Got this one a month ago. First I thought it was an overkill (came from 32" IPS LG). Then I got rid of the stand and bought a wall mount which moved the monitor another 10cm away. Now I have the monitor cca 110 cm from my eyes. And it became small over that month. Would go for 48" if it wasn't OLED. Anyway, this G7 is a little slow when changing modes but I can live with that. What I noticed and is apparent also in Viktor's video is that the edges of the screen are a little dimmer, like 5mm from the end of the screen. Not an issue but it is noticable on a white screen, and on windows bars using light theme. You can also notice some BGR issues on text but it is manageable. Overall, great monitor. I have another month to return it but I'll most likely keep it as there is no comparable alternative. Went for 4090 so relatively big 4K is a must.

Can you please show some 'real world' usage of this monitor for things like browsing RUclips or text? Would love to get this monitor, but I need it for productivity purposes as much as I do for gaming. You've done a great job showing off the monitor for gaming purposes, but it's unlikely anyone is getting a monitor like this exclusively for gaming.

You need to try the Innocn 27M2V (or the 32" variant, but both have the same amount of dimming zones (1152), so blooming is less noticeable on the 27". I thought the 32" Neo G7 was going to be irreplaceable for me for a while, but the 27M2V changed that (although the HDMI seems buggy right now, so, for the 27" version at least, I would only recommend this for P.C./display port). I think you'd love it.

@@DisplayReality Yeah, I guess I got lucky in getting it when I did (due to it now being so hard to find). I haven't had any issues with it on P.C. (using the display port), but it is currently is buggy with the PS5 and Xbox Series X when using HDR. Also, the blooming is a little more noticeable than on the Neo G7, but there isn't a brightness limiter, so that's probably why. It still isn't bad though and does not bother me in the least.

The flex I did just try it. Basically in the options menu you can move the picture anywhere on screen at a smaller size. Now I did not try 2 inputs or multiview (not sure if it even works) but say you wanted a 32" etc... you can move the screen anyhwere on the monior. Since its a 43" you get alot of space..

So I bought this after watching this review and while I am overall pleased with the performance, I have 2 deal breaking issues:
    1. I cannot for the life of me get the monitor to wake up properly (no signal) after my PC has gone idle and turned off the displays. I know this is a monitor issue, because my second monitor next to it wakes up just fine.
    2. The monitor randomly resets my brightness settings (no this is not local dimming or auto brightness)
There seems to be no information related to these issues on the interwebs, so I am strongly considering returning it.

Hey, I'm planning to purchase this product, I am looking for a specific PC monitor that is both for gaming with faster response time and High HZ between 144HZ-240HZ and 4K which also has the SmartTV OS and I am debating between the Monitor here and between the Samsung Odyssey G7 S28BG700EP 4K which is also with SmartTV OS but a little smaller and is an IPS panel, compared to MINI LED here, Should I pay more for this Monitor? G70NC (S43CG700) is it truly worth it? Are there any advantages visually and in terms of response time? Is the panel considered a significant upgrade?
Another thing, I plan to upgrade my GPU from 980TI to RTX 4080 and the G70NC screen (S43CG700) does not support G-SYNC. Is this something significant or is it possible to manage with FreeSYNC on NVIDIA cards and it will give the same result as the G-SYNC?

    Hi, great review!
I am looking at purchasing triple 43" monitors, primarily for simracing (iRacing & ACC), but I'm also a huge Gran Turismo fan, so Burn in is a serious issue for me. I currently own a single ASUS XG43UQ, but its picture is disappointing, and the bezels are way too thick for triples.
You've answered most of my questions here, but I have one more:
I know it only says it supports FreeSync, but I was wondering if it still supports Gsync as some other NEO monitors do even though they don't mention it?
    I'm asking as I'm running a 4090.
If not, do you have any other recommendations? (Remembering burn in & bezel width, Gsync much desired)
43" is the perfect size for me as it's big enough for my console racing/gaming on the single centre, but not too big for triples. 32/34" just doesn't cut it for competitive racing Esports when using a single monitor with my simrig.

