Thanks for the video, very informative really helped me to decide !
if u use loseless scaling on pc u can even double your fps in obs projector window
Great tip! I'll give it a try, very genius idea if it works
I have 12b microcode so I can't set core voltage offset. And everything is set low.
Your bl4ck levels look really off on both displays. Should have provided the lagom bl4ck level test on both displays so we can see whether your displays are accurate or not. Alan Wake 2 is not supposed to be that dark. I think you are just introducing bl4ck crush.
It could be the camera, because in reality, Blacks were not as dark. You know, capturing videos for TVs requires a very good camera to see the true image. Plus, RUclips decoding sometimes reduces image fidelity. But I blame it on myself and camera. I don't have a DSLR yet. I use my S24 Ultra phone. For that one, I used the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but now I changed back to the S24 Ultra because I noticed it took better videos. It has a better sensor. I'm trying to save up to get a proper DSLR. I hope it will be soon, but I noticed that in the footage of Alan Wake 2, Blacks are very weird on both; in reality, it was much clearer. I'm sorry
Hello, do you still have access to these cpus? If you could do a test of Cities Skylines 2, not fps, but rather the "simulation speed" in any big city which you can easily get from the the games mod page (between 100k and 1 million population). ill happily donate a small sum to see that happen, think it is an interesting video for a lot of people as well.
Thank you for commenting. Unfortunately, as a small channel, I rely on selling components to refresh content, and so my 7950X, 7950X3D have been long sold! However, I currently have a 9950X and very soon Intel Core Ultra 7 265K I may get a 9800X3D too let me know if you would like to see this same test on those CPUs, I'll be down for it!
@TECHOSAUR Hello friend, to play PS5 or PC games the panel as you have it configured, standard response, fast response or extreme response? and which one do you recommend.
Hello! I am not sure if you have checked the other video: ruclips.net/video/1c-vFei7AwM/видео.html I showed my settings around part min 5:38 and then part 2 9:46 PS5 settings 13:50 what I found best is Faster response time, because with extreme I saw some blurring I felt the best experience on Faster, but check if you have a different software version, mine was 1470
Is this video something you do instead of the xtu undervolting, or something you do in addtion to the xtu undervolting guide you made? ruclips.net/video/9K_IFx4PiVo/видео.html
It's different way to do only in BIOS instead of XTU When I do XTU, I keep everything in BIOS at default other than disabling undervolt protection in order to undervolt in XTU and enable DTT (dynamic tuning technology), disable VT-d and Intel virtualization, and I set load-line calibration to level 3 to have stable undervolting, also of course enable XMP for ram overclocking
If I want to have constant 43W instead 50w, what things should I change it? Love ur video, man 👍👍
This video is quite outdated!!! check this one out: ruclips.net/video/lD4m40VZawg/видео.html settings in smokeless tool in the SMU common options if you want 43W System Configuration: 45W Sustained Power Limit: 43000 Fast PPT Limit: 43000 Slow PPT Limit: 43000 Fast PPT Time Constant: 43000 System Temperature Tracking: 0 STAPM Boost Override: 1 STAPM Boost: 1 Tskin Time Constant (STAPM): 1000000000 TjMax: 105 SmartShift: Enable APU Only sPPT Limit: 43000 Sustained PowerLimit: 43000 FAST PPT Limit: 43000 Slow PPT Limit: 43000 then in Windows install any tool to configure TDP within Windows such as Handheld Companion or I usually Universal x86 tuning utility and set it as 43W in the video I shared with you, there's a part how I did it in OS and links to things I use I promise with this setup it will never go below your new power limit, I play like this for hours and tested it on ALLY, LEGION GO and ALLY X and you don't need to uninstall armory crate, I set a manual power profile, so you can control fan speed from there like usual, if you do those changes on BIOS it makes your changes hard to be overridden I'm glad you like the video, you deserve the best, friend
@@TECHOSAUR Thanks, man! You're de best. I gonna try what you taught me.
Great job! Just wished you could do some testing at multiple wattages as well. I know the APU will be starved, but it would be interesting none the less.
Thanks. You can check this previous one that has 30-45 watts with CPU boost on or off: ruclips.net/video/LnnJkkA2cQE/видео.htmlsi=UQspyp8T2uB2tab5 (LEGION GO CANNOT HANDLE MORE THAN 45W, IT SHUTS DOWN AT 50W). You can always use a combination of CPU boost off, and this will allow you to allocate more for the GPU or save more power like 5W, but after 2625 MHz, I don’t advise going beyond that at all, even if you have CPU boost off and 50 watts. At this point GPU becomes too power-hungry and inefficient and causes significant performance loss. In this video, I tried to focus on maximum performance possible, which is why I kept the CPU boost and GPU to 2575 MHz. It seems safe and performs well if u want to set a manual GPU clock
all say ally x better cooling but i see still over 90 degree in all setting in your video ... lol
They're right. Ally X has more silent fans and much better cooling than the Ally OG because, on the OG, I need to use a cooler plus max fans when using 50W, while with this one, I just need to max out the fans and don't use any cooler. If I use one, it will go down by 7°C, if not more. The Ally X landing page says technically what they improved in cooling
That's because laptops and small devices like the Ally/AllyX/LegionGo/etc. are designed to run to a max temperature. If you had larger coolers like on a PC you could move the heat faster but will how small the cooling solution is on these devices it's better throttle on temp then when the max is hit to get the best performance. Aim for a reason skin temp that doesn't burn the user or cause too much discomfort and go from there.
@@designgears sure desktops are going to be different for many factors such as power capacitor, VRM and cooling, but I'm impressed by ALLY X cooling system because fans are really small in dimensions and silent, its comparable to a laptop
Very useful guide. Thank you!
As always, you made good job 💪.

