Thank you so very much appreciated these ghosting effects are not a deal breaker for me at all. You just helped me make my decision in buying this monitor.
Great to know, VA panels are known to have those issues so it's not exclusive to it, i personally like the contrast more on it than the LG C2 , specially if u enable contrast enhancer in picture settings !
Im considering this monitor at some point, but since its primary purpose will be for gaming and occasional TV streaming, the text scrolling issue and ghosting are basically non issues for me being that the brightness, colors, reflections, size, etc far outweigh the cons for my use case. I already knew that some of what we were seeing in this video were due to the camera. Anyway, great video. It looks like an awesome monitor that I think is a bit better than the Aorus 43".
I apologize if my camera isn't capturing the real situation but it's actually not great in real as well, when text scrolling ghosting effect is really an eye catcher, it's very frustrating and makes you want to avoid scrolling all together at least in my case but as you said for gaming and entertainment it's 10/10 I'll do my best to improve my equipment in future videos! As a new channel there's still a lot to learn and improve I appreciate your comment 🤗
The weird thing about this monitor is you see smear and ghosting with the UFO test, and your mouse cursor in windows has ghosting and some black smear if you move it quickly....but in practise, playing games?...its fantastic.
@TECHOSAUR Hello friend, to play PS5 or PC games the panel as you have it configured, standard response, fast response or extreme response? and which one do you recommend.
Hello! I am not sure if you have checked the other video: ruclips.net/video/1c-vFei7AwM/видео.html I showed my settings around part min 5:38 and then part 2 9:46 PS5 settings 13:50 what I found best is Faster response time, because with extreme I saw some blurring I felt the best experience on Faster, but check if you have a different software version, mine was 1470
Going from an "old" VA monitor (Samsung CRG9 49"), I figured this G7 would at least be on par with that. It was not. Far slower. But the colors and black levels are miles above on the G7, so I forgive it. The perfect monitor does _not_ exist. You have to pick out one with faults you can live with.
That's absolutely true Each display technology comes with downsides, i think for gaming this monitor is great but for intense productivity like making word documents etc it's hard to not notice the ghosting when u go up and down I suggest you look into the QN90C 43" I've been using it for a month and i think it fixed my odyssey Neo G7 ghosting issue to a degree
@@TECHOSAUR I see that's an actual TV (capped at 120hz too it seems), and it's twice as expensive to boot. For that price, it should have been a good OLED panel, in my opinion. I'm pretty happy with the Neo G7 - it's more of a stop gap monitor anyway until they either perfect OLED to the point where it's safe to buy, or make VA quick enough that it can compete (I'm more than happy with the black levels VA can produce after I got this one).
Just FYI if you have the Monitor set to 144Hz and are filming, cameras are able to pick up the flicker MUCH better than the human eye can. If you set the Monitor to 120 and film it you no longer see a white flickering while filming.
@@TECHOSAUR Yes, it seems to be that they are Overclocking the Refresh Rate from 120Hz-144Hz or something along those lines anyway. The RUclips Channel "1 Up Nerdcore" has a few videos on this Monitor and in each of them he says that he has set the Monitor to 120Hz because otherwise the Camera picks up White Flickering.
i have same this monitor but i can't turn on the HDR on, HGIG option is grey and can't click it and when i do it says this function isn't available. plz help. BTW i use a PC
Did you check your HDMI cable or DisplayPort? It should support higher bandwidth. Be careful, some brands claim their cables are certified with ultra-high speed, but it's fraud. Check if another cable solves it. Is it HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4?
I had to sell it a few months ago to review others, but when I had it, it did not get any updates for months while TV models like the QN90C 43" of a similar size got more updates

ODYSSEY NEO G7 43" , m28u , dell 3223q or oddysey g7 28", which one would you prefer? They all same price. I will use it with rtx4080 and ps5 as a main monitör. I can't realy decide. Can you help?
It depends on which size you prefer , the ones u mentioned are not quite similar they different sizes between 28,32, & 42 It comes down to what you prefer but for console gaming i think bigger monitor counts more and beside the G7 neo is mini LED and in terms of contrast it's better, among those i would take odyssey G7 43" every day I would say, give it a try
Hi mate! i got a really good deal to buy this monitor brand new, I already have an odyssey G70a and i love it, but i dont know if it will be worth it to replace it with my new G70NC, i use it mostly for PC videogames, including competitive games. What would you recommend?