The issue that was the deciding factor to return it was when my PC would go to sleep and I would wake up my PC the monitor would turn on but then go directly to the screen with the countdown because no external device was found. I would either need to unplug and replug the HDMI/DP cable or power off my PC. I tried about five of each, HDMI 2.1 (certified) and DP 1.4 cables just to make sure it wasn't a cable issue.

Went from a Samsung 49" CRG9 (5120x1440) to this one. The ghosting is pretty bad on this screen. Not sure if it's bad enough for me to return it yet. The picture also looks like crap out of the box - but it can be adjusted to the point where it really looks fantastic. Very pleasantly surprised by the black levels and the colors look spectacular. Really wish it had less ghosting though. Surely a deal breaker for many gamers.
It's the only real issue I have with it so far. I do not care for the TV style menus either, but I can live with it. They also could have thrown some physical buttons on the monitor - not even a power button to speak of. If you lose the remote, you are out of luck.

I have a 50" neo qled. I also find the tv menus annoying. Every time you turn it on, the pop-up TV menus sit there for about 5 seconds too. Right in your way. Also, the TV doesn't show the pc boot up sequence at all.. no boot, no post, no menus.. when there is a boot issue.. you get blue screen.

Just an fyi, in the video you said the monitor had 360 local dimming zones, but I someone I know contacted Samsung to ask them about it and they said the monitor actually has 1196 zones. Maybe your info is accurate, but just wanted to let you know

So which one would you recommend for gaming. Neo g7 32 the Neo g8 or this 43. I want something with good blacks. I know op-eds are the best but I just can’t get over how low in brightness they r. I want something over 144 hrz with 4k. Price not an issue or size.

Ill try for a vs vid with the neo g8 but from all 3 I prefer the Neo G7/8. They have better panel speed and have brighter highlights. But this size is nice as many want a bigger experience. The only nicer option would be say an oled C3 42" with updated smart features. But that burn in may still be an issue.

Generally no issues which matter. You might encouter some text-sizing issues but the reason would be more likely the scaling function in Win 10, rather than the BGR matrix itself despite there are rare occasions when I'd blame the BGR. Rumor has it that it have been (almost) resolved in Win 11. Haven't tried it though.

Second had 9 dead pixels so finally 3rd one was good and I can say neo7 is incredible monitor 👍👍
It's super bright I putted the brightness on 90% not even 100%

I am playing Days Gone again on this monitor and and I'm like wow; this is how HDR is supposed to look with absolutely no blooming. Of course the big HDR test is alway Resident Evil Village with its super dark atmosphere. This monitor passes with flying colors. I would say go with the Innocn considering they are the parent company; which I learned in the last few months. I had never heard of Innocn before my purchase. The more research I did I found that the Innocn was a better choice when it came to the infamous "panel lottery" lol . Like no dead pixels or any issues with the panel at all. Which I am so picky about. Great video's man. I watch them all! Ps---(The controls on the Innocn and Red magic are super old school. Lol you will see what I mean when you buy one; but you get use to it)

You state quite clearly in your opening remarks that the Odyssey Neo 7 IS A TV NOT A MONITOR. You can't showcase features and capabilities that don't exist. We can therefore assume that this is the reason other "reviews" of this TV never bothered to document the multitude of deficiencies and missing features that must be corrected before it can legitimately qualify a monitor..
Samsung has gone to such great lengths to label what is clearly a "TV" as a "monitor" in its product descriptions, marketing and outrageously high pricing that it begs the question: How big of a lie does a corporation have to tell before it is called to account by the Justice Department...
Just so we are clear the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 IS NOT A MONITOR! It is, as the author admits, in point of fact nothing more than another stripped down and overpriced TELEVISION masquerading as a "monitor"... The reason that so many comments claiming this is basically a QN43QN90B/C have popped up all over the net is simple: Samsung's marketing department is hoping that these comments will lend justification for the high pricing and complete lack of a monitor feature set...I admit to initially having erroneously concluded this myself.
Just an FYI: The reason that TV manufacturer's operating systems are slowing down is simple. Every extra second they can force users to view their advertising is over time worth millions of dollars in ad revenue...
