- Bill Wilson tested the Lehigh Defense Xtreme Chaos .308 160-grain bullet. It was fired at an approximate speed of 2400 fps into a 7x7x24 inch FBI Ballistic Gel Block. It sheds 4 petals and the base expands and continues on. Bill shares the results with top gun instructors Ken Hackathorn and Paul Howe.
Xtreme Chaos bullets offer the best of both worlds when it comes to ballistic performance. The Xtreme Chaos will always shed 4 mostly straight petals and will retain more base weight than other bullets. This bullet is optimal for use in .308 Winchester and .30-06 Springfield.

I don't know if that's such a great hunting bullet. Admittedly I hunt with a higher power rifle than a 308 (I like the 7mm RM) I think this bullet would destroy a lot of usable meat .

I hope you'll make these available in a .277 bullet. I've used your controlled chaos bullets for several different animals with good success.
Hammer bullets has a great selection of.277 from light to heavy and they do the same thing. Shed all the pedals and send the core straight down the middle.
Will these be available in 175 gr, like the Controlled Chaos?

I've been thinking about something like this but a handgun round, basically a 32 round say a hst but with a fragmenting jacket around it sdo is a 9mm or 40 call with a 32 or 9mm expanding and fragmenting, all the way up to 50
Seems to be a good design, same thing Hammer Bullets is doing. Break off all the pedals and send the flat face of the bullet core straight down the middle.
I use the Underwood loaded 123gr 7.62x39 an 62gr .223 controlled chaos
So what does this all translate to in terms of damage on target? What about damage on target over 500 yards? How woukd this bullet perform in a 300wsm?

For copper bullets, the faster the better.
It looks good at 50.How does it expand at 250-350? Ive shot SST's for 15 years on deer because it blows up quick at all ranges.

Impressive bullet if you don't care about shrapnel througout your game. I prefer the monolithic bullets that retain almost 100% of their weight.
It’s just a few copper pedals that break free it’s not at all like having a lead core bullet disintegrate in the animal.
@@biggs8729 I'm sure that's true but I'll stay with a Barnes TTSx or similar. I've had good results with those.

But when shot through a shoulder / ribs….will it go through the bone to take the game out?
