440p? I like the review and your style, but that is literally the only reason I am considering the Neo. To use for productivity / sharp text as well as gaming.
Prices have dropped on the Neos. If working with a black back with white text turning off local dimming solves any issue. I have another vs video but i did not include a text test. Ill see what I can do on a future vid. Happy holidays friend.

@@DisplayReality Ok I think I understand. You have two neo g7s but only one was shown on screen alongside og while you were talking about the two neos, then you switched to talking about the neo vs og while they're still on screen. You used some of the comparison footage instead of b-roll that would show both neos compared for context before getting into the comparison itself. That's where the confusion was while I skipped around. I like that you checked your video to make sure though. Now I'll rewatch knowing that and see your comparison because it looks good. Thank you
It's a very good option. I'll have vs video in my live stream soon and I'll show that soon. Thx.. 1440p on ps5 will help many get great Monitors as they are cheaper then 4k..
I hope Samsung ditch its ugly gamerish, childishly, curved design and adopt same design as G8 OLED with an IPS/ADS and flat screen. I personally never gonna touch the OLED panel due to burn in risk.
The Neos will show it this way vs another monitor that can achieve higher. Flashes are no problem but actual white screens with a slow transition this is what you get and abl kick in. I have both neo 7 and 8 vs another monitor this is what happens... The brightness on the Neo cannot compete vs another capable monitor in full white screen. I have shown this in other videos.
I have both of them and my oddesy g7 is much butter ...why ?? ...in hdr mode the Odyssey g7 have a good sun in every game have a good colours but the neo oddesy g7 have bad hdr in every game
You would be surprised the comments say G7 4k (name is G70A) also G7 with zones as Neo G7. Many still confuse G7 as Neo G7 and or G70A. OG G7 makes sense to not confuse Odyssey fans which we are here on the channel.
i'm confused why do elden ring look so much better on the old G7? (my current monitor) i was thinking to upgrade to the neo g7 from my normal g7.. but the contrast looks so much better on that example.. is that because of the settings or why?
The reason in this specific video was cinema preset on both are different. The Neo G7 opens up more control while the OG G7 is set as a certain level because of only 8 zones and some options are greyed. While the OG G7 looks awesome still the more options are better onbthe Neos bit it's not night and day is what I was trying to show.. the OG G7 is still very good. But at the end of the day it's still 8 zones vs 1156 zones...
i want to use the cinema preset but the image is too sharp with it and i couldn't figure out a custom setting to make it look the same as the cinema preset
Try this: custom then black equalizer set to 11-13. Depending on how you like it. Sharpness lower to what you prefer. I keep local dimming on high or on for sdr and hdr.

