IGP , The neighbor lost his wife in a car crash , then when the kids played the boy pushed off the girl of the roof (thats why he locked the ladder to the roof in the next act ) , he buried the girl in the back yard and locked the boy in the basement too protect his only child . Then he reported both of them missing

The point of having the map rendered in with the other nightmares, is because of level sequencing and so you can just have the character teleport around the world, or level. That way, when they want to do something like a nightmare, they can just switch a gamemode or have an event set up in the world BluePrints to cause the event to happen. And plus having it all rendered out all at once, it helps with loading and performance.

Maybe we pushed the girl from a roof (while playing?) and she died which is symbolized with the huge drop of the rollercoaster with the arms out and making her landing a coffin.

You were kind of right about the true story.
You were close. And I’ll say what it is.
You play as a son of a family ( not the neighbours ) . Your friends with the neighbour living next door, and they had a family.
2 kids, one daughter, one son. They play hide and seek together, and that’s when the darkness comes. After 2 Dinners in the Neighours family, the son started to act up. In the last round, the brother decided to hide. Up on the house with planks high above ground, The brother pushed the sister on purpose, but didn’t see the ledge behind them. And yes, the mother died in a car crash. After that, H
The neighbor locked the brother in the basement. The neighbor went insane over losing his family, and that’s how it all started.
Like so igp can see
the reason the map is still there is to save loading times so rather than loading stuff over again it just loads in small portions instead that are required for specific levels and areas and only unloads stuff when it needs to as well. Also Unreal uses static items which cannot be moved or deleted otherwise the lighting for that object will be wrong.

Maybe the rooms mean different builds of the game. The endings match up to the dreams. The car crash is like in the pre alpha (or alpha 1 I'm not totally sure) the grave digging is when you get burried alive. Dlub yaits match's up with alpha 3 when the neighbor is crying. The hospital doesn't match up though.

The begining is pre alpha and the green light was on the top of his house, when you beat the game. So you need to put the code in the pre alpha folders. My theory
Oh yea there is one..... if you hit the power button on the computer the screen shows black and it shows your face in the reflection, and if you look real close, you can see Ronald Mc D behind you in the reflection..... don't believe me try it out

See, this is MY problem with those dream/ nightmare sequences, you have people like IGN over here that have never seen some of them in their entire playthrough, and you have to replay the whole game to see it.

So pretty much he gets into an accident with his wife, then coming home without her after a couple days the son starts acting out causing him to accidentally knock her off the roof while teasing her hiding her doll and getting mad wen she found it. I didn't get any other info on after that besides you (the character) move in and hear/see him (and this is speculation) locking his son in the basement as a type of punish ment after nearly loosing it wen finding out he pushed his sister off the roof so not only loosing his wife but his daughter too the "shadow" is that son haunting his every move torturing him for the car crash that killed his mom blaming him for it. The son kidnapping and possibly killing all those missing kids sadly me peterson knows that his son is "dangerous" so he takes it upon himself to lock him away to protect the other people in the neighborhood he's then haunted by the grief of loosing his daughter and wife to death and his son to a psychotic break. Now I've never played it I've just watched you play it and a few dozen theory's plus the cut scene movie that was made I enjoy the story line and have MANY different theory's on what happened and is happening so dont read this and think it's absolute I'm simply spitballin what's going through my head
