Mack LR Heil RevAMP Side Loader

Recently I had to opportunity to film Heil’s newest ASL to hit the market. The Heil RevAMP is an all electric body. The RevAMP is hydraulic free aside from the 2 small cylinders for the tailgate. While running it, a few small hiccups were encountered, but it still did well. Both drivers that used it liked it which is pretty uncommon for drivers jumping into something that isn’t their truck. Overall I was pretty impressed by the RevAMP. Heil has big plans for this arm and body in the future and I’m excited to see what they will do with it.

Awesome video dude. This new arm design proves itself to be very smooth and fluid with its cycle, not being hindered by the jerky, laggy Heil system that plagues the Rapid Rail. This truck as a concept seems to be a way more reasonable option for companies who begin to venture into the EV world. Where a fleet wide charging system isn’t feasible this is still an excellent path to ease companies in to the body side of the EV market. Glad to hear the drivers enjoyed using it, but I’d also like to hear input from the shop/maintenance crew perspective.

I like Heil’s RevAMP! The design looks great, and the arm as well! I like it better than the Boivin Evolution. What I hate is the maintenance, if the arm breaks down it’ll probably require more maintenance than the Python. Great video and glad ACC had it!

Very cool to see this, the Revamp sure is miles better than their Commander that flopped! The arm looks sturdy and quick, although im not a fan of that packing mechanism, the truck looks to be working well. Hope these expand more.

What do these guys normally drive? Honestly not really a fan of the revamp myself, the arm looks like bent metal and it never lid flips. Nice job capturing this!

Usually drives a New Way Sidewinder. The arm may look a little funny but the design is very sturdy. Glad you enjoyed!
