I think they might have two endings, one where you defeat the giant neighbour and let the shadow win, and one where you help the neighbour and kill the shadow.
If you beat it it gives you a achievement called like father like son
Maybe the shadow guy represents an abusive parent and the battle is a flashback/dream of a time they beat the neighbor as a kid and you have to help him recover/save him in it
Maybe the neighbour breaking the vase is him breaking a deal with the shadow guy
Maybe try and edit the final level so you can remove the blockage or add a way up.

Theory time everything has happend before you are the (kid) neighbor and the weird black flashie dude is what the current neighbor is, and it changes every time so you are the black flashie dude when he is a (kid).

the characters head being snapped back is a trick developers use to make a first person perspective without the head of the model in the way for cutscenes
I think the neighbor model is a placeholder and they are going to add a child model.

It feels like most of that fancy things happening in the neighbor's house is actually a nightmare our character has about something happend with his friend in the past that lead to this friend's death. And now we are trying to restore memory of what actually happend dack in a days and overcome some sort of guilt feeling or something of that kind.
You don't need doble jump in the "Final_thing". Just jump through the bars. That connects to the "finalbattle_sene" (you kick it).
Also the irony in looking at the main intro where you go to your house you see its the house the neighbor ends up having during gameplay. And the house you end up in is across the street. Still curious as to why the neighbor steals your house.

i have a theory
so in the scene with both the neighbor and the player looking through the window together, the neighbor seems like he turns to shush you and when IGP panned around the scene you can see the squiggly demon thing off to the side
so what if the squiggly demon thing has been tormenting/controlling the neighbor which is why he acts so weird (possibly throwing the player out of the house/switching the player to another house/etc. to PROTECT the player) and at the end of the game you two team up to stop him, making mr. squiggles the ultimate enemy? the neighbor is obviously frightened by the squiggly monster after he breaks the vase and then squiggles crashes down on the house and the player has to run around and protect him. you growing could be you trying to get to the size (or bigger) than squiggle man so you can fight him.
i don't know about some of the earlier versions like where you would end up in the grave but maybe that was the squiggle devil controlling the neighbor? idk i'm way too invested in this game

the base is maybe the shadow guys concealment and he turned to a kid and the kid is turning into an adult
igp move the thing you need to jump over in the editor it is posible because i know ue4 more than alot of people so just select it and move it down a bit and the wam you done bruh

the black bits on him are pieces of debree from the collision that killed his wife of killed him and the kid is dealing with
I think at the very end he misses his brother(neighbor) and goes the the graveyard to see his grave and the shadow dude might be the farther... just a theory

please try not to spoil stuff in the beggining and i know the reason you have it in the beggining but try to make it on something that wouldnt bother anyone to get spoiled or just dont have it at all
I think the reason your character walks up to the church is because the neighbor or a parent died (I believe the theory that the neighbor is your brother)

I have a theory what if the neighbor had kids but the black thing or the kidnapper kidnap them obviously and the kidnapper looks like the player so what if the neighbors trying to get the player for what the the actual kidnapper did there is lots of evidence like when you do the microphone thing and become the neighbor with the golden apple you see next to the Apple taker thing you see a sign with the with a statue with four kids one of them falling off and one of them is probably the neighbor being left behind but not other kid but of the adult and once you become the neighbor for a while you actually see the kidnapper kidnapping the children that's my theory it's a lot to take in👍

Will there be a mod that fixes the game so it isn't so broken. It seems like they couldn't make the game better, so they decided to outsource development.
I honestly think that this game should stay with the smaller houses because i loved the house in Alpha 2 and honestly i thought it was the peak before it started going downhill. Just because of the house being way too big and the puzzles impossible. Whereas, in the first couple Alphas there were even MULTIPLE ways to complete the puzzles to get to the basement. Not to mention in those houses, the neighbor was not just scary, but actually a threat. With the huge house hes more just an annoying game mechanic. Plus with the large house there's no way he can stop you with his AI which was the whole point the game was made on. Its now more about secrets and out-of-the-map glitch secrets than an actual game. I honestly just want this game to succeed and be a great game but it seems like its going to be a let down before it even comes out at the rate its going.