I think if you care a lot about Size it is obviously a good upgrade, in terms of display coating the Neo G7 has the best anti-reflection matte coating I've ever seen on a monitor and TV, has amazing contrasts and deep blacks, also it has smart features and connect over youtube, Netflix etc.. will be great if you find it for a good deal, but since its 144hz not sure if for competitive games its enough for you, I think for that case you would need lower resolution display with higher response rate and low input lag, this one has some input lag, but overall its a very appealing Monitor/TV, I loved it, just ghosting effect wasn't that good
@@TECHOSAUR thank you for your response! Finally I'm going to change a 43 inch smart tv to the neo G7, maybe it's too late to ask lol but what do you think about media that is not at 4k? Does it look good? Talking about 1080p series and movies
Trying to decide between a 34 curve or this 43 for gaming and some little web work but mostly trying to get something that is flexible. I don't know if 43 inch is to be or should i go for a 34

I think for you as a sim racer, latency matters, so I think you need to stay away from VA panels as they have the highest delay. Since you want a monitor bigger than 32 inches, I think there are no QD-OLEDs bigger than 32 inches, so your option could be an OLED like the LG C2, C3, or C4. I've recently reviewed multiple TVs that can be used as monitors. ruclips.net/p/PLg8ANjUNzqfP82x1mxLdS7Th3YiFlsyn1&si=Oy56blavVmIJlSGX Check this playlist. It has reviews for the C4 and QN90C, QN90D from Samsung, but they're VA panels. The LG C4 seems like what I would personally pick in your case.
Thanks for the review. Could you please tell me the bezel width? In pictures it looks like the bezel is relatively thin, but it seems like the picture doesn't fully fill the screen, particularly on the sides & top - or is that just an illusion & the bezel is actually thicker than it looks? This is very important for me as I'm looking at buying 3 as a triple monitor set-up, primarily for simracing. The bezel free kits can only cover so much. If it's too thick I'll be looking at the QN90C.
the Neo G7 43" and the QN90C 43" have the same bezel width which is 3mm, both are very thin but the Neo G7 bottom is thicker given the 2 RGB zones and i forgot to say that i like the two of them but i would recommend you check my review of the QN90C 43" ruclips.net/video/Dgpc4dB9xfQ/видео.html i apologize if the camera quality isnt great, but you might get an idea about some differences thanks for your comment
@TECHOSAUR Thank you very much for that information! I've currently got a single ASUS XG43UQ as my main, but its bezel width is 9mm! The picture quality also isn't as good as a Mini LED, but burn in is a serious issue for me due to the HUD on the 2 different games I spend most of my time playing (GT7 on PS5 & iRacing on PC). I'm looking forward to if you ever do a review of the QN90C 43" as well. Here in Australia, they are about $100 cheaper.
Hey thanks for the video! I’m thinking of getting this product or the odyssey g70B 32 inch how this compares to this monitor? Is ghosting appear also on the g70B? The mini led make it even better quality although there’s less pixel per inch? By the way there’s no g sync on this one right? I own a Nvidia gpu so might be a deal breaker also what about game motion plus? It’s available on both models? Thanks!
I previously owned the G70A, which is quite similar to the G70B in terms of panel technology the G70B has an upgrade of having TIZEN OS and is 32". I can confirm that ghosting wasn't present on the G70A, it uses IPS display technology, while the Neo G7 43" uses VA technology. The G70B/A lacks mini-LED, which makes them inferior in terms of brightness and contrast ratio to the Neo G7 43", which also has HDR 600 instead of 400. While the G70B/A is G-sync compatible, the Neo G7 43" isn't, but it has AMD FREESYNC. I'm hopeful that NVIDIA will release a driver soon which makes it G-SYNC COMPATIBLE, but I don't have a date for that. The Neo G7 43" has a higher pixel density of 104 PPI compared to the G70B's 93 PPI. Lower is better, Despite its size, the 43" display still looks sharp and crisp in 4K. If you're choosing between the Neo G7 43" and the G70B, I highly recommend the Neo G7 43" if for a good price However, I plan on reviewing and comparing it to the Samsung QN90C, which is a newly released 43" mini-LED TV. It will be interesting to see if there are any differences between a monitor marketed as a 43" and a TV marketed as a 43". also to see if the QN90C suffers the text ghosting as Neo G7 43" the Neo G7 43" has game motion plus but I can't use it on PC, it seems to work only on consoles like PS5