Thank you for doing this video 😄✌️
Very helpful video, thanks. May i know, what a soundtrack in the end of video?
@@DisplayReality thanks my friend!! I really like neos with mini led. I would play all my favorites video games again XD
I really like the colored bloom on the Neo's HDR, I prefer the Sun on the OG with more dark parts though.
I think the Neo G7 is a bit too washed out with too much Black EQ.
Hello Viktor, thank you for all yout beautiful Videos. I use in my own the LG C2 42 for Pc and Dekstop HDR its just insane u know that
Create monitor as NEO G7 but flat and i will play every price… I do not understand why Samsung stick in all those years on top VA panels to curve technology not everyone like it !
Thanks Viktor it's a really insightful video I'll keep watching all your videos, and maybe one day we'll find the perfect monitor
One day we will find a do it all no compromise monitor... (One day.... over the Monitor Rainbow....) lol like the song.
I finally got Neo G7, can you help me and provide best settings to use? Hdr on or off? I use Windows 11 with Rtx 4090
Hey would you say it is worth to order 2 Monitors and have a look on wich one is brighter ? Is the difference worth it ?
2020 g7 has better reds im just sticking to my g7s maybe ill try thr lg 45 oped monitor but idk
why should i trade 240hz vs 165hz when i play competitve fps and i see more sharpend details in brightness to help me better aim so i stick def to the g7
Hey Viktor, Can you do a head to head comparison between Neo G7 and Inzone M9 with the PS5 as soon as you get the M9 ?
My OG G7 is still going strong
Yes.. My OG G7 will still be top 5.
What is the OG?
Thanks victor 🙏
I just purchased the neo g7 for my birthday gift to myself. Would you recommend playing games in SDR vs HDR? I'm hooking it up to my series x. Cheers bro and keep up the good work.
Im too late but still... Happy Bday friend.. May your G7 bring you so much joy... I honestly mostly play in sdr. Its brighter. I do keep local dimming on High for sdr so it gets brighter on certain scenes. I usually use custom with a black equalizer of 11-13. Everything else you decide what's best (Contrast on Cinema is too strong)
@@DisplayReality not late at all man cause today is my birthday (: I appreciate your feedback bro
Hope to see you review the new LG OLED Flex 42"
That would be amazing to see in person. The future is finally here..
If you dont need 400+nits brightness or if you currently keep your brightness under 70% this is great.
theres so many issues with odyssey monitors that i wont buy any of em.
i want to see a neo g7 vs 32gq950
Would you recommend for PlayStation 5 the Odyssey G50A or this BenQ ex2510S ??
Get the G50A. Its brighter and way more impressive overall. I have the ex2510 (non S) which is the same minus the higher refresh rate. I would get the G50A all day.
@@DisplayReality thanks bro, I'm going to keep the Odyssey G50A, the only negative point I saw in it is that it doesn't have sound
@@Ab-ru1ew do you think it worth the upgrade from the OG g7 getting rid of 240 for the 4k ?
Unfortunately lost the panel lottery colors are washed screen not as bright..
@@shawnydee_ gotta adjust settings and also auto local dimming forces to high so will be more faded on edges with a black or darker background
I wish they made a 28" neo g7
Swapped from display port 2 to dp1 input and it worked
im thinking between alienware 2721d and odyssey neo g7... i really dont know what to choose
A little more = more than 2x more and no... it's not $1 -> $2 either...
Semi Matte on the Neo G7 really is helpful like you say with Reflections.
still worth it? i have a 768p 32inch 60hz tv since my original monitor broke lol
I had this same issue
Which would be a better choice of value? Odyssey G70B for £640 or the G7 Neo for £832?
Which G70B 27 or 32. But regardless the Neo G7 is a better deal. That image on the Neo is so good vs the G70B.
this video is almost 2 years old, is there really nothing newer on the VA panels that has come out in all this time??
still looking for a newer 4K VA panel to upgrade from my older non-gamer 60hz one.. this is how I got to this old video now.
What cable should I use for PC gaming hdmi 2.1 or Dp 1.4 for the samsung neo g7?
Display port for me has had no issues.
How does cinema preset crush the image?? Do you mean it's over saturated?
The cinema preset does not let you adjust the black equalizer. Sometimes in certain scenes the image has a black crush to it. Thats why custom is best as you can adjust everything to your liking. I use BE of 11-12 on custom. Cinema is a set preset. Even 13 on custom looks not as crushed as cinema 13. Black crush meaning shadow detail.
Whiche better do you think sony inzone m9 or samsung g7 neo ??
I'm getting the m9 soon but the Neo G7 has more zones. The M9 is flat and I like that and want to test 96 ips zones.. plus the m9 is really made for ps5. That sync capability in hdr mode looks like a great feature.
G7 neo is better but the Sony is cheaper. The Sony is a good option if u wanna stay below 1000eur/dollar
For a PS5 Odyssey G7 for $494 or Neo G7 for $1065?🤔🤔
G7... that's a huge price difference.. the G7 does everything except peak highlights and 4k120hz which the Neo is best for.
@@DisplayReality thank you so much for the info. I think that was the main thing that was holding me back. I'm going to be ordering the neo g7 soon.
Which games was that at the end of video? :)
They were elden ring and Warhammer chaosbane both on Xbox but they are on ps5 and pc..

Don't you just leave it on standby? Mine turns off after a minute. Then when I turn on my pc or console it turns on...
What are your thoughts on the longevity of the neo g7 vs the VA panel? I am leaning towards the old G7 due to no maintenance required. Is it true I have to disable my taskbar to reduce risk of burn in?
guys plz help me. i have problem with eyes . what setting do you suggest i use when using this neo g7 in sdr mode? and also please settings for hdr mode. thank you good sir

Don't use 100 brightness, use 40-50. Local dimming on these numbers looks great except spot light in pitch black scenes
Anyone know which one would be better for the xbox series x
With the 4k version cant I also do 1440p?
You can lower res to get more performance.. sure no issues
Can you please tell me the best settings for the neo g7 for next gen consoles , I can't seem to find the right sweet spot , some images are too dark and others too bright and some colours just seem way off , it's quite disappointing for price of this monitor im hoping there are tweaks I can do to make it worth while

No problems just differences with the local dimming zones. The one on the Left can hold its own vs the right Neo g7. But the neo G7 is better in everyway..
Neo g7 is 10bit or no?
Shame on you, with this video, you give me the envy to buy a NEO G7! 😛 One question, please, i have a RTX, is the NEO G7 good for the G-Sync?

@@DisplayReality Ok I think I understand. You have two neo g7s but only one was shown on screen alongside og while you were talking about the two neos, then you switched to talking about the neo vs og while they're still on screen. You used some of the comparison footage instead of b-roll that would show both neos compared for context before getting into the comparison itself. That's where the confusion was while I skipped around. I like that you checked your video to make sure though. Now I'll rewatch knowing that and see your comparison because it looks good. Thank you
Now that PS5 has 1440p do you think the OG G7 is a good option? I only want it for Warzone (1440p@120hz).
Yea... that new G8 OLED design should be the new approach. That looks really nice.

Neo g7 white screen, it iş not real white, it is yellow-white
The Neos will show it this way vs another monitor that can achieve higher. Flashes are no problem but actual white screens with a slow transition this is what you get and abl kick in. I have both neo 7 and 8 vs another monitor this is what happens... The brightness on the Neo cannot compete vs another capable monitor in full white screen. I have shown this in other videos.

why does he have to say OG G7 instead of G7? we all know what monitor you're referring to...