I have a 48" c2 since May 2023 on my PC. If the c2 is half the price in your country then you gotta buy it. The quality of the sound and image is amazing. If the difference is not that much then go for the c4 (panel looks brighter). Great video
Gold advice! Also C3 is an option for a good deal C4 is brighter due to chip improvement, but panel is probably the same
@@TECHOSAUR exactly and if you're not a big fan of AI stuff then you won't need a c4, at least not yet

hey i have handheld companion however its been updated and i cannot find the settings to change the watt. i found one thing called thermal power however it can only go to 30 watts... do i just downgrade handheld companion or what?
I haven’t used it for some time. I’ll check and let you know. I usually use the Universal x86 Tuning Utility u can adjust it there too
Try to avoid Samsung. Their motherboard ribbon cable have defect. Try to Google online, picture will have problem
what settings/mode are you using when testing the image quality? is gamemode on?
Yes game mode on
@ thank you, would you think that the c3 42 would perform closer to the c4?
@kenkum-f8n I skipped the C3, but I think the main difference since C2 is mostly all about the processor, and this year's model is focused mostly on AI picture mode and the expression enhancer, which are exclusive to the C4. So, this new processor helps to give a better image detail or brightness, but the panel seems the same. C3 has the dual PC monitor mode if you want that, but the C2 doesn't, for example. You will notice the most difference between all three is image processing, upscaling, and software features. I don't think the C4 is worth its original price if you can find either the C3 or C2 for a good deal, but if you find all three at a similar price, the C4 is the one to get
@ alright thank you for explaining!
This actually a very good video and a good comparison. Didn't expect a small channel to be this good.
Really? Thank you for your kind words. I love to help others learn about products as if they were with me 🙂
To my eye the Samsung is brighter and has more vivid colors, but even though the LG is not as bright, you can see finer details in the image in the LG.
True. Both are good in one aspect but weaker in another
But how many dimming zones does it have and is it fald or miniled
MiniLEDs As for dimming zones, I've heard 504
@@TECHOSAUR I google but cant really find any info on it. But the 65" got 720 zones. 504 sounds crazy high for a 43" tv
@haewymetal The QN90B 43 has 360 zones, but people had issues with it, so I remember they upgraded the QN90C 43 to 504 zones, and then the QN90D 43 has the same setup. If you think about it, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75 Monitor has 1,196 zones, so it may be possible. I tried that monitor; it's dazzlingly beautiful, but I wanted a bigger size
Thank you so much! This worked! I have spent days looking everywhere for a solution! Thumbs up! Thank you again!
glad to know, you are very welcome, have a good weekend 👍
I can't find a single thing about steam deck ram timings which surprises me

Wow is this motherboard good? I've still got to upgrade to x870E currently on x670E and I think I might get the hero.
@@TECHOSAUR yes. It is. And your settings worked. I have started wondering if I could go faster
@@xTypeNameHerex careful without long stablity testing its better to not push it too much, I'd suggest giving it some days of use
I think if after this and memory pool tweaks I could play cyberpunk at 720p, steam deck settings with fsr turned and it wouldn't drop below 60fps. Does anyone know the hynix timings?
can anyone confirm this?
آیا میتوان با اوورکلاک کردن کارت گرافیک 6900xt به قدرت کارت گرافیک 6950xt دست یافت؟
Can you tell me in English?
Hi! Why CLDO VDDP voltage with tweaked timings is 18.84V, not 11.3V as before?
10:23 in video
Voltages are inaccurate in the zentimings for those handheld types of memory controllers, so sometimes this reading, CLDO VDDP, reaches 42 V even at default settings. disregard the variation, as it is inaccurate.
@@TECHOSAUR understood. Thanks! Waiting for my legion go. I'll receive it next week. 16gb/1tb for 570$ (used)
What does the viewing angle look like?
Here I shared it. ruclips.net/video/YpIIazzqvMw/видео.htmlsi=GDVPptXzjyZrQL6F Minute 7:30
Thanks for video, I was hoping the QN90D had better viewing angles this year but shame it doesn't, I had a QN90C in past and was really impressed aside from that issue and it was a massive issue for me, seems like if I want a 42" the LG C* is still only choice
Yeah, the viewing angles are horrible on both the QN90C and QN90D, but since I use it sitting in front, I don’t mind it
@@TECHOSAUR I was using it on desk and even just moving my body slightly side to side would have a negative impact on it from what I remember
@Zillawill yes true, viewing angles are so bad also everytime i want someone to see something on screen they tell me they can't see well, it's annoying , i have to make them sit in front to see well, other than this issue i don't have anything, also in desktop did u get annoyed by ghosting as u scroll mouse wheel?
@@TECHOSAUR I can't remember tbh, I do remember the VA ghosting bugging me a bit but I put that down to using OLED for a long time
Is there an easy way to default these changes ?
They're a one-time set in BIOS, but if you reset settings to default or install a new BIOS version, they get erased. In the OS, you only need to set it above 30W, even with handheld companion if you don't use universal x86 tuning utility
AWESOME!!!
4 fps more with 85 gpu temp 😂😂😂
With every 5 W, there was roughly a 1 fps increase. It's to be expected, the APU sweet spot is already how they originally set it. Anything above that is extra and provides marginal gains. But it's great how the Ally X is not overheating at 50W, it can easily be used daily at 35-40 W