@@TECHOSAUR hey thanks for the reply! First of all in Terms of picture quality the g70a is less inch so higher pixel per inch which means better sharpness right? The more inch the less picture quality I mean, so the Mini led on the g7nc worth it? It make up for it? It’s about 14 inch different! And the game motion plus will be work on the g70a or B in any terms? Even for pc? And for the g7nc only while playing on the ps5? By the way do you have maybe the dimensions of the stand only of the g70a? The height dimension, I want to make sure I have available space for my setup! Thanks again 🙏🏻
@@YGadgETech Indeed, the G70A has a smaller size, resulting in a higher pixel density and a sharper image. However, a 43" 4K display still offers clear and crisp text and visuals. The Mini-LED technology is certainly worth considering, as it provides improved brightness accuracy due to the higher LED count. In addition, the NEO G7 43" model features around 360 local dimming zones compared to the G70A's mere 16 zones. This results in a superior HDR experience, particularly in darker scenes. As for Game Motion Plus, it was not available on my G70A, and I cannot confirm its presence on the G70B. However, I can verify that the NEO G7 43" supports Game Motion Plus for consoles like the PS5, although the option is greyed out for PCs. Regarding stand dimensions: G70A 28" with stand: w63 x h57 x d24 cm G70B 32" with stand: w71 x h60 x d31 cm width x height x depth
@@TECHOSAUR thanks again do you have dimensions for the stand only? Without the monitor I mean because there’s a gap between the desk and shelves I’m planing to put this monitor in it will really help me out as nobody here on my country could help me with that even at stores there’s no monitors for display at all by the way what do you think on the LG OLED Flex have u got to try it yet? Which do you think will do better job this or the Samsung? G43nc do LG have a competitor setting for Samsung’s game motion plus?
@@YGadgETech I apologize but I can only provide you with the dimensions of the stand for the G7 NEO 43" monitor at this time. The stand measures 25 x 22 cm, and the overall height of the monitor with the stand is 63 cm, with the height of the stand alone being approximately 7 cm. While the LG OLED Flex is a dream for everyone, I feel that it's overpriced. I previously had the LG C2 42", which has a similar panel to the OLED Flex and performed well for media consumption and gaming. However, it wasn't ideal for my use case, as I happen to use static image software like coding or video editing, it starts to dim after some minutes if you leave a static image to protect itself against burn-in, and also the auto brightness limiter in white windows like when browsing the internet is kind of annoying. I also experienced issues with my C2 42", as it stopped working after five months then LG fixed it under warranty, but 2 weeks after they send it back it sustained a small knock to the bottom corner while I was moving it and LG refused to fix it as it was considered damage caused by me. If you are considering the LG C2 42", I suggest checking for enough space and avoiding placing it in an area where it could be easily damaged. It's a fragile monitor compared to other options. when i had it i constantly had to worry but anything and my doubt happened to be real as i lost it after 5 months, so i think a MINI-LED monitor for me hit the spot
Great videos and also thank you for responding to the comments. I see this video has been shared for a long time and the comments are old and I might not get a response but I'll ask anyway and maybe someone can help. Is this screen suitable for movies. I am looking for two monitors or TVs that are at least 32 inches or one large screen of 65 inches with the possibility of making it into two separate screens. I don't play games and don't intend to. I watch movies and edit videos. These are the two things I need it for and I don't know what would work for me OLED or some other screen. Any recommendations?
Hello, this monitor is primarily designed for gamers due to its high refresh rate of 144Hz. If you primarily watch movies, consider a 60Hz monitor to get one with a lower price and higher color grading. This one is intended for gaming and consoles. However, I personally use the Samsung QN90C 43", which is a small-form-factor TV. It also has a high refresh rate and an excellent HDR experience. It has fewer ghosting issues than the Neo G7 if you use it for web browsing and desktop use. I have used it for all purposes, including work, gaming, video editing, and coding, and I have been using it for a year. I like it for its deep blacks and local dimming; it feels very similar to OLED blacks and yet is brighter thanks to mini-LED. You can watch this review here: ruclips.net/video/Dgpc4dB9xfQ/видео.htmlsi=9a4mUZw_M9NzwFBn
Interesting review it looks like it preforms similarly or slightly worse than the old FV43U. I have noticed that in a lot of places throughout the recording there is strong flicker makes me wonder if this is using a PWM backlight dimming system.
