You honestly hooked me into press ons like a year ago.....I make them all the time for me, for my employees, for my family and friends!!!! I still do dip, not so much sculpt anymore but love doing press ons!!!
Did you ever think when you first started that you would be a nail guru? I love your work and the way you break everything down ❤
Gorgeous!!
I love this color... great job from the best "weirdo" ever!!!🤗💅
Love this video thank you! I ordered my first set of press ons recently! But I want to start making my own just for me lol
Heck yeah! Go crazy, girl! Make ALL the press ons!! ❤️
Thank you for this video. I stared making press ons about 2 years ago. Started for a friend that lives too far away for me to do nail art on their nails so made in advance. Loved it so much, I now do this for myself. No more worrying about non dominant hand!! I would love to start my own profitable business doing this but love your tips and tricks, as always
I've been doing my own press ons for about 10 months, I love the flexibility of it. I can get at least a week out of them and I use the sticky tabs. Reusing them is also convenient. In my career in fashion I can match them to my outfits and have in the past change sets 3 times in one week. I love the set you did. 🥰
Pretty set! Funny I just looked up this glue and bam you posted a video on it! Perfect timing and I want to start doing my own thanks doll ❤
Ohhh girl! You are speaking my language with this color!
I love press ons. I have worn them since the 90s, although last year I really got into dip, so I've been doing that more. I keep watching you and wanting to get back into them though! I love how you make sets and use tabs and keep them. I always just put them on with glue and painted them and then threw them away.
I gotta give it a try!
The color is so pretty
So do you not have to put a coat of base gel down first before starting your color??
Got you in the fb group ❤️ but for anyone else wondering - nope! Gel adheres differently to extensions than natural nails so gel base isn’t “necessary” but you can if you prefer to
Marla, is it best to have short nails for press ons? It takes me a min to grow them out, but I want to try this. Will cut them down if need be.
I love the tip about the long bristle liners! Thank you!
Press ons are the ONLY way I can use gel since I'm allergic. Plus they are so much easier to create fun nails!!❤
Beautiful as always!! 💜
I just love your humor! I so get you! Love these press ons. I have all the stuff to make more press ons. I just need to start doing it. My only problem is most extensions are too long. I'll need to start cutting them. This color is beautiful! 💚
Those are cute! I might do a version of these, but on square nails.
I love the color. They are beautiful.
Gorgeous 🎉🎉
These are great. I'm sold on the press-on movement. I just have troubles with air bubbles in my glue products. The tabs don't have enough hold to survive a week at my job, but they're the bomb for special occasions. Thanks for sharing! Great job ❤
I love this color ❤❤
Such a pretty green color 😍
Fabulous video. ❤
Do you have to have shorty nails for press ons to work? Love your content, thanks for everything. 💕
I am doing them! 😅
I love making my own press-ons, I don't use anything else now. ❤
You mentioned using dip base coat to apply the nails, so it’s just as simple as layer of base and stick the nail on?
My issue with press-ons is finding sizes that fit my nails without having a lot of waste. I was able to get two weeks of wear out of the Impress. If I'm going to take the time to make my own it would be nice to find a brand of nails that fit better.
I said TWSS before you did! Baahahaha!
Love these! Thanks for all the great tips!!!
I have a question. Say you apply a set with glue and they are really staying on,can you file the clear off and repaint them? Mine have been on a month with no signs of coming off,but I want a different color.
You absolutely can!!
Do you have a video on the different methods we can put Press-on nails on?
I sure do!! Here it is! ruclips.net/video/ycDIKYRbGFg/видео.htmlsi=5gNResv8gNSdpYFu
@@MarlaKris Thank you soooo much!!!!! ☺
I have a question....I love doing press ons, especially since my neighbor wants me to do her nails...She doesn't break these :) anywhooo, when gluing these nails on, 1/2 the time I get glue on my finger, which then gets on the nail that I've already made perfect. Other than having to do the gel topcoat again (I have a gel allergy) how can I prevent getting glue from getting everywhere? Just seeing if there is a better way...
Love the btartbox but the largest doesn't fit my thumbs ☹️
Have you tried filing the cuticle area of the largest size? Thats what I do
Sadly they aren't wide enough unless I push them away from my cuticle and fill in with product. Since I am now highly allergic I can do that even though I have since found new formulas I am not allergic to I am avoiding it. People don't realize how bad contact dermatitis is! Intense itching, blisters, and dry cracked skin for 3 weeks! Sadly, this then makes you more likely to become sensitive to other ingredients. Which as you mentioned in a video can lead to other issues with dental cement, which is also used for knee replacements etc!
Is there a way to use the tabs and make them feel a little more secure and not feel weird? Not sure if that makes sense, lol. I love the ease of them.
I have not tried this yet BUT I’ve heard of people using a blow dryer after you apply the tabs and the press ons and it kind of melts the adhesive to the nail. I’m not sure how easy it would be to remove tho
@@MarlaKris Thanks!
Do they stay on well though?
All depends on how you prep your nails and apply them! Here’s a helpful application video: ruclips.net/video/ycDIKYRbGFg/видео.htmlsi=BmKfkSUe2usQtanh
Hi Marla! I have been following you for a couple of years and have been doing my own dip/gel nails.
However, I seem to have an issue with them lasting now. I also recently purchased and tried the rubber nail gel (I have thin nails so thought it might work better than builder gel). Unfortunately they peeled and damaged my nails and so for the last three weeks I have been using a good quality nail restorer. So my nails have grown about 30% but still have a long way to go before they get totally healthy.
Because of this I am hesitant to start dipping or gelling.
I’ve seen a lot of adds for wrap around press on nails that are semi-cured. They come with a special remover that peels the nail off.
Do you have any experience with these types of press on nails.
How long do these press on nails last that you are demonstrating in this video? I have a lot of nail product already so if these might last it wouldn’t be too much of an investment for me.
I just want something I can use on my itty bitty nubs so my nails look nice but will stay on without damaging them.
I absolutely love your honesty and advice. You are my nail guru! 😊
Appreciate you and your time! ❤
Hey sweets! I SO feel this in my soul! This is one of the reasons I started using press on nails!
I’ve used the semi cured gel wraps a bunch and I love them! Great for pedis too!! Here’s a video that might help you determine if they’re a fit for you! ruclips.net/video/bfui3P-A8-M/видео.htmlsi=pJEpIaBFIgOb8rnQ
@@MarlaKris Thanks Marla I’ll definitely give these a try. They are definitely pricier than your $3 mani with the DIY press ons. Would they have equal longevity and are they removed on the same manner? I’ve never tried any type of press on nails.
@@laurawarnock7959 longevity totally depends on how well you prep and how rough you are on your nails. These are gel strips, so they’re a much thinner enhancement than the press ons but they’re way easier to remove!! I just soak my nails in some warm water for a few min and they are easily nudged off with an orange wood stick. Of course, the better your prep, the longer they last and the more challenging the removal. That’s the general principle
@@MarlaKris thanks Marla for the recommendation on Danni & Toni press on nails. I tried them and they were super easy to put on. Game changer!
I used your coupon code when I ordered so thanks for that! 💕
I know some items you develop relationships with these small business owners which I think is great. I’m wondering if you have this with Danni & Toni? While I received part of my order I did not receive one set of nails I ordered nor the remover. I’ve reached out through all possible channels on their website but have gotten no response. Any suggestions for another way? I ordered directly from their website and not Amazon so I don’t really have recourse there. Not your problem, I know, but I consider you to be a “friend in high places” in the nail world. If not, is there another company you recommend for gel press ons? Thanks so much for your time!
I love this. more diy press on, please❤❤❤