Sometimes one speaker just drop all sound or get very low, looks like game is to high for sounds of dolby. When i turn off cirrus in device manager, sound balance is okay, but bad and low quality.
Yes, my friend had this exact issue, and he fixed it by reseating the battery cable, the one that connects to the motherboard. It wasn't fully seated. He had the same issue as you. Make sure to remove it and put it in again, even if you never removed it before. He also was like this, but it seems it wasn't fully connected and was causing issues with one speaker.
@@TECHOSAUR Thank you, for advice. I try this few minutes ago and it didn't help 😞
Hello, I'm leaving a comment because I'm curious about how to set the TAS Even though 45w works, I don't get a TAS graphic score of 3200.. Is there any other setting?
What do you mean by TAS?
@@TECHOSAUR The translation is wrong😥 I'm talking about Time Spy
@@IllllIIlIl what score are u getting on it?
@@TECHOSAUR Got 3000 graphic score in 45W setting😢

QN90D is incredible! Wow! <3
Simple and clear , thanks
Glad to help, thanks for watching
bro i have a 12400f and i enabled dtt on my bios and installed the drivers including the missing ones and it still wont work is my cpu not good enough or what cause it doesnt say that my cpu is the problem it only says to determine that i have the latest drivers of dtt which i DO have and it still wont work
Intel APO is intended to improve CPUs with E cores. Your 12400F is made of 6 P cores and 0 E cores, therefore it is not intended for this model.
@@TECHOSAUR great so i upgraded to windows 11 for no reason. thanks intel!
For your information: I have modded my OG Ally with 32GB 7500MT/s Samsung chips. Interestingly the default settings shown by ZenTimings are exactly the same on my modded Ally compared to your default Ally X timings. I would have thought that there would we at least some difference because of Micron vs. Samsung. BeardyMcGee has posted his "tightest" Samsung 32GB 7500 timings, and for example tCL is down to 19. I will try these tight Samsung settings later this week probably.
But in case it didn't boot after setting memory timings, how can you recover it? I mean, like in mine, usually when it's stuck on the white ROG logo or I can't boot to the tool to fix it, I just take out the battery cable for a few seconds and the memory timings reset to default. In your modded one, what happens if you take out the battery cable?
Is there any timings for hynix?
Unfortunately, I only have one model, and it's a Samsung. In Europe, they sell them all like this unless someone from abroad lends me their Legion Go with Hynix, and I tune it and return it. It won't be possible
does TPM work for u? I have the same CPU but TPM 2.0 doesn't work for me although it's enabled.
I have it enabled in the BIOS and just checked using Run > tpm.msc, and it says, "The TPM is ready for use."
@@TECHOSAUR i guess my cpu has a problem because it doesn't work for me anymore. it used to work before but suddenly it disappeared and I have tried everything
@MobGamingYT try to do BIOS factory reset and re-enable TPM 2.0, might be stuck
@TECHOSAUR i tried almost everything. Toggling fTPM on/off in BIOS, re-seating the CPU, clear CMOS, re-flashing BIOS, fresh Windows installation. It just doesn't get detected in Windows. I also get a message "No Security Devices Found" under "Trusted Computing". Firmware TPM Switch is already set to "Enable Firmware TPM". I even tried flashing all bios versions one by one and clear CMOS for each. No luck
@@MobGamingYT what's ur motherboard?
after all blue screen TY
Sorry, did you change anything in the BIOS? Such as choosing load line calibration? I set mine to the middle option, level 3, on my board. You need to ensure that you do not have a big vdrop, as with lowering voltage, it will not be stable
@@TECHOSAUR newermind games do not accept OC as like Call of Duty thakyou at all
I did not believe it at first, but this really worked wonders on my 7950x3d in metro exodus. Thank you!
I love that game, it's hard for me to accept that it doesn't work well. By the way, this issue is the same on the Ryzen 9950X. I have to do the same tweak on it for some games with stutter ... :/
I ll buy 75 inch version soon but qn90c is 300$ cheaper in my country which one should i buy
for the 75-inch, you must not be planning to upgrade it soon. I think it's better to go with the QN90D, which has better AI capabilities for processing content and upscaling. You need this for your big screen; it will pay off!