I just learnt about PWM backlight dimming thanks to you, is there another type that is better for local dimming ? You are right because when the screen is total dark especially there's always an ever slight flickering when there's some white elements appearing and disappearing above all when i have local dimming on high, it's like in-out effect of the dimming and brightness
@@TECHOSAUR I had the QN90B TV and it uses the same PWM backlight which caused me a lot of eyestrain. Samsung are notorious for using PWM on their TVs so given that this is based on a tv it probably has the same 960HZ flicker drawbacks. A lot of mini LED monitors use PWM because its easier and cheaper to control a lot of backlight zones with PWM vs DC dimming. There is no easy way to know if a display uses PWM dimming other than to get one and test it. There is the FV43u which is the same size but without Mini LED that uses a DC backlight.
@@callum2277 oh okay, i had no idea about PWM and DC dimming, quite interesting, but when you go with the FV43U for the good dimming you traded off MINI-LED that gives better contrast, do you think the QN90C is worth to compare to the NEO G7 ? i'm thinking getting it to learn the difference since they both have 43"
@@TECHOSAUR I owned a QN90A 50" which had great colours and contrast but the PWM would give me migraines. I also own the GP27Q mini-LED and that has minimal flicker and great performance after the new firmware update but its only 27". I was hoping the Samsung 43" would make a nice upgrade to the FV43U but the flicker is a deal breaker. I find the FV43u exhibits similar ghosting/performance to your video however I use it more as a TV/console display. I would imagine they are very similar after all 300 zones is not good for 43" plus the fv43u can get brighter. I would rather have a C2 OLED but it would burn in so quickly with my work.
I'm checking it frequently and up to this date the latest version is "1470" and the ghosting is still present. so far since I got it there was no software update...

@@YGadgETech
Indeed, the G70A has a smaller size, resulting in a higher pixel density and a sharper image.
Regarding stand dimensions:
G70A 28" with stand: w63 x h57 x d24 cm
G70B 32" with stand: w71 x h60 x d31 cm
width x height x depth

Can we use this monitor for browsing and check your e mail ?
Yeah sure
i only get a bit of ghosting when scrolling really fast..never see it anywhere else. it is a great monitor overall
When the image changes dynamically you can feel this, especially in the games
How’s the ghosting in game ? Is it bad ?
Not at all, in gaming no ghosting shows up, mostly in text scrolling so desktop use
it seems an RGB type panel, right?
BGR
It's a TV with a Displayport input. You might as well get a better TV for a monitor.
It has a matte display that's usually not the case with TVs, for many people it's a point to consider
Bro can u show how to enter the build in window?
Sorry for the late reply. What do you mean by the build in window?
What about viewing angle?
It's a VA panel. If you look from any side at, like,, you see the image becoming too dull and losing lots of details.
are there any firmware updates so far, fixing this ghosting?
I'm checking it frequently and up to this date the latest version is "1470" and the ghosting is still present.
so far since I got it there was no software update...
@@TECHOSAUR damn its on sale now too
@@dnsean03 aside that issue i like it, it's still the best monitor in this size that I'm aware of
If it's on sale get it and in case u don't feel happy u can return it, but give it a try, by time you won't notice the ghosting and in HDR gaming it's delivering awesome experience
@@TECHOSAUR I've already tested 2 day 1 and another off amazon tho.. I noticed alot more ghosting than you did
@@dnsean03 really ?didnt know it gets worse even more, did you check software version ?
the current one 1470
Where is viewing angles test??
Sorry !
It's a VA Panel, doesn't have good viewing angles, it's best to sit in front of it
One day, I hope, va panels will have reduced ghosting as a result to having higher response time.
Yeah but the QN90C is better in response time, I've been using it and it's great
@@TECHOSAUR can you change Black Level on PC mode? Mine can't do that and it's frustating me
@@RifqiFavian do you have game mode on ?
@@TECHOSAUR yes, and it's still grey. I can't change it
@@RifqiFavian try to change from PC mode to like console and disable game mode and see if it unlocks
Is it good for ps5?
Yes very good, I played horizon forbidden west and colors were so popping and at night I liked black levels, awesome HDR experience IMO
@@TECHOSAUR Thx
@@TECHOSAUR is the ghosting a real problem on it?
Yello fringing on mouse as well I have noticed myself, on windows and on games where you have mouse cursor involved
Yeah it's the king of ghosting after all 👻
But the contrast enhancer is cool, it makes the contrast nicer than previous displays i had
@@TECHOSAUR its unfortunate, the odyssey ark has alot less ghosting. And no fringing..
@@dnsean03 is it also a VA panel ?
@@TECHOSAUR yes of course 165hz though, has half the amount of ghosting but too expensive and big for my taste
@@dnsean03 yeah you are right
I'd rather get a QD-OLED TV at 55 "
But monitor sizing is getting out of hand so 42 " is maximum for me
